  1. Q2. (2 Corinthians 8:4, 7-9, 19) What does grace have to do with giving? What does giving look like when it isn’t accompanied by grace? What does it look like when grace prompts your giving?Because JESUS is LOVE,grace only comes from GOD,SOOO it takes JESUS LOVE that prompts us to give...Vain glorious !!!Natural stinginess of the flesh is over come through the LOVE of CHRIST...GOD BLESS
  2. Q1. (2 Corinthians 8:1-5) Why is it so difficult to give when we are stressed by circumstances and bills and pressures? What can we learn from the example of the Macedonians and the poor widow? How will this lesson affect your own giving?Because of the constant battle between Spirit & flesh,if one is grounded in Spirit then you understand that GOD will make a way just have FAITH...flesh gives you the chicken little fear that the sky is falling...TRUE FAITH that when you have only twos & fews still give because GOD is in CHARGE...Keeps me grounded...GOD BLESS
  3. Q4. (2 Corinthians 7:5) What are the distinctions between fear, faith, and courage? Why is being honest about our fears better than pretending we don’t have any fears? How did Paul deal with his fears?Fear is from the flesh,Faith is from the Spirit, courage comes from a belief that one shall over come the obstacle....It is said that 50%of the battle in defeating a problem is ADMITTING that you have a problem, being dishonest/hiding behind fear only keeps you locked in the battle with no sight of victory...By admitting he had them & welcoming others into the problem to UPLIFT the situation...GOD BLESS
  4. Q3. (2 Corinthians 6:14-7:1) What kind of separation is Paul calling the Corinthians to? How can they strike a balance between separating themselves from sinful practices that mess up their spiritual lives while at the same time maintaining friendships with pagan neighbors and co-workers?Spiritual Ways from fleshly ways from within and without...It is hard to battle self/inner demons less having to deal with temptations from the same demons at others expense...Staying PRAYED UP,FASTED UP & MEDITATED UP helps us keep the FULL ARMOUR OF GOD protecting those that LOVE the LORD...GOD BLESS
  5. Q2. (2 Corinthians 6:14-18) What are the reasons Paul gives us – both in his letter and by quoting Old Testament scriptures – that we should live holy lives? What kinds of temptations did the Corinthians face in their notorious city. We are Holy because GOD is HOLY and lives within us,when we have GODS Light in us then we cant walk in darkness...Pagan worship was part of everyday life, even though we live in this world we dont have to partake in its activities...Corinthians had to be mindful that visiting a relatives house food served might have been offered to the devil.demons...GOD BLESS
  6. Q1. (2 Corinthians 6:3-13) Why do you think Paul shares so much about his various struggles with the Corinthians? How does this help them accept his apostleship as authentic? Have you ever complained about what you’ve had to put up with in your ministry? How does it compare to what Paul faced?Saul pre-crucifixion wasnt an Apostle of Christ, but a persecutor of"The WAY"...On the road to Damascus post crucifixion JESUS commissioned Saul and changed his name to Paul also told him how he would have to suffer for the Church...Its good to know that others also suffer for CHRIST,kind of like group therapy...Yes have had many pity parties, nothing on the physical sense but i think that Spiritually satan attacks anyone who is trying to further GODS Kingdom...GOD BLESS
  7. Q4. (2 Corinthians 5:18-6:2) If you, then, are called to be an urgent agent of reconcilia-tion, how is this likely to affect your daily life? How will it affect how people perceive you? How will it affect how God perceives you? It will cause me to come out of my COMFORT ZONE which is perceived as interrupting my daily routine, case in point when i stopped to help some ladies fix a flat tire.I worked up a sweat before going back to the office from my lunch break but i told them to put the money they offered me into Church collection on Sunday...The ladies were very thankful because i was a GOD send for them their jack didnt work & the spare tire didnt have air in it...JESUS was pleased that i came out of my comfort zone...GOD BLESS
