For international transfer of larger amounts, Western Union from the sender's debit card to the receiver's bank account is relatively economical. Of course, international bank transfers can be made via SWIFT, but since both the sender's and receiver's banks tend to charge about $20 to $25 USD each, I've found that other approaches are best for most purposes.
