  1. Q1. (139:7) Why do people sometimes want to flee from God? Just as with Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden when they took of the fruit of knowledge and understood good and evil so do we. We like them want to run and hide from God if we are doing things we know are wrong. Why do people imagine that God doesn't know what they do? He is the all knowing John 3: 20 ever present Psa 139: 1 and 7 Creator of the world John 1: 3. If we believe the word of God (which we do or we would not be here today in this study) we know what the bibles says of God and that is is our maker the one that created all things. Have you ever felt this way? Yes when we backslide we know in my heart God could see the evil I did and the things that I did that was not pleasing to him. I know the feeling and it with you always once you are awaken to the Spirit of God you know him from that moment on. Even if you do not serve him you still know his word in your heart. When we hide the word in our hearts it don't just go away. Thank you Jesus. For you are always there to help us to come back to you.
  2. (20:3) What is the basis on which Hezekiah asks for healing? He has ask God for healing on the basis that he has lived a faithful and upright life before God keeping the commandments and living by the law. He has be a good king and leader for Gods people. Why is personal righteousness and holiness important in getting your prayers answered? Righteousness and holiness are important when you pray because the promises of the word of God are given to them. They are not promised to sinner. Even though he does answer their prayers at times they can say to him your word say that you will do this for me the reason they do not have a covenant with the King of Kings they have not excepted Jesus into their lives. I think that a lot of times the reason that sinners get answers to prayers is because the ask a saved person to pray about the problem. How can unrighteousness prevent answered prayer if all gifts from God are by grace anyway? For by grace are you saved and not through works least anyone should boast. Grace is the way the gifts are given to all Gods people. He makes his promises to those that love him and serve him not to those that are sinners and refuse to live by his laws and his word which is readily available to us today. God loves all people even the sinners but his promises are to those that love him in return and do his will.
  3. Q3. Why is Hezekiah's healing important for his nation? There where many countries that had been taken over and destroyed by the Assyrian army and they had come really close to coming into Judah lead by Sennacherib. And with the death of Hezekiah there would be no kind to keep the people praying and depending on God. They could have been destroyed if he had of died. They depended on his prayers as well as those of the prophet Isaiah to lead them. How did it relate to God's promises to David? God had promised David that the messiah would come from his seed. So if Hezekiah died without a child so would the promise of God to David die because he was that decedent. He had no son to take over the throne.
  4. Q2. (19:15) How do the first two sentences of Hezekiah's prayer (verse 15) correspond to the first sentence of the Lord's Prayer? They both say there is only one God and that he created heaven and earth. How are they important to faith? Faith in God says we believe there is only one God and we serve him with all our being. We know he is in control of all things and will be in control because he has created all things. He is Lord God almighty. How are they important to God answering the prayer? Jesus taught us the Lords Prayer because he was ask how to pray. He started off saying who God is and what he reigns over. This is how we enter our prayers into the throne room of God with praise for he is worthy. We need always to praise him to lift God up for he is worthy of all Praise then we shall receive from him time to place our petitions before him. God is the same yesterday today and forever we need to praise him for his love his mercy and all that he is. Holy and Righteous, God is love, mercy and grace we need to talk to him as our friend giving him praise always.
  5. Q1. (19:14) What is the significance of Hezekiah spreading out the enemy's message before the Lord? Hezekiah went up into the house of the Lord, and spread it before the Lord to let God see the letter he was looking at to let him see and to talk to him about what Sennacherib was saying about him and about God. He had insulted God and Hezekiah wanted to lay it out before the Lord what was done. What is the underlying principle illustrated here? The battle is the Lords it is God that will do this for it God that got insulted and Hezekiah will leave this battle in the hands of the Lord. God will protect his own. How can we apply this principle to our own lives? We go through battles daily and most of us try to fight them ourselves. We can win some of them and others we would be defeated. But when you take the battle to the Lord tell him all your troubles he steps in and your faith does the battle. God wins the battles that discourage and hurt us without all the suffering and pain we put ourselves through. Let God do it. What happens when we don't apply this principle? We get discouraged, down hearted and overwhelmed. We are nothing but with God all things are possible. Lord help me this day to leave all the battles in your hands because when we do the fight we get tired and sometimes lose out even with God. We get totally out of control and frustrated.
