  1. Q3. Is it possible to have a pure heart? It is possible to have a pure heart. How does God bring about a pure heart? God is holy; and pure and therefore we are live and be obedient to his will and purpose in our lives. What is our part in this? We have to be totally reliant in the holy spirit; as our own ways are sinful because we were born into a sinful world. Our obedience and getting the holy spirit to get us to tyhe stage where God wants us to be. Only then we can have a pure hard.
  2. David tell God he is truly sory and repentful of his sins. He asks God to blot his sins out a sheer exercie of boldness and Faith. Faith is what we are Given, and we must use that Faith to ask for his forgiveness. Jesus died for our sins and he has bridged that gap that separates us from God because of a sinful nature we are born into. Therefore we must exercise bold faith and ask his forgiveness in Jesus name and we shall be forgiven. There is no minimisation and maximation of sin. We are sinners, in our nature of sin. We must seek God to release from sin by the blood of Jesus and set us free. In All instances Faith in the Lord must be used. Thank you Jesus for dying for me on the cross. Amen..
  3. David acknowledges his sin and prays to God that he is truly sory repenful and asks God for his forgiveness and blot his sins out from his sight. A bold request, exercising the power of faith which is what God expects. That in his grace and the Faith which he has given us, that which was given us by his heveanly father, God all so powerful and almighty wants us to exercise that Faith. There is no minimising or maximisation of sin. God understands that we were born into a sinful nature and therefore must boldly exercise faith to get his forgiveness and be trully pardoned. In our era where our lord Jesus has bridged that Gap between us and God, we must acknowledge that he is our saviour and ask for forgiveness in his name, so that our sins are forgiven by our lord God almighty. Thank you Jesus, for dying on the cross at calvary for my sins. In Jesus name ..... Amen Amen Amen.
  4. A broken and contrite heart represents or is an indication of how serious the person is. It is in our brokenness we really come to God with nothing but Faith. This a sittuation where all you have is the Faith you have in God; and that alone will God act upon. God see's through our hearts and he knows when you are broken in heart. He Knows how to mend your brokeness. Thank you Halleluiah Jesus..Thank you Holy Spirit Amen
  5. Only God; can help us become pure by becoming pure in the Heart. Dying to self and increase in More of purity and Gods; ways. Pray ceaselessly to seek his ways. Discipline the self first and you can be free..
  6. David tells God that he has sinned against him; when he sinned against Uriah, and Bathseba.. Therefore When you sin against someone you are actually sinning against God. It is that breach that must be healed at all costs. We must get get ourselves right in the eyes of GOD.. Amen
  7. The Patter for a prayer for Confession is; 1. Pleading for mercy from a rigtheous God; Whether he forgives you or not requires faith. We rely on faith that he forgives us because he love us and causes us to repent so that he will forgive. It was harder in the time of David to repent; as it required a strict procedure. whereas in our times all we have to do is say that you are sorry in Jesus Name and you shall be pardoned.
  8. God Delights in our persistency in prayer. It shows that we have faith in him and that we really mean business with him. Praise God for he is holy, awesome, all so powerful and loving. Amen
  9. Persistance in prayer is expresses our need and that is a clear demonstration of our faith. Praying through demonstrates that we are in real need. Three years ago I had a need to pay my rent which was a month 2 months overdue I prayed through until I was blessed with cheque of K7, 900.00. Praise the Lord, I was than able settle my rent. Praise God Amen.
  10. Praise God; he wants our continued dependance on him and be bold in our approach to him, like a child would to a father. Know our position in God and continue to be bold.. Amen.
  11. Spare The City Of Sodom; if there were some righteous people in that city
  12. Boldness Pleases God as it demonstrates our Faith in him.. Amen
  13. This is the kind of bargaining that doesn't demean God by cheapening his response into a transaction, but exalts God by magnifying his righteousness, by insisting that his great righteousness requires him to spare the city for even ten righteous persons. Boldness is exercising the Faith we have in God; and he delights in seeing us exercise this by being bold and declaring his might, holy and righteousness. Thank you LORD..for this revelation
  14. Firstly Abraham Declares God is Higher and Almighty, and asks to be pardonned and be allowed to speak. "Now that I have been so bold as to speak to the LORD, though I am nothing but dust and ashes...." (18:27) "May the LORD not be angry, but let me speak...." (18:30) "Now that I have been so bold as to speak to the LORD...." (18:31) "May the LORD not be angry, but let me speak just once more...." (18:32) All along he pleads that God save the City from destruction if he can find as low as ten people who are righteous. God allows us to exercise our faith in him and be bold and allows us demonstrate humility.
