  1. Q3. (Psalm 121). What reassurance is it to you that God keeps you and watches over you? How does Psalm 121 make you feel? What reassurance is it to you that God keeps you and watches over you? * I no longer feel lost! There were times in the past when I felt as if I was all alone and if I just had someone that understood what I was dealing with or going through. It seemed at times that all I could see was darkness and how would I find my way out and then other times it was as there was no one to rescue me from my own mind and emotions. This was even walking with the Lord, but once I begin to understand that He to had felt this way and that He knew what I was going through, that He was there to help out. He came to light in me as someone that would know every thing I might go through and He came to as someone that would come along side me to walk it out. He has become someone that is everything I need, and this is what reassurance is to me and I know He watches over me. How does Psalm 121 make you feel? * Again I say as above, it comforts me and secures me to know that My God watches over me and my loved ones. It comforts me to know that He watches over the world I live in and no matter how man try's to dictate and control this world, He is watching and only will man be allowed to do so much until He steps in and lines it up with His plan. He is our God who is in control.
  2. Q2. (Psalm 91) What does this psalm teach us about God's protection when in danger? What does it teach about our authority to vanquish our enemies? What promises does Psalm 91 contain? How does this psalm make you feel? What does this psalm teach us about God's protection when in danger? * I can say that every time I read or quote this Psalms that I can humbly and truly say that God is my Refuge, my Shelter, my Help, my Deliverer and so much more........ the divine supernatural power that takes over to bring my troubles under control and the peace that follows. The love I feel and the Holy Spirit sweetly and calmly speaking to me all is well, all is well because you trust Him and you know He is all you need to take care of you and the troubles have been brought you by life and by your enemies. I have learned just by reading and applying this Psalms to my life and writing it upon the table of my heart that God will watch over His word to perform and nothing shall harm me day or night. That I have felt His angels in charge of me knowing that they have obeyed Him by the divine protection that guarded me. Thank you Father, that You love me and Your eyes are always on me. That You never sleep or slumber because of me. What does it teach about our authority to vanquish our enemies? * Its states that we are to fear nothing, that He will walk with us through what ever the enemy has come against us with. * In the Message Bible it states, " We sit down in the High God's presence, spend the night in Shaddai's shadow" as we read this we can see that we are seated in heavenly place high above all our enemies and in that place we come under the shadow or wing of that authority so when we speak our voice echo's the voice of God and the enemy can't do anything but submit and loose us from their hold. What promises does Psalm 91 contain? * Safe house * Protection * Angels in charge in every area we walk in * That the enemies weapons have no power to harm us, no hidden things will surprise us * No disease will prowl through the darkness * No disaster will erupt at high noon * We will stand untouched Because of His love and protection we are in a safe house, we are in a place of rest and He is stating here through His Holy Spirit that " I Am is with you and I will never leave you, put you hope in God! How does this psalm make you feel? * Safe, its makes me feel safe! I know that I dwell in His presences, in His own house. That whatever comes my way not only is He with me, heaven is with me and that He has given ways in His word to walk through them. If I can stay in trust and peace not letting my soul take over and the enemy embark upon me then I will also hear that still small voice saying, all is well trust Me and hear Me to guide you for I Am the Light of your salvation, whom or what shall you fear. My God is a good God and I'm so grateful I have Him and I know that He loves me just as I am! No matter what state I find myself in, if I turn to Him, if I admit to Him, if I submit to Him, those loving arms will gather me up together we will come through.
  3. What images does the psalmist evoke to communicate his trust in God's protection? How do the first four verses of this psalm make you feel? What images does the psalmist evoke to communicate his trust in God's protection? * A Rock * Refuge * A High Tower * Shelter * Wings * Tent * the dwelling place of God, His house How do the first four verses of this psalm make you feel? * They make me feel loved and that in Him everything is gathered up in my life, under the wings of God nothing can harm me. He has taken my enemies and He has blocked them out of my life and the trouble they could cause me will no longer have power over me or against me. Amen!
