  1. Giving into what we see. In daniel 3:28 God changed the Kings word (KJV). If we just give up "oh well" I guess it must be God's will for me to suffer etc. I'm of a different mind. I feel like my three Hebrew Brothers, if He delivers fine if not fine, I'm going to stand on His word till there's nothing left to stand on. Psalm 11:3 says if the foudation be destroyed what can the rigtheous do? If the fabric of our belief is removed what have we left, HIS WORD. If I've got to stand in the middle of space holding on to His written word I'll do it. I call that kind of belief, fatal error and misappropriation of His word. If God knows what I have need of, yet still requires me to ask, then its my fault if I'm hungry. I believe that God is trying to get us out of "me and my four, and no more" kind of mindset. Steven asked God the same thing that Christ asked, Lord forgive them for they know not what they do. God said Nineveh had people that didn't know their right hand from their left. We've got to look out for the other people. Like someone looked out for us.
  2. Appealing to God's righteousness, mercy. I think that when we remind God as did Moses' that we're being watched by others how we respond. God himself said to be angry but to sin not. Moses' is saying "okay, you're angry but only remember people are watching. Because of their relationship. He's the one that God said He speaks to face to face. They have developed a relationship, in which Moses' felt compfortable in speaking this way. It means to give God back His word. To put Him in rememberance of what He has said. Not that He forgot, but to show Him we were listening. It helps me to pray in accordance to God's will, it eliminates the Holy Spirit from having to edit out all of the words that aren't relevent. We're saying the same thing. Beginning to agree this is the best route to take.
  3. The people just that quickly forgot that it was God who had brought them out and not some man made god. god had every right to become angry, they're giving credit to a dead god for what only He could've done. God can be angry with man's actions as well as his inactivity. The Bible says He's angry with the wicked all day. Many times his righteousness demands His anger because of the actions that humans take. Though His anger is tempered with mercy. Yes God would be just in all His doings concerning mankind. Because His character is love and He's benevolent etc. all His actions are right (righteous).
  4. Most times I'm always doing something that needs forgiving. Try as I might there's always something that I've missed, for me its a great "cover" it keeps the lines of communication open. I want to know that in a pinch I can ask, without having to replay the day or week looking for something I missed. Forgiving even as we have been forgiven is tight, but right. If I can't forgive the plumber for over charging me how do I expect God to forgive me if I miss paying my Tithe. Then when I ask for God to perform that financial miracle for me He's saying "yeah right".
  5. Mainly because of our up bringing, and various cliche's. Plus no one wants to be beholding to another person. People want to feel as though they're the Captain of their own ship. We hear of self made men who pulled themselves up by their own boot straps (nobody ever gave me nothing) but where did they get the boots with straps? Mostly because of shame, I know that I'm not living right and feel embarressed to ask a Holy God for His help when I've plainly ignored Him. It keeps us humble and dependent, we teach our children to be independent and to make decisions on their own, but feel slighted and hurt when they don't ask for our help or advice. According to the ORIGINAL definition of father (mine) it's someone who's always there, because I'll always be in need, and he knows it, and waits loving for my call.
  6. We're asking in our daily contact with others, through conversation or actions to others who don't know the joys of christian living or how life should be lived in a way thats pleasing to God. Daily inter-action praying for the sick (there's none in Heaven) So those without hope may see what God call's life, and that abundantly not the daily grind or rat race. Waking up singing or waking up excited about today. Rather than what are the day's head lines. Looking for an opportunity to show off "Thy Kingdom" letting Heaven touch earth one day at a time, through us. Giving the hopeless hope.
  7. I believe obedience to His word, and compassion towards one another helps us to "hallow" His name. Since we're called by His name when we honor and respect another child of God its like honoring Him as well. Willfulness, selfishness cause grief to the Father, How we treat each other (forgive my repitition) Jesus said if you've unto the lest of my little ones you've done unto me. By knowing that we've treated everyone as Christ & His Father treats me. I often when angry with my children, quickley remember, is that how my father treats me when i mess up. So when I pray I feel clear in my spirit that I've forgiven and forgotten as He has.
  8. Hi everyone, I'm about a day late and several dollars short, but glad to be here. Looking forward to meeting others and growing in grace. (as i learn how to navigate on this , I'm in Philadelphia and Love the Lord
