  1. In order to have a quiet spirit, one must be humble before the Lord. He is to be honored. We need to come humbly before his throne. Humility and trust, faith, rest-all is part of what is needed.
  2. I have been sharing what I have been learning with my son who is in the army. It has been a blessing to him since he is so far away from home.
  3. God does protect us. But, God also allows things in our lives to bring honor and glory to Him. When my husband was diagnosed with inoperable cancer, we pray and determined that no matter what-we were going to give God the glory. Sometimes our trials are for others to see how we handle them and show others that God is sovereign and in control. There are times we just need to learn something.
  4. I have nothing to fear. God is my help. He will take care of me no matter what. He is my strength and help!! I can rest is Him.
  5. I am continually covered by the shadow of His wings. That is an awesome thought. He protects me from others 'seeing' me just from His shadow. I don't have anything to fear because he is my protector and guide. I am safe like a duckling covered by his mother's wings. How comforting to know I am His!!
  6. God is my rock. THere is nothing that can be more solid than that. He is the almighty. I am to call upon him continually. God is my refuge
  7. I have been sharing with my sister the basis for revival and it has been a blessing to share together those things. We are praying that God will bring revival to our lives.
  8. There cannot be revival with out the Word and prayer. I would give the Lord permission to work in my heart, challenge my heart and change me life. I would make sure that nothing is in my life that would hinder the Lord bringing revival to my life. I have to turn from sin and focus wholly and totally on Him.

  10. I must have humility and not think of myself as all-sufficient. God is the only one who can supply my needs. Because of that, I must have faith that he will meet evey need.
  11. I was talking to a friend who was 'down in the dumps' and was able to share Psalm 150!! What joy we have when we praise the Lord for who He is!!!
  12. I blows my mind that the God of the entire universe cares about me. I am just one of millions that God loves and knows. I just can't begin to fathom how much he really cares and wants the best for me.
  13. As David realized, we too, should rest in the fact that God is in control and forgives us. We are children of the ALMIGHTY!! He owns the cattle on a thousand hills, we are rich!!! We can praise God in and through everything. Praise should be a continual thing in our day-praise that we are still breathing; still able to live for the Lord.
  14. God is a forgiving merciful God. Even though we sin (and it doesn't matter what kind of sin-sin is sin), God will forgive if we ask. We have the opportunity through faith that God will answer us.
  15. Praise in this Psalm is for the things the Lord has done; and for who he is. Unfortunately, I think sometimes we as Christians forget to praise God for WHO He is rather than just for what He does. God is worthy of our praise no matter what!! Plus that fact, that often we don't stop and think of all He has done for us-we take it for granted.
  16. There are so many things that we can instruct our children from this Psalm and so many others. We are to teach them not to gossip or slander someone; they are to be truthful; they are to be faithful to God, their family, their church; and good stewardship.
  17. We are to praise the Lord because He is the Almighty, the creator and keeper of the universe, the great God and King, why do we need anything else as reason to praise him?
  18. Everyone and everything should praise the Lord. Even those who do not and don't want to praise the Lord in the end. God deserves our praise!! We too often forget and don't look to see God's handiwork in our lives. Praise should be continually in our mouths and our hearts. God should be given the glory through our lives, not just our talk. God is the ultimate!! He is the praise!!
  19. We are to dwell in unity. The problem with that---selfishness. There is no unity when we can't give up our selfishness! God can use us if we seek the mind of Christ and the unity of Christ. Phil 3.
  20. So many times we as Christians feel like the wicked 'get away' with everything. Not so. God will take care of things-in His time. We are to delight in the law of the Lord-that is where our promises lay!!! So many times the Word of God is not real to us as it should be!!
  21. Why would I want to go on if I didn't think anyone loved me? Knowing God loves me and even sent His son for me causes me to want to live for him 24/7 to 'repay' him. Although repaying him is not anything we can do. But, living for him does glorify him. Being what God wants me to be is my hearts desire.
  22. David was feeling depressed He was losing hope. I have been there, done that. When my husband was diagnosed with inoperable cancer and only expected to live 6 months I thought I would 'die' He only lived one month and now I am a widower with 2 children. God has ALWAYS been faithful. He has provided for me, blessed me, comforted me, and helped me through my lonliness- all I had to do was ask!!
  23. To dwell in the house of the Lord can be a couple of places. The place of the Lord is where he is. But I really feel David was talking about heaven where he and us will dwell with the Lord Forever!! Heaven is his house and we have a mansion waiting for us!! To seek His face is to constantly be in an attitude of prayer that no matter what we say, think, or do should be to God's glory. His face should be what we 'see' when we wake up in the morning, and what we see throughout the day, and the last thing we see when we pillow our head at night. If we seek His face, then we will wait on the Lord and he will bless us, see us through whatever we are facing at the time and prepare us for what we WILL face in the future. Just wait on the Lord. He is ever faithful
  24. The Psalms is always an encouragement to me. I had the awesome blessing to read a few of the Psalms to a dying saint in our church. She is 89 and ready to meet her Lord, she loves the Scriptures, especially the Psalms.
  25. Because of God's awesome creation, David sees how magnificent God is and wants to praise Him and is joyful that he is a part of it. David wants God to search him and know he heart. If there is anything that hinders his relationship with God, he wants it done away with.
