  1. Wow if God is for us then all who are against us have already failed. No one, angel or person can defeat God. They are power less against Him. Our enimies are those who are against God. God gave His only Son for us, in doing that what less would He not give to us. It humbles me for I am not worthy of His goodness, but it makes me feel truly loved. For His actions it gives great meaning to the word Hope. It helps me to act loving and caring, being more patient in all things and especially waiting upon His Word. We are so undeserving of His gifts, but still He gives them to us graciously, we do not earn any gifts but only thru His mercy can we get them. We all fall short of the Glory of Christ but His love is so great for us we cannot even comprehend it all. Praise be to Thee oh Christ.
  2. It means that we who are called to Him will try to take on His ways, we will try to be more like Him in all that we say and do. We give up our way of living, surrender it to God. Listen to God and allow Him to change us, in the way we think, talk, act. God knows all, He knew before we did that we would be His followers. Jesus was first, He made the way for us and all who follow it is of free mind and will. We who do follow are partakers in all with Christ, the suffering as well as the good.

  4. The promise is that God is with us no matter what or where we are.It means that whether it is good or bad all will be worked together for the good of Gods work in us, who love God and who are called according to His purpose. We have to love God, and be called by Him. It gives me hope that no matter what is going on in my life right now, that God is in control and all is for a reason and His purpose.
  5. To stay strong to presevere in faith can be hard at times due to our weaknesses. You may not see the Lord working in you or around you, or your prayers may not be answered the way you hoped for, but that is why we must preservere, so we do not slip away from the Truth. All is done in Gods time and His way, we may not understand His ways or His timing, but He knows best. Our fellowship is important as we draw the strength from one another,we learn from each other, the love of Christ is even stronger in numbers. We help each thru all our times, good bad, sad happy what ever the case may be. We share with each other our journey and that often helps someone else. They get to see how Christ has worked or is working in your life. In fellowship we are a church, Christs Church.
  6. This is a sin that one has thought about, basically they know it is wrong but are set on going thru with it any way. This means that one is looking God straight in the face and mocking Him. I believe that it is the weakness of the flesh, so one is giving into it and so one is falling away from God also, so it is also apostasy. I think they go hand in hand, one strays a little then satan sets in and then you start falling away from God. We understand though that this is not your every now and then sin, this is some thing much bigger. To have gone all the way with Christ, accepting Him following Him, then to turn away, is like slapping Him in the face. What an insult to God and The Holy Spirit and Christ! To have sinned back in the old testament days like idolatry was death by stoning, can you imagine what the punishment will be for apostasy?!Remember what happened to Thomas? This is why we need to meet with fellow Christians to try to prevent this from happening.God is good and we should not take that for granted!
  7. A prime motive to meet with other Christians is that we do not fall away from God. We are motivated to meet with other Christians to share our hopes, our faith, our good and bad times. We meet to give each other love and strength and to motivate one another. It is easy to get lazy, to miss church to skip out of small group gatherings to put ones own ajenda first. In doing that one is letting the world slip into their lives. They soon become all gathered up in their own life soon forgetting the will of God.We can pray for them, phone them, go and visit them incourage them to come out to church and small groups. Reach out to them.
  8. I believe that the veil separated us from God. Only the High Priest could go beyound the veil. The importance of the veil being wripped in two shows that that the old way is finished. Jesus has made a way for us into the Most Holy of all places. The people back then did not have access to God on their own, they had to go to the priest and they could go further. Now we can come to God thru Christ in pray. We get to go beyond the curtain because Jesus is there for us to take our prayers to God. It is not once a year but can be a continuous relationship with God.It can be any time or any where, very much alive.
  9. When Christ comes we will see Him in all His power splender and glory! The suffering creation will be no more but be of new. Our mortal bodies will be no more we will be given new heavenly bodies and we will be risen up to be at the side of Christ. Our spirits will unite with Christ.
  10. The blood of animals was only an image, a symbolic motive not able to purify us of our sin, but it acted as a reminder to us of our sin. Until Christ came there was no purification of sin, so I think when the sacrifices of animals took place God forgave them but they were not cleansed of the sins, God dealt with sin first hand back then. I think that when Jesus died He also purified those souls of long ago that were also followers of God. I am not sure but just some thought.
  11. Christs first coming was to save us from our sin. His second coming is to take us believers to heaven and to lay judgement on the world. I believe the Jews were exspecting a King who would lead them into victory over their enemies, and are still waiting for His first coming. All that the New Testaments talk about are right there in Isaiah 53. The Suffering Servant is Christ in His first and His second coming. The book of Isaiah was written many centuries before Christ, God knew then that man would reject Him but His love for us is so great He went thru with His plan any way! How awesome is He! PRAISE GOD!
  12. I counted seven times of being refered to as children of God. We received the Spirit of adoption, we are joint heirs of Christ, we will suffer but also be glorified together with Christ. We will join Christ in glory on His day.
  13. A person who has lost hope could be losing their faith, as we know it takes faith to have hope. The question looks like it is refering to one who has NO hope, so this person would be living a life of the world then, not caring about the final out come of ones actions, believing this is all there is. Then there are the ones who still believe in God but have lost hope, so they wander around in despair. They know that there is something bigger and better but for some reason their prayers may not have been answered or something tragic may have happened. A person who has hope usually has put Christ in front of oneself. They are uplifted and see the good in life and people. They believe that God has a plan and they wait upon Him patiently. We believe in the second coming and that there is eternal life for us, only thru the grace of God and acceptance of Christ. We should be motivated to Gods will, His work, for we are not here for ourselves but for God. We all have been given a gift or maybe gifts and we are to use them correctly to help, guide, teach, love, care and so on for others. Of course it is not these wortks that get us into heaven but when you are a follower of Christ you just want to do what ever you can, this would be the Holy Spirit working in you.