  6. Q4. Why is a person's attitude with regard to giving related to that person's attitude towards praise? First you have to be willing to give all of yourself to the Lord. The things we say we own are not ours at all they are only borrowed for a while. They came from God they are his and we are blessed to be able to use them. The way you give back to God what is his will open your Praise to him so that you can give all Praise to him whom it belongs already. The more you know all you have belongs to God your eyes open to see how much he is worthy of all our Praises. Why does an attitude of possessiveness with regard to giving get in the way of worship? If you can't give back to the Lord those things that are already his how can you praise him with truth and love in your heart. If he is not first in your life he will not stay in your life. Give unto him as he has given to you and you will know nothing really belongs to us. If the Lords we will have things all good things come from the Lord and are his. If we can't give him back what he has given unto us how can we offer up Praise to him for he is worthy of all praises because he is our God and our giver. In what sense do all your possessions belong to God? He created all the earth and all that is here belongs to him. Nothing we have did we make ourselves. Even money is made from paper from the trees God created. How can we not see all things belong to him? What then should be your relationship to your possessions? God has let us borrow them for a while they are not ours at all. How will these truths re-energize your giving? It is easy when you know the truth to give back to him what is his already. He does not ask for it all back but he does say the first 10 percent is to be given back and then offering to him are up to you. The more you give the more you get from God. You can't out give God he is the giver of all things and he will bless your giving always. He will open the windows of heaven and pour you out a blessing is what he has promised to those that give he will give back much more. Thank you Lord. Your praise? The more you praise him the more he helps you to be all you can be in him. He will move mountains if we praise him. We do not have to praise him it should be our hearts desire to lift up the name of God for he is worthy of all praises. God is Love and Lord forever and ever and will be with us unto the end of time and that is a long time and we need to praise him for who he is because he is our hope of tomorrow. The truth is he is worthy of all praise honor and glory. hallelujah
  7. Q3. Verses 11 and 12 both attribute various characteristics to God, such as glory, honor, and might. How might you begin to mention God's greatness in your own prayers? In much the same way he is Holy and Righteous we give all Glory and Praises to our KIng. He is Loving and he is our Maker our Master. Oh What a a Mighty God we serve. He is my everything more than enough for all his children. He is our Creator Life he is Jehovah, The Bread of LIfe, Faithful and True, All Knowing and All Powerful, Ever Present, Mighty in Deed, The Bread of Life that is only a beginning this could go on forever. He is worthy of all praises. Where is this kind of praise found by example in the Lord's Prayer? Our Father giving his the title as to who he is and all he is to us. Which art in Heaven lifting up his name to the heavens to let him and all that hear this prayer that he is real. Holy is your name. He is worthy of all praises. What are your favorite songs that point to God's greatness? What a Mighty God we Serve, God's Grace,Lord of Heaven and Earth, Holy Holy Holy,Make a Joyful Noise unto the Lord, The King of Glory My God Reigns, Worthy is the Lamb,I Go to the Rock,I was Created to Worship,Hollowed be Thy Name,God of Wonders, Lord I lift your name on High, Above All, Shout to the Lord,I can only Imagine to list a few of them I love.
  8. Q2. In what way does praise exalt God? Our Praise is pleasant to God it lifts him up and lets him know we believe he is the one and only true God. He is worthy of all Praise and we know he is ruler and over us and all this earth. We give him honor and glory which he deserves and we need to do this often as we can out loud as David did and in our minds when not able to speak out. God is worthy of all Praise. Why should we exalt God? Because is is our King our Lord our Master. He gave his son so we can have life with him one day.(Which I believe will be soon) He is everything to us and he does all good things for us. We should never think we can make it alone because he is the creator of this world and all that is within it. Yes even us he is my Lord my God. He is Holy and for all the days of my life I shall exalt his Holy name. He is Greatness, Power and Glory,Majesty, and Splendor he is my all and all. "Glorify the Lord with me; let us exalt his name together." (Psalm 34:3) What does this exaltation do in us? Praise leads us into the throne room. The very presence of God. It opens us up to feel his presence in us and around us. When the praises go up the blessing come down from God. Not that we are worthy of anything but it is God showing his love toward us. We need to talk with him often and praise him without ceasing for he is worthy he is our Lord our God the Almighty God. Hallelujah. What does it say about us? It says our faith is in God our hope is in God. All we are is because of who God is in us and too us. He is Mighty and Merciful. Wonderful and Awesome there are not enough words in our english language to exalt him the way we really should. Still the words we have we need to cry out to him in praise for he is so worthy of each and every one of them. Praise the Lord forever and ever for such greatness is he.
