  1. Q1. (2 Corinthians 1:3-7) What kind of comfort do you receive from your faith in God? Knowing he is always in control and provides away out. From your personal daily relationship with God? How might you share the blessing of this kind of comfort with a friend or relative who is currently suffering? What words of comfort can you bring to others? You can tell what things you've been through and how God has brought you through them.
  2. Q1. (1 John 1:3-4, 6-7) Why is our fellowship with fellow Christians so often just on a surface level? We don't live totally for Christ. How can we have fellowship at a deeper level in Christ? Demonstrate our love for Christ openly. What would it take in your Christian group or your relationships with other believers to deepen your level of fellowship so it is authentically Christian? Show our love for Christ, study the Word together, discussion and living in the Truth.
  3. Q4. What does Jesus teach us about the value and worth of the Kingdom? Its worth far exceeds anything we have on earth. Why are we tempted to value it so little? We cant see Heaven,its easier to value whats in our hand. The world puts great value on possesions. What helps us to appreciate its true value? Studing the word and trusting fully in Christ Jesus. How might your testimony help a seeking friend to value the Kingdom more? They can see through us that thier is a greater reward waiting in Heaven. That possesions isn;t what makes you truely happy.
  4. Q3. (Mark 10:22) Why is poverty and self-sacrifice an inadequate religion? You must also follow Jesus become part of his family and grow in him. Why does Jesus ask the man to follow him? To learn from him. To become close with him. In what senses was this a great privilege that the man was offered? He had the oppertunity to learn from him,to become a desiple. Why did he reject the offer? He wasn;t willing to give up his earthly possesions;they were his God.
  5. Q2. (Mark 10:21) Why do you think Jesus requires the rich young ruler to divest himself of his fortune? Mon ey can lead us away from Christ. Why does this trouble us so much? Were reluctent to put put all our trust in Christ to meet our needs. If there was no other way for the man to be saved, what does that say about the spiritual dangers of wealth? Welath can become our main focus. How to keep it or gain more, thus taking our focus of the Lord.
  6. Q1. (Matthew 13:44-46) What do the Parables of the Hidden Treasure and Pearl of Great Price have in common? Both were willing to give all they had to get the treasure. What is the main point of these parables? Heaven is the great treasure. We must give our all to Jesus. He must come first. How should it affect our values? Our lives? Our values and treasures are to be stored up in Heaven not earthly things.
  7. Q4. (Luke 17:33-36) What does our passage teach about the separation and judgment that will occur when the Kingdom comes? The church will be taken out of the way. The rest will go through the tribulation. How should this affect our lives? Our testimony? Our love for our neighbors? We should live according to God's word, Tell our neighbors about Christ and hell.
  8. Q3. (Luke 17:24-32) What indications does Jesus give in this passage that he will suddenly come in his Kingdom without further warning? From the bible where Jesus talks about the sudden destruction by the flood and Sodom & Gomorrah. What are the implications of this for our attitude? For our lives? Live for God and due his work. Live righteously. We don't know what hour he will come.
  9. ] Q1. (Luke 17:21) In what sense was the Kingdom of God present in the Person and ministry of Jesus? Jesus had come and was setting up his ministry at that time,he was there on earth. In what sense is the Kingdom of God present today? In the Holly Spirit dwelling inside us.
  10. How would John's baptism have offended a Jew's national pride? To be pabtized like a gentile also they didn't sin. They considered themselfs righteous. Who welcomed John's baptism? All of the people in the area Who resisted it? The Pharisees and experts in the law Why? They believed they were righteous not sinners.
  11. What happens when people adopt the Christian faith without repenting of their known sins? They are not truely saved.You must repent and turn from your ways and became a new person in Christ Jesus. Why do people avoid repentance? They don't want to admit they are sinners. What percentage of Christians today do you think are unrepentant, unprepared in heart? 80%
  12. Q1. (Genesis 32:1-2) Why does God reveal the angel army to Jacob? To relive Jacobs fear that his brothers army of men were no threat to him because he is protected. What is the significance of the presence of this army? So that Jacob would know that God was with him and keeps his promises. Why do you think he calls the place Mahanaim (
  13. Q4. (Genesis 31:44-55) What are the terms of the Mizpah Covenant? Jacob would not marry again and that they would not harm each other. God would watch each one to make sure they kept their promise. Of what is the Mizpah monument supposed to remind Jacob and Laban? Of the covenant they have with each other.
  14. Q3. (Genesis 31:17-36) Why did Jacob and his family leave without saying good-bye to Laban? They knew Laban would stop them from leaving and God had instructed them to leave. In what sense did they "deceive" Laban? (31:20, 27). They decieved him by sneaking out without telling him. Was anything they did unjust or unrighteous? If so, how? I believe it was unjust to take Labans gods. But they were in there rights to take what was theres and leave without telling him.
  15. At what point do you think Jacob realizes that his breeding techniques are not the cause of his growing wealth? According to Deuteronomy 8:17-18, When his father-in-law keeps changing the deal and he continues to gain sheep. what danger are we in when our income and assets begin to increase? We begin to think its trough our own means and start to rely less on God.
  16. Q1. (Genesis 29) Why do you think God allows Jacob to be tricked into 14 years of labor for two wives? To teach him a lesson and built integrity and character in him. What purposes do you think God is working out through these circumstances? To carry out his plan to built this great people.
