  1. Even while dying on the cross, Jesus was concerned about his family, He instructed John to care for Mary , Jesus' mother. Jesus had trust in John that he would take care of His mother same as He had Loved Jesus. Our families are precious gifts from God, and we should value and care for them under all circumstances.
  2. You and I are most responsible for killing Jesus, because of our sins that He takes upon His-self for us. Our corruption, our weakness and pettiness. Without Jesus' bearing our sins upon himself, none of us could be forgiven.
  3. Travel during Winter is more difficult, because of ice, snow, and storms. Because the way through the Mediterranean will soon be closed and Timothy will not be able to get through to Paul. I would like to think that the Lord will keep me in my right mind, and I would drop everything and make my way immediately to Paul if I were Timothy.
  4. When Paul had been abandoned by Demas because he loved the present world. He could not endure the hardships of the ministry. Just as Paul, when our friends that start out with us is no longer faithful on the missionary journey it cause us to want to here encouraging word from other friends who have not abandoned their faith in Jesus Christ. The Lord is faithful, Paul stated in (V 17a). But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me, The Lord is always their for the asking, Praise The Lord, Thank you Jesus, and bless His Holy Name.
  5. Life time of faithful service to Christ Jesus. Jesus will return with rewards for those who stick it out over the long haul, The Crown of righteousness is a special reward given to those who serve God faithfully on this earth. All who have loved His appearing are those believers in Christ who have lived faithfully in the hope of His return.
  6. To persever through struggles, and serve God until the end, and be temperate in all things. However the crown of life is the reward for endurance and suffering for the cause of Christ striving to do the will of God until He calls me home and this earth walk has been finished.
  7. To be watchful "Sober". Endure afflictions the hard toil of ministry, which will have its own reward. An evangelist equips and encourages believers to share the Good News The Gospel Of Christ Jesus.
  8. Paul command to Timothy by calling on God and Jesus Christ to be witnesses to it. He reminds Timothy that Jesus will return in judgement. Paul's charge to Timothy is to preach the word. Preaching God's truth. Be ready to take a stand, perseverance and courage be alert at all times. To my responsibilites, even when it is inconvenient. Longsuffering true Spiritual growth occures over a period of time, through consistent teaching and application of God's Word.
  9. Scripture throughly equipes christians for ministry by fully preparing the person who masters the word of God so that they will never lose their way. Doctrine-teaching of God word, Reproof, conviction, correction setting something straight, instruction training, knowledge and information.
  10. Inspiration of Scriptuer means "God breathed", Paul teaches that God was actively involved in the revelation of His truth to the apostles and prophets, who wrote it down. Doctrine is teaching. Paul highlights correct teaching first and always.
  11. That when we follow Christ Jesus we must put a side our own desires and conveniences and curry our cross with Him every day and keep close to Christ Jesus. For no one can be a disciple of Christ Jesus who does not carry their own cross and follow Jesus Christ daily.
  12. They will go to Church, Yes, but they won't really believe anything they hear. We must not become a hypocrite like that even tho it can easly happen. But by believing God's salvation by trusring in Christ Jesus we want become a hypocrite.
  13. God's people must not be quarrelsome, they must be gentle, patient teachers of those who are wrong. They must be humble when trying to teach those who are mixed up concerning the truth. For if you talk meekly and courteously to them they are more likely, with God's help, to turn away from their wrong ideals and believe what is true.
  14. Daily, Daily, Same as the way I put on the righteousness of Jesus Christ. The imagery of the house is used to describe two categories of believes. Gold and silver represent believers who are faithful and useful in serving Christ Jesus. Wood and clay represent believers who fail to honor the Lord. "Cleanse ourselves "so that we might be useful and ready for the Lord's use by flee... pursue...,and avoild, fleeing from evil, pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, and avoild all that Christ Jesus has not taken a part of, this means all opposition, conflicts, and quarreling.
  15. Approved refined by fire remains after testing. Rightly dividing cutting straight, word of truth handling God truth accurately. Teaching the truth in darkness of all kinds of falsehoods.
  16. Three illustrations are given for faithfulness. The first is a soldior. The christian walk is often presented as spiritual warfare. Effective service calls for singleness of purpose. The second illustration come from athletics. The Greek game were important and demanded strenuous training. No compititor could be crowned unless he completed in accordance with the rukes. Here the reference is to a victor's wreath given in an athletic contest. Faithful belivers will receive a victor's crown. The third illustration is that of a hardworking farmer. Conscientious, hard labor is necessary before a farmer can enjoy a bountiful harvest. That laziness cannot be a character trait of faithful christians.
  17. When a Church do not declare the call of endurance and suffering, it's because of a lack to forsake the flesh and commit to the true gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We to have shy away for endurance because of being timid, but once we excepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior we no longer partake in fear, because God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and love, and of sound mind. But those who are willing to suffer for the gospel will receive an abundant reward in eternity.
  18. Commit to teaching to faithful men. Faithful men then have the responsibility of teaching others. This will be the basis for an endless chain of christian discipleship, the teaching of christian teaching among many witnesses. Discipleship may occur in large groups, small groups, or one- on- one encounters.
  19. Paul's confidence in the gospel and Savior Christ Jesus enable him to suffer without any shame. The phrase whom I have believed expresses unshakable trust in Christ Jesus. What I have committed does not refer to something Paul has done for Christ, but to something he had entrusted to Him, not as Paul's confidence in himself but of Christ's trust worthiness. It's like a deposit in a bank, God will keep our deposit, our life, and the eternal rewards an investment in Christ Kingdom an abundant reward in eternity.
  20. Sharing with the suffering indicates that at times a faithful witnes for the Lord will involve adversity. Paul's call for boldness applyed to Timothy at that time and to us in this day and time. We to every once in a while need a gentle push to be bold. God's calling of believers is not according to works. It is impossible for people to earn their way into heaven. Salvation is according to God's own purpose, grace is God's unearned favor. God's plan and grace has been revealed, the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, abolished death no more reason for believers to shrunk from testifying about their faith death has no victory because Jesus Christ has abolished death.
