  1. Sin is sin in God's eyes. Man thinks in degrees of sin. People are sent to prison for murder by earthly judges. When we stand in front of our Lord on judgement day he will see all the sins we have commited not just the "worst ones". That is why it is so important to have a daily relationship with God and always to ask his forgiveness of our sins. We are human and God knows we are going to sin. He is there for us every day all we need do is invite him in and allow him to work in our lives. God always leaves a window open for us if our burdon becomes to much to bare.
  2. Getting and giving forgiveness. We need to settle matters quickly with anyone we have angered or owe a debt of any kind. We must do this so God will forgive us our sins. If we have not asked for forgiveness or given it our Heavenly Father will not be able to forgive us, and our passage will not be allowed into Heaven.
  3. Settle out of court, once the judge sentences you it will be to late. Jesus is talking about the court of our heavenly Father in comparison to an earthly one. We are to settle matters with our brothers on earth. Asking forgiveness, giving forgiveness, paying our debts, etc. We should settle for the greatest reason of all. So that we can set with our Father in Heaven and inherit the Kingdom of Heaven. For it is a place of Great Glory.
  4. If we are holding on to something someone did or said to us in anger and are withholding our forgiveness, then God cannot forgive us of our sins. I would have to go to the person and ask for forgiveness. To ask for forgiveness is a very humbling experience and once you have asked the person you have angered that person should forgive you. You can not make someone forgive you. That choice is theirs, they will have to answer to God as to why they held onto their angry and withheld forgiveness. When we have done everything we can to be forgiven and are not we should turn the matter over to God and move on knowing that God will intervene.
  5. As Christians we are to be salty in bringing the word of God to other people, by letting our light shine. Salty meaning we are to not be afraid of what other people will think of us. Our Light is the word of God. That we should bring glory to God by not being shy about spreading the Word of God to people who may not have a relationship with God. We have glory when we have a good relationship with our Lord, but at the same time we will see suffering at the hands of non-believers who would rather not see our light shining. If all people had the same belief in the Lord as was intended by God, Jesus suffering would not have been necessary. We do not all believe in the same God. Some even have false idols. Therefore Jesus suffering was necessary. God had to make a bold enough statement thru Jesus to show non-believers that he was very serious about saving all the sheep in the flock. And in the same way our suffering is also necessary. When you step out in faith and spread the Word of God there will be those who mock us thus suffering. Churches across this nation are filled with people every Sunday. But do these same people live the Word of God everyday or just on Sunday? Romans 12:2 says not to conform to the ways of world. Therefore we are to be Christians everyday of our lives not just on Sunday. Sunday Christians only want to be seen on Sunday and then are not salty and hide their light under a bowl the rest of the week. Love the Lord with all your heart, soul, mind, body. Let your light shine, be ready for the love of God to be seen through you.
  6. Jesus is talking about letting other people see the light that shines inside you, your passion for Christ. Don't hide that you are a believer in Christ. We are to send that message to the lost. God wants us to help other people who have never accepted him or who have fallen away.
  7. We should let our light shine for all to see, because this gives praise to God. Our light being our love for God and our need to let other people know about God.
  8. A Christian who has lost his saltiness would be someone who no longer has the same passion they once had for focusing on God and spreading the word to other people either Christian or Non-Christian. Yes, you can see and feel when you are not putting God first in your life. Both secular and Christian people can see the same things about a de-saltified Christian. They will both see this person falling to the ways of the "world". Yes it is possible to resaltify your life. I am living proof of that. This is the main purpose I joined this Bible Study. God brought this study to me at the exact time I needed it. The Beatitudes Is a very good place for me to begin my next journey with God. In Jesus name may God bless us.
