  1. Pray and Wait for Gods direction always. when you are unsure. Gods ways are not our ways, we are questioning people and we need to be able to be confirmed on what and how God wants us to do, I quess you can say we seem to need a lot of guidance even though we want control over our lives and what we do. We do not pray, wait and listen on the God ,instead of questioning him..
  2. God was letting gideon and his men that it was He and not them that saved them and not Israel themselves. He didn't want them to boast that they had saved themselves. We as Christians need to listen more to God and do as he ask and quit bragging or boasting about things we have done o and let God Lead the way for us. The Love of God is Greater far then tongue or pen can ever tell.
  3. I believe it is ok to ask God for a sign, so we know that we can confirm his direction and that it came from God. I don't believe we should demand anything from God, he gives it freely and he knows when we need a sign all we have to do is pray and ask him for guidance and he will give it in his time. Sometimes we are just to impatient to wait on him. He will guide us threw whatever task he ask of us.
  4. Gideon put the fleece out to prove to himself that God will keep his promises. Whether this was assurance or testing God, was probably a little bit of both. I believe he Gideon just had a few questions he needed answered as we all do at times and we all ask of God in times of need and God is willing to answer all our questions in his time, not ours. Gideons test was for reassurance and sometimes we test God to get what we want, like for example : a new car, house, clothes. Whatever. These aren't doing what God ask of us as Gideon was about to do for God. God Is So Wonderful, that he Loves Us No Matter What and He will Forgive Us If We Just Ask Him.
  5. Joash was a (wishy - washy kind of leader) which is he went back and forth between God and Baal up to this point. Gideons action forced his father to choose between God and Baal and making him realize Baal wasn't God and protecting his son Gideon. I believe Gideon did what God told him and if he had considered his father and let him know what God wanted him to do, He would have talked him out of it or even let Baal know what was going to happen and Baal and his armies would have been waiting for him, the end would have been different. Joash made the right choice by choosing God and not Baal.
  6. Even though we love Christ, if we don't do ask he ask of us aren't we being a disobiedient disciple? Thus my answer is yes we can be disobiedient but our Heavenly Father forgives us if we just pray and ask it of him. We all have choices but sometimes we don't make the right choices because we are only human. God knows the choices we are going to make before we make them, I believe He lets us make them so we can grow with him and learn from the mistakes we make and become close to him. So Gideon made the right choice to do as God told him and God protected him. In God We Trust and as long as we place our trust in him and do as he ask, He will be with us and protect us always.
  7. I don't believe Gideon dishonored his Father and Mother but as we are told to not put others before God, he did exactly that. God should always be first no matter what. I believe Gideon still loved honored and respected his family. God gave him his parents and he thought of them and if you do what God ask of you and show him love and respect and honor Him then you are also honoring your parents.
  8. God had Gideon tear down the alter and the pole to prove his point, That we should have no other God's before us and then had him build a proper altar to the Lord your God on top of this same spot .Gideon did all this at night because he was afraid of his family and the men of the down. He had faith to do what the Lord ask of him, but his weakness was that he was afraid to do it in the daytime, so he did it at night so not to be seen.
  9. God told Gideon that "I will be with you and you will strike down all the Midianites together.. Yes, it is with us, because God is with us in whatever we do and as long as we have God in our hearts and life, we can do anything. I can do all things with Christ who strengthens me. Phillipians 4:13 Dear Lord I can do anything as long as you are with me. Thank you so much for giving me the strength to do all things. In your precious loving and holy name. amen God taught me even when things are rough he is right beside us to carry us threw and he gives us strength to get through even the hard and the rough things and to overcome obsticles in our lives. Praise God from whom all Blessings Flow.
  10. God saw Gideon as a mighty warror. Gideon saw himself as the least in his family and he sates his clan is the weakest. We all know the Lords perception is the most accurate because he knows us and he knows that we all perceive ourselves below what God expects of us. We can do all things with Christ with and in us. We need to realize we can do what God wants us to do,, he is the one who gives us the strength and determination to do the job he gives us, whether it be to help a neighbor or stranger, to show love and caring and encouragement, even when we are feeling down, God gives us love and strngth to carry on and threw prayer God will give us answers. " In God We Trust "
  11. Isrealites broke the 2nd commandment, they prayed to other Gods. God sent them a prophet, that told them what the Lord said, " that he brought them out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. He brought them out from the power of Egypt and drove out their enemies and gave the Isrealites their land. But they did not listen to God. It seems to me that a lot of people today are doing the same thing, not listening to God or heeding the armor (Bible) of God. We have let them take prayer out of schools and God out of the pledge and national anthem. We have forgotten our country was built on God. " In God We Trust "
  12. Gideon was discouraged because God hadn't done anything to protect them That God wasn't with them. We all know that God is always with us and he does things in his own time, not ours. Right? Hi I am Nelda and I live in Missouri and this is my first time with this Bible Study.
