  1. Q3. (Isaiah 42:6-7) What does it mean for God's people to be "a light to the nations"? Gods chosen people i.e the “ church :” those who he has separated out" will have to live exemplary lives to show what Christs life was like and how they are to follow Christ....they should show the way to Jesus like a lamp shows the way to the feet In what ways are you "letting your light shine"? Some of the deeds are Looking after the needy, feeding the poor, clothing those who are without clothes, visiting the sick etc and this should be done with out show and ostentation.. in giving the secrecy has to be maintained so that even left hand doesnt know what right hand has done. How well do you represent God's covenant in your everyday life? What I do is really insignificant but to help others I will tell some things Try to feed the hungry when they come to my doorstep. Attend the ‘‘Feeding of the poor programme” in the church and “help” Proclaim the Gospel to anyone who has time to listen to the" salvation news." Distribute scripture...st Johns gospel;, new testament etc Give the old clothes in orphagnage, Visit Destitiute homes, old age homes and help provide their needs I sing Praises to the Lord even in Public functions. Sponsor 2 poor children for education, food, medecines, clean and safe drinking water Forgive others when they wrong me. Try not to react when someone irritates me...the holy Spirit has worked and reduced my anger Never pride myself with the open announcemmnet of my talents, Always “ Rejoice “ whatever the situation and try to spread the Joy of the Lord around me . I always direct a Christmas play and invite unbelievers to see the Nativity of Jesus. yet I have far to go in the fields of Humility, Submission, Self Denial, and more vigorous Gospel proclammation, more intense quiet time with the Lord with Prayer and Praise and Deeper Meditation on the Word of God by which my life will be better aligned with the role of covenant people.
  2. Q2. (Isaiah 42:1-4) What do these verses teach us about the Messiah? These verses teaches us that God will send a Servant..... His Chosen One who will be very gentle and tender with His people Israel and most important of all He will be JUST especially the poor , injured and weak. He will be very merciful but those who do wrong will be justly punished. What will characterize him and his actions? Gentleness and Justice What does it tell us about his quest for justice? Without making too much ado about it and without violence he will carry out his mission He will neither falter nor be discouraged but remain faithful in his establishing justice on the earth About his tenderness? He will not harm a bruised reed meaning thereby that the injured and weak he will tenderly bring into his realm. If this describes our Messiah, what difference should it make in our lives, values, and demeanor? We too should not be raising our voices about what we can do , we should not enfore strict measures to hurt people but we should gently with love, teach and propagate Righteousness and Justice
  3. Q1. (Isaiah 40) What does Isaiah 40 teach us about the necessity of preparing ourselves for the Lord (verses 3-5)? Isaiah tells us to repent and change all our wrong attitudes and prepare oourselves and our hearts for receiving the Lord . He compares the heart to a Highway with ditches and unevenness which have to be filled in preparation for the charriot of the Lord to pass on. We are to forget about the worldly attractons which are temporary as the flowers and grass which wither away and concnetrate on spiritual preparations. About God's tenderness and compassion (verse 11)? Yahweh will look after his people tenderly and with compassion like a loving Shepherd and will carry us in his arms and against his bosom and will gently lead us in the right direction. About God's glory vs. the glory of nations (verses 15-17)? Alll the nations are nothing before Him as dust on the seashore which he can gather in his hand .. The cravings of sinful man for the world, the **** of the eyes for things of the world and the pride of fame and fortune are all transient before the wealth of heaven and those who do the will of God will live forever. Why do we get so enamored by the glitter and glory of the world? We get infatuated by the glitter and glory of the world , the sophistication and technology of big cities and the wealth and emminence of famous peolple makes us want to become like them..it draws one to equal it and emmerge a winner. What pieces are we missing (verses 15-17, 21-26)? All the nations of the world are nothing and just emptiness to God who can bring the rulers and princes to nothing ., the plants hardly take root and stem when he blows on them and they wither..He is all powerful and wise. We live with so many distractions and we have to remove the things which obstruct our view of our Soverign Lord who actually is the creator of all but from whom the world and Satan lures us away. we are missing out on the intimacy and close relationship with our Lord because of the enticement by eyes, flesh and pride of life. According to verse 31, how can we draw strength from the Lord? Those who wait patiently for the LORD to act will be strong and never get tired or faint , infact they will get new energy and will rise up like they are on wings of an eagle in the sky. He is faithful and will never fail us. He knows our needs.