  4. Saturday, October 06, 2007 To the Flame of Love My Love I have but come to realize that my flame my love is but a kindle Where did it begin to die out When did I walk away What was so important, that I took my eyes off of You Have I broken Your heart and have I sinned against You with betrayal Tell me, Beloved so that I may repent Tell me that once again You will take Your love and add it to this kindle like wood is added to a fire that causes it to burn in such away that heat warms the air around it and it lights up the night. If You will forgive, if You will come as a Consuming Fire than all my shame will disappear All that I have caused between us will be gone and then once again we will commune together Remember My Love on our wedding night, when we came together as one Remember how You took me in Your arms and You showed me pure love, You told me You would never leave me, nor forsake me My hope is in You, my trust is in You Come quickly My Beloved Come back to me Let's once again share together the food for my soul Let us once again walk in unity Oh my God, my Beloved I feel the warming of the kindle beginning to grow I feel the love of Your heart touching me and caressing me I know that Your loving arms are enfolding me again I fall at Your feet, I lay at Your feet as Ruth laid at the feet of Boaz I know that You are my Husbandman I know that I will never want I know that the world offers nothing for me Thank you My Love for forgiving me Thank you My Love for your passion for me To the Flame of My Love I love You, I adore You If ever You see me begin to wonder again or if ever I begin to fall asleep, please oh please burn in me brighter, let the flame of Your love touch me, let me know that You have placed a fence around our love, so that I will not open the gate and walk away again. Oh Flame of My Love Forever we shall burn an Eternal Flame together, forever My Flame, My Love Copyright
  5. (Psalm 80) If you were to formulate a personal prayer for revival for your own life or for your congregation, how would you word it? What elements should be present in a prayer for personal or congregational revival? What would this prayer have in common with 2 Chronicles 7:14? How does this kind of prayer pave the way for revival and restoration to take place? If you were to formulate a personal prayer for revival for your own life or for your congregation, how would you word it? * Father, I come submitted, humble and in faith through the name of Jesus and ask for forgiveness for myself. Father, I have come to realize that I have left my first love in such away that my life and things in my life have pushed you and your love over to a corner of my heart and in doing that the goodness that once was operating my life has left and the troubles have appeared more. I see that you have allowed things to come and things to take away, in order to get my attention to this and I thank You so much for it. You love me and I love you and together this fire will rekindle and together we will come to that place of revival. What is revival Father? Is it not when I have come back to my first love and is it not when I have come into submission, humility and in faith allowing You to have first place in my life. Is it not when Your will is leading me in the way I should go. Is it not understanding that You are my Healer, Deliverer, Supplier and my Eternal Salvation. Come quickly to the place where my fire and has but come to a kindle and add the wood that will cause the flame to become a consuming flame. I await my Beloved, I await! Revival is to revive something and when my heart has become waxed then the fire is but only a kindle. Our trouble starts when we move away from the Flame of God where the warm and love is. What elements should be present in a prayer for personal or congregational revival? * Faith, Hope and Love What would this prayer have in common with 2 Chronicles 7:14? * If my people who are called by My name will humble themselves and pray! I will hear them! When our hearts cry out in faith, hope and love and we our knees are bowed then and only then will He hear us. How does this kind of prayer pave the way for revival and restoration to take place? * It is like adding wood to a once warm, huge bright flame that you could feel heat from a good distances. Remember in standing in front of this flame that if you stand to close than you would get so hot that you had to move. Well, that's how His presence is in revival, it causes you to move as not away from Him, but for Him. This is when the works Jesus said we would do become alive again and we are fired up to work again and love again and seek Him again. It fires up our spiritual life, our walk and we cause signs and wonders to follow us. The fire of God burns for us day and night!
  6. Q4. (Psalm 40:17) In this verse David combines both humility and faith in his prayer to God. Why are both humility and faith necessary? What happens when one of these qualities is missing? In this verse David combines both humility and faith in his prayer to God. Why are both humility and faith necessary? * Humility is a state of being humble and we understand this in a spiritual sense then we understand that we must come to our God not only in a state of humility, but a state of surrender ( remember the song " I surrender all" well that's exactly how we are to approach His throne. God will not look upon pride or an attitude of as such. Love approaches with gratefulness and apperception and a willingness to wait upon the other. * Faith is the substances of things hope for and the evidences of things not seen; We must come before the Throne of Grace to receive mercy; With out faith our works are dead; We must have faith a small as a mustard seed; Faith, hope and love along with humility is the formula of God's attention. What happens when one of these qualities is missing? * God turns a deaf ear! Any one can pray but its the attitude in which they pray. Jesus said, faith will move a mountain; Humility says; there is one greater than Me and I have come to only do My Father's will. We have the only God that can interact in our lives that benfits us, other gods can only stand an appear real, the only thing that comes from them is unanswered prayer and the a way to allow the demonic behind them to steal, kill and destroy the believer in them, but the eternal way for them is death. Not just natural death, but a spiritual death. We will all live eternally one way or another, until satan, his antichrist and his demons are throw into the lake of fire and those of a natural man that have chose to not accept Jesus as their Lord and chose not to submit with humility and faith and learn to live a life of holiness will be thrown along with them. You say, how can I say this, because the bible states that, " that God is the only one that can destroy the soul" and is it not the soul that goes to heaven or hell. Is He not a merciful God and He would not leave even the hard hearted in their state of torment and denial of Him. This will be their last judgment and by then they will be ready for it. When we see Him as He really is and we have chosen to deny Him and live a life unto ourselves and the gods of this world that become only demons that had no power to save us, what greater torment could there be than seeing a loving, caring Lamb that came and die for them and they chose to know Him not. The love that will pour out towards them at that time and yet that cannot touch Him or even tell Him at that point forgive me I could have know you! We must love and turn all we can towards the Lord Jesus Christ!
