  1. Prayer Available in PDF, and Kindle formats only US $2.99. Father, sometimes when help seems to be delayed, we wonder if it will ever come. Awake in us a fresh expectation of your coming and reign. And help us to persevere in trusting the promises of God until they are completely fulfilled. Thank you for your amazing promise to David fulfilled in Jesus Christ the Son of God. Thank you. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
  2. Sometimes it's good just to be quiet...and listen....There may come a time....
  3. There are times in our lives..............................."5 I wait for the LORD, my soul140 waits, and in his word I hope; Each morning as I turn on my computer and check my e-mail...I find these messages(and responses) of faith, hope, and love...and I am reminded of the Scripture (in one of Paul's epistles).."Now abideth faith, hope, love, these three...but the greatest of these is LOVE.".........TIME has always been a fascinating subject to me...sometimes an event revolves around time, and sometimes time revolves around an event...How would we experience time on earth without the sun (SON) and how would the world experience time without the world's rotation?...The apostle Paul, for some very profound reasons I believe, commented in one of his epistles that he counted everything loss...but the cross of Christ...Even today (although some have tried to change it)..the cross of Christ marks the TIME between the Old and the New...(It stands at the "center" of time)....so why am I saying all of this in the context of todays Psalm on waiting?....Because that is what everyone who is reading this is doing "right this minute".....WAITING.....The nation of Israel is waiting for their Messiah, other non-Christian religious are waiting for fulfillment of "promises" that their religions espouse, Born again Christians are waiting for their Messiah's return..... (the Alpha and the Omega) ...planned it ALL in ETERNITY and will do it....Amen... How is your “expectancy level”? How is your hope? How is your faith?...I Hope that I have answered the question with faith..(but most of all with LOVE)....
  4. Psalm 129. Afflicted but Not Defeated..very appropriate on this 9/11 anniversary.... Remembering 9/11 I would say (afflictions) have been a part of my entire life..(starting in the Garden of Eden)..No I don't mean I was there, but I was born with original sin.I was spiritually delivered when I was born again...born from above...Forgiveness Bitterness disappears when LOVE shows up...(and you let LOVE in) Carnal forgiveness (with scars) is often beyond reach in this life..Spiritual forgiveness (by HIS stripes we are healed) makes ALL things possible...the Apostle Paul had a lot to say about this..("I am crucified with Christ, therefore I no longer live, JESUS CHRIST, now lives in me")..but his body in this life still had the scars..and I might add JESUS had a reason for the nailed scarred hands and side in HIS resurrected body....In our flesh, without the righteousness of JESUS CHRIST...unforgivenss and "cursings" ,not blessings, will continue to the bitter end....Just observe politics in the United States today and around the world and especially in the Middle East, and it goes without saying that until JESUS rules on the earth or in the heart of every man/woman/child ..these "conflicts" will continue..
  5. Thank you for sharing such a faith filled testimony...Your Heavenly Papa's love shines thru...

  6. Wonderful teachings this mornings...ALWAYS a TIMELY and TIMELESS message...(all questions answered below) If you will watch this short video clip it will shed a LOT OF LIGHT on WHY this is ALWAYS TRUE when it comes to GOD's WORD..A REVELATION... The Lord commands "Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls." (Jeremiah 6:16a) Prayer Available in PDF, and Kindle formats only US $2.99. Father, thank you for your blessings. And thank you also for the stormy days that mold us and equip us for your purposes for our lives. Teach us to trust you, so that we won't grasp for blessings, but receive them from your gracious hand, in your own time. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
  7. I know that this is a little off topic..(but if you listen carefully, you will discover it's not) A song that came to me in the night...to share with someone who needs a reminder of what it means to have a Christian brother or sister (mother or father) praying for them somewhere in the world...for those with a little bluegrass in their blood...a song Erase all the miles and a prayer Available in PDF, and Kindle formats only US $2.99. and a Lord, as I look back, so much of my activity was self-effort, long on hard work and short on prayer. Help me, help us to achieve the balance of hard work with trust so that we can be co-workers with you. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen Across the miles a Christian brother, Wayne
  8. Day 7 Meditation (Psalm 126). Why doesn't God always do the stupendous miracles of which he is capable? I remember reading what JESUS said to those who followed HIM because of the miracles that HE did..and all the many verses in Holy Scripture about miracles..https://www.openbible.info/topics/jesus_miracles Why is patient obedience over the long haul necessary to both the success of our labors and our own spiritual maturity? Patience is obviously a GODLY attribute.. Most of us have heard the expression "the patience of Job"..I believe that it is our "job" (labors)if we want to mature spiritually.. Can we shout for joy now, even before we receive the answers to our prayers? What might prompt that in us? Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2 (KJV)
  9. Pastor Ralph ,

