Q9. Defiled Hearts

Recommended Posts

Q9. Jesus thought them that what comes out of the mouth is what defile them , therefore cleaning  of the outside does not make the good , but also need cleansing of the inside

Jeremiah  said 'There heart is deceitful  above all things and beyond all cure. Meaning in our hearts there is jealousy,  pride, hatred and all other bad things and that defile a man

We look good on the outside because we want to portray outside beauty which is seen by people making us good people , yet the inside we are the opposite ( Beauty and modesty)

We need cleansing inwardly by washing with the blood of Christ , which only one that cleanses us from our unrighteousness

3:3 Disciples Requires Obedience: (Matthew 21`:28-31)

Q 13: Which son represents the tax collectors and prostitutes?

The first son represents the the tax collectors and prostitutes. The first 1st son refused to obey, but later changed his mind. In other words he repented of his answer to his father and choose to be obedient. This is like when we repent of whatever we do and choose to obey the Word of God we find true repentance it is the mark of a true Jesus follower.

Why is it harder to actually obey, rather than just mouth the words?

I believe is because we are sinners many people are full of pride are scared of rejection, or do not completely trust God. We have an example. (Gen 2:16-17). God commanded Adam not to eat from the tree of knowledge.  However, when we are obedient to God, He can use it for His good purpose.

How is the lessons of the parable similar to the lesson of the parable of the wise and foolish builders? (Matthew 7:24-27)

Obedience and repentance. The 1st. was wise and the 2nd were foolish.

Why is actual obedience essential to true discipleship?

Although we are saved by Grace through the redemptive work of the cross and by the Blood of Jesus, it is our obedience sets us apart as authentic children of God. The point of this parables is clear. Those who refuse God, but later repent and obey, like the first son, will inherit the Kingdom.

Q: 14 What is humorous about the parable of the speck and the beam? (Mote and the Beam).

People want to judge you for the wrong actions you may commit, but they refuse to check themselves out. People who do this are spiritually blind. They seem to notice someone else mistake, but not theirs. There is an old saying check yourself before you wreck yourself. In other words don't be such a hypocrite in judging when you yourself is a sinner.

How ca we get to a place where we can see with clear spiritual eyes?

When we allow the full light of Jesus Christ's presence and truth to flow into us. Because Jesus is the Light of the world.

Why does Paul insist that "spiritual" members correct sinning Christians with gentleness?

We all have sin and have fall short of the glory of God. However, God wants Christians to help each other in a loving way. We should not judge one another. Mature Christians should display the Fruit of the Spirit when we need to correct someone.

(Galatians 5:22-23) .

What does judgementalism have to do with hypocrisy?

Both have a lot in common. Judgementalism is forming opinions too quickly about someone or something when you disapproved. The Pharisees were an example because they saw Jesus perform miracles and always had something to say about Him.

Hypocrisy is also when a person tells others to be themselves but criticizes them for being different form the normal. Again, the Pharisees saw Jesus in a very different way.

That its not what goes into a man but what comes out which is from his heart, they're lies all the deceit a man holds.

That the heart is more deceitful than all things.

We worry more about we look like, but we don't worry about what Jesus thinks about us.

Repentance  is necessary for all of us to be saved.

Jesus teaches that noting that enters a man from the outside can make him unclean.  What comes out of man is what makes him unclean.  Jeremiah 17:9 tells us the heart is deceitful.  We try to look good on the outside because we think our outward appearance would hide the wickedness within.  Repentance is necessary because we are corrupt and need inter cleansing and unable to do it ourselves.

Q9. (Mark 7:14-23; Matthew 15:10-11, 15-20)

What does Jesus teach about the heart of man? Mans heart is the seat of our individual problems needing regeneration. The seat of what has been damaged by life events and words ofcothers.

What does Jeremiah 17:9 tell us about the heart of man? Jer 17:9  The heart is deceitful above all things, and it is exceedingly perverse and corrupt and severely, mortally sick! Who can know it [perceive, understand, be acquainted with his own heart and mind]?

Why do we try to look good on the outside, but resist letting Jesus change us on the inside? We fail to understand the mighty weapon of humility agaist the enemy. Not having an I must win over you attitude prevents argument. Forces peace. Look good covers heart attitudes with whitewash. Humility emphasizes you need no defence for your position.

Why is repentance necessary for an outwardly "moral" person in order to be saved? We must be honest with God. I Am is That I Am, all knowing. Joh 2:24  But Jesus [for His part] did not trust Himself to them, because He knew all [men];

Joh 2:25  And He did not need anyone to bear witness concerning man [needed no evidence from anyone about men], for He Himself knew what was in human nature. [He could read men's hearts.] [1Sa 16:7]

We so need what he can do for us through the Holy Spirit’s counsel.

Q9. (Mark 7:14-23; Matthew 15:10-11, 15-20) What does Jesus teach about the heart of man?
It’s not what goes into a man that defiles him but what comes out of him that defiles him.

What does Jeremiah 17:9 tell us about the heart of man?
It is deceitful among all things who could know it.

Why do we try to look good on the outside, but resist letting Jesus change us on the inside?
We think that as long as we keep up appearances on the outside it’ll change our insides.  A trying to keep up with worldly appearances so we can fit to what the word says is acceptable. Physical appearance isn’t important to God it’s what we have going on in the inside that matters to Jesus. When He walked the earth He was available to everybody. When preaching or even healing He didn’t just do it around the upper class or better dressed, He went around the poor. He didn’t care how people appeared outwardly, He came for all people to be saved and filled with the Holy Spirit.

Why is repentance necessary for an outwardly "moral" person in order to be saved?
You must repent in order to have a relationship with God. You can’t continue to live participate in sin knowingly and know better other wise you’re a double minded man. In order to be filled with the Holy Spirit you must turn from the ways of the heathen.
