  1. The early Roman church had to face extreme conditions, death, fear being abused and taken away from loved ones. Conditions still exist within this world to day for many. I live in an area of comfort and freedom but not all of the blood bought church enjoy this status. It is beholden of us to remember our fellow brothers and sisters who are in peril. Thankfully they and us can be assured that nothing can conquer us while we are in Christ Jesus, what an assurance. Blessed assurance Jesus is mine Oh! what a foretaste of Glory divine Thank you Lord for saving me
  2. How awful it must have been to be so close to freedom, life and the world has this attraction, many people fall into the lures of this life, they find it attractive. How sad it must be to have a loved one so far towards freedom just to lose them because they yearned for the old way. Is this not the story of this life we are in, so many refuse to seek, so many refuse to knock..so many. Almost Persuaded (1) "Almost persuaded" now to believe; "Almost persuaded" Christ to receive: Seems now some soul will say, "Go, Spirit, go Thy way; Some more convenient day On Thee I'll call." (2) "Almost persuaded," come, come today; "Almost persuaded," turn not away: Jesus invites you here, Angels are lingering near, Prayers rise from hearts so dear, O wanderer, come. (3) "Almost persuaded," harvest is past! "Almost persuaded," doom comes at last! "Almost" cannot avail, "Almost" is but to fail! Sad, sad, that bitter wail, "Almost," but lost! In Acts 26:28, King Agrippa tells Paul, " Do you think that in such a short time you can persuade me to be a Christian?" (NIV) The composition, "Almost Persuaded" has been doing just that with many souls.
  3. It is the most wonderfula assurance to know that Gos cannot lie. He tells us that He will go before us, taking care of us, helping us overcome. Enemies come in many shapes and forms, mostly from those who pretend to be our friends, our Lord suffered from those who pretended to be with Him. Most wounds are caused to us by those who are close. In many cases it teaches one to be more alert, thankful for our walk in the Lord, we know we are in great company because we have a promise, from the Lord that He will never leave us or forsake us. That makes me so very happy. Thank you Lord for saving me
  4. Why did Lot and his family hesitate? They had long lost thier reliance on God living where they did seeing what they saw had to have a very negitive effect on them. They hesitated because they where going into the unknown without a firm confidence in God. Have you ever hesitated when you should have been fleeing a danger? Yes, I have had those times, but the master has used those times to strengthen me and to show me H e knows what is best for me. What is the lesson for us? To walk by faith and not by sight, our Father has it all in hand and it is for our good
  5. (Romans 8:29) What does it mean to "be conformed to the likeness of his Son"? In all things to be as Jesus, in attitude, grace and forgiveness. Always doing the Fathers business, to be Christ like, a reflection of the Lord as we walk tgis life. To let others see Christ in us. Have we not come under adoption by the Father by the Son and His crosswork, what a pleasure what a revelation, me a mere tramp has become a son of the Most High God and to be considered worthy throught Jesus Christ my Saviour to become a son of God. John 1: 12 Thank you Lord for saving me.
  6. Having read the reply from magnus I agree with him totally, homosexuality is a sin like all sins, I have worked with people who have committed murder and within prision they have repented and asked our Savior for forgivness. Unlike homesexuals, they do not continue, they leave the sin behind. Why should the continuance of such a sin be tolerated, how can main stream churches permit active homosexuals to minister Gods word of truth. As we walk in our Lord Jesus we leave the old amn and the habits behind us, we dont continue the practice of sin. I am not shocked that the society we live in today has changed laws and teachings to give a normal glace to homosexuality. Sin no matter the glace or the spin is sin, homosexuality is a sin, we have a duty to preach the gospel in all its truth and stand firm for the truth, love the sinner and hate the sin, I feel strong about this because this sin is being sold to us a normal, a self pity sin, but is gross and it should not be shown as normal in any shape or form.
  7. God my Father is working in my life no matter what comes along He has shown to me that every thing works for good and for His glory. What a blessed assurance that we as sinners saved by grace are in Gods plan. Blessed assurance Jesus is mine oh! what a fore taste of glory devine. Thank you Lord for saving me.
  8. Only our great God and Father could create within us such excitement, we are waiting to rid ourselves of this body that has been shapen in sin, a body that was borne to die. We wait to inherit a body that cannot die or yield to corruption, we shall be like Him. And with Him, no more sickness, no more sad goodbyes, no more tears. Wow! what a Saviour. There's a land that is fairer than day And by faith we can see it afar And the father waits over the way To prepare us a dwelling place there. In the sweet by and by We shall meet on that beautiful shore In the sweet by and by We shall meet on that beautiful shore. To our bountiful father above We will offer our tribute of praise For the glorious gift of his love And the blessings that hallow our days. In the sweet by and by We shall meet on that beautiful shore In the sweet by and by We shall meet on that beautiful shore. In the sweet by and by We shall meet on that beautiful shore In the sweet by and by We shall meet on that beautiful shore Thankyou Lord for saving me.