  7. Q3. (Psalm 40:5b) When you realize that God's thoughts and plans are focused on you in particular, how does that make you respond? When you realize that God's thoughts and plans are focused on you in particular, how does that make you respond? * Over whelmed first, then the reality of how He loves me and then the want to draw near to Him as He draws near to me. * Then I want to submit to His love and His will for my life and go as He leads * To walk as close as I can to His will and His ways * I again understand and learn another side of Him each time I face something new. He has yet to let me down in anything or way. He has become my Way Maker
  8. Q2. (Psalm 69:30-32) Why does this lament (and nearly all laments in the Psalms) end with an upswing of hope and praise? What does this teach us about our own laments and prayers? Why is praise, the language of faith, so important in our prayers, especially prayers of desperate pleas for help? Why does this lament (and nearly all laments in the Psalms) end with an upswing of hope and praise? * David gain insight to the future and the hope for his people. That salvation was coming that would save his nation not just as king, but as a man. As revelation must of come to him of Jesus and how lost these people were and how crazy they must of thought he had become, he found comfort in the face of God and the faithfulness that would save all. How could you not end this up in praise. Is not our hope in the coming of our Lord to do the same. What does this teach us about our own laments and prayers? * As we begin to seek Him and turn our pains and the warfare over to Him, who He is begins to illuminate in our hearts and from there to our soul (our mind, will and emotions). As we continue to pray and find help and feel comfort then our prayers turn into praise. Why is praise, the language of faith, so important in our prayers, especially prayers of desperate pleas for help? * We must praise Him for His mighty power, that has or will deliver us from all enemies. ( body, soul and from the demonic side of our spiritual walk)
  9. Q1. (Psalm 69:12-18) How could David dare to ask anything from God after the shameful things he had done with Bathsheba and Uriah? How does God's grace and mercy function in the face of our sins? How could David dare to ask anything from God after the shameful things he had done with Bathsheba and Uriah? * First of all it is my opinion that Psalms 69 has nothing at all to do with David and Bathsheba. In the reading of the psalms I never got the impression that David was even in that place of asking for forgiveness again concerning his sin with Bathsheba. Now I do know that David had learned true forgiveness and it changed him greatly, but as you read below I think you can see as I did the reason for the Psalms. For example: Ps 69:5-7 5 O God, You know my foolishness; And my sins are not hidden from You. 6 Let not those who wait for You, O Lord GOD of hosts, be ashamed because of me; Let not those who seek You be confounded because of me, O God of Israel. 7 Because for Your sake I have borne reproach; Shame has covered my face David is praying and asking God deliver him from the reproach he has received because of Him. What David is faced with and suffering from is a Religion mind set of many people. Read the Psalms again and see that he is under reproach because of the way he worship, he speaks, he lives and he loves. And if you want to take it farther, place his words and prayers at the cross and you will see Jesus and the words that He spoke and the words of the prophets such as Jeremiah. I believe that God taught David by the scriptures and his suffering such as this to teach him who the coming Messiah would be, the King that would be coming from another kingdom. It has proven out, that it is by trial and tribulations we get revelations of who Jesus truly is and in some spheres we walk in their conception of God is different, that when the real face of God shows up it angers them, threatens them and convicts them. This is why prosecutions comes not because we serve a true living spirit-filled walk with Him, but because they like their own made up ones and they choose to denied their own hearts and convictions which in turn they are refusing Him and hating ones like David. ( Jesus, you and I) How does God's grace and mercy function in the face of our sins? * Tenderly, lovingly and forgiving, provided we truly face Him face to face and admit our sin. Remember, He is just and faithful to forgive our sins. * He sheds abroad His love in our hearts and to feel that forgiving love is awesome, especially when you thought you have done the worst one yet and it takes you time to go to the Throne of Grace to receive that mercy. Our God is a good and merciful living and loving God and can we praise for His goodness, may we always keep ourselves in the place of looking at Him face to face.
