  1. We have a big responsibility to love everyone, assisting people who ever they are, in or outside the church, as He enables us to do so.
  2. Faith is only real, and living when it is active, and shown to others and God in our actions. Inactive faih is a head knowledge of the word without practising it.
  3. The power of the tongue is so destructive, and defies our feeble attempts to control it, even when we are saved. Thank goodness we have a forgiving God who loves even when we sin!
  4. We need to let God always take the lead in our lives, and be guided by his word, listening to his answers when we pray.It is so easy for us to think we are letting God lead us, but infact let our experiences and thoughts cloud our judgement. If we act humbly, and say each time if it is the lords will..., we will get our focus on what God is saying to us more clearly.Avoiding being presumptious, and boasting in any way that we have the answers, only acting in a humble way. If we go to the lord with every step, to get approval about each point before moving on, we can have total assurance once we have sensed his leading, that the path indicated is the best one, and to go for it, depending on his wisdom not ours.
  5. It is so tempting to voice our frustrations at what others do to us, to others, but if we judge them are we not guilt of not keeping the Royal Law to love your neighbour as yourself. Speaking to the person or people directly in a calm, loving way, is a way I would want to try to do. God help me in this, and your prayers too.
  6. The actions humblinging ourselves, submittingour selves to God,resisting the devil, coming near to God, washing our hands and purifying our hearts, repenting our sins are all essential for us to live a life of true joy in the love of Jesus. We do easily get distracted away into other actions. I too find resisting the devil the hardest at the moment, but with God's grace I feel I can win each daily battle.
  7. a)God is not against good pleasure, only self-seeking, selfish pleasures that in the end hurt ourselves, others and God. b)Living to increase one's own pleasure, is selfish, and we are denying other people our love and other good things that God wants us to have and for us to share with others.
  8. Trials have been tough whilst going through them, but gradually I have seen how God is able to use these trials to teach me further about faithfullness even when it is tough, and developing the "hang in there" attitude, and not giving up. It is more when looking back at the worst times, that I can see how much I have grown to depend daily on God, leant more from his word, and learned not to rely on my own strength, but trusting Him more and more.
  9. I am from UK and think I will enjoy the JesusWalk studies on james, and benefit from it's practical teaching.
