Why does Paul pray that the believers grasp the fullest extent of Christ's love for them? without the believers who will pray for you (THE UNBELIEVERS) How does comprehending this love change a person's spiritual life? it just makes it stronger and willing to share with others. wanting them to feel the same way that you do. Is there any end to Christ's love for a person? i guess i'd have to say yes & no. GOD knows the future and will know if you will ever come around. and in knowing this after trying over and over with no avail then he leaves out on your own, which means that the devil will get you. yet he still loves you it's boundless.

What is the result in prayer and faith if believers think that God is poverty-stricken? that it's worthless. you do things (pray) because you have hope. otherwise why do it. How does knowledge of a "glorious inheritance" motivate our lives? Our prayers? a reason to do it. something to come out of it. being able to inherit an ever lasting life in heaven with GOD. How can you pray for others to glimpse this inheritance? you see someone in trouble would you go over and do what you can. needing salavation is someone in need of help from GOD and your prayer is part of your helping in a way that you can.

How has your Christian "hope" changed your way of living? i'm not as angry any more. most things don't seem to be as important as before (minimal). anything that's important for me to live will be provided and so i don't streee over it as i use to. i get along better with some that i didn't before. What is the result of Christians with only a meager or minute hope? you get what you put out. min for min. How would you pray for hope to be borne in others? i pray by asking GOD if he sees it in thier future to give them salavation.

Did Jesus get "special treatment" because he was the Son of God to have angels help and strengthen him in his spiritual struggle? Do we get that help, too? i wouldn't say that he recieved special treatment. the point was for him to be an example to us. what kind of example would Jesus of been if he could have more available to him than any other human. it wouldn't do us any good then would it. the help that Jesus prayed for was and still is available to us all.

When Jesus prayed "not my will, but yours be done," was the Father pleased? Why is the Father not pleased when we are passive and uncaring and dispassionate in our prayers that his will be done? What is required for us to pray the prayer of submission with authenticity? yes he was pleased, knowing what he knew and asking to be let out of it. yet if there's no other way willing to do GOD's will because GOD knows all.

Why did Jesus pray that the Father take the cup from him? he's of human flesh and knew what was to come. According to Mark and Matthew, Jesus repeated this prayer three times. Why was he so intense about it? What did this mean? he was humanly hoping of another way to accomplish GOD's will Why was Jesus resisting the Father's will? Or was he? he wasn't resisting it just hoping for another way.

Why did he ask his disciples to pray? to have the help of GOD for what will be coming in the future for them. What temptation did Jesus know they would be facing? thier lives on the line for Jesus What was the content of their prayer to be? to follow in Jesus' path Did they actually pray this prayer diligently? i would think not...otherwise they wouldn't of made the mistakes they made How does the Lord's Prayer word this kind of prayer? it shows his true feelings, yet tells GOD that even though he doesn't care for what's to happen to him if that's what GOD wants then he'll abide by it. Why do you think Jesus wanted to be alone during his own prayer? it's personal between him and his father. also not to show weekness to the apostles and it would scare them.

What danger is Nehemiah in? from being placed in the dungen to death. Why does he pray quickly and silently before he answers the king? to ask GOD for his help, knowing that he is asking for something big and can't achieve it alone. How does this quick "arrow prayer" relate to the four months of prayer he has just finished? (a quick reminder) just because he spent 4 months praying doesn't mean that is what GOD has in mind for him. it also shows that he knows who's in charge.

In what way does Daniel's situation compared to Esther's. they both fast and did what it would take to get the king's attention. then asked that both themselves and thier people be saved. Why does God place his people in strategic positions today in the community, in business, in the military, in government? 1st it's a test to see what willbe done with the power, 2nd for them to do good with this honor. What responsibilities do we have to God that can cause danger to our positions and our lives? to do what we can for others with the gifts that he has given us. and in using this in the wrong way your life on earth will be miserable and there won't be any ever lasting life with Jesus. Has this ever happened to you? yes i'd have to say that i've been on both ends of this situation. someone's power was used against me for i was more popular. and when i had the power i didn't always use it for good either. How do you pray in situations like this? dear GOD in heaven thank you for my gift, and please take the reins of my life to show me how to use this power to do good for you and all your people. for you are all knowing.