  10. Exercise. For one of the psalms in this lesson -- or another psalm with a similar theme -- do one of the suggested exercises to help you experience the Psalms (www.jesuswalk.com/psalms/psalms-exercises.htm). These include such things as praying a psalm, meditating, reading to a shut-in, paraphrasing, writing your own psalm, singing, preparing a liturgy, and memorizing. Then report to the forum what the exercise meant to you personally or share what you've written with others. A new Psalms from my heart: My God, My Deliverer I remember Oh God, how you delivered me out of my bondage How you destroyed my enemies that ruled and reined over me How you brought me out from the land of the dead into the land of the living That once I was blind, but because of Your loving kindness towards me now I can see I understand now My God what a loving Father you are How you have gathered me from the ends of the earth Set my feet on solid rock and no more am I in a sinking sand Help me Holy Spirit of God to keep in remembrance in all He has done To always give Him praise and honor and glory Help me be a living example of Him towards others My Lord and My Judge; You are my righteousness and You are the keeper of my soul It is only You I live for and it is only you I see as My Ruler It is only in You I find forgiveness and worthiness and pureness I know that I do not have to fear judgement as long as I praise you, live for you and never condemn You and find fault with Your ways. That it is at the throne of grace that I know I am free from unrighteous things and I see the hand of You on my life Thank you, Oh God for loving and caring Thank you, Oh God for the tenderness of Your hands and for the cloud by day that guides me and for the fire at night letting me know that You are there even in the darkest of times of life. Oh God, My God, You are the Light of my Salvation and whom or what shall I fear! Copyright
  11. Q3. (Psalm 98) What are the reasons given for praise in Psalm 98? Why do you think praise is so exuberant in this psalm? How exuberant is praise in your congregation, in your life? Why or why not is it exuberant? What are the reasons given for praise in Psalm 98? * He is our salvation, our righteousness and our deliver. * He is coming as a judge to free the world of evil and bringing righteousness Why do you think praise is so exuberant in this psalm? * To show the important's of it and to show how righteous He is and that He rules above all things and that He is coming in all His glory to bring all things under His submission How exuberant is praise in your congregation, in your life? * Very important! I have learned in this lesson already how it much be as in unity with one another and how important it is in my life. I have seen that had they looked to Him with a continual heart of praise and had remembered how He brought them out of the greatest captivity of their lives and out of the most powerfully kingdom on earth at that time, had they continued to trust Him, believe Him and praised Him for all they had seen and been through, had they done this they would have seen their promise land. What a lesson to learn! Always say: " What a Mighty God we serve" Why or why not is it exuberant? * If we read this with the way the writer intended it to be read we will see why he continues to point out how important it is to exuberant all that he has. Why: * We must always give God the honor and glory He deserve * We must never focus on where we've been, but where God is taking us * We must see His hand as a loving and giving hand, not as a task master who strikes with a whip or a stone and crying why has our God done this to us when we have seen His hand defeat the most powerful enemies we have. ** We must always see the hands of God as good, loving and giving us the goodness of Himself as a Shepard and not a wolf.
  12. Q2. (Psalm 95) In Psalm 95 we are commanded to worship the Lord. What are the reasons why we should worship contained in this psalm? Why do you think the warning in verses 8-11 is included in this psalm? How does this fit with the earlier elements of the psalm? In Psalm 95 we are commanded to worship the Lord. What are the reasons why we should worship contained in this psalm? * We worship, we bow down, because we recognize both God's ownership of us and his responsibility to care for us. Why do you think the warning in verses 8-11 is included in this psalm? * Because it is to God's glory that we live. To see His power and deliverance in our lives. * We must always stay focused on Him and His love towards us and to see Him as He really is. * We are warned to never to give honor or thought to the best of our past, but to remember and praise Him for bringing us out. * The glory belongs to Him and Him only and if we fail to do that then we glory in our slavery or captivity. How does this fit with the earlier elements of the psalm? * All in this Psalms we are urged to worship, to create a heart of worship so that there is a continual praise in our mouths and hearts. We must have an inward praise so that an outward express is seen as to the way we live our lives in glorifying Him and always praise Him for supplying our needs and telling of how He delivered us out of our slavery and captivity. That He is our God and His is all powerful and that we have what we have only because of Him. We only live because of Him. If we are praising Him with a true inward life than we are at peace with and He with us. If not and we show Him to be a unloving and unfair judge than we have made Him no matter than the others gods of this world. Warning here is: Never dishonor our Heavenly Father, by whining or complaining. Never stop praising Him for what you have or don't have for you make Him lower than the angels and make Him a weak God. Never put Him in the class of the others gods of this world for they can do nothing for their hearts are as stone. This why Paul found himself content in all things and places of His life. He understood to never touch His glory and to all ways praise Him for whatever place you find yourself and what ever you have in your hand. We see here to never stop the praise towards Him and all that He has done and all He has given.
  13. Q1. (Psalm 150) What does this psalm teach us about praise? Where should praise occur? With what should praise be conducted? Who should praise? What does this psalm make you feel like after reading it out loud? What does this psalm teach us about praise? * How important it is to not only us, but how important it is to God. We know that God inhabits the praises of His people and all creation has sounds of praise. There must be a continual sound of praise rising up from earth. He has made it to where there is always a sound of praise glorifying Him and as Jesus stated, "even the very stones will cry out in even if man doesn't. " MULTITUDE- hamon refers to a group of people : In the Vine this word harmon means multitude and these Psalms teach us to praise as a body of people in unity as one with Christ making sounds towards heaven, this is sounds of thankfulness for His power and His glory upon earth. The most important thing we can do is not only thank Him but praise Him everyday and every night. Where should praise occur? * Where ever we are and in whatever we do. With what should praise be conducted? * Our hearts, our mouth, the works of our hands and the path of our feet. What does this psalm make you feel like after reading it out loud? * After reading it, saying it, studying it and gaining a deeper understanding of it, I see that we must praise Him everyday and night for it is to the glory of the Son and the power of His might that has brought our redemption along with our eternal life, and that His is our King of Kings and our Lord of Lords. That we have submitted to His rule and rein among the places in our lives and on this earth.