Your Endnotes are very informative..Thank you for all your research and enlightenment..

  10. I found your post very well written and rejoice that you have ETERNAL SECURITY...the best kind...Looking forward to meeting you some day in ETERNITY...

  11. Day 6 Meditation (Psalm 125). What does this psalm teach us about the security that the Lord gives us? What examples do you see of unrighteous rulers? What kind of government happens when rulers are unrighteous? What happens in the government of our hearts when we allow unrighteousness in us to continue to guide our actions and thoughts? This is one of the most difficult "Meditations" to grasp and respond to in todays "politically charged" world..so I will just go back to that part of the Psalm that has the answer to all these questions for us: (( along with Proverbs 3:5-6)..(written by Solomon, David's son,who had 500 wives??) 4 Do good,80 O LORD, to those who are good, and to those who are upright in their hearts! 5 But those who turn aside to their crooked ways the LORD will lead away with evildoers!81 Peace be upon Israel!" (Psalm 125:4-5)
  12. JanMary, a very personal story of heartbreak and recovery..that I know you share as part of GOD's saving grace and mercy toward you. Some day in heaven, (the New Jerusalem)you will rejoice over all the lives that have been affected by your testimony and witness...

  13. Hello Jerry...Since you have been on this forum for a very long time with many posts..perhaps I should learn a lesson from you and keep my comments a lot shorter??..It's just there is so much to say and this is such a good opportunity to say it..You are a little over a year older than me..I was born 08/22/42..I still work part time for Cain and Associates here in Mobile, Alabama..He was also in Algeria (civil engineer) back in the 80's..

