  1. If men wrong us, God will right us. David had confidence and faith in God. Was a fierce, dedicated warrior. He would exert the necessary violence to expand and maintain his empire, and yet had a deep sense of fairness, honor, and compassion, uncharacteristic of his time. King Saul offered his daughter in marriage to whoever coug kill Goliath and he also offered to free the family of who ever killed Goliath Saul knew God was with David that he would watch over hm Yes Saul had faith,
  2. He was angry because of what Goliaths was saying against God, he felt David was an insignificant, worthless person who had no right to speak up, especially with such bold words. One reason is that David was anointed king and he wasn’t. He could have still been harboring some jealousy because of that. Another reason is that Eliab may have felt guilty that he and the other soldiers had cowered in fear rather than boldly confronting Goliath. David was a bold person Eliab was probably jealous
  3. To serve God., he’s there to learn the basics of running a kingdom. to believe in ourselves
  4. Isaiah is to tell the people to hear but not to understand, to see but never recognize. God wants people to speak the truth His mission was to complete the hardening by speaking the truth. The people will not listen and there hearts will hardened
  5. Isaiah is overcome by his own sense of smallness, unworthiness, and sinfulness. one of the seraphs flew to him with a live coal and it touched his lips Who will I send and who will go with us "Here I am, Lord. Is it I, Lord Confusion, what will I do and say
  6. The throne is for God; that is where He rules and reigns. The altar is for us; that is where we find cleansing and purging from sin. We should never confuse the two.
  7. The vintner is the Lord and the vineyards are God’s people in Judah. The Lord expects justice and righteousness. But the people of Israel respond with violence and bloodshed. They broke God’s laws. The crop only brings wild grapes. His vision is to destroy the vineyard. He looked for good fruit He dug it up. He tore the walls down. The most important lesson we learn from the wild grapes of the Lord’s disappointing vineyard is that God is serious about sin.
  8. Jerusalem will prosper.it will be fulfilled in a spiritual sense through the coming of Christ and the foundation of God’s kingdom with God’s return. God's instruction will go forth from Jerusalem; God will judge between the nations. The people will be transformed by this teaching. Isaiah is looking into the future. Great blessings would be theirs if they would “hearken diligently unto the voice of” the Lord, “to observe and do all his commandments”
  9. His children & the nation have completely rebelled against God. They have insulted him. How they grieve the heart of the Father! Christians today also rebel against God. He accuses the Christians of their behavior being annoying and unreasonable. He wants them to repent and change their ways
  10. God had wanted David to become king along time ago when he was young The spirit of the Lord has departed from Saul and an evil spirit for the Lord tormented him. Saul couldnt be king because he disobeyed a direct command that God had given him through the prophet Samuel. Saul was rejected as king not specifically because he offered sacrifices, but because he disobeyed a direct command that God had given him through the prophet Samuel. David became a great king because he listened to God and obeyed His commands. He led the Israelites to victory against their enemies and brought them into the Promised Land.
  11. If we obey His will nothing will defect us. Listening is an important part of being receptive to God's voice. The ability to properly discriminate. Discrimination is a tool, which is a kind of wisdom. god gives decrements as a tool to believers as they walk through life.
  12. Rebellion is the action or resistance to authority, control or convention. Rebellion is as bad as witchcraft practices because there both disregarding God's clear command. arrogance is stubbornness. Rebellion goes hand and hand with arrogance against God. Rebellion will lead a person away from God. if you find rebellion in your heart towards God look at God in a different way, every heart has the seed of Rebellion
