  1. Praise the Lord it is good to be back again. Q1. (Isaiah 6:1-8) How does a realization of God's holiness affect Isaiah? He knew he was unclean and that he was worthy to be in the presence of the Holy God. Why is Isaiah afraid? Isaiah is afraid because he can see his own sin and knows that God is a Holy God and that he is not clean. How does God make Isaiah holy? A seraphim takes a hot coal from the altar and touches his lips to burn away the uncleanness in Isaiah. What is the symbolism of the coal from the altar? A coal of fire took from the altar of God would remove the sin and the worldly things from his lips and this is the same that the Holy Spirit and fire does to those in the upper room on the day of Pentecost. We today are cleansed and drawn to Jesus by the Holy Spirit still. Now made holy -- dedicated to God -- how does Isaiah respond to God? He is a willing vessel and ready and willing to be used of God. He says to God hear I am send me. We should all be so willing and ready to work for God.
  2. Q9. (3:21) How can God receive more glory in your local congregation? He can receive more glory when we really worship and praise him in unity. He is a God of love and his love should flow through us his chosen children. He left us the commandment to love one another as he loves us. We must love and show love one to another that is how we show God we truly love him. Worship and Praise is what we are put here for. God is wonderful and glorious and is worthy of all praise honor and glory. Praise your Holy Name Jesus. How can you help this happen? By obeying the Holy Spirit in your. Do what the pastor ask you to do. Your fair share of the work. Be who God has called you to be. Read the word, study to show yourself approved unto God. Then praise him in song in word and in all your deeds. God is awesome and to talk to him and walk with him is an awesome feeling but we do not go on feelings we go on the word of God the truth that he has left for us. We are a blessed people. Psa 62:8 Trust in him at all times; [ye] people, pour out your heart before him: God [is] a refuge for us. Selah. Psa 117:1O praise the LORD, all ye nations: praise him, all ye people.
  3. Q8. (3:20) How should verse 3:20 of the doxology energize your prayers? Knowing that is and was and always will be is awesome to me. Knowing he loved me and cared enough to want to be a companion with me to talk to me walk with me and let me be his friend. That is almost to awesome to comprehend. Knowing he is able and willing to do abundantly and exceedingly above all we ask lets my prayers have no limit because there is no limit with God. How wonderful to know how much he loves and cares for us. We who are not perfect can talk with the perfect Christ and he will hear and answer our prayers. Totally awesome. What happens when we limit God by our own ability to comprehend? When he is limited it is by us for there is not limit for him. But if we chose to but a limit on him then we have set boundaries for our faith in him. We should have the faith to know he is willing to do more and able to do all. Please Lord Jesus forgive our unbelief and help us to understand that you are all powerful. How can we get past this failing? Yes the more you put your faith to the test the stronger it will grow. Try God he said to try him and see he is good. What better why to know him then to stand on his word and expect him to do more than we have ever through or dreamed of. God is glorious and wonderful just makes you want to break into the song Awesome God. So much love and so must faith for he is all we need and more.
  4. Have you ever prayed for a fellow believer that he or she might be "filled with all the fullness of God"? Yes when you see one crying out for more of God in their life, as we all should do, it is only fitting that you pray for them to be filled to the fullness of Gods power. Many times that is the only way we can make it here on this earth is to find more of God and a lot less of our self. What would you be praying for with that kind of prayer? Most of the time the person will be praying for the baptism of the Holy Ghost as is written in Acts 2 with the evidence of speaking in new tongues. This is the time that they want all of the Lord that there is to have and we should all desire that in our lives. Ask and you shall receive seek and you shall find knock and the door will be opened unto you the word says. So it is a wonderful thing to want more of Christ in your life. How does this prayer relate to Ephesians 5:27 and Colossians 1:28? Eph 5:27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. Col 1:28 Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus: We are to become the glorious church the bride of Christ and in doing this we much seek the fullness of God to be like Jesus to put on the whole armor of God to be able to stand against the things that satan will hit us with. We are to strive to be perfect, I am not saying there is a perfect person because we know the word says there is none perfect no not one but when we give it our all Christ is pleased. He gave his all for us the least we can do is live our best for him.