  4. Q4. (Isaiah 38:3) What is the basis on which Hezekiah asks for healing? Hezekiah asks for healing a)......The prayers of a righteous man availeth much. James 5:16b ...... he appealed for a descendant in accordance with the promise to David who was told his line would endure for ever. 2 Samuel 7 ;11-16 c)..... all who lived righteous lives were promised long life. Deut 4:40 ,12:25 d).....all who honoured thier father and mother were blessed with long life...Ex 20;12 Why is personal righteousness and holiness important in getting your prayers answered? The prayers of a righteous man are answered but we do not merit it ...all Gods gifts are through GRACE ..We cannot earn anything by our good works How can unrighteousness prevent answered prayer if all gifts from God are by grace anyway? It is similar to your attitude to disobedient children ..you would refrain from giving into their requests...God can answer prayer of sinners too ...He loves all It is upto Him
  5. Q3. (Isaiah 38:2-3) Why is Hezekiah's healing important for his nation? Hezekiah probably had no heir and at a crucial time like this when his country was under attack he felt helpless to protect his country. He also hadnt appointed anyone to succeed him in the rule of his country therefore it was important that he recovered and took stock of the situation and trained someone to lead his country . How did it relate to God's promises made to David (2 Samuel 7:11b-16)? Hezekiah had been a good king leading a life according to the will of God. God had promised “offspring and a long life to those who walked uprightly in the eyes of the Lord” and Hezeiah was noted to have lived a righteours life. God had promised David that he would give him innumerable descendants and make his throne remain forever i.e. held by his sucessors/ offspring in as the line of the Messiah ...Hezekiah was in the line of Davids descendents ..
  6. Q2. (Isaiah 37:16) How do the first two sentences of Hezekiah's prayer (verse 16) correspond to the first sentence of the Lord's Prayer? The first two sentences of Hezekiah’s prayer are similar to the Lords Prayer in that a).... Hezekiah addresses God as “ LORD” which is a personal salutation for Yahweh...It is similar to the Lord's prayer where God is Praised and magnified with intimacy as Father. ......Hezikiah acknowledges God’s place as sitting on the Throne and flanked by cherubims ...God’s guardian angels..He sees God sitting on the throne in heaven ...Simalar to the Lords prayer where God is acknowledged as being in Heaven c)....Hezekiah addresses God as the most powerful over all the nations of the earth as He alone had made heaven and earth ..the sovereign Creator God..this is similar to the Lords prayer because Jesus honours God the father by praying that His name be "Hallowed" on earth as in heaven again accrediting Heaven and Earth to His Sovereign Creation. How are they important to faith? Faith is centred on One God ..the only Creator of the heavens and the earth, an all powerful God ..we cannot limit His power,A Great God whom we can expect great things from When we truly believe these things our FAITH is strong. How are they important to God answering the prayer? When we Praise God we dispel the adverse effects ...it is a spiritual warfare and prayer gets answered.. .God likes to be acknowledged as a Father who Protects, Provides and Preserves and we admit we are His children totally dependant on Him God wants us to consider Him our only Help/ Rock / Strength / Shepherd and to depend on Him only at all times WITH HUMILITY r
  7. Q1. (Isaiah 37:14) What is the significance of Hezekiah spreading out the enemy's message before the Lord? Hezekiah feels the letter is insulting and humilating to God of Israel rather than to Hezekiah and he cannot stand that his GOD is being defamed or dishonoured and so he prays to God to take over the situation ...He wants the Lords honour to be restored...and he has full confidence and faith that God will destroy the enemy inspite of their mighty army and capability. What is the underlying principle illustrated here?t The underlying principle is “ the battle is the Lords “ Be still and know that I am God. How can we apply this principle to our own lives? When we are under stress ...we are to submit our problem to the Lord and let him handle it in His own way ...we have to wait on the Lords action and not endeavour to solve the problem with our might and tactics. Allow the Lord to lead the army and be the general in command. What happens when we don't apply this principle? When we try to solve our problems on our own we fall flat.. we may achieve something but that is far below what the Lord intended for you ..sometimes it may turn out disastrous for us to rely on our own will and decisions.
