We should have no fear of God for His love removes all fear, and if we are of God then He is within us. The fear of His judgement is replaced with His love. We should have a boldness in us for love has been perfected in us.

God is in control of all. If He were not LOVE this world as we know it would not be. Would you want a God who was not love? Love says it all. 1st Corinthians 13 Gods nature is all that. If we have fallen off the path of Christ it could be that an enemy has trespassed against us.We have forgotten about love and our sinful nature takes over. But God has not fallen from love, and He reaches us thru His ways. We thru His powers come to forgive the enemy and that brings us back on that path with Christ. To be able to forgive comes from the heart, and that takes love, for love can soften a cold heart.Remember the Law, To love your God with all your mind, your soul and heart, and to love your neighbor as yourself, it is all based on Love, and that is who God is.

The Holy Spirit is in us. We who have the Holy Spirit in us can over come the false prophets and teachers for He will show us who they are or what they are when confronted. We are of God and He has given us the Holy Spirit, as long as we remain in Him He will remain in us.Knowing that Christ is with me, H.S. is in me drives away the fear, for He is comforting.

Q1. Jesus Is God in the Flesh
C Riv replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 6. God Is Love (1 John 4:1-21)
It is important to believe that because God said it would happen and it did. We who believe that are from God and have the Holy Spirit in us. If we did not believe or those who do not believe then satan wins over them or us.God put Himself in a human body, born of a human body that is, and still kept His deity. In taking the form of mankind He wanted to reach us in a way He was not able to before, still remaining Himself, GOD. He showed His unending love for us by going to the cross bearing our sins and showed us His deity by rising from the dead intacked, all together, not decaying, One who is all powerful and mighty. God has given me a gift, that is life. Every breath, movement is a gift from God. My purpose here is for Gods` will. For me to walk a Christians` way of life is to honour and obey God.In doing that God will use me when and where He wants. Thanks be to God. -
Q1. The Angel's Announcement
C Riv replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 1. Mary, The Virgin Mother (Luke 1:26-45)
The angel said that He would be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest, and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David, and He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kiongdom there will be no end.Amen. -
Q4. Obedience and Answered Prayer
C Riv replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 5. Love in Action (1 John 3:11-24)
I am obedient to God because Christ is in my heart, the Holy Spirit helps me to surrender to God, and because I am obedient at least as well as I can be, it is not laborsome. Obedience is not work but a desire within to do right, so no I do not believe that I earn Gods` favor, that is a blessing He bestows upon me for being obedient. God knows all and sees all and when we are obedient it pleases Him and our prayers are answered. Some times the way we like sometimes not for He knows what we need and when it is needed and what we WANT. He knows what is important for us. -
Q3. Love for the Brothers
C Riv replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 5. Love in Action (1 John 3:11-24)
To lay down your life for your brothers` means giving up some of your time, and your possessions. To help the widows and orphans and all else who are in need. It could be food or meals put on, time shared with them, a listening ear, and prayer time. A few good ways to get to know others from the congregation are: having meals at the church, even better having meals at families homes, small groups, calling one another to check on them to see how they are, offering rides and assistance to those who need it. -
Q2. Anger, Hatred, and Murder
C Riv replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 5. Love in Action (1 John 3:11-24)
I would say that anger follows the action that some how has hurt us which if not given to God will turn to hatred. We ourselves are of a sinful nature and without Christ in our hearts we can grow empty hearted and cold.Eventually anger festers and it becomes hatred which in time it festers also and leads to murder.Again if we keep Christ out of our hearts satan loves that because that gives him a foot hold, and that is all he needs. To get rid of stored up anger we have to surrender to God, then we can humble ourselves before Him. Only with the anointing, and the blessing of the Holy Spirit can we get rid of anger, and hatred. We turn all our issues to Christ and He will give us what we need to over come what lays on our hearts. It can be hard but have faith and believe in Him, He will deliver you.The more we surrender to Him the more He reveals our wrongs to us and gives us the strength and courage to hand it over to Him. Only with Christ can we love those who have offended us, we can not do this on our own. -
Q1. The Spirit of Murder
C Riv replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 5. Love in Action (1 John 3:11-24)
Cain resented Abel for Abel stood for what was right.Abel walked upright living a righteous life. In living this way Cains way of living which was not righteous showed.Cain killed Abel because Abels works were righteous and his own were evil. Abels` own brother hated him because Abel walked with God and Cain did not. The same is with the world, those who walk with God the world hates, for it shows them where they are wrong since they "THE WORLD" do not walk with God. -
Q5. Sin and Righteousness
C Riv replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 4. Sin Is Lawlessness (1 John 2:28-3:10)
Those who practice righteousness will be known by God as His Children, but believers who do not practice righteousness and decide to practice sinful ways will not be known as children of God.They were denying the doctrine of Christ yet claiming to know Him. They were claiming to have secret knowledge of the truth that led to salvation, known as GNOSTICISM. -
Q4. God's Seed and Habitual Sin
C Riv replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 4. Sin Is Lawlessness (1 John 2:28-3:10)
We who have God in us do not commit habitual sin. It would be wrong to assume that once we are a Christian that we are sinless. We do strive to do better but we are of a sinful nature. Since we walk with Christ then the sins that we would have committed are driven away.It is our way then to aim, to try, to do the best we can, to allow the Holy Spirit in us to change us so we can be more like Christ. MORE OF CHRIST LESS OF ME!Since we are Gods` children,He corrects us, lets us know when we are doing wrong. We do have to listen, be attentive. God is always here, He does talk to us in one way or another. We were set free thru Christ and the Holy Spirit is in us to help us,to keep us from doing wrong, to guide us teach us for this is Christ living in us. The more we walk with Him the more we change. Each day, each step gets easier, not to say there are not bad days, but the Holy Spirit is there to help. Thanks be to God. ) -
If one has no respect or fear of the law, then their attitude is that they believe they are above the law. With that attitude their actions speak for themselves. For one to live without the law, "THE ROYAL LAW" one is living without love, and to live with no love their heart would be cold, they would be open to all earthly desires which we know come from satan thus living in sin. Matthew 22 vs 37-40 tells us " You must love your God with all your heart all your soul and all your mind," this is the first and greatest commandment, and the second is like unto it,"Love your neighbor as yourself" on these two hang all the law and prophets. Without LOVE one will have lawlessness.

