  1. It is difficult to believe in the devil and demons in our day, because since we was born until we grow to be we are now, as if we always lived together with the real things that we can see, touch, hear, taste, and smell, that the science can prove the existence and become the basis of thinking and build our mindset. We can understand the existence of the devils and demons, and what they have been doing to us by only the Scripture. Their existence helps explain the struggle humans face on earth. According to Ep. 6:12 our struggle is not against flesh and and blood, but against the rules, the authorities, the powers of this dark world, the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Their spirit are at work in those, we lived among them at one time, who are disobedient (Ep. 2:2), that is, gratifying the carvings of their sinful nature and following their desire and thought (Ep. 2:3). What we are going to deal, in essence, are two opposing kingdoms at war with one another. With all their power, we stand a chance in getting everything in the world and satisfying our worldly desire. But, although the devil made it, it was temporary and even then made me worse and worse. The kinds of things that we cannot blame on the demonic are those concerning with our temptations by God, testings of our faith by God.
  2. The kind of attitude that should underlie our corporate singing is of thankfulness. Corporate singing is designed to help us singer by a way that each of us is encouraged to bring a hymn or some other contribution from the Spirit, so that we build up one another. Corporate singing is designed to worship God by a way that it's songs are praises to God. Singing in our daily life helps me worship by a way that our songs we sing and musics we make are to God in form of praises or thankfulness
  3. The primary temptation involved with drugs and alcohol is that by using or consuming drugs and alcohol we could have a way out or an escape from our problems or unpleasant realities. However, this condition is temporary, and our problems still exist and we get other problems in our lives. Drug or alcohol can use substitute for the "high" of the Spirit in bringing us to three-fold problems, that is, leading to moral abandon, preventing our light from shining brightly in the dark, and dulling our ability to be careful and to make the most of every opportunity. Being filled with the Spirit can help us fend off the temptations of drugs and alcohol by leading us to the straight and right way, giving the right answers for our problems, and giving us power, peace, and joy that no other things can do.
  4. Paul exhorts us to make the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil that the opportunity to do the right thing, to say the appropriate thing, does not come at all times. We resist that because we may feel timid or fear and we think there will be the other opportunities. That must happen in our lives so we can be ready for the opportunity is living in light. Living in light means living in holiness, living according to His word.
  5. Christian employers should conduct themselves toward their employees with respect, faithfulness, integrity, honesty, justice. Church boards should conduct themselves toward church employees with the same attitudes as Christian employers toward their employees, no excuse. I determine a just wage by making suitable payment for the service or product the employer produces for me, not merely the one I think I can afford.
  6. The characteristics called for in a truly Christian employee, according to Ephesians 6:5-8 are respect, faithfulness, honesty, and integrity. These attitudes can help us in difficult work situations by keeping remember that we are servant of Christ and we are serving Him, and in the situation to do something illegal, immoral,or sleazy asked by our employer we must do what Christ ask first, do not compromise our conscience.
  7. The kind of behavior by fathers (or mothers, for that matter) that can embitter or cause a child to lose heart is that deliberately provoke a child's anger by badgering or turning an incident into a power game or that cause a child to react in a way that suggest acceptance of a challenge. The training and instruction of the Lord involves anything done by or out of fathers to their children in form of example, maintaining discipline, diligence, teaching, instruction, showing, giving responsibility, then supporting them as they learn to keep them faithfully in following Lord.
  8. The kind of obedience and honor appropriate for adult children to show towards their parents is of obedience, listening with harkening to or responding to a command, but that is done in the Lord, that is, that is part of our obedience to the Lord. The children must obey their parent in everything, but if they are asked by the parents to do something opposite to Lord's Word, they must obey the Lord instead of their parents. The command to obey our parents gives way to the underlying command to honor them at point the children form a new family. Of honor, it is of not cursing, of listening, of not despising, of caring, the parents, of making them glad. To honor our our parents is our obligation until death. Respect and forgiveness figure in this relationship in the way of that the great respect of the children to our parents is proofed by their forgiveness for their wrong and hurting treatment to them.