  9. Q1. In what way do our prayers of praise "bless" God? The prayers of praise lets God know we understand he is Lord God Almighty who is was and is to come. We lift up praise because he alone is worthy of all our praises for he is our everything. What do we mere humans have that God desires in a blessing? Our God is worthy of all Praises he desires the praises of those he loves and we desire to lift up Praise to give him Honor and Glory. He desires the truth of praise and the love we have for him to be shown and in our praise. What are prayers like, that don't include blessing God? Prayers that don't include praise are selfish we enter into his presence with Praise in our hearts that is the way to enter the throne room. Many times I have heard people say that their prayers bounce off the ceiling and come back at them without praise the is what happens you enter his presence with thanksgiving in your heart and into his courts with praise. There is know other way to reach the ears and heart of our Lord.
  10. Q2. In his prayer does David seek to minimize his sins? No, David knows God has seen the sin so why try to make light of it. To maximize them? No, he has a heart to repent and he knows that he has sinned against God and him only he said he had sinned against. Why does an authentic prayer for pardon require clear, unvarnished acknowledgment of sin to be effective? You have to know and understand that God sees all things and David knew that God saw his sin and yes you do have to confess your sins and repent of them. Confession comes before forgiveness. Then it is clear to you what you have done wrong and God knows you understand that and will forgive you.
  11. Q4. What does it mean to have a broken heart and spirit? To have a broken heart is a heart that knows that sin has entered into you again. When a heart is broken we think of a relationship of the loss of a child or husband the pain the agony and hurt that we think will never end. The pain is so much you fear you will not be able to bare it and go on. The broken spirit is I feel even worse for many don't recover once the spirit is broken I think of that as having seen some on so put down in life that their spirit to lift themselves back up again is impossible. These kind of hurts many never recover from in the walk of life but the walk with God if we put our faith and trust in him he will restore us. It hurts him to see us broken hearted and he himself is hurt by our sins and our spirit is broken because we no longer can feel his presence, until we truly repent and call on him to forgive us. Why is this essential in the prayer for pardon? How could we or anyone be forgiven if we never ask? God wants an intimate relationship with his children as we do with ours. If my child hurts me I want them to come and talk to me and tell me they are sorry for the pain they have caused me. God is our Father we owe him this to become back to the closeness we have with him in our walk with God we have to be pardoned of our sins. In what sense is this a "sacrifice"? This is a sacrifice because we have to be able to lay all our sins at the foot of the cross once again. I thought that once I was forgiven I would not have to do this again. It is something that we repeat all during our life. It is telling him our deepest painful fears and hurts and that we truly need forgiveness again. Lord help us to be willing to do this sacrifice daily as Paul said he had to put the flesh down daily and so must we as long as we live this will be a fight for the Spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. We must continue to be a living sacrifice before God in order to stay in his will. Why do we tend to resist a "broken and contrite heart" in ourselves? Pride and rebellion is the only reason I can give that we do not want to ask forgiveness of God. Both of which we know is sin.
  12. Q3. Is it possible to have a pure heart? Only through the washing in the blood of Jesus can our sins be forgiven and yes we can have a pure heart washed clean in the blood of the Lamb the Son of the Living God. How does God bring about a pure heart? When we pray the sinners prayer asking forgiveness God changes our hearts. They are clean and pure. Thank you Jesus. What is our part in this? Our part in this is to maintain this heart pure and undefiled before the Lord. He washed us clean when we ask him to forgive us and now we live our lives to please him. We make sure we do not go back into the sin he has forgiven us for. We become filled with joy and we do the bidding of the Lord Jesus and go forth into all the world and preach the gospel and live the word not just read it. Thank you Jesus for Calvary and all you gave so we can be free to serve you and be healed by the stripes you took for us. You are all we need. Praise your Holy name forever.
  13. Q1. In what way does a prayer for pardon require faith? Faith being the substances of things hoped for the evanesce of things not seen according to the bible. Faith is what we base our relationship with God on. We do not see him yet we know he is here. Without Faith you could not believe God exist but with that faith you can know in your heart he is there and willing to pardon all sins. With faith all things are possible that opens the door for God to be real and able to pardon. Without faith we have nothing. What is that faith based on? Knowing in your heart that something or someone is real even though you cannot see them you can feel in your heart. Faith is when you know in your heart that someone will do something that you go on and just without checking believe because they said it that it will be accomplished. But we must remember also that faith without works is dead. So we do not want to have blind faith. But it is to know that you know that you know because in your heart it is there. How does a person gain the faith to pray this prayer in confidence? For children that is something so easy they have blind faith. We start off that way yet as we grow and start to walk with the Lord we read his word believe his word and know that he is faithful and just to forgive. Reading the word builds faith, hearing a testimony builds our faith. The more you trust in God by what you see come to pass as you pray the more confidence you will have that God will do things and that he is powerful enough to do all things. Nothing is impossible with God. Praise his Holy Name.