  14. The first day of the week(Sunday)...Resurrection Day... How do you explain God’s undeserved love toward you? What undeserving person comes to mind who can be the object of your love and mercy?.....(Every "born again" believer)....A "prayerful" edit)....Everyone should be an object of our love and mercy.. Matthew 22:36-40 King James Version 36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.38 This is the first and great commandment.39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. God’s choice is not unique to Jeremiah; it is true for every believer. This is known as the doctrine of divine election. “You did not choose me,” Jesus said to his disciples, “but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit” (John 15:16). “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. . . . For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight” (Ephesians 1:3-4). This promise is for the whole church. Therefore, it is for the comfort of every Christian. God not only knows us, he chose us; and he did so long before we were ever conceived. My identity does not begin when I begin to understand myself. There is something previous to what I think about myself, and it is what God thinks of me. That means that everything I think and feel is by nature a response, and the one to whom I respond is God. I never speak the first word. I never make the first move. Jeremiah’s life didn’t start with Jeremiah. Jeremiah’s salvation didn’t start with Jeremiah. Jeremiah’s truth didn’t start with Jeremiah. He entered the world in which the essential parts of his existence were already ancient history. So do we.1Every Christian has a calling. There is a general call, of course, to believe in Jesus Christ. But everyone who believes in Christ also has a special calling to a particular sphere of obedience and ministry. Jeremiah was not just set apart for salvation, he was set apart for vocation. God had work for him to do. The prophet had a mission to accomplish and a message to deliver to his generation.https://www.biblestudytools.com/bible-study/topical-studies/jeremiah-answering-the-call.html
  15. What does this psalm teach us about trust that our Master will right our wrongs? What does it teach us about contempt for others? What group of people in your particular community most bear the brunt of prejudice? What can you do to go out of your way to show active love toward them?......on this Sabbath Day.... I believe that GOD had a purpose in what happened..(of course)...and I believe that GOD has a purpose in what is happening in America(and the world) and in every individual...We should never forget that Scripture teaches that "judgment begins with GOD's people"..before judgment of the world begins... "Although the Jews suffered greatly and faced powerful cultural pressures in a foreign land, they maintained their national spirit and religious identity. Elders supervised the Jewish communities, and Ezekiel was one of several prophets who kept alive the hope of one day returning home. This was possibly also the period when synagogues were first established, for the Jews observed the Sabbath and religious holidays, practiced circumcision, and substituted prayers for former ritual sacrifices in the Temple. The degree to which the Jews looked upon Cyrus the Great as their benefactor and a servant of their God is reflected at several points in the Hebrew Bible—e.g., at Isaiah 45:1–3, where he is actually called God’s anointed."...from Encyclopaedia Britannica Thank you very much, Pastor Ralph for including the map..Maps are very helpful in understanding where we came from and where we are going...(from Genesis to Revelation (or the Apocalypse)....According to the book of Ezra, the Persian Cyrus the Great ended the exile in 538 BCE,[15] the year after he captured Babylon.[16] The exile ended with the return under Zerubbabel the Prince (so-called because he was a descendant of the royal line of David) and Joshua the Priest (a descendant of the line of the former High Priests of the Temple) and their construction of the Second Temple in the period 521–516 BCE.[15]
  16. Why do people desert the house of God in our day? Why do so many Christians believe they can mature in Christ without the help of Christ's people? How can you pray for the peace of God’s house? What can you do to “seek the good” of God’s house? Jesus declared, "Believe me, woman, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews. ... God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth." John 4.... https://youtu.be/Jgdbx-5PDuA
  17. Mecco wrote this beautiful reminder: "Shade on a hot day is such a blessing! He makes our troubles a blessing because we reach out to Him and He answers our prayers! He puts a spirit of praise in our hearts, and It's so easy to praise Him, no matter what! When the fruit of the Spirit...love, joy, peace. patience, etc.....pops in us, isn't that like gardening in the shade? It makes the work so much easier!"
  18. I look at the cross and recall the words of OUR LORD AND SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST:(Psalm 22) My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? ... O my God, I cry in the day time, but thou hearest not; and in the night season, and am not silent. But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel. Our fathers trusted in thee: they trusted, and thou didst deliver them. "Yesterday" it was DELIVERANCE...."today"....it is KEEPER...."Tomorrow"...we will go to the house of the LORD.. This is how HE keeps us thru PRAYER:(from today's lesson) "Lord, in the midst of all the dangers we may sense around us from men, from circumstances, from disease -- in them all, Lord, we choose to put our trust in you. You are our Help, our Keeper, our Shade. Shelter us from all that comes against us, and bring us safe to our eternal home, according to your Word. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
  19. Day 1 Meditation (Psalm 120). In what ways does stress pull us away from God? I think that stress is a carnal aspect of our being. It has been my experience that the more submerged that I am in the spiritual, either thru prayer, reading Holy Scripture, or listening to sacred hymns (Psalms), or drinking in GOD's beautiful creation (like in Vincent van Gogh's paintings) the more distance between me and the stress...although, I think that some stress is helpful....because after "deliverance" we are more appreciative of the "Shalom" peace that comes.. In what ways does stress draw us closer to God? Have you given your stress points to God fully? What are you asking him to do about your stresses?....My initial reaction to stress is often to try and handle it by myself, depending upon my frame of mind, what caused the stress, etc...but thanks be to GOD and HIS SON, our LORD and Savior JESUS CHRIST, many, many times a Scripture verse will just come to me out of the blue..such as "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, with thanksgiving, make your request known to GOD......" or "HE will keep you in perfect peace who's mind is stayed on the LORD"...... SING ALONG:.....