  8. Q3. (2 Corinthians 5:21) In what sense did Jesus “become sin” on our behalf? In what sense do we “become righteousness”It is a hard concept for our fleshly minds to wrap itself around...Looking at sin from a secular perspective,we as humans MIGHT carry our own heavy load and maybe help a loved 1/friend carry theirs BUT help someone that hates us is out of the question...Well JESUS who had no personal heavy load/sin carried mine(which breaks my back)and EVERYONE that came before me existed with me and will come after me(billions of people)to the cross...As each one on their personal Christian walk with JESUS learns to carry heavy loads for people we wouldnt while in the flesh/secular world allows us to"STRIVE" for righteousness...GOD BLESS
  9. Q2. (2 Corinthians 5:18-20) How have we humans been reconciled to God? What did God do so that reconciliation could take place? In what sense are you an Ambassador of the Kingdom of God? In what sense are you a Minister of Reconciliation for Jesus Christ?Wages of sin is death, since JESUS died on the Cross and raised 3 days from the dead He was given the keys to death and life...Because we are born in sin only JESUS BLOOD can reconcile us back to GOD...Sent His Son to the Cross...Aspiring to be Holy because JESUS is HOLY and sharing HIS GOOD NEWS to a dying world...JESUS says the healthy dont need a physician but the sick do,minister to the lost/sick in this world so HOPEFULLY none will perish...GOD BLESS
  10. Q1. (2 Corinthians 5:16-17) What does verse 17 teach us about the nature of a new believer? What changes in a person when he puts his faith in Christ? Why don’t old habits disappear immediately if everything has become new?Belief in JESUS allows us the GRACE/MERCY to make the secular world changes needed to become a better CHRISTIAN...The Holy Spirit lives in that person to be the COMFORTER...Because the flesh is still present trying to exert its influence in a 24/7,365 battle between Spirit & flesh...GOD BLESS
  11. Q4. (2 Corinthians 5:10-11a) How does Paul’s mention of the Judgment Seat of Christ fit the context here? How should our belief that we Christians will appear before the Judgment Seat of Christ to be judged for our works affect (1) our desire to please him? (2) Our motivation to persuade people to receive Christ? LOVE is the key,yes JAMES says Faith without WORKS is dead but if the work we do is not done in LOVE then it will not STAND...ONLY what we do for CHRIST in LOVE will STAND...1 Corinthians 13 Paul eloquently sums it up FAITH,HOPE,LOVE the greatest of these 3 is LOVE,what ever we do as non-believers or Christians if not done in LOVE will not STAND the test of the Judgement Seat and will be burned along with everything else...GOD BLESS
  12. Q3. (2 Corinthians 5:7) What does it mean to walk by faith, not by sight? Why can’t nonbelievers understand this kind of living? What aspects of your life are guided by your senses rather than by your faith? How can you bring a faith perspective into these areas? Understand in total TRUTH that GOD is in control of every aspect in creation, which means the very next breath of air cant be taken for granted that it will be there...As WE all once were believing the universe revolved around us,things in life happen only because i made it happen...The simple fact that my senses taste, sight, smell, touch are taken for granted because i still expect that they will function when i need them...When i see someone that doesnt have or has lost senses that i take for granted it is a wake up call...GOD BLESS
  13. Q1. (2 Corinthians 5:1-5) In what sense are our bodies like tents? If we were to truly look forward to our “house not made with hands,” how would it affect our daily lives here?Tents are for temporary residence so are our bodies,if 1 looks to make either a permanent abode they will find that in TIME all things will pass away except the WORD of GOD...We would be living not for this world/life but to the Eternal/Spiritual that will come with Salvation and the Resurrection...GOD BLESS
  14. Q2. (2 Corinthians 5:6-8) How do Paul’s words comfort you when you consider your death? What do Christians believe happens when we die? What will happen to us if we die before Christ returns? What will happen to us when Christ returns? That i will live again because i believe JESUS died on the cross for my sins and was raised 3 days from the dead to provide for my salvation...Our flesh returns to dust and our Spirits await judgement day...We sleep until Jesus return...We will be caught up in the Resurrection when Jesus comes again...GOD BLESS