  8. Q1. (Isaiah 37:14) What is the significance of Hezekiah spreading out the enemy's message before the Lord? 9. Q6. (Isaiah 35:1-10) How do you think these verses brought hope to their first readers? When they were faced with destruction they read this passage and it brought immense Hope because they felt like a bonded slave which was being bought back by the master at a ransom price for the release of their debt...they could feel the love of God for them. What is promised here? They would see the City Of God, Jerusalem with Rejoicing and glory.. they would see the desert land totally changed into a paradise they would wear a crown of glory. They would see Jerusalem a Peaceful abode with abundance of food and water . The Lord would be a protector and He would rule as Lawgiver, Judge, King AND LORD. Why do you think Isaiah relies on heavily figurative language to communicate these promises? God always talks in figurative language involving everyday life ..even Jesus spoke in parables so that the comparison is easy to draw. How does he describe the "highway of holiness"? The description is very uch like the last chapter of Revelation ad this seems to be a miracle initself that so many centuries before he would foresee the end of this world/Age....a road by which all the redeemed will enter the City of God with rejoicing and without fear and experiencing only happiness . Who will walk on it? God will walk on it with us ..the redeemed only. Who won't? No evil person will walk on it.... Even no lion will walk on it ..i.e. there will be nothing to fear while walking on this Highway What does it mean to be redeemed and ransomed? Redeemed means when a relative buys back a member of the family who has been sold as a slave for the debts owed to the owner. Ransomed means when a large price is paid for the release of the slave . Jesus Christ is our Kinsman Redeemer and He Ransomed us with the price He paid by shedding His precious Blood on the Cross of Calvary. .

  11. How does ethical love show the love of God. When we life a righteous life honoring God by the words we speak, the things we do, the way we walk and talk and exhibit justice and christlike character it will surely affect all humans we come in touch with and they will realise that this is only a ethical love for God.. How does it show the love for man?. when we live such lives we will naturally not harm any human being and live in love and harmony with our neighbours so that is following Gods commands and shows love tor people. How does the corruption of taking bribes destroy righteous government? If we are honest and fair in our dealings and reject making profit by fraudulent means, hold back our hands from taking bribes, refuse to listen to wrong plans and intentions..we will sit in high places.BUT if we indulge in the wrong practices then we are ruling with the evil forces donminating the government.
  12. Q2. (Isaiah 29:13) Have you ever seen a religious person go through all the religious motions, but whose heart is far from God? Yes . Many times we are distracted about some incident in our home or some problem with a relative or a sons job or a commitemn twe are burdened with then Satan takes a foothold and we tend to sing with our lips but minds are focussed on our problems...we go through the prayers and every part of worship mechanically because we cannot give all of ourselves to God..many times we may just be sleepy from a late night but go to church our of a duty. How can we detect this in ourselves if it applies to us? Yes we can detect this the moment we are thinking of other things during prayer...far from the topic or person we are praying about ..our mind strays. We continuously keep thinking of earthly matters and prayer becomes empty. What is the remedy? It is difficult to shut off that matter from our minds..we need to spend some time in praying about that topic first ...leave it at the feet of Jesus and then only worship Him. It is a good habit to make prayer the first thing in the morning before the issues of the day enter into our minds and block the pure and god-ward thoughts..early morning our hearts are full of the beauty of the earth and the Creator of all we see. How can you tell if your practice of religion is merely following "rules taught by men"? When prayers become a formality and become totally “bland” i.e. repititive ..no new dimension , when we fail to appreciate God in all His wisdom and glory , when we fail to realise His power, His sacrificial love, his unparalleled care for us which not even a parent would do for his/her child...and when we only approach God for our shopping list and not to honour Him or give him love /respect and adoration for His blessings to us ...when we seek him only with a selfish interest. When we are not joyful about our worship and emotional about our interacation with Him..then our practise of religion is merely superficial / of men. What is the danger of a rule-based faith? How does it differ from a love-based faith? A rule based faith is one sided while a love based faith is two sided ...we love.... he gives us Joy. Ruled based we perform.... and go away with pride!
