Q1. Why does the New Testament condemn Esau for selling his birthright? (Hebrews 12:16-17) What did selling the birthright represent? What does this transaction say about Esau's character and values? What does it reveal bout Jacob's character and values? Esau was very hungry. He was also very weak, and he did not think through what it would mean to hand over his Birthright to Jacob. He ignored The importance of his Birthright That was given by God. This shows him as a person who lived for the Present, Ignoring the consequences of his actions. Also disrespecting Gods Gift. Jacob although a quite man was very devious. He took advantage of his Brothers weakness, for his own gain. He must have planned what he was going to do. Knowing that Esau would be very hungry when he came home. and he would give anything to be gratified. Both Brothers were lacking in respect for God, also their Parents, even though they both loved their parents.

As a Congregation, we must refuse any contact with false teachings. To allow them access would invite them to mis lead and corrupt a congregation. To cause vunerable people to be tempted to follow Their Lies,and corrupted ways. We must stand strong against attack.

When we run ahead of God, we get to thinking that we do not need God, that we can do things all on our own.This is a wrong attitude,as we can soon run into trouble, we can then get into wrong company, and get completely lost, we can lose Gods fellowship. We need to keep in fellowship with Christ. He will lead us in Righteousness and truth. He will lead us through all the Pit falls of life. We can dwell with him for ever In His Love.

A defeatist is one that dose not believe That Jesus is the son of God. They will not rely on Jesus for Their redemption, They would rather follow the world. A Believer Puts all their Trust in Christ,to overcome the world, and Truely believe That God will overcome Satan, and The World.

The difference is, God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his son. he who possesses his son, dose not have that life. The Church, or the body of the Church can Instruct us in what to believe, but it cannot give us life in The Son of God, That only comes from God. Life in Jesus Son of God is to walk faithfully with him, we let him take over our lives, we try to live a blameless life for his sake.We must also be responsible for showing our faith in God, by example in how we live our lives. Faith in our Church is not the same, in Church we sing praises to our God, and attend faithfully declaring our belief and love for God.to lead people into the Love of God, by our example.

When we live and move about in darkness, we are speaking falsely and do not live and practice the truth. We must confess and tell God we are Sorry, and really mean it. God will forgive us, and he will welcome us back to himself joyfully with out-stretched arms. We will then be able to walk in the light. And be in fellowship with one another. If we do not ask God to forgive us, then we will continue to walk in the Darkness.

It is very important that we believe that Jesus was God, who came down to earth as flesh, as a little babe. who grew up and lived as a human But without sin. Who was tortured and beaten, who died for our sins on the Cross of shame, Because he loved us, he took all our sins upon himself. Satan dose not want us to believe in God, Because Satan hates God. He wants us to worship him instead. He wants us to follow him into a life of sin. He will do all he can,to Make us deny Jesus. Satan wants us worship him instead of God,Then he will distroy us with eternal death so that we will not have eternal life with God. If we invite Jesus to come into our lives, he will live in us, and we in him. Then Satan cannot have any hold on us.

Getting to know someone that you are not sure of, and Learn to understand them more. It is not long before someone approaches for help, Once the barriers are down, they feel that they can trust you, and then can talk to you,about their problems and needs. Maybe someone just needs a lift home in the car. or something more serious. Join the Choir, That helps to get Known by the larger congregation. Join the Bible Studies, The Prayer groups, fellowship meetings, I also belong to a ladies Christian Group "The Causeway". Get to know the Younger members, as they are the congregation of the future. Some members forget this, when they do not want attend the family services. Just show your love for all

Anyone who Hates his brother in Christ is at heart a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding within him. Hate can cause someone to do dreadful things, such as murder. Also it comes from The evil one. We must Pray and ask God for forgiveness, when we get so angry that we start to lose control. we must fight this with our whole being. Asking God for his help. If we ask God for help, he will be very close to us. and he will help us. We should leave it with God, he will take care of it for us.