  14. Q4. In what way does Abraham show persistence? Abraham had ask God not just once to save Sodom for the sake of the righteous but he went from 50 righteous men to the number of 10. He had already took an army and went and saved Lot from destruction and now he did not desire to see God wipe out the place where he lived. He loved Lot as a nephew more than most love even their children today. People just do not spend time in prayer talking and listening to God they way we should and the way Abraham did. Why is persistence necessary in prayer? God does not forget what we pray the first time. But there are times when we take a prayer half hearted before God. Maybe a church member is sick and we would like to see God heal them. How many times a day, a week or even a month do we bring their name before the throne of God. He knows our hearts better than we do. If we persist then he knows we truly are doing intercessory prayer for that person. Have you ever experienced "praying through"? Yes What was it like? Awesome feeling when you have ask God for a soul to be saved and in your mind you think they are so evil what if even God can't reach them. Then to see them in an alter praying. WOW God can do all things even the ones we think might be the hardest. That is the ones that he will show us by doing for us. We need to stay in prayer for our families, friend and those that we are around daily. For all the ones we go to church with that need healing. That is another sorry that would take way to long for me to go into on here. But I will say this God still heals opens blind eyes and makes the lame to walk again still today. Thank you Jesus.
  15. Q3. Do you think Abraham's boldness pleased God? Yes, I do think it pleased God for Abraham's boldness that means he has faith in this relationship he has with God. Why or why not? The reason being that God and Abraham had an intimate relationship one that they talked together walked together and they could voice what Abraham felt he could voice what was in his heart to God. This is true love and trust in the Lord to be able to boldly speak with him. We are to fear him because he is the Almighty God. Yet he calls us his children. We let our children have a voice even when we think it is wrong. We need to tell them why it is wrong not just say the words. What might cause God to take delight in your prayers to him? I pray he takes delight in them because I am forward and up front. I talk to him as if he was right beside me, and I know he is because he will never leave me or forsake me. I know him personally he is my Lord yes but he is my best friend also. What greater love is there than a man would lay down his life for a friend. Jesus did that for me this is not something we group together it is personal and I love him as my friend as well as him being my Lord.
  16. Q2. How did Abraham demonstrate his humility before God? He said right out that he knew he was formed from dust and he knew that God had breathed the breath of life into Adam and he was a decedent from Adam. He knew that God was the one that did all things to make this world and how long it took him to do so. He had seen the anger of God and what he would do. He knew that God was and is All Powerful and Almighty. He told God he was nothing but dust and ashes and ask if he could speak boldly before him again. He knew the power of God and he knew also the love of God. Why must boldness be tempered with humility? Hbr 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. We know how we are with our children and we are the children of God. We can speak our mind as long as we do it with respect and knowing he is the All Knowing (1John 3:20) and the All Powerful (Jer 32:17 and 27) He wants us to talk with him and be bold about our needs and he still demands our respect as our Father.
  17. Q1. What is the basis of Abraham's argument that God should spare Sodom? Abraham's argument is that God will not kill the righteous and the wicked alike. He will spare the place to the sake of the righteous and not destroy it. He ask him about his mercy. He tells him he is not like other gods that he has mercy and he knows of Abraham's love for Lot and all Abraham has done to protect Lot already. He know Lot is a righteous man and that he lives is fear of the Lord even among the wicked Lot still lives for the Lord. He took the easy way out when him and Abraham parted because there was not enough to feed the flocks. Lot chose the way that looked the easiest so that shows that Lot put himself before Abraham but still there was love of family there a loyalty to the family. Abraham loved Lot and the Lord knew this and he would have spared the wicked for 10 righteous. But there was not even 10 to be found. God already knew there 10 would not be found but he still talk to Abraham and assured him he would spare them if he found them. He is a just and merciful God. What was Abraham thinking? How does it relate to God's character? God is a just God he lets the wickedness go on for the sake of the righteous. He loves those who love him and he will not let them be destroyed with the wicked. God will allow you to come boldly before him to make a case for the righteous that you love and he still today. God will talk to us still just not face to face he talks through his word we need to speak it boldly back to him. He will do what he says he will do. This world we live in now is to the point of being as Sodom was then we have to expect God to do something to stop all this sin soon. I do believe the signs of the time are there for us to see and we will see Jesus soon. This world is doing the same as they where in sodom so what else can we expect from a righteous God?