  5. Q6. (3:17-19) Why does Paul pray that the believers grasp the fullest extent of Christ's love for them? Because we will never truly understand the depth of the love of Christ. Who of us would go some where knowing it would end in the brutal death that our Lord went through for us. That kind of love is almost impossible to understand. Yet we know from the word that he would have done it for just one person. The walk with Jesus is a personal walk one that we love him because of who he is all that he does. He loves us because of who we are and that will never change. He hates sin but loves the sinner. Lord please let us love one another as you loved us as to told us to do. How does comprehending this love change a person's spiritual life? This love changes us to make us want to be more like Jesus. He loves with all that he was both spirit God and human man. His love is what makes us who we are in him. When we love him we love others and want to help others and be more like Jesus. That love is what makes us who we are today. Is there any end to Christ's love for a person? No there is never an end to the love for a person from Christ. But we must remember he is God and if God could not look upon the sin Jesus took on him at the cross how can Jesus stand to look on anyone of us when we are sinning. Lord help us not to hurt him more than he has already been hurt. To sin is like to say his going to the cross was for nothing. Forgive us Lord and help us to be the person you want us to be in you.
  6. Q5 (3:16-17) Why does Paul pray for strengthening of the inner man? The inner man is where the battle is most of the time. The attacks of satan come first in the mind the inner part of all of us all. How would we pray this prayer today? Today as they the attacks of the evil one is going on every moment of every day. He seeks who he may steal, kill and destroy. We need the power of the Holy Spirit to be strong in us and to pray through us to keep us going. Why does he pray that Christ dwells in the believers' hearts? The heart the one is where it is said that Christ dwells in us. We know that when we are totally sold out to Jesus, ready to give him our everything that he owns the heart the soul and the mind. Paul prays this because when you have him in your heart he has all of you. We need to not play around but live every day of our lives with him as ruler and in total control of our whole body and spirit. Isn't this already an established fact? For a Christian yes but many todays are religious and not saved by the grace of God. It seems to be the in thing since 9-11-01 that all want to say they are Christians but lets face it we need more than words we need him living in us and working through us to make it to live with him one day soon (I pray) .
  7. Q4. (1:18) Why is a revelation of "his incomparably great power for us who believe" essential to a vital faith? Without this believe we have nothing, we are nothing, and the Holy Spirit can't use us to the fullness of the glory that God has called us to become. The faith that says we serve an omnipotent and omniscient God that his power is beyond anything that this world has to offer. We know that faith without works is dead as we learned in James so we much act on our faith and live to the fullness of what Jesus Christ sent to live inside of us. The Holy Spirit was not sent to only draw us to salvation but to let us become alive in the gifts that Jesus said we will have and use to the fullest. How do you develop this faith in yourself? Read the word and believe what we read. It builds our faith and if we stand upon the word we will also act upon the word. We shall see miracle and wonders as the word of God says will follow the believers. When you see one person healed it lifts your faith and then the next time you do not just watch with wonder but stand in faith knowing it will happen. The more you do for God the stronger your faith will become in him. Step out he does not fail us and when you pray for another do not think God will not heal or move on their behalf. We are told to pray it is up to God to do the work. Our faith grows as we use it. If we let it set and do nothing it will die and become useless and easy for Satan to still from us. Stand on the word and do all it says we can do and watch the things God will get glory for. Thank you Lord for the gift of the Holy Spirit to live and work through and in us. How do you pray for it for others? I pray with faith knowing God is more than able to do the impossible. He has shown over and over again his power not only in the word but also in the life we live. When we step out in faith he will use us to the fullest for his glory and honor. Pray with faith believing it shall be done. Thank you Jesus.
