The of Christian leaders identifying too closely with the political leaders are numerous, because would be carried away by their interests and speak or prophesied without God involved. The Christian leaders want to be popular, influential and money. The political leaders gained support of the members votes from the Christian leaders. Christians can work for good through politics without being corrupt by a quest for power through prayer and trust in God's Word.

Greed is similar to worshipping a false god, because a greed man is an evil man, they are so concerned about their money than God. Greed keep us being a true disciple of Jesus Christ because we are so much concerned about the money and property than things of God.

Leaders or parents responsible can lead those under them into sin because they are the mirror they are looking at and whatever they do they will surely followed. The great example is parents and their children at home. It's appropriate for leaders to be held to the higher moral standards than others.

What impossible situations are you facing in your life that need God's intervention? God enjoys helping the Israelites in impossible situations to increase their faith in Him and prove to them and the opponent that He is the creator of the universe both hills and valleys belong to Him. God wants to prove Gideon and his people that He is not depend on numbers in fighting any battles. I believed in God of possibilities, the impossible situations nowadays is how people are not willing or real serve God faithfully by focusing on the eternity than looking for worldly things and miracles no more focus on the words of God especially in the third world.

God send His prophet to instruct a corrupt king and an apostate people because He wants to prove to the king that He is God the creator of the universe and all things in it including humanity and nothing is impossible with Him. The purpose of the statement in verse 13 is tell the corrupt king and the people that He is in charge of the universe and that He is the real God. Ahab believes that God will do it as he knew God is capable to do everything He wishes to do. He teaches us that despite the his religion he still has faith in God, likewise us should be strong in our faith in God.

The parent's rebuked are very difficult to the children because it's restricted them to their wishes which lead to destruction unknowns to them but at the end bring everlasting joy. Likewise when God rebuked us it is so difficult for us to listen because of lack of understanding and the nature inherited but after complying we are joyful and grateful to God. God rebuked help us to be fruitful, guide us to be a good person as God wants us to be, (2 Timothy 3:16-17 and Hebrews 12:5-6). It will take us spirit of humility and love to embrace God's rebuke because of our stubbornness.

Why is it easy to miss God when his voice is gentle and quiet The author contrast the still small voice to wind, earthquake and fire because there are of different. The still voice allow us to pay close attention to get a better understanding of the message. God's voice comfort and renew Elijah because he thought he was alone and that God had abandoned him. It's easy to miss God when His voice is gentle and quiet because of distraction or depression with many things going on in our minds.

How does a sense of entitlement stand in the way of true discipleship? Seif-pity prevent us from hearing the voice of the Lord because self-pity make us think we have done this better of our ability. Self-pity and pride are related because, its make us believe that we are done well to our best knowledge and ability than others could do. The sense of entitlement stand in the way of discipleship as right or due for a reward after success jobs well done.

But what is the value of a clear break with evil? What is the danger of not making a clear break with evil? When we repent before the Lord, it is important to away old life or nature in order to inherit eternal life and share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ, (2 CORINTHIANS 5:17 and colossians 3:5-11). The value of clear break with is the eternal life and to living with our Lord Jesus Christ in His kingdom which is the kingdom of God. The danger of not making a clear break with evil is the second death and live hell of fire for unlimited life.

How was this fulfilled in Elijah's successor John the Baptist? (Mark 1:4-6). Why is this an important ministry for pastors and evangelists? Elijah ministry turning hearts back again was through his commitment, boldness and courage to challenge the idols worshippers to proof the ability of real God during the contest between himself and prophets of the baal. The end result turns the Israelites hearts to their God. It was fulfilled in his successor John the Baptist when he called out the Israelites for repentance according to the book of Mark 1:4-6. It is important ministry to the pastors and evangelists because it is the great commission commanded by our Lord and savior Jesus Christ before He left.

The significance of Elijah rebuilding the altar of Yahweh is to restore and reconcile the Israelites to their God and to show them the difference between real God and false gods. What rebuilding needs to be done in your own worship practices? The rebuilding needs in my own worship is the power to worship and pray in the spirit. Your church's? The rebuilding needs in my church is unity, love and prayers What has caused your "altar" or practice of worshipping and living before the Lord to be broken down? How will you repair it The causes in the secularism and world situation of struggling. The only thing that can repair this is the Lord Himself and through serious prayers and undiluted words of God in revival.
