  1. The reason there was so much opposition to Brother Paul, in Thessalonica, is because the Jewish Synagogues didn't want to lose any of there finances, they had to get Paul out of there town before he got people to follow this person called Jesus. When you experience what Brother Paul experienced during his absence from everyone, nothing could change or deterr this man. I don't know what he experienced, but it was a change like nothing else. He has a mission to accomplish and nothing will stop him. When you are really convinced that what you are doing is the only way, jail, beatings and everything that comes with getting the goal accomplished is worth it all. Praise God. What a man of God. Just like Paul, it is our mandate to carry this Gospel to this world. We will be held accountable for the life we live, no matter what reaction we may face. I don't want anyones blood on my hands, because I didn't tell them about Jesus Christ. God Bless, Brother Mike McCue
  2. David knows that it is because of his past sins that has caused Absalom to turn out the way he is. Moab kills Absalom against David's orders, because he knows if he does not do it David will not kill him and this will cause a lot of controversy in the kingdom. Joab rebukes David for crying for the lost of his son, because the faithful that followed him need the uplifting, not the ones trying to bring the kingdom to Absalom. Sometimes you have to do what is right, regardless of who it may hurt. God bless Brother Mike
  3. Joab conspires to get Absalom, because he knows David wants to see his son. He justhas no way of doing it ina way that would not be so ordinary. David, loves his son and he is incline for the throne. David, is not going to show any immediate knowledge or gladness that Absalom is back, for the sake of what Absalom did to his brother. Brother Mike
  4. David cannot punish his son for the sexual assault, because of his own sins. His sins are following him to his grave and the sword will always be in Davids house. David 's consequences are going to follow him and he will be in constant turmoil, because he knew his pass sins was causing all the problems.
  5. This shows us, no one is above sin. David should have been out fighting with his men. If David had been on the roof praying instead of looking, this might have been avoided. David was taking his position as king to serious. He thought by covering it up all would be well. God never sleeps and knows and sees everything. It does not matter to God if you are a king or a common man. All people will pay for their sins. No one is above sin and under the right condition and time we could fall, just as easy. It takes a person who keeps prayer a priority that can avoid many pitfalls.
  6. Davids family had the covenant with God, even though the covenant will be fulfilled, there is going to be problems, with the family. His own son tried to divide his fathers kingdom. Most of this came as a result of his father fornication with Bethsheba. Your sins will follow you until you die. Most people think just because they get saved, all things will be chunky dory. Your sins are covered by the blood of Christ, but the reprocusions will be around for life. God Bless all, I just have to tell the Lord Jesus Christ, how much that I love Him. He has never failed me. Praise God.
  7. There are three promises to the Davidic covenant 1) a name 2) a secure homeland that will be yours this was an unreal event (1948 the nation of Israel was formed) . 3) peace. THESE PROMISES ARE UNCONDITIONAL If a condition was tied to the promise, then someone could stop the promise from being real and have a place in history, what a God, we serve. I feel His presence as I type these words, I have realized something so real in my life. When you start to talk about the Lord Jesus Christ, He always seems to show up. PRAISE GOD. Maranatha Brother Mike
  8. Nathan thought because David, was God's chosen king and that God was wanting a permanant dwelling place David, was the man. He should have prayed and asked God, who should build it but I don't think it crossed his mind. We should never make a discision out of any reason other than what the Lord would say. IT could be determinant to all involved if the wrong discision. David had all the Temple blueprints, and knew all that had to be done for the temple to be a dwelling place for God. God Bless Brother Mike
  9. I cannot hardly believe that David did not know how to transport the ark, maybe someone lost the poles that were used for handling the ark, or maybe their were not enough levites consecrated. I always wondered when they got the ark to the place where it was going to stay. How did they get it off the cart? Uzzah died for touching the Holy Ark. They had to have the poles somewhere. David was angry because Uzzah died for touching the ark, but he was mad because his celebration was a disaster. David probably went immediately and found out how the Ark of the Covenant was to be handled, God was very serious about the place he came and dwell on the mercy seat. God Bless Brother Mike
  10. David inquires from God the direction that he should take for the attack on the Philistines, because David is a man of God that totally depends upon God for his success, just as the second time he goes right back to the man with the correct answers, who is never wrong "GOD" he will not ask you to do something if He has not already prepared the way for you. All God asks of us is for instant obedience without hesitation, I can relate to this with many times if I had not obeyed God instantly, someone else would. I did not mean to vary off the subject at hand, but I can't help it sometimes, because I promised God I would testify every chance i could. Don't take for granted that because you had success one time that you can go out on your on the next time, without asking our saviour the lord Jesus Christ, to prepare the way, it works every time. Maranatha, Brother Mike Look up the Rapture is about to take place folks, make sure your wedding garment does not have a spot are wrinkle on it or you will not make in the rapture of the church.