  8. Q3. (1:18) What is the result in prayer and faith if believers think that God is poverty-stricken? They except the lie that we are born pour will die pour and are never expected to move ahead. The word says God owns the cattle of a thousand hills the fact is he also made and owns the hills they are on. How can anyone think that God is not more than enough for all our needs our wants and more. Some make God small and think he is not here to help us and that his love does not include our needs that are wrong the word says that he will give us the desires of our hearts. The only limit on God is what we put on him he is good and gives good to his children. Mat 7:11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? How does knowledge of a "glorious inheritance" motivate our lives? Our joy is overflowing and it is one of the greatest of hope that could and would ever be. We are richly blessed in all that we do. We have his love here on earth and his love forever more when we are with him in heaven. Our prayers? When you know that God loves you and is there to supply all your needs you pray with faith believing him to supply all that you will need and your prayers for others have more faith in them so that you do ask and believe it shall be given unto you. John 15:7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. Mat 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: How can you pray for others to glimpse this inheritance? We pray that God will open the eyes of their hearts as he has done for us. He will do for others what he has done for one. He is not a respecter of persons.Act 10:34 Then Peter opened [his] mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: What he's done for others he will do for you.
  9. Q2. (1:18) How has your Christian "hope" changed your way of living? It changed the way I look at the world the way I think about life and the way I trust in the Lord Jesus to meet all of my needs. It has removed the fear of death and let me see that it is only a step over for me to be with Jesus. What is the result of Christians with only a meager or minute hope? They have a negative attitude toward all things in their lives. There is no reason to go on living in this world and there is no hope for the one that is too come. This is so sad it makes you want to tell them they have so much to look forward too and they should not feel sorry for themselves but to look up for their redemption draws closer each day. How would you pray for hope to be borne in others? We must pray daily that they will open the eyes of their hearts and minds to let the truth come in. The meaning of loving the Lord Jesus and his love for them. Hope is what keeps us going and what makes us grow in faith and love. We must stand in the gap for those that do not have this hope praying they will find it and live in it. Jesus told us to love one another as he loves us so our love will reach out to them and lift them up if we just keep praying and telling the truth to them. God is so good and his love and mercy is what we depend upon. Lord Jesus we praise you and thank you for hope and love.
  10. Q1. (1:17-18). What do you learn from Paul's manner of prayer for the Ephesians believers? We learn just how important it is to keep each other in prayer to lift one another to be able to intercede one for another. By praying for them to grow in God we grow in God. If Christians stopped praying for people to receive a revelation of God, would people come to know God on their own? Some may come to know him if they seek him and put him first but without the prayers of others we would not receive as much from God because he does answer the prayers of his chosen ones. The Holy Spirit also revels things to us to let us know God more so it is possible that they would learn. Would God work in them at all? Faith is one thing God gives to each person. He said to all a measure of faith has been given. So he can work in them and lead them. To say that if they where not prayed for they could not make it would be limiting Gods powers. He can do all things even the impossible. Thank you Lord. How important is this kind of prayer? God answers the prayers of those that call out to him. So when we pray for others he will answer and help them. So these prayers are very important and they are necessary not just for those we are praying for but for the one that is praying we much keep our prayer life alive so that we can hear from God. He did not want us selfish and unforgiving he wants us to love one another as he loved us.
  11. Q4. (22:43) Did Jesus get "special treatment" because he was the Son of God to have angels help and strengthen him in his spiritual struggle? Yes Jesus did get special treatment in a way the same way as any of us who are joint heirs with him get the help me need from the Father. He loved his son and knew that he would need added strength that he would be able to with stand all that he was going to be put through for our sins. He was without sin and was going to take on all the sins of all those that will turn to him and be born again. What a mighty load that was and how much strength it had to take to be able to stay alive just to go onto the cross to die for us. We will never know how much it cost to see our sins upon the cross. Only Jesus and God will know and they have the forgiveness for us what a wonderful Savior. Do we get that help, too? Yes we do get that help and many times we would not make it without that help. Angels come unaware the word says we entertain them. I know many times he has sent them to help me and lift me up and encourage me and get me through trials. Thank you Lord for such great love that you have for each of us. For me a sinner saved by grace and for me the lowest of all you die I thank you now and forever I give you praise. Hallelujah
  12. Q3. (22:42) When Jesus prayed "not my will, but yours be done," was the Father pleased? Yes he was pleased he put God's will before his own therefore putting God where he belongs in first place at all times. Why is the Father not pleased when we are passive and uncaring and dispassionate in our prayers that his will be done? God has always wanted a relationship with man. He created us to be able to fellowship with him. He wants us to bring our petitions before him boldly and know that he is our God and he will hear us and answer our prayers. What is required for us to pray the prayer of submission with authenticity? Put God first the only place he will take in our lives. He wants us to be open and become a friend not just a begging pity party that will fall apart and not put our trust in him. We must except Jesus as our Lord and Savior then take all things before God asking still knowing that it is his will we need in our lives. He knows the things of the future we do not. His will is always best.
