The power to raise someone from the dead is the ultimate power over life and death. Paul is saying we are participants in that same power. WE - US!

In a pagan world, a world of belief in many gods, it was something brand new to be stating that there was a God over all things. We say we believe this, but often our actions prove that we have "other gods," too.

Paul wants the Ephesians, and now us, to realize the power we have received. They couldn't see (get) it. I admit that I can't either. But I do believe strongly in the power of the resurrection, so I need to believe that power is still available, as Paul says it is. The church I am involved with works with those in poverty and addiction. We see lots of defeats. But there are a few victories! We need to see God's power at work changing lives.

I am Thomas from Hot Springs, Arkansas. I'm looking forward to this study. It's going to be an encouragement. I can tell already. I hope several people join the dialogue in 2018!