  11. It took 15 years form the time Samuel anointed David, before he actually set up his throne in the city of David which was Jerusalem. It took so long because of the division of Israel and Judah. He had to get through the death of Saul so He was a very patience person to go through all of this. I have learned through many times to be still and stand still until God gets ready to move In his time will always be the right time and all things will go as the Lord will have it to be done. It can be no other way for it to work.
  12. You can say it was justice done For Joab slaying Abner even though it was through treachery if Abner wanted to stay alive he could have went to a city of refuge until the conflict could be resolved. This set Daviids plans back for a year or more because of a hothead, but Joab had fought many battles with David. This was a weakness of David he would turn his head when a friend did wrong. All that mattered to Joab is revenge for his brothers death. when we put on spiritual blinders and not seek God's will disaster will follow every time. God Bless Brother Mike
  13. David, even though Saul tried to kill him several times, wanted no one in that country to think anything bad about Saul, it is amazing to me how much DAVID LOVED SAUL DAVID WAS UPLIFTING HIS LIFE WHILE THE CHRONICLER WAS WROTE DOWN JUST THE OPPOSITE WHICH IS INSPIRED BY THE HOLY SPIRIRT THAT SAUL WAS EVIL AND WAS SEEKING ADVICE FROM SORCERERS. DAVID COULD NOT SEE SAUL'S HEART,BUT GOD DOES AND THAT IS HOW SAUL WILL BE JUDGED. GOD BLESS : BROTHER MIKE
  14. David knows where his strength lies, without a intervention of Gods power he does not have a chance. When he says that his heart panted like a thirsty deer, that is almost at the point of dying if he does not get a drink. I don 't know about the condition everyone else was in but David was going to get a hold of no matter the cost. This is what I call the bulldog mentality, go after and don 't turn loose. You can touch God in many ways, singing, praising Him. I have noticed when tour start talking about the greatness of God He always seems to show up. Maranatha Brother Mike

  16. Blaming someone else for the problem at hand puts the guilt on that person, the men where so mad because David left no one to guard them. Also they were out helping the Philistines. I is a very critical moment, because of the tension of everybodys family is gone and the city burned. David immediately without hesitation to find his comfort in the Lord, their can be no better place to turn when there seems to be no answers. David knows without a doubt his answer and help will come from God if he just stands still and not react out of anger. David and the whole group of men are tired and broken with grief of their lost, but although David knows that the men hats him, he seeks his comfort in the man who can. The God of man will not let his servant down, and the faith that David has in his God l, all will be well. Maranatha Brother Mike
  17. For David to stop and even listen to a woman in that time of history, shows that He is truly a man of God. David had a heart, that was one of his greatest attributes. The way that Abigail shows a what a truly courageous woman is under fire, even Though her husband was a total idiot.Nabel was a greedy man that would not listen To anyone, he was the typical know it all and it cost him his life.If he would have listen to David the Lord would have blessed him and he would have kept his life And his wife.