  13. Q3. (Isaiah 30:15-29) Why does God long to show us grace (30:18)? The lord longs to show grace and compassion...He loves to shower with blessings those who wait patiently for his leading.. What does that say about God's character? This shows us that the Lord is gracious, compassionate and just. He loves us dearly and wants to shower us with His blessings but we just have to trust him What prevents his grace? Rebellion, Distrust, Impatience, Arrogance and Grieving the Holy Spirit. Have you ever experienced the kind of guidance Isaiah mentions in verse 21? Yes when we are disturbed and ask God for guidance and a solution then we surely hear Gods voice saying to us “ this is the way walk in it “ What is necessary in us so that we can hear God's voice? Repentance, Absolute submission, Forgiveness to the person who wrongs you , Forget grudges, Purpose to please God only, REMIND YOURSELF TO IMITATE JESUS and then He will speak to you and answer you. “Call upon the lord and He will answer you.” Jerimiah 33:3
  14. Q4. (Isaiah 31:1) Why do we tend to seek help from every source except the Lord? We seek help from all and sundry and we keep looking for connections and openings where we can find a resource to help us...we lack FAITH in God who has all power to do anything ..while sitting in your house he can provide a spouse for marriage without you going out to search for one....he can provide a new fantastic job and throw you out of your old job without your even suspecting it....The Lord’s plans aare marvellous. We just have to go along with HIS WILL .. that is important. It is very difficult. We see so many opportunities and ways to solve the problem so we run amock. In what way is this similar to idolatry? When we worship idols we put our trust in a statue made of mud/clay...that really amounts to nothing ...it has no power, cannot speak , cannot see, hear or act..whereas Our God has the power which could rasie Jesus from the dead and much more. When we put our trust in abstract idols like Riches , position, fame they are all transient and will end one day but our God is Eternal having an unchanging , unceasing, unconditional love for us ...only we do not realise it . People haven't changed. Jesus recognized this tendency. What was the remedy he taught his disciples in Matthew 6:31-33? Jesus tells us to seek first the kingdom of God and all the things we need will be given to us...only unbelievers run after these materialistic values and things of this world but our heavenly Father knows what we need and He will provide them before we even ask for it.
  15. Q1. (Isaiah 28) How are we humans able to justify and deceive ourselves so easily? We believe the lie...we are convinced that what we believe is the truth ..we convince ourselves that it wont matter ...we tell ourselves it is just a last time...we make excuses for the need for what we are doing, we justify our deeds and lifestyle and carry on in the same life Why do we hold onto lies that guide our lives? We lack the understanding of the width and breath and depth and height of Gods Love and His great and unparalleled sacrifice of Christs death on the cross..the reality of it doesnt rub off on us..a thing of the past kinda.t ..we want to do the right but we do the wrong becasue the forces of evil are stronger ...we do not reign victoriously and behave as conquerors with Christ Why do people stumble over Christ, the tested foundation stone, and his righteous standards? They stumble over Him as if he is a rock/ stone in their path because they are unable to trust Him. They feel there is nothing so wrong in thier lives..they refuse to admit thier sinfulness, they live with an attitude to thier sin as a small sin but in Gods dictionary there is no small or big sin ..a sin is a sin is a sin.....and the punishment for it is death which Christ died for in advance in our stead ...but they live life with a blind eye , a deaf ear and a hard heart..not responding to or receiving the TRUTH How can we help people come to the truth? It is important to teach them with love of Christ. We have to pray for them to be convicted of their sin and to accept Christ as their Saviour. We are to translate Jesus love into action for them to understand the love of Christ. What is the alternative if they don't, according to Isaiah 28:21? The Lord will come in anger suddenly to do a strange and unusual thing , to destroy His own people
  16. Q5. (Isaiah 26:19) Does this passage actually teach a bodily resurrection? Yes this passage does teach about a bodily resurrection ..in fact it is a prophecy of the first resurrection when Christ will come again andwhen the church's dead, and Christ's dead, the dead in him, will live again, and rise first, and come forth to the resurrection of life, and live and reign with Christ a thousand years:, just like many graves were opened and the dead came out and walked at the time of the crucifixion.; Christ's resurrection is the pledge and earnest of theirs; because he lives, they shall live also; he is the first fruits of them that slept: or as in like manner he was raised, so shall they; as he was raised incorruptible, powerful, spiritual, and glorious, and in the same body, so shall they; their vile bodies shall be fashioned like unto his glorious body What does it teach us about resurrection? The resurrection wont come immediately ...first a great judgement will occur and Gods wrath will be manifest on those who have not believed and then He will bring His saints back to life. When will this resurrection take place, according to the New Testament? According to the Book of Revelation which is the vision given the John the apostle by God Himself all things will be according to His description Revelation 20:4 After the sixth trumpet is complete, the martyred saints will be harvested from the earth and the gospel ministry will end. This is the 1st resurrection.. Then the rest of the nations outside Israel will be brought under the wrath of God ( Bowls 1-7)At the time the seventh bowl of wrath is poured out on the unrepentant mankind,Christ will return to the earth with the harvested saints and defeat Satan and his followers at the battle of Armageddon Christ will set up the next millenium when He will come back on the earth to complete the final and total restoration of the saints There will be the great white throne judgement and whoever is not in the book of life will be cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. After the millenium , all the saints will have reached full maturation and will no longer be short of the glory of God. Saints will be able to look God in the face and not be overcome by the radiance of His glory. Rev 21:1 Then He will recreate the new heavens and the new earth And return once again to walk with His creation on earth.