  13. Q2. (22:42) Why did Jesus pray that the Father take the cup from him? He was human as we are human and we pray many times for God to help us to get through things or even to help us to get out of them. According to Mark and Matthew, Jesus repeated this prayer three times. Why was he so intense about it? He knew the pain to come he knew that our sins would be upon him and he would be separated from God the Father for the first time ever he would not be watching over him and helping him he would be alone. None of us want to be alone. God himself saw that Adam did not need to be alone and made Eve. Being alone is not a good thing but Jesus was while he took our sins upon him. What did this mean? This means that he was willing to do the will of the Father no matter how much pain and hurt he would under go he wanted only the will of God the Father to be done. He that had known no sin became sin for us. Why was Jesus resisting the Father's will? Or was he? No he did not resist the will of the Father. He prayed not my will but the will of the Father to be done. He was willing to give all so we can have life with him and he is our way to the Father and he does make intercession for us to this moment and will until his return. Thank you Jesus for such love that you died for me. :wub
  14. Q1. (22:40-41, 45-46) Why did he ask his disciples to pray? Jesus knew what was going to happen and he knew that the temptation was at hand not just for himself but for those that followed him. He knew they needed more to withstand this temptation. What temptation did Jesus know they would be facing? They would be faced with the fact they where disciples of his and that they would need strength to stand to be faithful to what he had been teaching them. What was the content of their prayer to be? That they would not fall into temptation and that they would be strong when ask if they knew him and if they followed him. Did they actually pray this prayer diligently? No they where tired and went to sleep. How does the Lord's Prayer word this kind of prayer? Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Why do you think Jesus wanted to be alone during his own prayer? Jesus knew he was going to cry out to the Father he was going to say things to his Father that they would not understand and they did not need to hear. It would have only placed fear in their hearts if they could have known before time. As it did when they went through it all with him.
  15. Q4. (2:4) What danger is Nehemiah in? The loss of his job would have been the least her could have expected to have happen, the though that I am sure was running through his mind was that he would lose his life if he upset or displeased the king. Why does he pray quickly and silently before he answers the king? Just as us when faced with danger or the threat of life being taken from us he cried out to God for help. We all do arrow prayers like if we are about to be in a car accident there are times the only thing we have time for is the name of Jesus. But he hears and answers our plea for help. How does this quick "arrow prayer" relate to the four months of prayer he has just finished? It is the last cry to God before he knows that the king will take action. He wants to get God attention make sure it is there right that moment to move on the heart of the king. I would think we would all want to make sure God was there with us at that moment as we do when we have to face things where we have to step out in faith.
  16. Q3. (1:11) In what way does Daniel's situation compared to Esther's? Both run the risk of losing their lives to make sure that Gods people will still remain on this earth and both do it with lots of prayer and trust in God. Why does God place his people in strategic positions today in the community, in business, in the military, in government? God knows the beginning from the end of all things he places those he trust in positions so that they will be able to help others to get the word to those that don't know him. Many ministries count on those in high offices to open the doors to get bibles and themselves so they can tell others of Jesus. What responsibilities do we have to God that can cause danger to our positions and our lives? Any time we tell others about Jesus and his plan of salvation we are setting ourselves up to be persecuted even to the point of death. We must get the word out so all the world will know of Jesus and his love. No matter the danger even on here we know that their are some that come against us as we try to reach others for Jesus and still if we are called to teach this is a wonderful tool to use to get the word out and make sure all we meet knows of Jesus and his love for them.