These include such things as praying a psalm, meditating, reading to a shut-in, paraphrasing, writing your own psalm, singing, preparing a liturgy, and memorizing. Then report to the forum what the exercise meant to you personally or share what you've written with others. My own Psalms; Oh God my hiding place. I'm thirsty for God-alive. " Jesus it is You that is spoken here, for You are alive! I dwell among men and I dwell among riches, but oh God You are the one with whom I want to dwell and You are better than silver or gold I will spent my days waiting for You my Beloved Dressing for You Preparing a table for You and serving You from the basket of my fruit I love You oh God, I love You Copyright
  16. Q3. (Psalm 133) What about this short psalm seems to attract you? Why is "dwelling together in unity" so difficult? What kinds of commitments does unity require of us? How do the principles of unity and purity seem to conflict with each other? Why are reconciliation and unity such high values in Jesus' teaching, do you think? What about this short psalm seems to attract you? * I feel the heart of not only the Psalmist here, but I feel the heart of the Holy Spirit that comes from our Father in Heaven and also the passion and compassion Jesus has for mankind. * I see the 3- God Head here in speaking, feeling and urging us to love one another as They do and have loved us. * The oil here is the representation of the Holy Spirit and how God has poured out His anointing upon us. The mountain represents to us the place of God's dwelling, the beard represents the age of mankind and how God has love us though the ages of time and how though the ages of these times He has talked and tried to teach man to love one another. "How good it is that man dwell in peace with one another." Why is "dwelling together in unity" so difficult? * The main reason is lack of love for one another * The want to rule over others ( main reason for wars among all nations) * No humility and selfishness ( wanting one's own way) * Greed is a common thing among people * Pride is also a common factor of the flesh (Gal: 5) Look at Cain and Abel: Anger, Jealousy, Strife, and the want to conquer and rule a nation. Each one of us represents a nation of people and if someone like Cain rules and reins over us along with the God in us then there is always the risk of murder in their hearts. * Witchcraft, idolatry, the list can go on and on here, this is why man has a problem with unity. " out of a man's heart flows the issues of life. It's not hard to look at the person or nation in which your live to see and know why you can't dwell among them in unity. Lack of love for you, the want to control you and to take what you have. Think here about the 10 commandments and line them up against love and humility. This tells a story doesn't it. This is why man today dose not want them in sight. They tell of their lives and how they live. What kinds of commitments does unity require of us? * Jesus said, " to lay ones life down for another" * Jesus said, " to love one another as I have loved you" Wow, I just typed that and the answer is just what Jesus commanded us to do. The two commandments He taught that would fulfill the first 10. How do the principles of unity and purity seem to conflict with each other? * Well, in thinking of these two things the only answer I can arrive at is: Conflict comes due to differences of opinions, mind sets, life styles, unwillingness to change * The word keeps coming in my spirit; "diversity" let's look at this word and its meaning and see what God is wanting us to understand at this moment. Well the word diversity lead us to the variety.... Main Entry: va
  17. Q2. (Psalm 15) The Wisdom Psalms are meant to instruct us. How would you use this psalm in your family to instruct your children? What topics of right living does it cover? 1) The Wisdom Psalms are meant to instruct us. How would you use this psalm in your family to instruct your children? * To teach them: How important it is to dwell with the Lord in His House which is His covering over them and their place of prayer and worship. * That as they grow in the Lord and in their daily life and as years go by to also dwell with Him in an attitude of prayer and worship * That when they lack wisdom, seek it by prayer and be the word such as the Wisdom Psalms. There is always an answer from God, His words and ways. * To always walk in love and to keep their word. * Be honest and up front in what ever do * Represent the Lord in all their ways and by their example many will see that the wisdom of God is what makes a man strong, smart and endure all things. * It's strength in a person that will catch the eye of a man, like Samson * That in studying the word of God they will learn that out of the heart a man speaks and that the issues of life flow's from the heart as well * To be Blameless, Righteous, and Truthful * To be stable in all their ways and this comes from living in His dwelling place * Their main goal in life, is to live an eternal life with God There is so much to tell and say to all you who come in contact with this list it could go on and on. I have truly found for my own life to apply His wisdom and truth to my daily walk and to reach that high calling in Christ Jesus. Heaven is my goal and He is my prize! 2) What topics of right living does it cover? * Moral Integrity * Blameless" (NIV, NRSV), "uprightly" (KJV) is tāmīm, from the verb tāmam, which carries the fundamental idea of completeness. Our word is used of animal sacrifices that are without blemish, as well as moral integrity, "whole, upright, perfect." "Righteous" (NIV, KJV) or "right" (NRSV) is ṣedeq, from a root that basically connotes conformity to an ethical or moral standard. "Truth" (
  18. Q1. (Psalm 1). This short psalm seems to reaffirm what we already know: the righteous will succeed and the wicked will perish. Why do we need to be reminded of this? From an emotional standpoint, what lines in this psalm stand out to you. Why do you think you like them? 1) This short psalm seems to reaffirm what we already know: the righteous will succeed and the wicked will perish. Why do we need to be reminded of this? * In my case, I have come to realize that in everyday life I face many different issues and many different people with different many sets and in dealing with all I have trained myself to base my first responds to the word of God for my conduct and what I need to flow from that. We know that God's word in Proverbs tell us, "out of the heart, so a man speaks" and so if my heart is not plowed in the right soil and watered with the word of God and if the character of God is not first to flow through, then I have found that unrighteous wrong words can flow to ill advise or to offend someone. * When storms of life come and we are not planted as a tree then we can be uprooted and blow down. But, if we are rooted and grounded in the word growing and responding from righteous living, His word tells us again, " that through a righteous shall fall seven times, he will arise and I want to add forgiven due to the fact that he has made his heart a repented heart." 2) From an emotional standpoint, what lines in this psalm stand out to you. Why do you think you like them? * I like to think of myself as a planted tree not only in word or deed, but to know that I have planted myself in my Father's house and in His kingdom. * I treasure the fact that the "Lord knows and is fully acquainted with the way of the righteous." and I pray that He will always be able to count upon me to live, love and respond to His way of living for out of His life flows the living water of life and in that water there is healing not only for me, but for others, If I live my life righteous and holy and acceptable to Him then I will lead others to do so and in doing this then" God will always be acquainted with right part of me!
