antonate
All this week through i kept reading these Psalms of praise and it has greatly encouraged me. i keep on reminding myself that Praising God at all times allows to God to act on my behalf. Singing these psalms of praise has enabled me to have a closer walk with Him and enabled me to surrender to His mighty and loving plans He has for me. Old Jerry
I think that Psalm 98 says the things that I feel inside but I can’t to express them in public and that is to “Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth; break forth into joyous song and sing praises!” (Psalm 98:4) I am able to sing praises to the Lord but I can’t seem to have exuberates that I think I should have. Rosesam
Psalm 98 Sing a new song to the Lord who has done great and marvelous things! By the strength of His power and His right hand He has won the victory. The Lord declared His salvation for all the world to know what He can do Faithful in His constant love to Israel; His power is seen all over the earth Sing and shout to the Lord; be joyful to Him, rejoice in the Lord all the earth Play melodiously to the Lord; make music unto Him on harps and lyre Blow the trumpets and the horns and make a joyful symphony to the King Let all in the seas and in the earth resound in shouts of praise to Him Let the rivers clap their hands and you hills, sing out songs of joy Worship the Judge who will rule the world in justice and righteousness
Krissi
It's very difficult to praise Him when near the bottom, but even in these circumstances, I am clinging to Him with a thin sliver of hope. There's always something, no matter how small, for which I can praise Him. And when I can't think of anything current, I can recall what He has done in the past. Delving into the psalms has been a blessing. David is a man like us but one transparent. Such transparency is a trait that God can use to teach and mold the self-revealing believer, but God also uses it to reach those who read or see a believer's heart-felt prose. Transparency is both an outcry and an outreach, that is. There are a handful of people on this site I admire for their transparency. I pray for them because they have revealed what is going on in their lives and therefore have woven a thread that connects us. In all likelihood, I will never meet them. This matters not as I feel I know enough about them to pray for them. -- I have been praying these psalms, putting them into the first-person singular so they feel as if they have come from my lips and heart. Some of the things David writes are like daggers of revelation ... "YES, I know this, I feel this ... this is me." Most importantly, when David speaks of God's response which is what His praise hymns are about, I, too, want to pray ... "Yes, I know Him, I feel Him ... this is God!"
