Head over everything? Church's Power? I see this as meaning The BODY... the body of CHRIST... being the CHURCH. We as a body of Christ have the POWER and if God is the King/Ruler over the Body; Head, mind, Wisdom, Knowledge, Understanding... then all power belongeth to the Body. We; as of the world take this to mean the Church as a Religious Organization... a King to which we allow to Rule over us... the World. The World and it's Religious Organization has nothing to do with the true Church... the Body... Christ. You will always know who is Ruler/King over your body and the world will know who you serve. What Significance? I can only say: Jesus told us that all which belongs to the Father belongs to Him... and all that belongs to Him belongs to those who He dwells in. He abideth in me and I abideth in Him... therefore all to which belongeth to the Father belongeth to me also. For it is never by our own strength, it is always of His. Victoriously.

Without Christ we Understand based upon what we Know (knowledge) by the World's Standards; by what we have been conformed to. With Christ (slowly) we are given the ability to Understand God's word through His Knowledge, Wisdom. Sometimes that Understanding comes by way of Head Knowledge and other times it can only come by way of Experiencing the Word for yourself for you to Completely Understand it (in Heart). I believe Paul was requesting of God to Open their Hearts to Receive Understanding of the Word brought forth. We can hear the word in our ear, transfer it to our brain and say yes we understand, but unless it penetrates our Heart we don't always GET THE MESSAGE; this is because we are trying to understand God's Word with our own understanding, our own knowledge. Understanding the message in the Pure Form of God's Word can only come from Him. Our eyes see as the Flesh sees... spiritual eyes do not count on what they always see Outwardly; they see past it. Spiritual eyes are watchful, perceptive, seeing even in the smaller things; so small that blinking may have caused you to miss it. I am joyful to know God has eyes to see me in His Vision as what I am to be, not as I am, but more like I AM. Praise Jesus! The Miracle came into being: Vision; seeing, Faith; believing, Spoken; action. Paul could see (spiritually) the dead man live, believed he could live, spoke the word of God to which caused the man to live. But it was made possible by God working in and through Paul.

Ya know I had to really go back and rethink that question about Reigning with Christ. Certainly we may not FEEL like it. Certainly it may not SEEM like it. But who says it is all about what the Flesh Feels or Sees. We are talking about Jesus here, reigning in OUR LIVES... on earth just as in Heaven. If He does not REIGN ON EARTH in your LIFE now, you won't be in the KINGDOM while He is REIGNING. He has to REIGN in your life on earth as He will in Heaven. Thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven. Christ Reigns... has Reigned, and will Forever Reign. This is why the Word says... God is in Control. If He is in control of your life now while on earth... He is in Reigning. But one day... We will ALL be Reigning with Him together in the New Kingdom. Rejoice, Rejoice!!! Love you gals and guys... Hey Juanita... good job. I really liked what was written. I would like to believe we Reign with Christ now, but this sure does not feel like we are. So therefore without scripture to input... I am believing we are not until He comes. As far the first part of the question: Priests? a priest if doing what he should be doing is to Follow the Laws of God... then we as being Priests should be doing this also. A Priest shows himself to the world of the Godly things to which he is blessed; like revealing the word he is taught, charity given unto people, being humble, sacrifices of the flesh, communion with God... much prayer and witnessing. Hey guys that makes anyone who is a believer in Jesus/God and whomever will do these things a Priest!!! Jesus makes this possible... so therefore He is in us by His word, by the Holy Spirit... but the Reigning will come. Hallelujah... and Amen. I just can't wait but I have to.

Even before I rededicated my life to Christ, I used to love to read the verse to which speaks of only one Worthy to open the Book Sealed... Revelation Because of such Worth I thought it impossible to get close to such a God because I could never be found so true in heart. God truly understood how I viewed Him, and opened my eyes to see that no one, absolutely no one is Worthy, but His Firey, Passionate Love for us desired a Close Encounter of the Love kind. NO ONE PROOVES TO BE WORTHY, NO ONE MORE THAN JESUS! In His continuing proving of Himself... He knew that He himself had to Talk the Talk, Walk the Walk, and finally take to the Cross to which again proved VICTORY. Suffered, Died, Overcame, Went to hell and back for me, for you. He thought of us Before the Cross, while on the Cross, and He thinks of us Now. To think this God, my God, desires to be everyone's God... would Invision it all and He knew His Worth from the begining... and He wants to share that with us. He came to me first and took me by my heart and led me to my knees and there I am at His feet growing in Relationship with God. And when I stand... I REJOICE, My King!