  18. Q4. How can prayer change God's mind without conflicting with the doctrine of the Immutability of God? Prayer can and does change the way God does things. As long as we pray in accordance to the word the written word he has given to us in the bible he will not go against his own word. He will like with bringing them out of Egypt so many times wanted to destroy them all but because of Moses the intercession of his prayers did let them live. He did not let them enter the promise land but their generations did get to go in. God's will is to give to us the desires of our hearts. Just not the greedy and selfishness that some think of as being a desire. He listens to us and will do what is prayed according to his will in the word. So yes he can change his mind. We may wonder in the wilderness for a while because of disobedience and face some really hard trials but he will bring us through and help us to receive the things we have ask from him. Thank you Father. Can God answer a prayer for something outside of the scope of his will? God answers prayers in many ways. Some seem to think the only answer to prayer is yes I the Lord your God will do this for you. That is not true he also says to us wait and pray more it will be in my time that you will receive the answer and then there are times when we pray for something we know is not the will of the Father and yet we think he should change and give us what we ask. He would not be a good Father if he did that so he will not do it. Jesus said he went to sit at the right hand of the Father to make intercession for us and I do believe that is why I am still alive today. God loves me but I have done so pretty dum things in my life that deserve death. Jesus interceded and the Father let me live. I thank him he is kind and love but we must remember he is a God of wrath also. He has opened the ground and swallowed up a lot of people because of sin. He hates sin so we need not ask him to leave it. Think of Abraham and his bleed for Sodom and it was destroyed because of the sin there. Not even 10 good men could be found but he did bring Lot out and his family. We must remember God is God and he will not change his ways but he can be talked to by us through Jesus Christ.
  19. Q3. How can a wrong understanding of determinism and predestination keep us from the kind of gutsy prayer that Moses prayed? If we believe that all things that are in the heart of God are set in stone the way he did the 10 commandments then we know that the prayers of Moses would not have made a difference. God is all knowing we understand that from 1John 3:20 For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. 1John 3:21 Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, [then] have we confidence toward God. 1John 3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. His word is life and we see that we can talk to the Father by praying and he will do intercession for us. He would not let us pray and just toss it out he knows our hearts and our minds and he will answer our prayers when we ask in faith believing. What do you call a belief that our prayers make no difference to God's response? That is a prayer that is calling Jesus, as well as God the Father, a liar. They said they hear our prayers and that they will answer them. So if you do not believe that they why pray. If we are but puppets here on this earth we would have no free will and Eve would not have listen to the servant. God has angels already that worship him day and night he gave us free will to have humans to live love and rejoice in him because of who he is not because that is all we can do. Even the angels fell so they had free will also things do change because of prayer. If not why would we bother to pray!
  20. Q2. What aspects of Moses' prayer of intercession should we emulate in our own prayers? We need to think of the whole problem. Not put what would benefit us first and foremost before God so that we will appear selfish and greedy. We need to know that God's heart can be touched by the love one for another. When we pray and ask for others she knows our hearts are censer and that we are reaching out not for us alone but for those that he loves and cares for. Upon what logical grounds does Moses offer this bold appeal to God? He based it upon the words that would be spoken of God that he was unfair and not a just God to bring them out just to kill them. To let the Egyptians be able to say he was not a God that loved his people but one that would bring them out to destroy them. He would not be a God that others would desire to serve. What do you think it means to "pray the promises of God"? Know the word of God. Keep it in your heart, the only way to do that is to read and reread it till you know it in your mind. Memorize it and be able to speak it back to God as a reminder of his promises. How does knowing the Bible help you get your prayers answered? God cannot lie. He word is life and his word is what he will always do for his people it has been this way since Adam and Eve. What he says he will do he does. To speak his word lets him know you understand his promises and count on them. How does this help our prayers be within God's will? Gods word is his will for our lives. He gave rules then to follow as he does us today. We are under a new covenant yes but still under the law also Jesus did not come to do away with the law but to fulfill it. So we need to keep our prayers so that we are in his will at all times.