What is the basis of Nehemiah's appeal? How does he argue his case before God? Remember the instruction you gave your servant Moses, saying, 'If you are unfaithful, I will scatter you among the nations, 9but if you return to me and obey my commands, then even if your exiled people are at the farthest horizon, I will gather them from there and bring them to the place I have chosen as a dwelling for my Name.' What do we learn from this about intercession? not to give up. if GOD is willing to let you have something then you will get it. not necessarily in your time frame but when it's the right time for all.

What was Daniel's essential prayer? What are the various grounds of Daniel's appeal? How did God answer the prayer (see Daniel 9:20-23)? it was to turn away his anger and his wrath from his people of jerusalem his city, his holy hill, to forgive for his own sake for the city and the people bear his own name. the arch angle gabriel came down from heaven with a message even before daniel was finished his prayer with a response what GOD was going to do from then until the end.

Since Daniel is such a righteous man in his generation, why does he identify himself with the sins of his people? He didn't commitment them. How does this compare to how Jesus sought forgiveness for his people? that's right he didn't committ the sins himself, yet he wants all of his people to be saved so he takes on thier sins and approches GOD with them asking for forgiveness. Jesus did the same thing only he had to physically be trialed for the entire world to be forgiven.

What is Daniel's demeanor as he prays? we have sinned and done wrong. We have been wicked and have rebelled; we have turned away from your commands and laws. 6We have not listened to your servants the prophets, who spoke in your name to our kings, our princes and our fathers, and to all the people of the land. How does he prepare? he professes the sins of GOD's choosen people, shows that he understand why they were scattered Why is this so important in this case? to show GOD that we have observed our sins, understand the consequences of them and are truly sorry for having committed them. In what ways might you and I prepare for intercession? that when we (speak) pray to GOD that it's with all our hearts and souls and not just pretty words. anyway you're not fooling anyone but yourself.

What encourages Daniel to seek God for the forgiveness and restoration of Israel to its homeland? ]I, Daniel, understood from the Scriptures, according to the word of the LORD given to Jeremiah the prophet, that the desolation of Jerusalem would last seventy years What trait on Daniel's part brings this encouragement to pass? I prayed to the Lord my God and confessed:(the power of prayer)

Why is this prayer of surrender to God so difficult to pray? human beings like to be the ones in control, that's why humility is so difficult for most of us. When was the first time you prayed this kind of prayer to God? What was the result? about a year ago. i was teaching my 2nd grade religous class and though i could just do it along with my knowledge of GOD and besides they were just 7 and 8 year olds. well by the end of that class not one of the kids looked like they understood what i was talking about, i went over thier heads (told them to much.) i pondered what i did wrong and prayed not to do it again. finally the following week i decided to let Jesus take the reins of my life for the day. it turned out to be great best lesson i've ever taught. i know that Jesus wants us to be in between. not to have him do everything (put out an effort) yet he's there to help as well and he does know better than i do. Can a person be a genuine disciple without praying this kind of prayer? NO! have to relize your limits and the willingness of GOD.

How does an awareness of God's involvement in your prenatal development meant to encourage you? that before you were even a person GOD cared and loved you. What might this mean to a young woman carrying a child? 1st that GOD loves this child already , so he'll care for it. and 2nd if GOD loves this child so should you.he's watching over him (her) and will help you with it. A young father-to-be? your human child is special to GOD, so it should be to you as well. GOD gave you this special gift do the best that you can for it. Why is such knowledge overwhelming to us? it's hard to comprehend something being known before it is to happen, somtimes our minds are limited to just what we can physically can ourselves only do.

In verses 5 and 10, how does God's hand touch the psalmist? he feels debateable, 1st he feels good that GOD choose him, then he says that he doesn't care for being constantly watched. yet he likes the idea of being safe Have you ever felt God's hand on you in a special way? yes, in doing what i need even when i didn't mention it to him, or didn't even realize that i needed his help Was it for your good? it's always for my good even if i don't think so at the time...i eventually see it. What was it like? at 1st it was unusual, but now i'm appreciating it because i understand it better...it's always amazing no matter how often it happens.