  17. Q2. (1:7-11) What is the basis of Nehemiah's appeal? That God had promised to bring them back together if they would turn back to him. He knows that God is truth and that he will do what he said he will do. We are to stand on the same appeal to God for those that we love and want to serve God. How does he argue his case before God? There where already those that had returned to Jerusalem and they where there to serve God. He tells God the words that he spoke and that he knows they need his help. So he reminds God of the promise. What do we learn from this about intercession? We learn we do are to pray the intercessors prayer for those that we know once served God and turned from him. We are to pray for those that are not serving God now in our home our family and those we meet we are to tell them of Jesus and his love and pray they will except and become a servant of the Lord Jesus Christ. We should all prayer for our country also. So many do not take time to pray the prayer of faith to have God keep his hand upon this our dwelling place. Help us Jesus to do this more and to stand in the gap for our loved ones that don't know you.
  18. Q1. (1:1-6) Why does Nehemiah pray day and night for four months? He is heart broken for the place where his fathers are buried is being totally destroyed and he feels for the people his left behind family that are trying to return to the home land. He has it in his heart and wants to have God move for them so he does not let up with his praying. He wants God attention and is willing to keep on praying until he receives the answer from God and his help. Why does he fast and weep? Fasting has always got Gods attention. He does this to stay in before God day and night so he will be able to repent for the ones that have turned from God and done that which was wrong in the eyes of the Lord. We need to do a lot more of this now in our lives so that we can get the favor of God moving in our lives and those that we love also. Isn't that excessive? No even Paul said to pray without ceasing and he told us to do the same. We do not pray enough and when we do so many times it is bless ME help Me and give Me. Lord forgive us and help us to love others the way that Nehemiah loved his country and family. Help us Lord to learn from this man and to become as in love with others as he was to pray this way for them.
  19. Q4. (9:15-19) What was Daniel's essential prayer? Daniel was asking for forgiveness for the nation of Israel and that God would forgive them for turning from him. That God would change them for his glory and honor and let them return to their country. Which he told God is for his glory and honor to take the shame away from them. What are the various grounds of Daniel's appeal? He told him that they where his people and the country was had his name attached too it. He ask for mercy and he knew that God loves them and that he wanted what was right for them. In 19 O Lord, listen! O Lord, forgive! O Lord, hear and act! For your sake, O my God, do not delay, because your city and your people bear your Name." For his honor to show his power and mercy to all. How did God answer the prayer (see Daniel 9:20-23)? God delivered them and a remnant of people went back to Jerusalem and God received the glory and honor for this. One of my favorite verses is this. 2 Chronicles 7:14: "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land." When we do this we do will be forgiven our sin and he will heal our land. Oh Lord America needs a healing touch from you to save us from destruction. Hear our cry Lord Jesus and answer so many will turn and serve you. So they will not be lost and on their way to hell that you prepared for Satan and his angels. Please Lord Jesus heal our country.
  20. Q3. (9:5) Since Daniel is such a righteous man in his generation, why does he identify himself with the sins of his people? He is doing intercessory prayer so he takes on the sins of the people as did Jesus with us. He is not guilty of the sins but his people are and he loves them enough to intercede for them. He didn't commitment them. How does this compare to how Jesus sought forgiveness for his people? They both took on the sins of the people that did not belong to them but to all those that they are praying for. Thank you Jesus if he had not done this we would not be able to be in heaven with him. We would not be joint heirs with Jesus we would still be sin in the eyes of the Lord God Almighty. We are so blessed to be loved so much and so was those in the days of Daniel for he did not play a game of I did not do it they did and let it go on without prayers. Praise the name of our Lord Jesus who died a death he did not deserve but he did it for each one of us. If only one would except him and be saved he still would have went to the cross. Thank you Jesus for loving us so much.
  21. Q2. (9:3-4a) What is Daniel's demeanor as he prays? Daniel prayed in total humility before God he prepares himself so that God will know he is not coming before him thinking all is well with him and that he shows the love he has for the people he is praying for. How does he prepare? He has on sack cloth and ashes and show that he really needing God to answer plus he fasted which was done before the pray and that always to this day gets God's attention. Why is this so important in this case? He wanted God to know how important Israel was to him and that he wanted this done for them it is not a personal need but one for his people. In what ways might you and I prepare for intercession? Fasting is always a good way to prepare for intercession with God. He honors a fast to this day. We can take time to be alone with God to cry out and weep before him. He is worthy of our best and will except no less. Thank you Jesus.
