  1. All I have to say is Praies God that he is a wonderful and giving father, wether he answers our prayers the first time we ask or the hundredth. I am so thankful that he has even taken the time to be interested in me and my problems. Parying had changed my life and the lives of many that I love. I have seen many answers to my prayers and there are many that I still wathing answers for. Either way I know that he is always with me.
  2. I can't think that God would be anything but pleased in Abrahams persistance in praying to God on behalf of Sodom, and in his faith that God would answer his prayers. When we pray we must believe that what we pray for matters to God, even the smallest detail, and that if what we pray for falls into the will of God that our prayers will be answered. Thanks that we have such a loving and merciful God.
  3. If we were to believe in predestination, then what would be the point of praying at all? Rather than if we believe that what we feel or think matters to our loving God. I believe that God wants to hear from us weather we are happy angry or sad. He already knows what is in our hearts anyway. A real relationship is built upon real feelings. I have prayed to God with angry feeling for some of the things that have gone on in my life and I have had people tell me that I shouldn't do that. Although I feel we should give thanks in ALL situations, I believe that honesty is key to any relationship. God has then been able to answer me when I have been confused, hurt or angry as shown me the purpose of the situation and has blessed me greatly through this. I believe that through my prayers my life has been changed as well as many lives around me. Praise God for he is loving and merciful.
  4. Yes of course God was very justified to be very angry. These were the people whom he lead out of bondage, protected by cloud and fire and provided food for every evening and morning with manna and quail. Then the minute he was out of sight how quickly they forgot all he had done, became impatient and selfish and created another God that they thought would supply all they WANTED. They gave into their sinful ways, turned away from the promises they made to God. This all souds very ughy..but in all truth we are not unlike these people at all. How quickly when we do not receive what it is that we think we NEED, we then try to accomplish it or get it by ourselves. We are also stiffnecked people trying to direct our own path rather than to go in the direction that God is telling us to go. We do not build Gods out of gold but every day we make gods of our relationships, jobs and money. Everytime we place something in a place of more importance than God, we are telling God that this is more important than HE. I can only thank Jesus that he is there to intercede for me when God gets fed up with me and all my mistakes. Praise God that he has mercy on us and can see what is in my heart, for my actions are not always a good reflection af what is in my heart. My aim is to glorify God. I just do not always do a good job at it.
  5. When I pray to God to forgive me for my sins, I know that he has already forgiven me for them. But it is a way of bringing attention to them, telling God that I am sorry for failing Him over and over again and asking Him for stregnth to not repeat them. It is a way of making me accountable for what I do, and facing up to the consequences. Thank God that He has already paid the price for me. As a parent of 3 teenagers that quite often make bad choices and mistakes, I am able to forgive them for what they have done even b4 they know that I know what they have done. But it is nice to see them step up and admit their mistakes-even though they have allready been forgiven. I think God too wants us to recognize our mistakes and admit them to Him and even say we are sorry-even if we have already been forgiven. Life would not be very good if we all continued to do whatever we wanted because we have already been forgiven. I am absolutely sure that is not what he intended. we still need to Go to Him and face Him with the mistakes we make.
  6. [Asking for help in many cultures is a great sign of weakness, a show that we cannot provide for ourselves-but wether it be a relationship with a spouse of God, when we learn to rely on each other, that is only when a relationship can begin. My sons football coach always tells the boys that ther is no "i" in the word team, it takes everyone to win the game. The simple fact is, is that no matter how much we would like to believe that we are in control, we are not -if it would be Gods, will we would not have woken up this morning or to realize that there is nothing that we have that we could not loose in a moments time wether it be to natural disaster, divorse or loss of a job. We need to leard to take all that we have and give them back to God-then whatever he allows us to keep is gift from Him and we need to be very thankful!! Thanks be to God that he is such a wonderful, generous and careing God
  7. Daily prayer helps me to focus on living my life according to Gods will and not mine!! Through service to others I have learned that I can only move closer to God as I move farther away form myself. Is is through everything that we say and do that makes Gods kingdom all he wants it to be. Remember that it is also our responsibility to invite others to share in feast that God has invited us to..and how wonderful it is that eventhough as sinners still here on earth that he gives ua a small tast of what is to come!! Praise Gods for he is Mighty!!
  8. Good morning all! I think that we as christians hollow Gods name every day when we focus our lives on being a reflection to others of the love that God holds for us. When we do not do this and we allow ourselves to be pulled into the world and all of its sinful ways we desecrat his name. I like to first before I pray meditate on the one who huing the stars in the sky, formed the mountains with his hands, filled the seas and then left his throne to become a man. How lucky we are that a God so magestic and awsome cares so much about us!!