  15. Q5. (2 Corinthians 4:15-18) In what way do problems and physical deterioration help us toward “an eternal weight of glory”? Why is it so easy to focus on temporal matters to the exclusion of eternal things? Why is a focus on eternal things so important to our spiritual growth? What can we do to help shift our focus?Because it is during these times that we come to understand how fragile the flesh is & how it fails us...Most temporal things are tangible that are happening in the here & now, where as the eternal things are Spiritual/ intangible and must be Believed by Faith...When we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord & Savior our perspective of looking at how we live in this world must shift from physical/flesh point of view to a Spiritual one because our being will change from a mortal/flesh to an Immortal/Spiritual...Keep our eyes on JESUS who is the Author & Finisher...GOD BLESS
  16. Q4. (2 Corinthians 4:8-12) How does it encourage you to know that Paul went through tremendous stress and pressure? What effect did these sufferings have on the way people could see Christ in Paul? Why is pain necessary to spiritual growth? How does our pain allow others to assess our authenticity as Christians?Going through Pastor James McDonaids Bible study series he says"Dont think that i am the 1 Christian to go through a season of suffering, the Bible list many examples"...When Saul was knocked down and blinded on the road to Demascus Jesus changed his name to Paul and told him how he would suffer to bring the Gospel, people saw him still as Saul the murderer until Christ shown through Paul...Because JESUS suffered/Died for our sins we must suffer to get rid of our sinful ways to become more like Him,our flesh is will be kicking and screaming until our deaths...When people who know your past see that you dont talk the way you use to talk,or do things like you use to do them it helps them to know that you are a NEW Creature...GOD BLESS
  17. Q3. (2 Corinthians 4:7) What truth is Paul seeking to communicate by this analogy of a treasure in a pottery jar? What does the clay jar represent? What does the treasure represent? What’s the paradox here? That as sin natured as our flesh is GODS HOLY SPIRIT resides within us...Human beings,HOLY SPIRIT...That a Being who cant lie,has no sin resides in such a sinful people...GOD BLESS
  18. Q3. (2 Corinthians 3:4-6) What is the balance between the need for training in ministry (either in the local church or in schools) and personal submission to the Spirit of God? Are you able to “listen to the Spirit’s voice” in your own life? Why would this ability be so important in being a competent minister?Word says that 1 must show themselves approved, knowing the WORD of GOD and accepting the HOLY SPIRIT as the ADVOCATE is the balance for a Christian life...Yes when i am in the Spirit but when i am in flesh it is difficult"The SPIRIT is willing but the flesh is weak"!!!How can the Shepard lead the flock if the Shepard is lost???Word says if the blind leads the blind both will fall in a ditch...GOD BLESS
  19. Q2. (2 Corinthians 4:3-4) Since Satan has blinded people’s eyes to the truth, is there any hope for them? What strategies must we use to overcome spiritual blindness? How many people are likely to find Christ without intercessory prayer?Yes JESUS is always reaching out,King David was blind to the truth that he was wrong in his actions with Bathsheba & her husband Uriah.Insult on top of injury was that Uriah was 1 of King Davids mighty men of valor...GOD sent Nathan the prophet to help King David take the blinders off...WE ALL fall short of the GLORY of GOD,it is said that the Prodigal Son came to his senses while still in the hog pen...GOD rebukes the devil long enough for each of us to come to our senses,at that moment the choice is available repent and return to GOD or stay in the hog pen...No has the power to make anyone pray for them but we do have power over ourselves to choose JESUS over satan, balaam choose satan over GOD it cost him his SPIRIT...GOD BLESS