IMPORTANT TO FORGIVE BEFORE PARTAKING OF THE LORD'S SUPPER... He that forgives is forgiven. He that has a hard time forgiving, need be prayerfully considering Forgiveness. Pray fervently for the individual who you have a hard time forgiving. Bless those who curse you. It is hard not to forgive one who you pray so fervently for... eventually an understanding to which only God can show you will take place in your heart and healing will allow you to forgive wholeheartedly. Trust not your own heart, seek God and ask Him to reveal to you what has not been forgiven. Partake of the Lord's Supper knowing and understanding it's thorough meaning. I was ignorant of His word while as a babe, but because I know now... I am held responsible while partaking of Him. Love in Christ, Sunshine.

SORROWFUL FOR THE WAY HE WAS SLAIN. SORROWFUL FOR THE WAY HIS FOLLOWERS ARE SLAIN; SLANDERED, MOCKED, THREATENED, SPIT UPON, BEATEN, TORTURED; PERSECUTED. aND THEN I REMEMBER... IT WAS NOT THEY WHOSE ENEMIES WOULD COME AGAINST... IT WAS HE. HE STILL ENDURES HIS ENEMIES COMING AGAINST HIM... YET HE IS WILLING TO FORGIVE. HE GOES THROUGH IT WITH YOU. JOYFUL... I REJOICE IN HIM FOR HE DESIRES THAT NONE SHOULD PERISH. jOYFUL TO KNOW HE DESIRES TO SHARE IT ALL WITH EVERYONE WHO WILL BELIEVE ON HIM. HOW JOYFUL TO KNOW HE WOULD DESIRE FOR US TO PARTAKE WITH HIM ALL OF WHAT HE HAS BEEN OFFERED BY HIS FATHER.

I believe our Last Supper/Passover meal will be forever being fed by the Shepherd who has invited us to Join Him in His Home. Each time this is our invitation to partake in Remembering, but we will never have to call it to rememberance... and we will never be able to forget. Thank you Jesus. Mindy... I believe you said it ... the Angel of Death is passed over for invitation... this made me smile. Omie... I loved what you said about Singing. We will sound beautiful to God's ears.

What my heart tells me: Lamb: Jesus as sacrificial (God, Father made manifest in Flesh... choice of least, harmless) Standing after Slain: Death Overcome, Risen, Redemption, Proven Horns: Strength, Power, Might, Worthy 7 (seven)... Seven Spirits of God... eyes... candles... lights... All seeing... All knowing: Glory in all His perfection. Hallelujah! Amen.

Happy to read what everyone wrote... good reading. Been ill... but it is ok to take a break and just read. I only know that I am rejoicing for whomever God chose to be the Lineage of Jesus... As a Lion He shows much Strength and with His word consuming the Flesh... as a Lamb He is Meek and Humble and in Sacrifice gave His Best. I pray that we should also be as He: as a Lion with much Wisdom and Boldness and as a Lamb: Gentle with eyes on the Shepherd. Keep Posting.

The first was relative to rememberance... and became a ritual. The second was revelative to rememberance and also became a ritual. I read what RETIRE wrote and I agree with his statement. And I love the way Mike gave a lesson. Wow! We are to be reminded of what God did for them then and what He did for us on the cross... but in our rememberance it is never to be taken lightly. Jesus did not do it out of habit; we should not either. Whether a whole days preparation for a meal, or sacrifices offered, or eating a wafer and drinking juice... prepare your heart... make ready for partaking in such a Priveledge Given. And Remember why we partake. Believing (Faith), Repentence, Obedience, Discipline... and to give God the Glory for He hath remembered us. Thank You Jesus for such love. Sunshine

Isn't it wonderful that even though the Israelites went through the troubled times of their day (just as we also go through the troubled times of today)... God makes a way. An Angel was sent out... A Plague was released... and the Angel passed by those whose doors had been marked by FAITH. The blood covering the door post... symbolic of His precious blood which covers us today. So when the Plagues are released upon the earth Remember... for those covered by the blood of the Precious Lamb of God the Angel will pass over us also. God says He is a Shield to us... He surrounds us with His Hedge... could this be the Blood? They who were told Believed and Acted upon what was told to them. Believe in His Blood... for truly there is power in His Blood. Amen.

I read what scriptures everyone posted and though many scriptures could sum up Isaiah 53 I must admit this scripture Sums up it up beautifully. I fell at His feet... He touched me... Do not be AFRAID... I AM the FIRST and LAST... The LIVING ONE; whom was DEAD... AND BEHOLD... BEHOLD!!! I LIVE FOREVERMORE... AND IN MY HANDS I POSSESS THE KEYS TO HADES; TO OVERCOME DEATH FOR ALL WHO BELIEVE. (my wording) For now can you see, He abideth in me... for His GGG lllllllll oooooo rrrrrrr yyyyy!!!! I can just hear the sound of Rejoicing in His Heart. Fear Not Me... Nor Death. Hallelujah!!! Revelation 1:17-18 When I saw Him, I fell at His feet like a dead man. And He placed His right hand on me, saying, "Do not be afraid; I am the first and the last, and the living One; and I was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of death and of Hades."

