Q4. (Luke 13:18-20) According to these parables in this lesson, in what ways is the Kingdom small? It is small in that it is only one way to enter in. Repent, believe in the Lord Jesus with all your heart, accept Him and confess with the mouth and thou shall be saved. This is hard for some people to do, because they put so much ahead of Christ. I was also included with that group at one time, but thank God for His grace and mercy.
In what ways does the Kingdom grow? one heart sharing with another the beautiful news of the Kingdom.
In what ways is the Kingdom door narrow? It is narrow in that it is only one way to enter in and that is receiving the Lord Jesus as one's personal savior, repent and turn away from the old life style and live the new life according to the Kingdom rules. We can not do it our way, but do it God's way. It is only one way.

Because people will come from all over which makes it large and diverse. There will be people of all color in heaven. Only those who obeyed and heeded to the call and were obedient can enter in.

He teaches that the kingdom is spiritually discerned and one must be born of water and of the Spirit to enter in. No, Nicodemus did not understand Him, because he was trying to understand it in the natural.

It is something that we should be willing to leave all and follow Him. It is like a treasure that we hid, or a pearl of a great price. We value it so little when we have shallow relationships with Christ. Our whole heart is not after Him. We appreciate it's full value the more that we get to know Him. The friend would know that if Christ has changed me and given me so much wisdom, He can do the same thing for my friend.

Poverty and self sacrifice is an inadequate religion because we are not really giving up anything to follow Christ. Christ wants a genuine relationship with us. He wants our hearts, our total being. He wants those who serve Him in spirit and in truth. Sacrifice of the flesh will not do. Christ asked the man to follow Him because He could see the potential in the young man. He could see that he could give the young man a first hand experience with Him and the young man could learn from the True and Living God. He rejected the offer because he had many riches.

Because he valued his fortune above all things. Because we may have something, of had something at one time that came between us and Christ. The time is now to make the decision to totally follow Him. If we love money above all things, we can lose our salvation and not obtain eternal life.

Both of the Parables stress the value of the Kingdom of God. We should be willing to leave all to follow Christ. It is just that wonderful. He tells us to Seek first the Kingdom of Heaven and all these things will be added unto you. We will get wealth, riches and whatever we need, but we have to be willing to seek Christ first. The main point is to look to Jesus and follow His example. Don't let anything come between our relationship with Him. He knows the only right way. He knows everything.

One will be saved and one will be lost although they will be together. This is a time of separation. We need to live Holy lives. Live as if Jesus is physically walking with us everyday. Let our lives be a testimony that we are living for Him. We have to be willing to lose our lives for Him, because this present world is not our home. We need to live so that someone else will want the life that we have. We need to whitness to our neighbor so that they will not be lost.

Just like the people of Noah's day and the people of Sodom and Gomorah, we have had ample warning. Therefore, Christ will not warn us anymore. He will come suddenly and illuminate the sky from left to right and we will all see Him. We should have an attitude of readiness, by living holy and obedient lives.

It was present in Jesus in that He taught people how to live the life that God had for them. The Kingdom within is a changing of our thoughts. The more that we receive God's Word, the more we know how to live in the Kingdom. It is present in that we can live in it right now if we are willing and obedient.