  9. Christ is our Husband as individuals in a sense that each of us is His wife. The implication of this is each of us must submit to him and therefore
  10. A husband's care for his wife's needs is just common sense in taking care of his own needs in the sense of that his wife is his own body, so that
  11. A wife should submit to her husband, because for God the husband is the head of the wife. A wife is required to submit to a husband who is not a Christian or who is a carnal Christian in everything. This means that in all area the wife is to let her husband make the final decision even if the husband leads the wife and the family to do something stupid. Submission doesn
  12. Paul warns so strongly against sexual sin, because sexual sin will give negative impact in spiritual lives and relationship with God to those who do it, and God will punish them even not let them inherit the kingdom of God. Sexuality is part our spiritual life, cannot be partitioned from our spiritual life, because through it God has been executing his plans for human beings in the earth. God is preparing a number of His people. From the beginning, God gave a command to Adam and Eve:
  13. It is so difficult to forgive those who hurt us, because we always think that the person do not deserves forgiveness. According to Ephesians 4:32, our example of forgiveness is God. In Christ God forgave us although we did not deserve it that we hurt Him very much due to our sins. According to verse 32a, kindness and compassion towards each other are the heart attitudes towards people, which are evidence of a forgiving spirit.
  14. God gave us the emotion of anger, because God wanted to show that in our old self we were unable to control anything included anger springing from the selfishness, and we were unable to accurately justify what is right and what is wrong anger. We need power springing from Holy Spirit to deal with anger. Anger can be dangerous, that it can result in sin, if we do not carefully observe our motives of it and do not control and deal with it. If we do not carefully observe our motives of anger, it can have much more to do with self than with righteousness. If we do not control and deal with anger, it can become abusive, violent, and sinful so that it can hurt the people we love. If we do not control and deal with anger, it can turn into bitterness, which is anger buried, not openly dealt with and resolved quickly, which can result in psychological stresses and abnormalities. If we do not control and deal with anger, it can
  15. The secular, non-Christian mindset of our age is rejecting the God in them and hardening their heart to follow God
  16. The old model of the minister or pastor being the main worker in the Church is wrong in the way that the church is built up. The church is built up only by the leaders, pastors and teachers, through the worship they conduct and the sermons they give, without the roles of its members because they are laities, not clergies Thus, this model hinders people in the congregation to function in a variety of ministry according to the gifts of each member. Through this model, the community is hurt, because the members cannot bring strength and depth to the ministry of the Body as a whole, so that the maturity of the Body cannot be achieved. The purpose of pastors and teachers is to equip, prepare, and train the believers so they can learn to function in their own ministry. The leaders must motivate, train, and deploy the believers in a variety of ministry according to the gifts of each member, so the maturity of the Body can be achieved.
  17. A person could have the spiritual gift of pastor or teacher without having an official position by caring for the spiritual needs of a group of people such as adult Sunday school teachers, small group leaders, house church leaders, etc. If
  18. We can stir up the gift of evangelism among members of our congregations by becoming congregations that are faithful to God, that perform the works or the duties given by God to our congregations included evangelist work. The earmarks of a person with this gift might these. Firstly, he/she has a great longing to share the Gospel to the unbelievers and they will go readily and willingly to any place for that. Secondly, through his ministry many unbelievers come to Jesus as their savior and lord. We can encourage and stimulate the Spirit-gifted evangelists in our midst by reminding them to keep doing the works of an evangelist so that the gift of God in them keeps being in flame does not become extinguished. Then is by helping them with providing or supplying what he/she needs for their ministry.
  19. If there were apostles today, they might have the kind of function as stated in Peter Wagner
  20. Patience and humility are so important to preserving unity, because without them unity cannot be achieved. We cannot avoid conflict, because we each are different in many things. By out patience and humility, we can deal with conflict and unity might prevail When we have right doctrine along with a sense of arrogance towards those who disagree with us, the reputation of Jesus Christ will be low or bad. His humility and gentleness attracted people to come to him. Because He is gentle and humble, people will find rest for their souls. Those were the qualities or characteristics that Jesus applied in his days in the earth, that were different from other religion leaders did. Those are the qualities or characteristics that He wants to be had, taught and applied by his disciples now. To be both "gentle" and to "fight the good fight of faith", we must be patient, must bear with one another in love. We must stop fighting to change a person to have the same way of thinking and behaving like us, but allow him to be the Changer.