Why do people sometimes want to flee from God? because they are feeling guilty of thier actions Why do people imagine that God doesn't know what they do? out of sight out of mind. if i don't believe it , it isn't so Have you ever felt this way? not so much in the past 2 years

Why is a person's attitude with regard to giving related to that person's attitude towards praise? giving doesn't necessarily mean that you believe or praise the lord.how about i give you an example. where i teach religious ed. there are other teachers that are teaching it yet don't live it. when asked why they do it . answered my child is here anyway. or it's fun being with the kids.(that's GOD using non-believers) Why does an attitude of possessiveness with regards to giving get in the way of worship? because you're doing it for the wrong reason. doing it as an investment looking for a return. not because you truly love and believe in GOD In what sense do all your possessions belong to God? he created them, all belongs to him. What then should be your relationship to your possessions? as if they are only on loan. How will these truths re-energize your giving? Your praise? make them from the heart and stop overthinking it out.

Verses 11 and 12 both attribute various characteristics to God, such as glory, honor, and might. How might you begin to mention God's greatness in your own prayers? Where is this kind of praise found by example in the Lord's Prayer? What are your favorite songs that point to God's greatness? i always start my prayers with praise, then thankfulness, followed by asking for forgiveness for my sins. in the 3rd line...halo be thy name. meaning that he is holy. can't be touched by anyone i don't have any favorite, as long as it sings of GOD it's there for me. i can say though that the harder it is to sing the more i get a feeling from it.

. In what way does praise exalt God? Why should we exalt God? What does this exaltation do in us? What does it say about us? in praising it shows him that we truly believe and care. and as soon as i do it a feeling starts growing in me. i immediately feel it filling me up and a glow comes over me. it shows him that we Love him.

In what way do our prayers of praise "bless" God? What do we mere humans have that God desires in a blessing? What are prayers like, that don't include blessing God? our prayers of praise bless GOD by showing him that we acknowledge his almighty being. and that we are thankful. and without it he feels that we are being independent and not needing him. so he becomes unavailable to us. it's like someone never getting the credit for the things that they've done for you. after awhile those things will desist for that person will think you no longer need them. and when this occurs with GOD you'll be in deep trouble.

What does it mean to have a broken heart and spirit? i think of it in 2 ways A-you know that you've sinned and are so sorry that you've hurt GOD's feelings that your own heart hurts. B-when you think that there's no solution to your problem (even after prayer) because sometimes our time isn't always GOD's time. or our way isn't always GOD's way. Why is this essential in the prayer for pardon? A- to show GOD that you're thinking of him and not yourself. B-to show that you're really hurting yet you haven't given upon him. In what sense is this a "sacrifice"? A & B-pride is a large factor in people. in doing a prayer for pardon shows GOD that you have made a mistake and are asking him for forgiveness. this humbles you. to most that is a sacrifice. Why do we tend to resist a "broken and contrite heart" in ourselves?

Is it possible to have a pure heart? yes- from the moment that you choose jesus (baptism) How does God bring about a pure heart? he let's you start with a clean slate. that's why he sent us jesus, to make it possible. otherwise no one would be able to. What is our part in this? to try our hardest to follow in jesus' footsteps. and when we stumble to pray for forgiveness. also don't think that you can do it alone (no one can) pray to GOD for guidence. he's waiting to hear from you.

In his prayer does David seek to minimize his sins?To maximize them? no he's not doing either. it's the way he's talking that may be misleading. he's truly sorry for what he's done. and the sin is worst through GOD's eyes than anyone else's. for whatever you do onto others that you do onto me. GOD is the one to be rectified first than if possible anyone else. Why does an authentic prayer for pardon require clear, unvarnished acknowledgement of sin to be effective? so you yourself can actually voice what you have or haven't done. bring it to realization (for GOD doesn't need you to tell him what you've done he already knows. but maybe you done realize the whole of your own sin. and that you are truly sorry and seek GOD's forgiveness.