  9. We have a new confidence with our God, throught faith in His Son Jesus we can call Him Abba Father, Oh! what boldness, Oh! what closeness, we who where afar off, strangers and haters of God, have been brought into the family by the blood of Jesus. Does it not just make you feel good, does it not make you feel so warm and secure. Abraham he had this closeness with God, this gracious assurance that it is going to be well. We can as believers stand on Holy ground thanks to the love of God that works in us. I find it so amazing that thou my God should die for me. When I walk through the doors I sensed His presence And I knew this was a place where love abounds For this is a temple the God we love abides here Oh we are standing in His presence on holy ground We are standing on holy ground For I know that there are angels all around Let us praise Jesus now For we are standing in Hos presence on holy ground In His presence I know there is joy beyond all measure And at His feet sweet peace of mind can still be found For when we have a need He is still the answer Reach out and claim it for we are standing on holy ground We are standing on holy ground For I know that there are angels all around Let us praise Jesus now For we are standing in His presence on holy ground Let us praise Jesus now For we are standing in hHis presence on holy ground
  10. A very sad sight to behold, no hope or vision, almost given up, down trodden with the events of life, in some cases friendless, having used up all the accounts that friends and family have afforded to them. Life without the Saviour is a lonely walk, a false sense of well being, then it all goes wrong and..theres no one to call on, no friend no family..alone. I have been in that place, I used my friends and family, I woke up alone one morning, alone, no hope...but Jesus found me and placed my feet upon a Rock. New faith found hope, new visions, new life, forgiveness, restoration, now never alone, never forsaken, what a Saviour. Motivation to share the wonder of my Lord to show to all that suffer within this world that Jesus offers new a beginning, He does not look at our failures but at us, nothing in my hand I bring simply to thy Cross I cling. I love living with my Saviour as my guide. Thank you Lord for saving me. Rock of Ages, cleft for me, Let me hide myself in Thee; Let the water and the blood, From Thy wounded side which flowed, Be of sin the double cure; Save from wrath and make me pure. Not the labor of my hands Can fulfill Thy law
  11. Many things are constantly calling for our attention and many temptations in various forms. Old habits cry out to gain a strong hold back into ones life. But thanks be to our Great and Caring God who keeps us in our hour of temptaion. My life in the Lord at present has an ever increasing public ministry aspect, which I must confess I love doing but the pleasure in todays society brings with it pain and a large dose of reality. But my saviour is with me each and every day blessing me in many many ways. I would not trade my graceful redeemed position in Jesus Christ for all the world. I will sing of my Redeemer He who bore my cross, my curse Came a servant, chose to suffer Lifted up and cast from earth I will sing of my Redeemer Tell about the grace I
  12. How lost we would be in this world if we did not have the hjoly spirit to guide and keep us, the holy spirit takes our childlike prayers and requests and presents them to our God in such a wonderful way that they gain meaning and greedance. How wonderful is the knowledge that we have one who cares so much for us that He intercedes for us. Yes, I do take the Holy spirit for granted and oftens times do not afford to the Holy spirit the office that it really deserves but thankfully I have a God that see my heart and understands me. Thankyou Lord for saving me.
  13. I have been fortunate in my married life I married a dedicated wife and mother who displays love and faithfulness. I believe this is how our Father in Heaven requires us to treat those we love and the children God has given to us, life is about accomadation, Jesus teaches us to love one another and treat each other with love and display the fruits of the spirit in all that we do. Life teaches us many lessons, most are hard to take, I read the honest and touching reply by BreakThrough it touched my heart, it displays life and love. Bless you BreakThrough for your reply.... touched me. It made me think of this beautiful hymn. Shackled by a heavy burden Neath a load of guilt and shame Then the hand of jesus touched me And now I am no longer the same He touched me, oh he touched me And oh the joy that floods my soul Something happened and now I know He touched me and made me whole Since I met this blessed savior Since he cleansed and made me whole I will never cease to praise him Ill shout it while eternity rolls He touched me oh he touched me And oh the joy that floods my soul Something happened and now I know He touched me and made me whole Thankyou Lord for saving me.
  14. In what ways was suffering Jesus' lot in life? Scriptures tellus that He took upon Him the form of a servant, He became as the hymn writer says the servan King, in that form he suffered more than we can understand, many have suffered in this life most horrible things, thankfully we have a Saviour who not only suffered but He also understands us when we suffer. We suffer because of sin, we suffer in a way that draws us closer to the master our dependancy increases during trails and suffering. The sinful world in which we spend this passage of time in, only knows the workings of sin and is clearly lead by sinful means and directions. We can only ever know a sinless state when we are with Him and are like Him. Come Lord Jesus Come. Thankyou Lord for saving me.
