What does it teach us about God? It teaches us that, God is LOVE, He does not revenge. What does it teach us about salvation? It teaches us that, in order to be saved we should believe in Jesus, His only begotten Son he gave for our salvation. Since "entering eternal life" is a synonym for "entering the Kingdom of God," what does this verse teach us about our destiny? It sums up God's love toward us and how we can have eternal life - Salvation in a nutshell. What does it teach us about God? His love is so great that He sacrificed his only son on our behalf. Since entering eternal life is a synonym for entering the Kingdom of God, what does this verse teach us about our destiny? 1) This verse is famous because it tells us that God love us so much that He gave His only Son to save us. 2) It teaches us about God true love for us and that He does not want to see us perish. 3) Salvation is a gift, freely given and all we have to do is believe. 4) Our destiny is everlasting life if we believe and except Jesus as our Savior. It only focus on God's love, not His Authority or power. It is a very comforting verse but still points to our responsibility in accepting Christ as our Saviour for our salvation. What does it teach us about God? What does it teach us about salvation? God is love. It also points to God as our Judge in that we will perish if we don't accept Christ as our Saviour. pickledilly Posted September 3, 2012 Report Share Posted September 3, 2012 I think this verse is so famous because it summarizes the Gospel and Yahweh's message to humanity in one sentence. It teaches us there is a God who loves. A God who loves so much that He sent His own unique beloved Son to redeem the world (implying the world cannot redeem/save itself). A God who extends the offer of eternal life instead of certain destruction to anyone who responds to His Son with faith (implying man's condition of rebellion/sin). This salvation is secured only in Jesus Christ, it is received only by believing in Him and what He has done, and it is everlasting. Since “entering eternal life” and “entering the Kingdom of God” are synonymous, we can apply anything we learn about one to the other. Both are founded in/by the love of God. Both have been secured by and can be found only in Jesus the Christ, God’s unique and only Son. Both are offered to humanity as an unearnable gift. Both can only be entered by faith. jacquie7 Posted April 26, 2013 Report Share Posted April 26, 2013 This verse very clearly speaks of the gospel; God loves the world and gave up His only Son to show it, (not that He has to prove anything to anyone). This verse speaks of God’s relationship with man and man’s salvation. It teaches us that God dearly loves His creation so much that He gave up His one and only Son to save us and deliver us from a life of sin. If we accept Jesus and the work he did on the cross, repent of our sins, He will deliver us from sin and death, and give us salvation, which can only be done by Him. It tells us he loved us so much he sent his one and only son to us that if we should believe what he taught what he died for we too would have eternal life. If we too believe, and are born anew into the faith by water and the blood, and have saving faith, worship God above all we too will have eternal life. This is our destiny. If the unmeasureable could be measured, it would be the length, depth, and height of God's love for the world: the universal Gospel--"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light" (Mt. 11:28-30). What does it teach us about God? "God loves each one of us as if there was only one of us to love" (Augustine). What does it teach us about salvation? "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). What does this verse teach us about our destiny? "In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise" (Eph. 1:13).