  19. Ps. 42 1-3 A white-tailed deer drinks from the creek; I want to drink God, deep draughts of God. I'm thirsty for God-alive. I wonder, "Will I ever make it
  20. Q3. (Psalm 63) Why is recognition that God loves you the basis of all faith? What does this realization bring about in your life? 1) Why is recognition that God loves you the basis of all faith? * We have to look at the word recognition;" the action of recognizing : the state of being recognized: as a : ACKNOWLEDGMENT ; especially : formal acknowledgment of the political existence of a government or nation b : knowledge or feeling that someone or something present has been encountered before 2 : special notice or attention" I like the way it says "the state of being recognized". This says to me that when I was born again and Jesus came to live in my heart that the condition I was once in has changed and that I am in Him and He is in me and that my Heavenly Father recognizes me and that I am living in the kingdom life of heaven. He acknowledges me, His mind is always upon me and I am encountering special attention from Him. So, with this understanding and knowledge I know that He loves me! With this love I can trust Him, lean on Him, walk with Him and wage and win wars along side Him. I know that the Holy Spirit is here to comfort me, teach me and help me accomplish what ever I need to accomplish even if its winning over my own human parts of myself. This is how I have learned to build my faith and that God is love and is the foundation of which is basis of faith for me. 2) What does this realization bring about in your life? * The act of realizing that I must first go to Him and His word, because He has the answer, the wisdom, knowledge I need to solve what ever I have need of. * I have to stay my mind upon Him as quick as I can in order to get " heavenly minded" and to see and know His love, His thoughts and His ways for me. * I must realize that His eyes are always upon me and that I never leave His heart nor His presences. That I am forever recognized by Him and I must learned to understand that He is good and that nothing but good comes from Him. That He never takes away to make me suffer or lack, that I have an enemy to deal with while on earth and that I must separate this out before coming to Him in prayer. If I do not learn to do this as David had to learn, then I am apt to accuse and get offended at the one who will always love me and never forsake me!
  21. Q2. (Psalms 42-43). What is the psalmist feeling during this spiritual struggle? How does he combat his spiritual depression? Have you ever felt this way? How did you reach out to God at this time? 1) What is the psalmist feeling during this spiritual struggle? * David is feeling sadness and depression is trying to set in and with this comes a feeling of rejection from God and from man. The soul of a human try's to take control of the mind, the will and emotions and if it can succeed to do so and get's hopeless then the enemy to our soul is let in and only negative things are seen and heard with us. It will rule and rein our thoughts, our words, and our lives. * It is very important for all of us to realize that we are the temple of the Holy Ghost and that God dwells among us at all times and that our trust must not be put into a building as it seem the natural man of David has tried to do. Yes, we have great moments at the church or temple with the people of God and we have seen great things in the mist of all of this, but when we can not get there and no one can or will come to us in trying times, we must strengthen our spirit man within and cause it to overcome our soulish realm and stop the enemy from coming into rule and rein over us with our wrong thinking and saying. We stop or change wrong feelings or thinking that set up wrong minds sets that lead away from God and His promises. 2) How does he combat his spiritual depression? * David wars against his own soul (mind, will, and emotions) and he has learned how much God loves him and how he trusts Him. He remembers all the times victory came because he stay his mind on the word of God and how it brings joy to remember all God has done in the past for him. Worship, praise and remembrance of the good things of God will cause us to over come and bring hope to what appears to be a hopeless situation. 3) Have you ever felt this way? * Oh yea, many many times! And there where times it took sometime for me to pull myself out of it. I had to learn as David had. It takes time to learn the weapons of warfare against our soulish realm and against the enemy. It takes time to learn to turn from the negative words of our soul and others. There always seems to ones like Job's friends that show up and want to blame you for what's wrong........ 4) How did you reach out to God at this time? * I have learned to turn to worship and to praise as soon as I can. I have learned to keep my heart and mind stayed upon God. I have learned to put my trust in Him the lifter of my faith. I have learned to call ones I can trust, who know how to pray and agree with me and who will encourage me. I allow no negative thoughts from my self inner person as well from others or the devil. * We have to remember our weapons are not carnal, our weapons are for pulling down strongholds. Strongholds are build from life styles and wrong mind sets. We must break them in our lives and the way to do this is to learn the word, live in the word and stand on the word. We must again worship, praise and trust. Remember always in Ps. 18:34 " He teaches our hands to war'
