  1. 1 peter 3:18 Christ died for sins once and for all, the righteous and the unrighteous. He was put to death in the body but made alive by the spirit. Christ died on that old rugged cross for all of our sins even mine, and even each and everyone of us so that we can lay all our sins upon the altar and be free from them, that he will forgive us for them and he will give us a prcious gift of be able to be redeemed from our sins. What a Precious, loving God we have to die upon the cross for all of us.
  2. Jesus died upon the cross and took the punishment for me so that I might have a life with him free of sin because he loved me and wanted me to be able to love and be happy and to know him personally, for without him suffering and dying for my sins and my family we would be living a life of sin and this world would be a very sad place to live all the time.
  3. The servant bore our sins and gave his life as a ransom for them high upon that cross with those nail scared hands and thorn scared brow, he suffered and bled as a punishement for all our sins so that we might be forgiven for them and he rose again so that all we have to do is ask and it will be given(forgiveness for the atonement for our sins) Jesus gave his life for me and for all.
  4. Isaiah 53-12 Therefore I will give him a portion among the great and he will divide the spoils with the strong, because he poured out his life unto death, and was numbered with the transgressors. For He bore the sin of many and made intercession for the transgressors. Mathew 26:28 This is th blood of my covenant, which is poured out for manym for the forgiveness of sins. These two verses plus many others thru out the Bible convinses me that Jesus took the punishement for all our sins and so that we can be forgiven for them.
  5. JESUS died upon that cross to save us all from our sins. So he savd many from their sins. People who wouldn't accept his forgivess is the reason it was wasted, if we do not give our hearts to Jesus and ask for forgiveness, then I feel we are wasting his precious gift that he has and willing to give us, if we will only accept his love and forgiveness.
  6. JESUS died upon that cross to save usallfrom our sins. So he savd many from their sins. 7. GOD WANTED ALL OF US TO KNOW WE MUST REPENT FOR OUR SINS, EVEN THOUGH WE JUST HAVE TO ASK HIM NOW, BUT BACK IN bIBLE TIMES THEY USED THEIR BEST ANIMALS AS A SYMBOL OF ASKING GOD FOR FORGIVENESS AND ATONING FOR THEIR SINS. hE gOD IS LETTING US KNOW WHEN YOU SIN, YOU HAVE TO PAY THE PRICE AND ONLY HE CAN FORGIVE US ALL OUR SINS AND THAT HE REALLY ISN'T HAPPY WHEN WE SIN. bUT WHEN WE ASK HE PROVIDES THE OUTLET AND FORGIVES US OUR SINS. HE SMILES DOWN UPON US THEN.
  8. Animal sacrifice was not adequit for their sins or ours, but God allowed this so they could atone for their sins and God suffered on the cross to atone for our sins. We have it much easier all we have to do is pray and ask God for forgiveness from our sins and he pardons our sins. He was the total sacrifice for our lives.
  9. If we confess our sins and ask for forgiveness or atonement, God will answer. God gave himself as a sacrifice for our sins for all time all he ask is we follow his commandments, he knows we are only human and the only sacrifice he ask of us is our tithe. We don't have to kill an animal as sacrifice. Jesus gave his all so we could be forgiven if we only ask him in prayer.
  10. I agree a little with all about how repulsed the human rade gets with the killing of animals, people do treat their animals as humans so thus they are repulsed by the killing of them. These usally are the same people who have no need for Jesus or the sacrificial lamb.
  11. Sin angers God, he is not angry with the person themselves. Anger leads to doing things wrong or sin Our Lord is a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfullness and loves all no matter what, he forgives our sins when we turn to him, he doesn't let the quilty go unpunished. When we ask him for forgiveness and help to change the way we are he answers, because he loves us and wants us to be the best we can be.
  12. Jesus died to take away our sins as John had stated "Jesus was here to take away our sins" not just for one person but for all. He mad himself a sacrificial lamb to die upon the cross so our hearts could be pure and in John 1:29 John states " he said "Jesus coming toward him and said, : Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world." Then he repeats it again in John 1:36
  13. Gideon leadership with Gods direction keeps Israel strong both Spirituallu and militarially as long as Gideon was alive. I believe his most positive roll was following God and doing what he ask of him and God doth provide the guidance and sometimes the reward for our listening and obeying him and his word.
  14. Spiritual Unfaithfulness is called prostuting themselfs because the Israelites were directing their Love and prayers to the ephod (an Idol) away from from God. Everyone faces a lot of temptations everyday, such as putting food before God, Going to work and acting like you are one of them if they are not Christians. As Christians we should be putting God first in all we do and we should be a testimony to God. We all have families I am sure that aren't Christians and we don't have to act like them. We just have to pray and ask our heavenly father for strength to make it threw amd for the help to guide us threw work and family and friends. God can see us threw anything and everything.
  15. A Snare is a trap. Gideon made the ephod, to tell the truth I still don't understand why Gideonmade the ephod other that the Isrealites associated this ephod making it an idol, but it seems to me that God would of let Gideon know that it was going to be a problem for him and would of told him not to make it. I believe if we really listen and wait for Gods answers we would know what to do. OK so did God have him make this ephod as a trap for the Israelites, to get them in one place? Gideons sin was making the ephod in the first place, which gave the Israelites something else to worship.
  16. An ephod is a holy garment made of linen (in Gideons case) made of gold and is associated with the priesthood. The ephod mught have looked like a high priest which became an idol to the people. I believe Gideon didn't mean for this to become an idol as it has.
  17. I believe Gideon was wrong for asking for a reward for doing Gods work. Gods reward to us was his Love and faith in us to do his work. Gideon also sinned by making an ephod and placing it in Ophrah, where Israel people worshipped it , thus making it an idol and it is wrong to worship idols, this became a trap to Gideon and his family.
  18. God is the only king and ruler and Gideon knew this. The Isrealites lost view that their alligiance was to God and not Gideon.
  19. Gideon I believe did what God told him to do and the way God wanted it done. yes gideon was just to do Gods will.
  20. They were fearful , they thought the Miniate armies would take revenge on them. Because they showed they had no trust in God,s plan, God would punish them in his own time and his own way. Yes we can be guilty of sin in the same way as not to help our fellow man.
  21. Gideon had vanish the Midianites so that the couldn't regroup and attack his people, this was also to protect his people. If we don't finish the job, it will still be there and just keep getting bigger and bigger. God wants us to finish what he has given us to do.
  22. Ephraimites were asked to seize the waters to keep the Midianites from escaping. They were upset because they weren't called before this, I believe God told Gideon what to do and who to use for each thing and he did just that as we all should be following Gods directions. Graciousness, humility and I(we) must be true to God whether anyone else is or not.
  23. This is the answer the Lord gave Gideon to give him reassurance that the victory was his as long as he did what the Lord has asked of him.. I agree with all the other answers also. God is the one who gives us our strength and I,m sure he did for Gideon and his armies.
  24. Lappers were the ones who were more prepared for whatever happened unexpectethe lneelersd or otherwise and just maybe God decided the kneelers could stay and pray for the lappers while they fought. Who knows for sure. Should we really be questioning why God does what he does? NO! I think not. Only he knows why?
  25. He wanted them to be vanguished so they wouldn't become a burden on him when they attacked Israelites again, if we do not finish what God has asked us to do, things will not be different, they will go back as they had been, so always finish what God has asked you to do, even when you are tired and worn out. God will always pull us threw. Because he loves us he will see us threw.