  22. Q1. (9:1-3) What encourages Daniel to seek God for the forgiveness and restoration of Israel to its homeland? Daniel was encouraged by the bible itself he had read the book of Jeremiah and had studied this out to know that the end of the 70 years was at hand. He knew of Gods faithfulness and he stood on the word of God's prophet to believe it was the time for this to happen. What trait on Daniel's part brings this encouragement to pass? The fact that Daniel did not just do what others told him to do. Even the law did not stop him from calling on God three times a day. Daniel had put God to the test and found him faithful and true.
  23. Q4. (139:23-24) Why is this prayer of surrender to God so difficult to pray? Because it is surrender to God and telling him to search and find any thing that is not of him and to remove it from us. We want to be like Jesus but we do not want to go through all he did to reach that place. When was the first time you prayed this kind of prayer to God? I had been a Christian many years before I would pray this prayer. It is never easy or the nature of the human being to give over totally to another even if it is God and I knew that he has full control anyway but we ourselves want to keep that control or at least some of it. Is that a right way to feel in our lives. No we need to give all of us to God. What was the result? Just as I though it would be he showed me several area's in my life that I needed to clean up and work on to make sure that there was no wicked left in me. I want only the things of God in my life and I do want him to purge out anything that is not of him. Do it now Lord God and make me a better person each day I live. Can a person be a genuine disciple without praying this kind of prayer? I think they can for a while then the Lord will want that total surrenders and control that he has already but he will have it because our hearts desire it. And we want to be more like unto him. Help me Jesus to be more like you. When we ask for a closer walk with the Lord he will lead us and guide me to this point of surrender. Thank you Jesus.
  24. Q3. (139:13-16) How is an awareness of God's involvement in your prenatal development meant to encourage you? It shows me that God had his hand in my life even before I was formed in the womb of my mother. That he had already set his love upon me. It shows me that he knows me even my deepest thoughts and he cares about me and loves me still. If he had not thought that I would be a good servant he could have destroyed me then but he knew me and loved me before I was there so he will help me to make it and come out with victory in my life for him. What might this mean to a young woman carrying a child? As a mother of three children this is one of the greatest things God has ever done. He knew my child before I did. He made sure they will become special in my life as well as in the life of others. God is awesome his love reaches places a mom cannot go. To see a new baby and know it is there you have carried it and brought it into this world to praise the Lord and do things for his glory it is truly awesome. God will never let them forget he is our God and he will keep them all the days of their life. He knows what will become of them. Lord I place this again today back into your willing hands of mercy. Thank you Jesus. A young father-to-be? Why is such knowledge overwhelming to us? A father is like a mother in many ways he does not carry this child 9 months but he know this is his seed that God has let live and come to be. He knows that we are fearfully and wonderfully made. God is so good to us and I know one day they will all be serving our Lord and Savior. Thank you Jesus for your promises are truth. You are Faithful and True. Praise your Holy name forever.
  25. Q2. (139:5, 10). In verses 5 and 10, how does God's hand touch the psalmist? He is with him everywhere he goes and in all that he does he knows the hand of God is upon him. Protecting him and keeping him in the right ways. He has promised to go with us until the end what a wonderful thing that God has done not just for David but for us all. Thank you Jesus. Have you ever felt God's hand on you in a special way? Yes Was it for your good? Yes What was it like? Gods hand has guided me through many things and he has not let me go. He was with me at the death of my Mom, Dad, Sister and Husband. He guided me through the darkness leading me to a place he would hold me up and not let go of me when I was hurt and lonely. He is a mighty God Faithful and True. He will be all you will ever need and more. He is my best friend my comforter and guide and without him nothing would be right again. I just thank him and praise him for all he has done for me and in me. God is good and his mercy endures forever. Hallelujah