  15. Miracles are still being done today, healing and answers to many impossible situations. Our loving Father cares for our well being that miracles can and do meet needs in our lives that are outside the reach and technology of man.
  16. The idea appears to be alluded 8 times that we are referred to as sons and daughters of God. The promise made is that we will be equal to Christ, and to be Co- heirs of God with all the rights of Gods blood bought children. As redeemed children we have an assured future our eternity will be spent with Jesus and enjoy the benefits of all Gods children.
  17. What does it mean to "mortify" or "put to death" the deeds of the body by the Spirit? It is easy for a redeemed sinner to recall the place from which he/she has been plucked, the life that we had in the world has been left there, the old man and his habits have been put to death and now I am under new eternal ownership. What would it look ike to watch a person do this. I can relate this change in my life and I am aware of the extreme change that salvation has made to me, I no longer thrist after the things of this world but to all things concerning my Saviour and Lord Jesus. Its also of benefit to us when others see the change wrought in us through the Holy Spirit Reading. praying having daily fellowship with my Father, concern for lost souls and spreading the Gospel. Redeemed. how I love to proclaim it Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb Redeemed through His infinite mercy His child and forever I am Redeemed, redeemed Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb Redeemed redeemed His child and forever I am
  18. Circumcision was the completed command of God to the chosen people, as baptism by full immersion is to the born again believer in Christ Jesus. It is a joy to praise Our Heavenly Father and the Lord Jesus Christ by following His commands.
  19. I dont want to sin but I do , I work against sinning but I cant say that I have a spotless sinless life. My waking hours are aware hours that sin abounds, I walk in a newness of life I am no longer a slave to sin, thankfully through the working of the Holy Spirit I dont have a sin habit that I must satisty. Jesus my Lord has removed the need from within me to sin because of my old nature.
  20. To cut of my effections with the world and to walk in harmony with my Saviour, I need to walk with the Lord each and every moment of my life, just the mere release of my grip from His hand causes many things to occur in my life. I love my Saviour and enjoy my times with Him, I enjoy His guidance and assurance.
  21. It is not possible to be a Christian without the Holy Spirit residing within us, we would remain the empty hallow shell we were before our conversion. We could never enjoy our privilaged relationship that we have with the Father without the Holy Spirit, and the ongoing fullness that we receive from dwelling in His word and the reliance that we have in Him. Create in me a clean heart and purify me, purify me Create in me a clean heart so I may worship thee, everybody say it chorus Create in me a clean heart and purify me Create in me a clean heart so I may worship thee Say it now, say it now chorus Create in me a clean heart and purify me Create in me a clean heart so I may worship thee Cast me not away from thy presence Please don't take your Spirit from me and restore the joy of salvation so that I may worship thee Please Lord God.... chorus Create in me a clean heart and purify me Create in me a clean heart so I may worship thee Cast me not away from thy presence Please don't take your Spirit from me and restore the joy of salvation so that I may worship thee Thank you Lord for saving me.
  22. . Circumcision signifies for Abraham and and his family plus all that will follow an unbreakable covenant with God. Abraham's part of the promise was to insitute and carryout his part which required the act of circumsision, but not only to carry out the act but to make sure that his desendants were to maintain this covenant requirement. It is wonderful how our God palces with Abraham a covenant that requires him to do his part, our salvation requires us also to do our part. Scripture tells us that it is impossible for God to lie, therefore His promises are sure.
  23. To dwell on the things that the Holy Spirit has directed us to, to thing about the Way, His word and things of God, it is a pleasure to dwell on the things of God. Psalms 91:1-2: “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.'' In my sinful lost state my thoughts were never directed to the Master, I was of the world and desired worldly things, all that I desired would lead to death. The Holy spirit in now my guide, the Master takes my right hand, I am never alone and my mind is constantly set on Him. Thank you Lord for saving me.
  24. Outside Christ this would be a tough call, Our heavenly Father wants us to walk in His ways, to do what is pleasant in His sight, and all the while He knows us, He understands us. Thankfully, we have a Saviour in heaven who mediates on our behalf. I was taught along time ago to keep short accounts with God, to continually repent and seek His face in all things. Do we not have a wonderful God. Thankyou Lord for saving me.
  25. Observation and keeping of the law in its own right is good but it is impossible to keep the law in its totality, the law highlighted the sinful flaw in mans makeup, and therefore as Paul states the law condemned us already. The weakest link, is me, my sinful nature, my ability to sin. What does it take to save us, Gods wonderful grace, For in that while we were yet sinners Christ Jesus died for us. Oh What A Savior VERSE 1 Once I, I was straying in sin