  22. Q1. (Psalm 24) What does it mean that David desires to "dwell in the house of the Lord"? What does it mean to "seek his face"? How does David provide hope at the end of this Psalm? 1) What does it mean that David desires to "dwell in the house of the Lord"? * David found the place out of all the riches, the fame, and the power he held over a kingdom, the one place he could open his heart in, to worship alone in and to know that when he needed wisdom it was in the house of the Lord. He desired to always be in His presence and he had learned that the " house of the Lord was a safe place and that he knew that it was were he wanted to be all the days of his life. * My mother went to be in the house of Lord yesterday morning and as she went I took her by the hand lead her to the gates of this wonderful dwelling place and as she approached she lifted up her arm reached out and took the hand of Jesus, the Lifter of her faith and in she went into the house of the Lord where it is her safe place and her dwelling place for eternity and to the mansion Jesus had ready for her. I love her very much and I will miss her very much but I know that I can look into my heart, the place I have built that surrounds the safe place, dwelling place where Jesus lives and I can see her there and we can still love on one another and I know that she is waiting for me now and heaven doesn't seem to be so far away now and its as if I can see a stair case to heaven now and I know that anytime I can go up those stairs and be in that place of my Father's house. Her children have risen and called her Blessed! 2) What does it mean to "seek his face"? * To inquire of, to beg, to stand in the place of holiness that we might find His will for us and to see His face is to find favor in His sight. * To find that place in worship where He comes to commune with us, to love on one another in a way only a true living God can. A place where only He can touch and love us and teach us this way to love Him and to go from that place and share that love with others. He favors us and we favor others with the same face to face love His has just given to us. * To seek His face teaches us true relationship with Him and with others. It opens our hearts in a way that no other relationship can. * Trust, to seek His face teaches to trust. To trust Him and to trust others. 3) How does David provide hope at the end of this Psalm? Ps 27:14 * Wait on the LORD; (OT:6960- look, patiently, tarry, wait (for, on, upon). * Be of good courage, (OT:2388- aid, amend, X calker, catch, cleave, confirm, be constant, constrain, continue, be of good (take) courage (-ous, -ly), encourage (self), be established, fasten, force, fortify, make hard, harden, help, (lay) hold (fast), lean, maintain, play the man, mend, become (wax) mighty, prevail, be recovered, repair, retain, seize, be (wax) sore, strengthen (self), be stout, be (make, shew, wax) strong (-er), be sure, take (hold), be urgent, behaveself valiantly, withstand. * And He shall strengthen your heart; (OT:553- confirm, be courageous (of good courage, stedfastly minded, strong, stronger), establish, fortify, harden, increase, prevail, strengthen (self), make strong (obstinate, speed). *Wait, I say, on the LORD! (OT:6960- look, patiently, tarry, wait (for, on, upon). So we must always follow David's wisdom here with these understanding displayed here and let us all always refer back to this Psalms as David had see that one day is better in His courts than a thousand days in our own.
  23. Q3. (Psalm 139). In what way does the wonder of creation in the psalm seem to affect the psalmist? In his concluding prayer in verses 23-24, what does he ask God to do? 1) In what way does the wonder of creation in the psalm seem to affect the psalmist? * David is sure that God perfectly knows him in all his ways. Ps 33:14-15 14 From the place of His dwelling He looks On all the inhabitants of the earth; 15 He fashions their hearts individually; He considers all their works. At this time in David's life, he is so in awe of all God's glory in his life and that he has made David king over the nation of people that have become the apple of God's eyes, he knows and has learned that God searches the inner most deep parts of a man's soul and that nothing can hide from the Creator of that man. Prov 25:3 3 As the heavens for height and the earth for depth, So the heart of kings is unsearchable. David understands the omnipresence of his God, Creator of heaven and earth, He understands that God has saved for Himself places that no man nor demons can keep Him out of and that in these places God sees all and knows all and that He keeps a faithful and loving watch over those He loves. David learns that His God is so divine that even if he goes to heaven He is there, but what is more meaningful is that if he goes to hell, still His God is there. This proves to David the authority and the power that His God holds in all creation. That He rules and reins not only over the universe but over the soul of mankind. Man may have control over the way he lives his life, but God has control over the soul and where it will spend eternity. Ps 73:25-26 25 Whom have I in heaven but You? And there is none upon earth that I desire besides You. 26 My flesh and my heart fail; But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Rev 14:10-11 10 he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. 2) In his concluding prayer in verses 23-24, what does he ask God to do? * To search him and know his ways. David understands that God is omniscience which means God's superior knowledge and wisdom, His power to know all things. God is the Lord who knows our thoughts from afar. He is acquainted with all our ways, knowing our words even before they are on our tongues. * David has asked God in the psalms below: Ps 17:3 You have tested my heart; You have visited me in the night; You have tried me and have found nothing; I have purposed that my mouth shall not transgress. In this Ps 139, David is confronting himself again to gain control of his whole man which is his three part self (the spirit, the soul and the body) and he is turning his soul over to the Lord and he is getting into the place of worship again as he has so many times before as we can read in the psalms of his life and as King of Israel he is bringing his body and soul under subjection and trusting His Savior enough to keep watch over it and to help