Cain resented Abel, because Abel had found favour with God, Abel had presented God with the first born Lamb of the flock. God had respect and regard for Abel and for his offering,.God had no respect for Cain or his offering, Cain became very angry and indignant, I think he was also very jealous that God held Abel with great respect and regard. He took Abel to the field, and it was there that he killed him. He was driven with Anger, he was malicious and wicked. Abel was Righteous.That is why cain hated him. He was Motivated by the evil one. The world hates the Righteous,because they love their fellow Christians. Jesus came to us with no Sin, The Devil was the start of sin he has always sinned. Those who say that there is no sin, Are false teachers. Jesus came to abolish sin, he came to save us all from our sinful lives. So that we will live righteously and be with him in Heaven. If we do not stop sinning we are not Gods Child, we are the Devils child. This is the clear difference between Gods Children and The Devils Children.

When Gods Seed is present in us, we Do not want to go against Gods wishes, We try hard not to sin.That is not always easy, we have to work hard at it.when we keep praying and praising God we feel very close to him, and it is easier not to sin. The Holy spirit is within us, It helps us to fight these battles.And encourages us.The more we win the easier it is to not repeat sins. Because we love God we want to live in his peace.

Lawlessness shows up in our attitudes to our fellowman, Not caring about others, going ones way without thought for those we may hurt or offend. Not caring what we do.so that it is easy to sin, without feeling guilty in any way. Turning away from God.Living our lives just for ourselves without thought for anyone else..

If we want to be ready to return with Jesus, we must to be free from sin, We must Love God with all our heart and minds.We must love Our nieghbours as ourselves. Jesus Loved us so much that he died for us.I am so grateful that he did that for me.I could never ever repay him enough for his Grace and Love.

When we accept Jesus, as Our Lord and saviour, We become a Child of God. God will send The Holy Spirit to come and live within us, when we confess our sins. we are then Re-Born again into Gods family.We will live in truth and love with our God.

When I abide in Jesus, I love him with my whole heart. I trust in him, I put my thoughts and worries in him, and Leave it with him. I truely trust that he will take care of me. I love my neighbour as myself.I do not use his name in vain. I talk about my Faith in Jesus, I do not deny him to non Christians. If I did not abide in Jesus,I would not praise his name, I would go my own way,and refuse to believe anymore about God and Jesus.I would do as I liked, even thou I know It is against Gods law.I would forget to pray. I would not be kind to his people, even if I knew that they needed me.I would be walking in Darkness.

To carry all our hurt and hate, pulls us away from God. We are angry and feel that no one understands. Some times we blame God for what has happened to us. This can go on for many years.We cannot forgive the one who inflicted this hurt. Instead of trying to forgive this person or persons, we just carry this hurt within ourselves. We must Pray and ask God to help us To forgive, This can be very hard for us to do, but before God will help us we must forgive first. We must try and see this person who has hurt us so much,as one of Gods Children. To look with compassion and Love upon them. We must show that we love the sinner, not the sin Then to start praying for them, asking God to forgive all the hurt that this Person has inflicted on us. If we really mean it, God will answer our prayers. he will forgive us all our angry feelings. We will feel refreshed, in time all the feelings we had will be washed away. and we will walk in the light once again. I have been through this myself.so I can assure anyone who is going through this, that God will help us to get through this. All we have to do, is to Pray asking him to help us.It is so distructive to carry anger too long. Thank you Jesus for walking with me. For giving me the strength to Forgive.Amen.

If we show Our love of God to all, and treat all we meet with kindness and love. And treat all as our family. We will not become legalistic and judgemental. Love is given freely from our hearts, But Legalism is laws, that we have to follow, Because they are the Law. To be serious about obedience to god. we need to pray constantly. To be quite and feel Gods love for us. Tell god that we love him. To walk with him every moment of our lives, To be at one with Him.

Jesus loved us so much, that he died on the cross, he took all our sins and paid for them. That is why as true Christians we do not want him to have died in vain. this encourages us to try and lead a sinless life. It is impossible for us as humans not to sin, but we have been given the assurance that We are loved, and Jesus stands with us in front of The Father. Therefore we want to try and avoid sin,and be able to walk joyfully with God

When I confess I tell God everything that I have done, that seperates me from him. I ask for his forgiveness, for sins that I know of, also for all the sins I am not aware of. As it says in John 1:9 If we admit that we have sinned and confess our sins. He is faithful and just and will forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. vs10: If we say we have not sinned, we contradict his word and make him out to be false and a liar, and his word is not in us. So If we do not confess, His light will not be in us, and we continue to walk in the darkness. If we confess our sins,and really mean it, he will forgive us, and wash away all our Sins so that we will walk in the light with him.
