The angel was telling Hagar that God has not forgotten her - even though Abraham and sarah disowned her, God did not - in fact the so called slave or female servant was actually called by her name by God God sends back Hagar to sarah in order to teach her to be humble - since she became proud after she conceived - Gods gifts to us are for his glory - not for us to blow our trumpet about !!!!!

Sarah responded the same way all of us would respond in this situation . her pride was hurt since she could not conceive . Therefore she took her anger on hagar , who ,in fact , was helping her to achive her objective We see when we take our eyes off God , then there is confusion all over Poor Abraham - he did not know what to do . Similar situation hs occured in my family in a diff way , whenever we gave chance to the Devil to take advantage

God was proving to Abraham through the covenant ritual how faithful he would be to Abraham - in order to strenghten his faith Abraham responds in truth and accepts God at his Word - and we have the results for us to see !!!!

Yes , many times , i have been frustrated with God being slow according to my understanding and yerdstick !!! I have tried to take 2 steps forward , which was actually 4 steps backward , and it means nothing and no improvement - God in His Grace again spoke to me in love and restored my joy in Him 2 Corinthians 2 verse 14 : THANKS BE TO GOD WHO ALWAYS CAUSES US TO TRIUMPH IN CHRIST JESES God delays his promise in order that I may folow Him according to His timimg

What is amazing about this verse is that God accepts us just as we are and rewards us for our simple innocent trust and faith in Him , which is quite a challenge in both todays world as well as the world of Abraham , who , without any outside support, in his time, (for eg - this bible study help tool) believed God , ie He took God at His Word For us , as New testament Christains , we are justified, in the same manner , by simple pure faith, in God . No questions , no clarifications , no discussions , no arguments !!!!! WOW What a God !!!!

it means a closer walk with God , wheren he reveals to me how great a companion to me is He ., as a shield in all the good times as well as the bad times in my life An exceedingly great reward means - that according to my faith , God is able to do excedingly more than I can ask or think or imagine Calling God my soverign meanns acknowledging him in all my ways - in effect , allowing Lord Jesus to have the complete headship and Lordship over my life . This is a challenge for me , every day

It shows Ahraham being genuinely concerned about his blood relations .He was a clever general who knew God s on his side and therefore build himself on the most holy faith (Jude 20) A rea challenge to all doubting thomas's believers !!!!

Gods blessing folows us always - wthether we are rich or not Paul says - I have learnt to be content - in whatsoever way I am Material wealth is a symbol of Gods blessing . But it could be a curse if we replace our priorities away from God and towards the wealth - Where your treasure is , there will be your heart

God , is of purer eyes than us . His ways are not our ways . God can forgive anyone .He is rich in mercy , and rich in love !!!

Pharoah and his household became sick because of the mistake commited by Abraham .God in his mercy , provided a way out God wanted Abraham to understand the implication of his mistake which was so costly .We learn from our mistakes - the hard way

It is quite a challenge in a strange and foreign land to avoid facing dangers . I have not faced such sojourners in my community

It takes special faith since it is not easy to obey God in advance . I had this experience when recently i had a problem with my boss and was looking out for a change of job .Satan kept on discouranging me that since I am 45 years , it would be difficult to get the job of my choice . God tiold me that he wants me to be the head and not the tail . It really happened after a year as i cluthed to God in faith

Abraham was blessed spiritually and physically and was in turn a blessing to others as well . God is challenging me to achieve /reach up to the standards wich Abraham conquered

Yes,sometimes I stopped thinking whether i am on the right track or not . I did continue after hearing God reassuring voice !!!

calling on the lord - for guidance - support and help in a strange land with no friends all around for any advice or support

Abraham faith is a challenge and a inspiration to me - that i should always aim for a higher , stronger and richer relationship based on faith in God , not feelings or emotions

Yes , i want to admit that many times , i listened /followed Gods call only to the extent I liked and /or understood