  17. Q6. (Isaiah 27:12-13) When Isaiah prophesies the gathering of all his people at the sound of a great trumpet call, to what New Testament event does this correspond? The prophecy of Isaiah gathereing all the people at the sound of the trumpet correspond to the “SEALING OF THE REDEEMED”... as is recorded in the 7th chapter of the Book of Revelations. After the 6th seal is broken God tells his angel from the east to restrict the winds from the 4 corners of the earth from harming the earth , the sea nor the trees till the servants of God ( the redeemed) would get the seal of the living God on thier foreheads...these were 144,000 people from the 12 tribes of Israel and a great multitude of nations and peoples of varying tongues,JEWS AND GENTILES WHO HAD BEEN WASHED IN THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB WERE GATHERED and stood before the throne and before the Lamb clothed in white robes and palms in their hands. Then there is a description of honour and happiness for those who had faithfully served Christ and suffered for Him.
  18. 26:3-4) According to this verse, what is the key to perfect peace? When you let go of all your burdens and cares and cast them on the Lord and LEAN ON HIM for everyting, trusting in Him as your only resourse, strength , advisor, guide, snf constantly looking ONLY to him for help and deliverance in life then you will have perfect peace ..the key therefore is perfect/complete Trust in the lord Jesus Christ. What happens when we get distracted from trusting in the Lord? When we get distracted from trusting in the Lord we will surely die...the Israelites had the “type” in the wilderness when they were bitten by the poisonous snakes they were told to look up to the Bronze serpent which was lifted up on the pole and those who looked survived the poisonous bite those who did not died......so also we are to LOOK TO JESUS WHO WAS LIFTED UP ON THE CROSS FOR THE POISON OF OUR SINS and we shall have life.otherwise DEATH AND DAMNATION...CONDEMNATION. TRIVIAL OUTCOMES of not trusting in Him are anxiety, fear, overconfidence in self, looking to other solutions, indulging in worldly pleasures etc all lead to death...only the Lord is your stregth and life. Why is the Lord called the "Rock eternal"? The Lord is compared to a large stone / Rock which anchors a ship ...we are to cast all the burdens we have upon him...he will be able to bear it no matter what the weight...he can bear all the weight whatever and for all times till the end of the earth... Living life inevitably brings us into conditions akin to a horrible pit......when we yearn to stand on a Rock a sure foundation, a secure footing...the parable of the wise man building his house upon a rock also illustrates that Jesus Christ is the ROCK ...THE STABILITY WE NEED IN LIFE. FOR ALL TIMES WHATEVER THE SITUATION.... In the 1800s, Edward Mote wrote a powerful hymn titled The Solid Rock: My hope is built on nothing less Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness I dare not trust the sweetest frame But wholly lean on Jesus’ name On Christ the solid Rock I stand All other ground is sinking sand All other ground is sinking sand
  19. Q3. (Isaiah 25:7) Why does the promise that "he will swallow up death forever" provide such comfort to us when we grieve the death of loved ones? It means we will be transported from this earthly existence and live with the Lord forever and there will be a life without sorrow , tears, pain or sickness.... only joy will abound. When we contemplate our own death? What will we experience instead of death when Christ comes? We will experience Christ’s power and its defeat over the grave ..all our disgrace will be changed to a victorious living.. Actually we will be so glad to see Jesus Christ when he returns as He has promised to take us with Him to a place of Eternal Life where we will meet all our loved ones who have gone before ..His coming is awaited with great expectations..that the earth will be conquered when He comes this SECOND time as a Ruller, a Conqueror and King and His Peace which passes all human. understanding will prevail.HALLELUJAH
  20. Q2. (Isaiah 25:6-8) Obviously this "feast of rich food for all peoples" is a symbol of something more than just good food. What does this theme represent in Isaiah and the New Testament? The Marriage Supper of the Lamb is a magnificent future occasion. The saints down through time have wondered about it. It is alluded to in the Hebrew prophetic poetry. And it is clearly outlined in Revelation chapter 19. At a future point in holy history the ELECT will be gathered out of this present era of space and time. They will pass beyond this earthly pale to enter into the eternal realms. Afterthe judgement the saints will pass through the gates of splendor to enter the mansions of glory. Just inside they will come into the banqueting hall of the the Great King. There they will be ushered into an experience they have never had before. It will be a love feast with their Messiah. What does it promise about the Last Days? This will be a glorious consummation of this age. It is beyond the power of words to describe. The scriptures clearly indicate that our entry way into this climactic love feast will come at the consummation, that is the very close of this present evil age.
