  1. b]Q1. What kinds of circumstances in modern life can you think of where a single person acts for an entire group? In what ways are members of the group tied to this person[/b]?[ I feel that today an ambassador is acting for the US goverment and people to which ever country he is assigned to . The top representitive or a Union will speak for and represent all the members of a Union. And at times the senator of an area is representing the people of a state in congress in washington. An ambassador is tied only to the president of the US and the leaders in congress and THe house of representatives. the individual people in the US may know about him but have little ties personally with an ambassador. the top representative of a union only knows the whole picture of how the Union members feel by their voats. they are tied together by meetings and votes. Senator is more tied to his people of a certain region because any person may write and contact the senator or call and talk to a senator. Only there are red tape to get thru the people running the office but this person I think is more likely to have a good idea of what people who are in his area think and personally how they feel thru letters , emails etc...
  2. Q4. (Romans 5:9-11) What does "reconciliation" mean? Why is reconciliation with God necessary? We understand our having been saved by Jesus' death (5:10a, past tense). In what sense are we being saved (5:10b, present tense) by his life? What is Jesus doing for us in the present? reconcilation means we exchange a hostile ugly relationship for a friendly peacefull relationship. We needed to be reconciled with God because of the sin of Eve and all our sin . god hates sin and if he saw us as sinners our relationship would be hostile and angry. But Jesus reconciled us to God. He died and his blood covers us and justifies us and makes us presentablein gods' presence Now our relationship with God can be friendly and peacefull. Jesus's blood sacrifice changed our relationship with God when we accepted his gift of Salvation. God is now thru Christ's power in the Holy spirit works salvation in us now. the sanctification that works into us the character of christ in us . God is bringing us closer to the person he wishes us to be in Christ thru the working of the Holy spirit in our minds and hearts each day. In the present Jesus is up in heaven he intercedes for us constantly. intercede going to god in our behalf.
  3. \;\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\Q3. (Romans 5:6, 8) Why is it so important to embrace the truth that "Christ died for the ungodly" (5:6), that "Christ died for sinners" (5:8)? According to 5:8, did Christ die for us at our best or at our worst? How does this give us assurance against the devil's lies about us being too bad to forgive? It is important to believe in our hearts that " Christ died for us while we were still sinners " because we will not believe that we had any part in salvation other than accepting it as a free gift. It shows that the love salvation is given to us with is self-less love. cared more for the sinfull people of the world than his own life. and we cannot blow it or do anything to loose it because he died for us while we were still sinfull and bad. We may need dicipline or training but cannot loose salvation. According to 5:8 God died for us at our worst. This assures us the devils lies are untrue because we cannot be worse than we were when he died for us. Sin is sins and he died for us while we were still sinners. We are safe and he is not an indian giver he is a loveing self-less giver of salvation
  4. Q2. (Romans 5:2-5) According to this passage why should we rejoice in our sufferings and tribulations? One by one, what is the importance to our lives of: perseverance, tried character, and hope? We should rejoice in going thru sufferings and tribulations, because thru doing this going thru praying and doing what is Godly and right to get thru situations and problems is how God thru the Holy Spirit works gifts of the spirit into our lives. Once we get thru persevere at getting thru a problem and come thru ok God has worked perseverence in us. Perseverence is important in our life as it is used by God to produce character. By makeing it thru problems and trials we show that we have Godly character we will come thru and be joyfull and still be the persons God expects us to be and not get angry and upset with God. Character, becomes tried character as we continue in pressing thru problems and comeing thru victoriously. Tried characther produeces Hope in us and others Our heart is hopefull becaues we know God is with us even thru trials and hardships Hope is important as important in our lives . Hope helps us to know that we are going to go on to God after striving thru this world . That this struggle is not for nothing it is a way to procede to our Heavenly spiritual home in Heaven.
  5. Q1. (Romans 5:1-2) According to verses 1-2, faith is a key to salvation. For Abraham (4:3), what was the relationship between faith and justification? For us (5:1-2), what is the relationship between faith and justification? In your own words, just what does it mean to be justified? A. For Abraham the relationship between faith and justification was Abraham had faith in God for everything, relied on God for everything. Faith is total trust / or total reliance on something . with faith at Abrahams time of living that something was God. And God considered his reliance and trust in Him(God) and was like a judge in a court room . God considered Abraham justified / because of his faith/trst/reliance on God. B. The diffrence in our relationship of faith and justification is that God sent Jesus to die for us on Calvery, this act by Jesus of Jesus dying on the cross in our behalf satisified Gods need for Sin to be attoned for. Now we must put our trust,/faith/ completely rely on Jesus and his death on calvery and God will consider us saved by faith, righteous by faith. we cannot do a thing to make ourselves good , justified , presentable to God but we must totally rely on what Jesus did in our place to be considered saved or justified. C. In my own words to be Justified means that I must Know and love Jesus and totally rely on Jesus and his death on calvery to be my covering that when I come into the prerence of God My sins will not be noticed but Jesus' act on calvery will cover my sins and God can see me and not be put off by my sin. I will be accepted as justifed only because of Jesus.