Q2. The Purifying Hope
C Riv replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 4. Sin Is Lawlessness (1 John 2:28-3:10)
We are Gods` children so we want to do right. We want to be strong and courageous in the face of Christ. As children of God it is our desire to please Him because we have the HS in us. We would like to hear those words:" Well done My faithful servants".As children of God our life is to become more like Christ and one day see Him face to face, to be with Him for ever,so we aim to purify ourselves the best we can. Doing all this is pleasing to God but it is only by His grace that we receive everlasting life not our works. -
Q1. Children of God
C Riv replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 4. Sin Is Lawlessness (1 John 2:28-3:10)
A child of God is one who has believed and accepted Christ for who He is and all He has done. It is spiritual and they allow the Holy Spirit to grow and work in them. This new birth is that the old me dies and the new me grows and lives with Christ in the lead. As the HS grows within the HS grows stronger and our lives, our hearts change. We become more loving in all ways. Only Christ in us can make this change, we cannot do this on our own. -
Q4. Abiding in Jesus
C Riv replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 3. Antichrists, Anointing, and Abiding (1 John 2:18-27)
To endure what might come ones way while staying in Christ and still push forward in Jesus. The Apostles are great examples of ones who abided in Christ. They are those who stand up for the truth, spread the truth of Christ and take the consequences that come with that. They live Gods Word. Christians who do not abide in Christ will not mature in Him. They could fall short of the truth thus becoming followers of false teachings. -

Q3. Witness of the Spirit
C Riv replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 3. Antichrists, Anointing, and Abiding (1 John 2:18-27)
The Holy Spirit guides me on the path that God wants for me. I know what is right and wrong but the Spirit is here inside me to guide me where I might go astray. He brings to my attention thru scripture, fellow christians, prayer or what ever means, the subjects that I might have just pushed off to the side lying to myself that they are of no matter, but the Spirit shows me the truth thus correcting me.Jesus teachings can be summed up in one word, LOVE. If I show love, live love then I am obeying the teachings of Christ and living out the Royal Law. Matthew 22 vs 37-40. -
Q2. The Anointing
C Riv replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 3. Antichrists, Anointing, and Abiding (1 John 2:18-27)
The anointing is like a blanket put over or around you that is a protection. So we have the scriptures to teach us and The Holy One has given us The Holy Spirit to guide us, direct us, to communicate to us. Jesus says,(If anyone has an ear let him hear.) Rev. 13 vs 9 and in Rev. chapters 2,3,He says:{ He who has an ear let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.)Yes I believe that all christians have been given this anointing, without the anointing we would be helpless and we to would fall into the grasp of the antichrist. -
Q1. Antichrists
C Riv replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 3. Antichrists, Anointing, and Abiding (1 John 2:18-27)
The antichrists that John is speaking of here are those who deny the truth of Jesus, those seeking to take the place of Jesus. They are the false teachers that John was talking about. The difference between the antichrists and the antichrist is that the antichrist is satan, and the antichrists are those who follow him because they are denying Christ, and in denying Christ then one is calling God a liar. We see the spirit of the antichrist at work in our day : 1) THRU ALL THE FALSE RELIGIONS 2)SAYING THE BIBLE IS NOT WHAT IT CLAIMS these are only 2 areas and in them we see where the spirit of satan grows. Drugs, alcohol, abuse, sex, suiside, the list then can go on as those get broken down. Without true doctrine and guidence we would be lost.Satan feeds on each one of those. Satan is like a sore that keeps festering and will not go away unless one finds the truth and then surrenders to it, meaning Christ. Thank you God for Your unending love! -
Q4. Examples of Worldliness
C Riv replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 2. Don't Love the World (1 John 2:7-17)
They are 1) **** of the flesh 2)**** of the eyes 3) and the pride of life. We were born into sin and unless we go to Christ each day it would be easy to over look these sins. They would just become part of us.If they were to become a way of life then that would be because we closed Christ out. Worldliness is harmful as it becomes a way of living of wanting more, living for oneself which in turn is less and less of God. You can`t serve two and our God is a jealous God. If you are living with those three particular sins you are definently walking with satan. That would make the world a place of havic, bringing no right or wrong to our children or grandchildren. There is still Christianity in the world today but it is slipping. The Lords prayer has been taken out of the school system, teachings of Christ are gone out of the schools, and in place other religions and cults and science have been put in place of them. Worldliness is very harmful to the future! -
Q3. Don't Love the World
C Riv replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 2. Don't Love the World (1 John 2:7-17)
The world is physical pleasure, craving for what we see, and pride in our achievements and posessions. The love of the world is deception of Gods` love. The greed, unsatified cravings desires of the world keep us fom loving God. -
Q2. Children, Young Men, Fathers
C Riv replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 2. Don't Love the World (1 John 2:7-17)
We all need encouragement from time to time and it is nice to hear it. John tells them all that they have God in their hearts and that they have won the battle with the evil one. Have you ever been told that? I have been told that, perhaps in some different words but what a feeling, an up lifting, it brings to you and yet it makes you feel humble at the same time! Praise be to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ!