  21. Q1. (Isaiah 24) What is the reason that Yahweh will devastate the earth (24:5-6)? The people of the earth had disobeyed all the laws , violated the statutes and broken the covenant therefore Yahweh will devastate the earth. Why do we feel so threatened by this kind of prophecy? The earth will become a desolate place :all feasting and celebration will cease because of the power of curse. Why is this kind of prophecy important to forming faithful disciples who "fear the Lord"? This type of prophecy is important because it tells us what happens when we disobey God and therefore we will fear God and obey his commandants...because “”whoever keeps doing the will of God will live forever. In what way does the glitter and glory of man (1 John 2:15-17) contradict this kind of prophecy? The glitter and glory of man are not from God but are of the world (and the devil) which is transient; however,if this world is fading away these things dont last and have no significance and it shows one has no true love for God ..
  22. Q6 a) How do you make sense of these verses? God is saying that there are many people that go on hearing the truth and by constantly rejecting it their hearts become hardened with pride and rebellion. Therefore if by chance they do yield by hearing again, they believe but do not produce the fruit of the Holy Spirit in them as their faith is very shallow and not reached a great depth in the soul to acknowledge the TRUTH without any reservation. Ref Deut 29;2-4 Here the children of Israel did not have depth in their faith and they did not have eyes to see, ears to hear and minds to understand even after the LORD God did so many miracles and wonders in Egypt and in the wilderness. Is Isaiah called to an impossible mission? No. Even Jesus spoke to hard hearted rebellious people.. c) Why will Isaiah’s prophecy make the task worse? People will be more rebellious. They will see and not perceive. They will hear and forget. They will understand and not believe. So the gospel is only meant for receptive hearts. d) In which parable did Jesus quote this passage.? Jesus quoted this passage in the parable of THE SOWER. e) In Jesus’ parable is there any frustration in preaching the gospel? There is no frustration whatever because this is a known fact happening from time immemorial .Some hear but don’t bother, others get sidetracked by difficulties encountered in the faith and because their faith is shallow without root they deflect, while others get distracted by the lusts and pleasures of the world which choke the word of God from taking root . The harvest is plentiful we need workers to gather up the 30%, 60% and 100% fold which is coming from the seed thrown on good soil. f) Is there any hope? Yes.....The blindness will continue till the land is destroyed., till everything is deserted and the people are taken away in exile but there will remain a few and they will be the HOLY SEED which will again bring HOPE . This seems to refer to the Messiah who is from David’s seed..The promised seed of David will bring forth the Messianic King who will bring deliverance for all mankind no matter how rebellious they are ..cf a shoot shall come out of the stump of Jesse = David. God’s mercy Jesus Christ is the hope of salvation...
  23. Q5. a) What is Isaiah’s reaction to the vision? When Yahweh reveals His Holiness, Might and Glory to Isaiah he feels overwhelmed with God’s majesty and begins to realize how unworthy he was to be in the presence of such an awesome God. He admits his sinfulness and realizes he is ruined.” b ) How does God deal with Isaiah’s fear? At once God sends a seraph to clean his unclean lips and take his guilt away No one had seen God’s glory , even Moses and so Isaiah’s reaction was an expression meaning “ I am a dead man”….”Unclean lips” indicate “unclean ,unholy, unsurrendered heart” i” in other words “OUR WORDS ARE SPOKESMEN OF OUR HEART’S CONDITION” c) What question follows Isaiah’s cleansing? After Isaiah repented of his sin and God cleansed him..God had work for Isaiah.. God asked ‘Whom shall I send ? “ “ Who will go for us “? God states His need for a representative to carry out His mission. d) What is Isaiah’s response to God’s question? Isaiah willingly volunteers his services and said ‘Here I am. Send me “ e) What is your response when you hear God calling you ?