Sin = Death = Damnation = without God = Eternity of Torment. Having God's Spirit in me, through me, all circumferenced about me is the only reason I LIVE. In the Flesh we believe we are living and to the fullest... yet God shows us Death is not only imminent, but Forever... a tormenting death forever. Death to the Flesh now, while in Christ brings such Liberty (Freedom) in Him. His death in sacrifice on the Cross gave to me a Liberty in Him I would never know otherwise. Victorious over Death = Sin = Damnation = Without God = Eternity of Torment. Each time I have communion with God... I chew slowly the bread to which I eat... reminding me of the Body of Christ Crushed and Broken... I allow the wine/juice to sit on my tongue and think about His blood flowing out and over Him. Such Cleansing. And each time I remember how He saved my soul... gave to me Life Eternal... and know that anything I endure on Earth is never Equal to What He Endures for US. Oh, what Glory. I like to read what everyone writes (in their own words); it brings joy to my heart to see so many interested in God's Word. To answer the question: I told God the other day I feel Priveledged knowing He would manifest in the flesh, take on the World's sin ( from the begining to end). show us it is possible to be Victorious, He has it all under control... knowing we could not, cannot, and will not ever be able to Defeat Death/Sin without Him. God being Longsuffering continues to carry the burdens of our sins... He goes through everything with you... All Knowing God... He is so very close to us. Knowing this... I am more aware now and consider the consequences... and quicker to prayer because of my weaknesses. Not only does He so lovingly reveal Himself, but also He is quick to come when we are in need; escpecially when we are about to fall. I would expect a Father to catch me... and He is ever so Faithful to carry through what He has said. And whence I fell I saw a hand of one who cared so dearly... He helped me up and made a way for I now see so clearly. I praise you Lord... the Lord endureth forever. Amen

Sacrifices... Holiness... Nature? I read the Pastor's comment on this one... and I find two words that stood out in my mind... SEVERITY AND HORROR. Each time a sacrifice having to be severed (cut through and bled), like severing our sin or sins. The Discipline, time involved, the overall view of the sacrifice led me to realize the Purity needed in one's heart. And then to think that our sins actually do this very thing to us... severs the relationship we have with God. How I would have come to hate the sins of the offered sacrifices after having to present myself to God before the horns of the bull and then having to sever the sacrifice and follow the exact laws God had spoke... it would have made me realize the sickness and nausea of sin. This is what we must be willing to do... hate the sins/wickedness, yet love thy neighbor. Thank God our Holiness can only be obtained through Him. His nature? All I can say is that one scripture comes to mind... Jesus saying "how long must I bear with this generation"? He has been Forebearing for generations, and if we should also forebear with Him quite possibly we will also learn His Holiness. Looooooooongsuffering. Only because He loves us so.

There are no words to express the Wonder of Him who laid His life on a cross to become the ultimate sacrifice to THE ENTIRE WORLD... from the day of His last earthly breath... to the day of His coming; His return. A calculative number; which would equal the stars and the sands of the beaches. Even I could not comprehend this number of people His blood could cover. I began to ponder one question: In what sense would it have been a WASTE? I cannot conceive in my being it ever is a waste. Even ONE... would have been acceptible in the sight of God. Even ONE would have shown to us the Love to which God so deeply has for us. If but ONE were SAVED I believe He would have done this. For God sooooooo Loved the WORLD... generations and generations of that Enduring Love forever. Thank God more than we can count will be inside of Heavens Gates. John saw Multitudes while he stood before the throne... the vision tells me there are more than we know. Praise God for His blood covers soooooo many. SUNSHINE

"Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the World." In other words... Look upon the One who has come to us all...'the Lamb''; to which describes His gentle character and then to say "Who takes away the sin of the World"... they only knew one way this could be done; again describes sacrifice/blood. By John saying "of God"... because only God could forgive sins. Only a little research allowed me to see also that Lambs were followers of the Sheperd... they depended upon the Sheperd... Also did Jesus. A lamb fits Jesus perfectly. Amen!

Comprehensiveness? Even today it is mindboggling to try and comprehend the wisdom of God; to have thought in His infinite wisdom the Blood of the (flesh without sin); an ultimate sacrifice... to which would take away the Sins of the World. It took Perfection of Blood to which could not be found in anyone of us or animal sacrifice. Praise God!!