  15. God is righteous and Holy, and God is the highest and that there is no other God besides, God the Heavenly who is righteous. Why treat the righteous the same as the sinners. Abraham Appeals to God to spare the City ob behalf of the righteous. His Appeal is based on the Fact that there are some; who are righteous and should not be destroyed in the same way as the unrighteous.
  16. No prayer prayed in Jesus name, comes back void or unanswered. God answers prayers when the time is right. We must pray for his will to done.. In order that we move and acquire in his will we must first seek him in his word in truth and in Spirit. Thank you..Jesus Halleluiah
  17. A prayer of intercession is like putting up a case before God. A we state the case, remind God, of the specific promise relevant to the case, for God to make a decission. Knowing the Bible helps as it promptly, with the help of the Holy Spirit matures one as a person in the word. And because God is the word he knows and understands your position in himself which is the word. It is our desire to know God and knowing God is knowing the word and it is Gods will for us know him more intimately. If you know your father you know what to ask for. By Getting to point with no uncertainity. Amen.... Thank you Holy Spirit.
  18. I cannot seem to grasp what may be outside of his will when everything exists in his plan and will. A prayer will always cause God to taken an action. Amen
  19. The Lord Jesus told us to pray in his name and what we ask for will come pass. I am one that know that today's prayers are all answered but in his own time. In Gods perfect timing.
  20. Q2. What aspects of Moses' prayer of intercession should we emulate in our own prayers? Pleading to God and putting up a case before him and gain his favour and to decide depending on a petition or case put before him. Upon what logical grounds does Moses offer this bold appeal to God? Moses reasons as shown below Because the Israelites are God's own people Because of God's reputation among the heathen Because of God's promises Because of God's character Because of God's consistent mercy. What do you think it means to "pray the promises of God"? God's promises are permenant and God himself knows how to stick to his word and his promises. Because his word and promises are true, and cannot be voided. How does knowing the Bible help you get your prayers answered? Knowing the bible displays your maturity in the word. And also makes you to quote specific and relevant promises in the word which makes God arrive at a decission. How does this help our prayers be within God's will? God is an orderly God and his will for us are clearly spelt out in his promises for mankind. It is therefore in his will for us to be organised when putting up a case before him.
  21. God's Holiness and Anger cannot be understood by Human wisdom and understanding. We must first seek his guidance to know why he is angry. I can never argue with his supreme Command. He was angry with people he had delivered from slavery, and had told them that he would not tolerate anyone putting other gods before him. I guess it would be the same anger thats found in father's when you find your children being disobedient to your orders. God in his holiness cannot not tolerate sin. Sin at that was punishable by death. That is the very reason why he sent his son to die, for our sins. His son took the punishment for our sins. God owns life, therefore his actions to correct life are totally Justified.
  22. We continue to ask for Gods Forgiveness to cleanse us from all the sins we commit in our thoughts, in our words, in our actions, whatever we mau have said and done that is not of God. We repent to set ourselves right with God to allow his blessings to flow through our lives. Amen
  23. God is our provider, although it seems that we can manage, It is God that gives that ability and means to exist. Our Earnings, for instance and all we see before us. God is our source and therefore we ask him to provide for our daily needs, in all ways. Such is what he has directed and confirmed through his son Jesus Christ.
  24. When ask for his kingdom to come we are actually, anticipating that his kingdom will come as promised in the second coming of christ. His will be done on earth. Tells us that we should conduct ourselves both in prayer and dialy living according to his will. We must therefore desire to live according to his will. This can be achieved by seeking the Guidance of the holy spirit to manifest to us and breakus down to his specifications. This is the process all christians go through to achieve his perfect will in our lives.
  25. Tells to treat him with respect for his holiness, and not to treat him as we are friends or to be on par with him, as any act of doing so is a sin and disrespect for him the the Lord God Almighty. Doing right and living right are what pleases him.
