  1. It is in the nature of all humans to be independant and self-sufficient. The flesh says I don't need you I can take care of my self. The spirit of the Lord tells us that in ourselves we can do nothing. Our flesh is enmity with God. Our flesh rises up and says I don't need God because I can take care of my self. The whole truth of the matter is that without God we do not have the strength to get out of bed much less be self sufficient. It is only through God that we live and breath. It is God who keeps the blood flowing warm in our veins.
  2. We pray for God's will to be done in our lives and in the lives of those around us. We pray for people to be saved, healed, blessed, and delivered. We pray for the power and love of God to convict people of their wrong doing and the strength for them to change. We ask for His will to be done on earth because the earth is His and all that is with in it. We know from the prayer that Jesus prayed that this is pleasing to the Father. If we are truly seeking God's will to be done, then we will not be so consumed by our will. When we realize God's will and the importance of God's will to be done - then we will become willing vessels to be used to brilng forth the will of God and to bring Him glory.
  3. We hallow the name of our Father when we give Him praise in our prayers and in our songs and in the good things that come forth out of our mouths. Every day, and in all situations, the praises of our lips and the praises of out hearts should be coming forth. just as our lips praise Him our lips also desecrate HIM. We speak His name in vain with out giving it any thought. Too many times We say His name casually and often with malice. I hear people say "Jesus" all the time when they are not talking to Him and I say now that you have HIS attention what did you want to say. We hallow the name of our Father when we give HIM praise and thanks giving in our prayers. When we tell and confess to Him how awesome and powerful HE is He is a Great God who is all powerful, all knowing, who loves me, and cares for me and blesses me everyday.
  4. I know that Christ could come at any moment. I should be witnessing more and being more dedicated than I am. I should not be concerned with the petty issues of life, but should be consumed with telling the world He is on His way. I do that quite a bit but I need to "kick it up a notch". We should live everyday as if He is coming this day. Lord forgive us for our slackness.
  5. They which are in the lambs book of life, ye are sanctified and justified in the name of the Lord Jeus, and by the spirit of our God. Holy living is important because the Word tells us repeatedly that if you love the Lord you will keep His commandments. Peter lovest thou me......feed my sheep. Show your love don't just use lip service. If you love God you will try to please HIM.
  6. I believe Jesus looks at the church with great love and awe! He is proud of the church and pleased at her beauty. The beauty fo the church being her faithfulness and love towards HIM. She is adorned as no other bride has ever been. Nothing is too much for her.
  7. I believe this water of life is eternal life by and through the Holy Spirit. It is the free gift that Christ paid for with His life that we might live with Him for all eternity. Free for us because Christ paid the cost. The Spirit being Christ and the Bride being the church we both are extending an invitation all the time for whosoever will to come.
  8. The bride and groom are finally united! Never to be separated again! God will be with us and we will be with HIM! We will commune with HIM in a way that eye has not seen, ear has not heard, neither has it entered into the heart of man. As long as we are on this earth there will be tears and sorrow and pain, in heaven these things will not be anymore. In heaven all will be good! I guess if I had to choose, it would be no more pain because that could mean physical, emotional, mental pain. If you have no pain you would not have tears, however the thought of God actually wiping my tears away is truly awesome! It is hard to choose. I glad I don't have to! amen!
  9. I have assurance that my name is in the book of life because I have repented of my sins. The bible tells me that Jesus is the way the truth and the llife and no man cometh unto the Father by me. It also says the if I will repent he is faithful and just to forgve me of my sins. I believe what the Bible says to be truth and nothing changes that. I know I am saved and my name is in the Book of Life. Christ gave Himself on the cross so my name could be there. Thank You Jesus!!!
  10. I think it would be frightening to stand before a holy God knowing how imperfect I am and how unworthy I am to stand before HIM. Judgement says to me that HE will judge me for what I have done and haven't done. Do any of us really do enough for the Lord Jesus Christ? I think not. There is no retake in this judgement. You can't go back and undo what you have done or do what you should have done and didn't. This is the final exam. ILf you don't pass then you fail. There is no retakes. This is it. Have you stood for Christ? Did you do what you should have? Was your live pleasing to God or pleasing to self? I think this is a frightening time. What were your motive for what you did? All this will be brought to light.
  11. King of King and Lord of Lords in my life is that HE is to be the most important thing in my life. He must be #1! Everything else pales in comparison to Christ. More than husband, children, job, friends HE is the most important thing in my life. When I have a decision to make I go to HIM and ask for HIS guidance in my life. I have learned to trust HIM in most areas of my life. I still have a way to go like everyone else - We have not reached perfection yet. In areas where I dont trust HIM as I should He is gently teaching me and strengthening me. It takes great strength to trust God completely. All in all HE is my King of Kings and Lord of Lords. HE is #1
  12. I am admonished to live pure and holy to the best of my ability, to be faithful to my betrothed in all areas of my life. To spend time thinking of HIM and learning what pleases HIM and what HE is not pleased with, and to line up my life to that standard. To live by a higher standard than I might otherwise live if I were not betrothed to HIM I am encouraged in knowing that HE loves me and that HE wants the very best for me, and that HE wants me! HE will not cast me aside, but will lift me up to a place of honor and love with HIM for it is only in HIM that I can do anything.
