Q4. Miracles and Evangelism

Recommended Posts

Have you read of miracles accompanying a great harvest of new believers on the missions fields in our day?

What place do miracles have in evangelism today -- both in your country and abroad?

Why do some denominations in our day deemphasize miracles or claim that they were only for the early church?

Why do some denominations emphasize miracles?

Which of these types of denominations tend to grow faster?

What kind of "discipling" is necessary for those who come to Christ primarily on the basis of miracles?

Miracles do happen.

Unfotunately much emphasis is laid on the miracle and also often the instrument whom God uses. Then it often happens that the person is hero-worshiped and not Christ who actually performed the miracle.

Unfortunately to draw people much stress is laid on the fact that people must come see that miracles will happen and not on come meet Christ who brings about miracles.

Many answers to the above questions have been given and I think that suffices.

The important fact is to come to Christ and have faith in Him. He indeed is a miracle-worker who performs miracles all the time. We need to open our eyes and see them.

Eg., Joni, she is still in a wheelchair. To me, a great miracle that God has used her the way He has. He has received the glory.

Nick, the gentleman who has travelled so many places (no arms etc.) A miracle, giving God the glory.

Much can be mentioned.

" John 3:16-17-  " for God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believes in him, shall not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his son to condemn the world, but that the world, through him might be saved."

Romans 10:9-10-" if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the death, you will be saved. For with the heart ones believes unto rightousness, and with the mouth confession is made into salvation. "

God worked miracles as evident in the old testament and through Jesus in the new testament, to show his power and his glory, that those seeing would believe, repent and live accordingly, believing and trusting and depending in him and one him as their God who provides and saves. We do not see those kind of miracles today, however, he still does miracle in the hearts and the lives of his believers. Jesus said unless you see miracles ,you don't believe.. Would you still believe, without seeing miracles??? That is what FAITH is... Abraham and the prophets did not live to see the promises that God gave them but they continued doing his will based on their faith, their belief that he would do what he promised. We have to do the same.

Standing on the Promises of God!! Are you standing?? Or do you give up because you don't see the miracle you ask for?? can you still follow and believe in Jesus, believe in God without a miracle??? Would you recognize a miracle when you see one?? They are evident ever where you look!!!

We live and have our being, only by the grace of God!!! We don't deserve it!!! Nothing we do can obtain it!! It is a gift, freely given by God, for he loves us so! Do you believe??? God' s GRACE is a miracle all by it self!!  Mankind is a miracle.....this world.and everything in the cosmos, the heaves... Miracles!!!! Do you understand how we exist???? God is a Mystery! His Wonders to behold!!! Belief is the key. Grace is the miracle.