  18. The men were attracted to David, because they knew he was anointed of God and would soon be the King of God's people. If they stayed with him they knew David would take care of them and their families. These were all mighty warriors and believed in fighting for a cause and David has one of the best. Having mighty warriors in a vast number you will have many that will have their own ideas how to do things, I'm sure David had to get stern with many of them, even at one point they were wanting to kill David. These are the type people that warriors are. brother MikeGod Bless-I think I hear wedding music, the bride of Christ (the church) is about to be called home, and the wedding garment cannot have one spot are wrinkle on it.
  19. Saul had lost all his faith, what little he had, when Samuel anointed David as king all of the Spirit is with David now. Saul is a possessed man now grasping for anything. People under the power of the Holy. Ghost will prophesy because they are talking directly the words that the Holy Ghost is giving them to say. Just as when they came out of the upper room they were speaking in different languages as the Holy Ghost was upon them. What a day that was. Thank God. For the comforter.
  20. We often forget that the battle is the Lord's, because we can't get "self" out of the way and have faith enough that God can handle it. If you are in the will of the Lord Jesus Christ, nothing is impossible with Him. It is our unbelief, that keeps us from accepting the fact that the Lord will handle the situation. God will not be involved in anything that He does not approve of, you are not going to drag the Lord Jesus Christ into anything outside of what he has told you to do and knowing the voice of the Lord will keep you out of a lot of unnecessary hardships. Have faith in the Lord, get up and pray through everyday before you meet this world, and you will stay in the Lords will and you can rest assure the Lord Jesus will be right by your side. Thank God. Maranatha; Brother Mike
  21. WHAT IS THE COVENANT BETWEEN JONATHAN AND DAVID? No greater friendship could their have been between two men, some of the critics and sick people in the world want to say that David and Joanthan where homosexuals, nothing could be more wrong. Jonathan recognized David as the chosen king and treated him as such by giving him his armor and cloak. David declared that no harm would come to any of the decendants of the house of SAUL. David received the full recognition from Jonathan that he was the anointed one of GOD and Jonathan received the benifit and full assurance that the house hold of Saul would not be harmed. I say that the benefit of the covenant was equally shared as an assurance that it was so strong of a covnant between these two great men that no one benefited more than the other, it was as they were one person with two lives. Maranatha; BROTHER MIKE
  22. Why does Saul send David into battle? He has already tried to kill David, but can't do it, you can't kill God'd anointed, but Saul has a very bad anger problem that he brought on himself, so he sends David into battle among the worst fighting to let someone else kill him, the whole motive was to get rid of David. What was the result? It all backfired and the people knew it they were singing Saul killed his thousands and David his ten thousands, you and I both know that any king that was more noticed than himself would be very angry. It really does not matter where you put the anointed person God will make the best out of any situation. To what does the narrator attribute Davids success too? The Lord was with David, and David was full of the spirit of God, that is something you cannot fight, no matter who you are. David was a man after God's heart. That has been my goal these past two years let nothing come out of me but God. Fill me so full of the Holy Ghost that nothing else can come in. Since I started that my whole life has made a 360 degree turn around. People have to see God in you!!!!!
  23. 1 Samuel 16:14-23 From Saul’s perspective, why is David summoned to court? The young man David soon proved to be both a blessing and a threat to his royal master, Saul. On the one hand, David was the only Israelite capable of delivering Saul from spiritual oppression and Israel from an intimidating Philistine giant. From God’s perspective, what seem to be the reasons for this service in Saul’s court?Saul’s tortured state was not an accident of nature, nor was it essentially a medical condition. It was a supernatural assault by a being sent at the Lord’s command, and it was brought on by Saul’s disobedience. What things tend to prevent us from learning from God in the midst of the circumstances in which we find ourselves? Disobedience, and not taking the time to listen to that still small voice of the Holy Ghost that will always do things right. .What makes us more teachable is to listen more than talking amd listen to the voice of the Holy ghost.