  20. Q1. (2 Corinthians 4:1-2) How do questionable ethics and ministry practices hurt the work of Christ? What is Paul’s alternative in verse 2b?Jesus says "that the healthy are not in need of a physician but the sick"When the non-believers who most of the time will acknowledge their sickness see believers who wear their piety doing/acting in the same sickness then they validate their reasons for not belonging to the BODY of CHRIST...To always keep TRUTH in ministry...GOD BLESS
  21. Q4. (2 Corinthians 3:18) Why is character change directly related to time deliberately spent in God’s presence? What is the theological word for the process of maturing in Christ? Have you noticed a change in the “degree of glory” you’re experiencing now compared to a few years ago? Why or why not?Because as 1 grows in CHRIST you become a"NEW"Creature-you dont walk the way you use to walk or talk the way you use to talk...Sanctification...Yes because of the trials GOD has allowed me to go through,i have grown closer to CHRIST becoming more in touch with JESUS Spirit and less with my flesh...GOD BLESS
  22. Q3. (2 Corinthians 3:18) Moses glowed by spending time with God on Mt. Sinai, in his tent of meeting, and in the Tabernacle. How can we get a similar glow of the Spirit in our lives? In what way is meditating on Scripture beholding God? Is the low plane of Christianity in our day related to the time we spend in communion with the Lord? What is God leading you to do to increase your glow?Moses PRAYED "FASTED"and drank no water for 80 days!!!Only by having a"DEEP"personal relationship with GOD could he have accomplished such a feat...If i fast for 24 hrs i am hurting(LOOOL)but that is how we can get a GLOW by having a DEEP personal relationship with GOD,JESUS will MEET us where ever we are...Gospel of John chapter 1 states that EVERYTHING was created through the WORD of GOD which is JESUS,by meditating on JESUS it is beholding to GOD...Yes because in this day and time everything must be done at microwave speed,we cant attain a DEEP personal relationship with GOD moving like this...I am being refined so that when i come out i will be as PURE GOLD!!!GOD BLESS
  23. Q2. (2 Corinthians 3:16-17) Why is the Holy Spirit essential to help people see truth clearly and be able to grasp it? What enables people to come to Christ at all? What kind of freedom does the Spirit give us when we become Christians?Because the Holy Spirit is our Advocate/Counselor,even in secular terms this would be someone that"PROTECTS"your best interest but flesh will fail i.e."The Spirit is willling but the flesh is weak"...Jesus/GOD/Holy Spirit are the WAY,TRUTH and the LIGHT...Prior to Jesus coming into this world taking on ALL our sins going to the cross and being raised 3 days later the only access we had to GOD was through the Priest...Freedom to be forgiven of our sins/receive salvation...
  24. Q1. (2 Corinthians 3:7-11) Why did Moses’ face glow? Why did he cover it when he was out with the people? Why didn’t more people’s face glow in Moses’ time? What’s the difference between the spread of God’s glory in Moses’ time when compared to our own time?GOD ask Miriam and Aaron why they spoke against Moses taking an African wife, since He speaks with Moses Face to Face and called him Friend shouldnt they be fearful in doing so???Being in the presence of"I AM"Face to Face caused Moses face to"SHINE"Moses wore the"VEIL"on his face because the people were afraid to see GODS GLORY shine on Moses, satans angles cant stand to see GODS LOVE working in your life...It is also said that we keep a veil up on our hearts when we refuse to accept JESUS CHRIST as our Lord and Savior...We are more like the Hebrews that want to be self serving and are afraid to see GOD Shining in peoples lives...The opportunity logically should be better with social media, cell phones, and the internet but technology is a 2 edge sword it can be used to Witness for JESUS or for the devil, sad to say but society chooses sin over salvation...GOD BLESS
  25. Q4. (2 Corinthians 3:6a) Why is a Christian’s spiritual health so closely related to his or her involvement in ministry? What are the consequences of dropping out of church – for the believer? For Christ’s Kingdom?JESUS says that you can tell a tree by the fruit it bears,if the tree isnt in"GOOD SPIRITUAL HEALTH"then the fruit of its ministry will not be healthy or bear none at all...JESUS says He is the Vine and we are the branches,if the branch isnt fruitfull then it dies and withers at the Vine...Time must be taken out to either prune the branch or minister to it...GOD BLESS