him always to remember that place of refugee. I feel that David may of been in a trial or had let sin slip in, but he has learned that to hid sin or to work a trial out on his own is pride and he had learned within his past mistakes that pride comes before a fall. Prov 29:23 23 A man's pride will bring him low, But the humble in spirit will retain honor. We must maintain and retain humility and honor before God. We must never forget as David understood that our Creator, our Heavenly Father, Our Savior and Advocate is: OMNIPRESENCE [om nih PRES ence] -- a theological term that refers to the unlimited nature of God or His ability to be everywhere at all times. OMNISCIENCE [om NISH unce] -- a theological term that refers to God's superior knowledge and wisdom, His power to know all things. God is the Lord who knows our thoughts from afar. OMNIPOTENCE [om NIP oh tunce] -- a theological term that refers to the all-encompassing power of God. The almighty God expects human beings to obey Him, and He holds them responsible for their thoughts and actions. Nevertheless, He is the all-powerful Lord who has created all things and sustains them by the Word of His power Scripture to reflect upon after David lived out his life in the presence of our Lord and his words sharing with us the meditations of his heart that have brought us farther in our walks of life just has it had this prophet in his day; Jer 23:24 Can anyone hide himself in secret places, So I shall not see him?" says the LORD; "Do I not fill heaven and earth?" says the LORD. Jer 29:11-12 11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. How great would it be for our psalms in our lives and the meditations of our hearts to be written in the word of God like the Holy Spirit has caused it to be for David!
  24. I can truly say that most everyday I live in a psalms, I quote a psalms, sing a psalms and I stand on the psalms many times. Right now, I am standing on Ps 23 and how He leads us, walks with us, prepares a table in the presence of our enemy. That He is taking us from death to life and He is showing us His loving kindness and how His goodness and mercy shall follow us all the days of our lives and we shall see Him in all His glory not just in heaven but here on earth. Many times I use a psalms to minister to someone with and teach them to live by the written word in the psalms. Ps 119 is one to meditate upon and to write on the tables of our hearts. This is for all that read my answer here and my wisdom to you. Just as we are ask to do in this exercise. Teach and preach the word night and day and to tell how important it is to, "Love The Lord with all your Heart, Mind and Soul. To Live By His word all the days of your life and you shall in His house forever.
  25. Q2. (Psalm 19) Verses 1 to 6 seem very different from verses 7 to 13, but there is a common thread that relates the first part to the second part. What is it? In what way does the psalmist seem to bask in God's Word? Have you ever felt that way? How does the psalmist's wonder in creation seem to affect him in this psalm? In the classic prayer of verse 14, what is David asking God to do? 1) Verses 1 to 6 seem very different from verses 7 to 13, but there is a common thread that relates the first part to the second part. What is it? * That David could see the glory of God painted across the heavens and the creation of the earth. * David began to discern the voice of God in the heavens and through the written word ( to him the torah and to us the whole bible) * The most powerful thing man can learn as he begins his true walk with God is His voice and His heart towards mankind in His laws as David reveals in these two groups. * Lessons to learn here are from Gen. 1- 4.This would have been the starting point for David as he laid at night meditating on the torah and Genesis at the creation of his world and ours to come. Then to recall the sin of the garden the results of God's commandments being broken and the discipline of the laws set in motion by the voice of God. David's meditation teaches to reflect upon the glory of God and His governing over His creation and His creation of mankind and the love God has for us.( Who am I that you are mindful of me and that you hear me when I call, its amazing that you love me and I am a friend of God's) 2) In what way does the psalmist seem to bask in God's Word? * By meditating on His word and seeing how God is loving, forgiving, yet true to Himself in discipline * That the word of God searches the heart of man and no hidden things can stay hidden * David saw that he was in a place of God's dwelling and how God's love protected him the times of battle (in killing a bear and a loin) * David learned how placement of things, times and man were important to God 3) Have you ever felt that way? * Everyday, everyday I live in His glory and everyday I bask in His word and in both I see as David saw and I know as David knew, that God is Great and Greatly to be Praised. 4) How does the psalmist's wonder in creation seem to affect him in this psalm? * David learned to love God with all his heart and with all his soul. * David learned that there is a separation of the soul, the body and the spirit of man and that the spirit is where God dwells and speaks to the inner man. God taught him all of the skills he would ever need in fields of Israel where he would soon rule as king. In this I believe is where he saw the future King to come to rule a kingdom that would rule eternity and mankind. This is where he saw he would rule and reign along side him forever. 5) In the classic prayer of verse 14, what is David asking God to do? * Here again we see David looking at the three fold parts of man and he is asking God to help him be pleasing in His sight. Let nothing keep him from His presence. Let there be truth in way of living and judging towards himself and others to come. In all of this psalms David is preparing for a future, a future he could see in the stars and read in the torah.