  13. I believe that we should be salt and light. If we isolate ourselves from the world then who will tell them the good news of Jesus Christ. Every man must work out his own salvation. Everyone has different battles and different temptations. We must know our weaknesses and not get involved with things that make us weak. We come out by submerging ourselves in the word of God, by being taught and working for God and the church. We come out by abstaining from sins and things that bring us down. We do not partake of the sin but we show the love of Christ to the sinner.
  14. Worship should be from the heart directly from me directly to God. Nothing or no one matters when you are in the presence of an almighty God who loves you. Worship involves our voices our tongues our bodies our arms totally giving of ourselves to the worship of Him. Holy holy holy, Lord God Almighty, Halleujah chorus, Oh for a thousand tongues
  15. For one thing I don't think we have an understanding of everlasting. We live in a world full of temporaries. Everything around us is temporary from relationships, to jobs, to to homes, even our churches. There is very little commitment in any area of our world. People say I love you forever and in two weeks have become enemies. People say they are joining a church because they bellieve in what the church teaches and that God is leading them to be there and 6 months later you cant find them. Everlasting whether it be life or punishment is beyond our grasp. Punishment is also something that we don't seem to understand either. With all the retoric on raising children and how to and how not to punish children we have no clue just what punishment is. We think God is a great big loving God who won't do any thing to hurt His people and that is true, but those being punished are not His people because they choose not to be. As loving as God is He is also a God of wrath. We choose not to look at that side of God too much. Eternal punishment is a just punishment because God is a just God. Everything He does is just. God has given to every one the opportunity to serve Him and we make the choice. He said - I set before you life and death Choose this day...Choose life! It's our choice.
  16. The 144,000 are a people who are pure, spotless and blameless before God by the blood of the Lamb, truthful in all things, glorifying and giving praise to God, followers of Christ. As Christians we should be all of this and then some - everyday and in every way.
  17. The antichrist and false prophet both are tools of satan controlled by satan to deceive the whole world if it were possible. We that have the seal of God upon our forheads will make it - we will not be deceived. Many who are not ready will be deceived and will believe a lie and be damned. My heart cries out for the many "christians" who are not ready and who will be deceived - they are deceived already! family, jobs, friends and entertainment all come before God in so many lives. They will be deceived I'm afraid and if judgement first begins at the the house of God where will the sinner and ungodly stand. I pray that the reality of the future penetrate each and every heart and that we all make our calling and election sure. It is a sobering thought.
  18. Put simply it means we win! We overcome satan by the blood of the Lamb. Without the shed blood of Jesus Christ being applied to our lives we loose, but with that precious blood we win! The blood is everything! It is the blood of the lamb that this whole thing is all about. Jesus shed His blood for us so that we could have eternal life and satan is mad. We over come by the blood of the lamb and the word of our testimony. So often we keep our mouths shut when we should be proclaiming the glorious works of God. If we love our lives too much we will give in to temptations and we will not stand strong against the devil and his attacks. We will cower down and allow satan the upper hand. Too often we are concerned about what others will think or how it will affect our lives. We will lack boldness.
  19. The battle is and has always been the same - satan trying to obtain power and victory over God and God's people. Satan hates us because He hates God and we are made in the image of God. satan hates anything that God loves - and God LOVES US. We must always remember that Jesus Christ has won the victory over satan for us. It is in HIM that we overcome satan. God is all powerful and almighty! HE is the Victor. We too are victors and not victims. Satan only has what power God allows him to have. We must trust and obey. Stay focused on Christ - not the battle for the battles not mine but the Lords.
  20. They were brave, full of the Word, they loved not their lives unto death knowing that they have a greater reward, they were devoted. We all need all of these characteristics. I shudder to think how many christians are willing to die for Christ.
  21. The plagues and judgements to me are bitter - the destruction the fear of those on earth and even the lack of faith or love for God during that time - much as it is now. It is sweet because He has made a way of escape for HIS people. He has HIS people sealed and protected. the knowledge that when I die (however that may be) I will be in the hands of a loving and merciful God. That is sweet! It is hard to believe what you don't understand. Personally if I don't understand something I tend to put it out of mind. not think about it much
  22. These people are from every tribe, nation, and tongue. People from everywhere. They have one thing in common - they love God and they worship HIM They are a people who worship. They are not full of sin but are pure and clean before the Lord and the only way that can happen is through the blood of the lamb - that amazing grace that takes nothing and makes something, a vessel of honor set apart for the work of the Lord
  23. We learn that God is all powerful and is willing to do what ever it takes to protect His people. He will move heaven and earth if thats what it takes because He loves us that much The seal sets them apart and protects
  24. Jesus initiates the storm by opening the seal it is against those who are not saved Everything God does is just.
  25. One is not greater than the other for they are one. Father, God, Holy Spirit, 3 in 1. All are worthy of our most sincere worship. We should be loving God the Father and God the Son with all our heart, soul, mind, and spirit. When we do this - worship is easy.