  14. The Spirit prays for us for we may not know how to pray, so when the Spirit is praying for us the one who searches our hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is. They all intertwine with one another. They are the same. If someone is taking the Holy Spirit for granted it could be that they really do not know the Lord. This is something one has to believe in. You cannot see it or hear it, so that could make it hard to understand His ministry to and thru us. In John 20 vs 29 Jesus said to him, "Thomas because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe." In John 14 vs 16 Jesus tells us that the Father will send the Helper that He may abide in us for ever, but in vs 17 He tells us that the world cannot receive Him because they cannot see Him or know Him but because we know Him,He will dwell in us.
  15. Jesus was sent by the Father as a sacrifice for us, His life on earth was chosen and He lived it out according to Gods will. We suffer since we chose to be disobedient to God. Creation seems to be suffering because it was given to man, so for a time we are in charge and I do not think we are doing all the great with it. Suffering decay and death will end when The Lord returns and we all answer to Him. Of course there is good to look forward to. We may not be sinless or doing great with creation but we have Gods Word, Hope, love, His mercy and His grace. We have all His blessings our families, friends and we have our lives to live. Being a live is good, it is what we do with it, how we spend the time we are given, be still for a bit and see what beauty is around you. You may see someone surrender to God, you may be a part of something good and never know it just thru prayer, oh and there is always looking forward to the time our Lord returns. Praise and glory belongs to our Lord Amen!
  16. Jesus surpasses all laws. He is The Man Christ Jesus. He gave Himself for ALL! You can only get salvation from one God, and the only way to Him is thru Jesus. Jesus understands us perfectly and represents us at the right hand of God the Father. Jesus gave Himself freely for our sins dying on that cross, shedding His blood which in turn He is held in ransom for our sins, because without Him we would not be free of our sins or have the gift of eternal life.
  17. Jesus is spotless, pure, He is God, He can cleanse our internal where animal sacrifices were just symbolic, they already lived and served their purpose. When they died they remained dead, as for Jesus, He rose from the dead, He is all power. Jesus can cleanse our minds and souls, putting your hope in something dead is wrong, useless.
  18. Redemption means to pay back, to recover. We were redeemed from our sins. Jesus was the price for our redemption. Our redemption is eternal.
  19. They were symbolic unable to reconcile themselves to God. If you have a guilty conscience then you are holding in sin of some kind. To have an intimate relationship with God you have to come clean, repent of all sin and surrender to Him. We have to hold Jesus up high of course that means you have accepted Christ, so with Christ as our saviour we can come boldly.
  20. Well once a year the high priest would go into the tabernacle with animal blood for the peoples sins, for their IGNORANCE meaning not being aware of, so for those sins I think there was forgivness, but for intentional sin and acts I do not think so. I do not think that if one intentionally sins and rebells continuously against God that there is forgiveness. We are given the chance to repent and reform our ways but to intentionally keep putting Christ to the cross I do not think so. We need to repent earnestly, accept Christ and believe in Him and walk with Him.
  21. The old covenant failed due to our sinful nature. The pimary promises of the new covenant are: 1) laws will be in our minds and written on our hearts, 2)we will all know Him from the least to the greatest.
  22. Jesus is above all humans and angels. He is all supremacy. He gave Himself as a sacrifice for all of us and our sins. His sacrifice is a one time happening, He opened a way into the high courts for us where He acts as mediator for us when we come to Him, not like in Arons time. Thru His covenant we are given a chance to live righteously and receive life everlasting. Only thru the Fathers grace and mercy and His love is this possible.
  23. Abba is the Aramic word for Father. When we accepted Christ we became sons of God. We were adopted thru Christ and thus are given all that Jesus is given. To refer to God as our Dad or Father shows that we acknowledge Him, that we are from Him that we belong to Him. Without this personal guarantee, promise, we live a life of uncertainty, no hope.To recieve this assurance, promise, we need to accept Christ beleive in Him and follow Him.
  24. When we have accepted Christ the Holy Spirit comes and resides in us because we ask Him to. The Spirit helps us acknowledge our shame and we become gangrenous. If we could see this I think it would be like watching all the old bones and tissue disappear and one get all new. You would likely have a glow about you,on the other hand you can see someone change their ways, all is dead or dying, this is a wonderful thing to see, Christ at work! In your daily activity, your coming and going, your speech, your actions how you conduct yourself is actual practice. Being led by the Spirit is listening to your heart, your conscience, doing what is pleasing to God, knowing the difference between the Spirit and your own agenda and will. When you surrender to Christ you are putting away all the old ways and the Spirit moves in to lead you. I beive it is 100% of me and nothing less of 100% of the Holy Spirit, because God said we could not out give Him.
  25. [ No we do not have to sin. No we are not compelled or forced to sin. I beleive it is possible not to sin for a few hours if one really works hard at it, but Jesus said even if we think it then it is a sin. I think we would have to be perfect not to sin, I am not saying we intentionally sin, but we do fall short of Christ. I get my strength and attitude from the scriptures. DEFEATIST means : one who too readily accepts defeat.: So no, if one is giving in to sin so soon it does not come from scripture, it is because one is weak and is not totally walking with Christ. 1st John 4 vs 4 " You are of God, little children, and have over com them, because He who is in you is greater then he who is in the world." Because of Jesus we can over come sin, it is not easy but we can do it with Christ.