  21. Q1. Read Exodus 32:1-14. What had the people done that was so bad? Yes, it was bad before Moses could even get the ten commandments down to them they had already broken the first two of them. They had turned back to what God had brought them out of idols. He had proved to them he was the Real GOD not a fake that could do nothing, yet they want something they can see and touch. How short is their memory that they do not know the power of God, the power he has shown them in their deliverance. How can a loving God be angry? Yes, he can be angry he was anger with Adam and Eve and they where punished for the sin they did. This anger of God is how they ended up slaves in Egypt to begin with. They know of the wrath of God they knew throughout the generations speaking of God about his wrath still they chose to defy him and his Holiness. Is God's sentence to destroy Israel and raise up a new nation through Moses justified? I am glad that God is God and not me I would have destroyed them long before he did for all the summering and complaining they did. He is a Holy God he would have kept him promise for the seed of Abraham. He cannot look upon sin think of when Jesus was on the cross. He said My God My God why have you forsaken me. That is because God cannot look upon sin. So it was justified.
  22. Q4. Why should we continually ask forgiveness? Paul who wrote most of the New Testament our guide and way of life said he died daily. He knew he was human and made mistakes so he had to ask forgiveness and we also are human and make mistakes so we need to ask Jesus to forgive us also. How can unforgiveness on our part block God's blessing? Luk 6:37 Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven: This says it much better than I can. We have to forgive if we are to be forgiven. It is not always going to be easy or quick to do so but still we strive for profection in Christ Jesus so we must forgive for him to bless us. How can unforgiveness block God's forgiveness? Luk 6:37 Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven: Just as the word tells us it is up to us to not condemn and not hold unforgiveness in our hearts for if we do we shall not be forgiven by God. We must learn to live and let go of things that have hurt us and it is not always easy but we know it was not easy for Christ Jesus to go to the cross for our sins. None of us go that far to forgive so we need to follow his example and do what is right in the eyes of God. Forgive and his promises will stand true for all of us. Luk 6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. We have many promises from God and they all come down to if we forgive he forgives us when we ask him.
  23. Q3. Why do we seek to be independent of asking anyone for help? PRIDE one of the things that gets us into trouble and in the messes we go through daily. We want to be able to say we are a self made man/woman. We can make it on our own. Which is not true we none of us can make it without the help of God to his leading. Why do we seek to be independent of God? Human nature is not good for the most part we want to be something or someone that is able to stand alone and make things happen when in truth we are nothing without God and the sooner we learn this the better our life will be. Phl 1:21 For to me to live [is] Christ, and to die [is] gain. Why should we ask God to "give" us daily bread so long as we can earn a living for ourselves? We are nothing on our own. Without the Lord to lead and guide us we can do nothing all good things come from the Lord. Without him breathing the breath of life into us we would not have life how can we think we could make it through a day without him. Wise men/women still seek him for all things. Mat 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
  24. Q2. In what sense are we asking that the Father's kingdom should come? We are asking that he return to earth to rule and reign for ever more. We are asking him to show his power and glory to all the world and for the Father God to send Jesus again to take us home with him. Why are we asking for the Father's will to be done here on earth? The Fathers will is perfect. Not like us as human's who make mistakes or are selfish. His will is perfect and without failure of any kind his will should be our will also and one day when he returns it will be. How should this prayer affect our living? This prayer should show us to open our prayers with praise for our Lord for he is worthy of all praise, honor and glory, Then we are to ask his will to be done in our lives as well as on this earth. It should change our lives to be more like Jesus.
  25. Q1. What about our lives and words "hallows" the name of our Father? Our own lives we live holy and in his presence and we read the word and live the word to show how we feel about our Father he is Holy and he is our Holiness. What desecrates and besmirches it? To use the Lords name in any ways that does not bring honor and glory to it is wrong. We do not use it just to use it as we would not call our earthly dad bad names or say bad things about him we do not do this to our heavenly Father either. We are to give respect to him never use him name to put down someone or just to toss it in the air for others to hear. He is Holy and we need to speak of him in that way. How should we "hallow" the Father when we begin to pray? We should always respect and let our Lord know that we understand his ways are higher than our ways his thoughts higher than our thoughts and we need to make it so it is personal for us and for him. He is our heavenly Father who loves us more than any earthly dad ever could he is God. God is love. Hallelujah.
