Q2. Another Gospel

Recommended Posts

Paul knew only too well what defection meant: a reversion to legalism and his old self as Saul, who was a persecutor of the body of Christ. Legalism led to judgement which led to murder, which was, ironically, a transgression of the commandment "Thou shall not kill".

Twisted gospels take away the truth that "Jesus is the way, the truth and the life". No one will come to the Father without the true gospel. Therefore, a twisted gospel leads to worship of self, and not worship of God and communion with Him.

NO OTHER PERSON,METHOD ,OR RITUAL CAN GIVE YOU ETERNAL LIFE. THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY AND IT WAS GIVEN BY GOD TO BE FORGIVEN OF SIN THROUGH BELIVING IN JESUS CHRIST.

THOSE WHO TRIED TO CHANGE THE GALATIANS BELIVERS AND PERVERTED THEGOSPEL WERE JEWISH CHRISTIANS WHO BELIVED THAT THE OLD TESTAMENT PRACTICES WERE

REQUIRED OF ALL BELIVER.

Q2. Paul called the Judaizers’ message as a “different gospel,” a perversion of the true gospel. How is this dangerous to the Galatian believers? How do twisted gospels (or an unbalanced interpretation of the gospel) affect Christians in our day?

This dangerous because there is to be no addtiions nor subtractions to God's Word and any perversions is dangerous in confusing any believer way for the Galations or in present day Christians causing some to become an unbeliever.

Q2. Paul called the Judaizers' message as a "different gospel," a perversion of the true gospel. How is this dangerous to the Galatian believers? How do twisted gospels (or an unbalanced interpretation of the gospel) affect Christians in our day?

The Judaizers' message was another gospel which taught circumsion as a requirement for righteousnes. This was dangerous because it was contrary to the real gospel message of salvation by faith brought about by the death of the Lord Jesus Christ on the cross to resue us. Th Galatians christians were turning away from the true message and adopting the false message and thus heading for destruction.

Even in our days, some preachers are preacing messges that the majority want to hear and downplaying salvation.

False gospel preachers are a very serious danger especially to baby Christians who don't have enough study ingrained in them to be able to discern what is right and what is wrong. And if they hear the false message enough times, it's likely that they will believe it and turn from the true gospel. It is imperative that Christians find a good, Bible based church to attend. It is imperative that they check everything that is preached to them with what the Bible says. Twisted gospels pull people away from true faith and their salvation could be in jeopardy depending on what they are embracing which is false doctrine.

Q2a) There is only one "true gospel" so by referring to a "different gospel", the risk is that the Galatians could believe there is a choice of gospels without realizing that one gospel will lead to eternal life but the other gospel will lead to condemnation, and not realizing which path they are on. If the Galatians believe the Judaizers "different gospel" thinking that is the path to eternal life, they are being blind-sided of the real truth. How do they know whether Paul is preaching the correct gospel or whether the Judaizers are preaching the correct gospel? The unknown to them could be leading them to hell without them even realizing that is where they are heading. Their soul could be lost forever, depending on their choice and thanks to a false teacher.

Q2b) Misinterpreted scripture gives people and incorrect guideline on how to walk the Christian life. It could lead to fatality for them depending on what the misinterpretation is...meaning eternal life or eternal damnation. Not only does it affect salvation, but also the grace we are undeserving given by God if they don't receive correct teaching...prayer life and receiving answers...love, comfort, hope, etc. that God gives us...as well as any other part of scripture in knowing what an awesome God we serve.

Q2. Paul called the Judaizers' message as a "different gospel," a perversion of the true gospel. How is this dangerous to the Galatian believers? How do twisted  gospels (or an unbalanced interpretation of the gospel) affect Christians in our day?

This is a dangerous preaching because a different gospel DOES NOT OFFER  which is the main purpose of Christ's mission to earth.

Twisted gospel  puts the death of Christ into no value. They made Christ's death meaningless. It is dangerous because those who believe will be eternally condemned because only the true gospel of Christ can offer us salvation. All we have to do is to accept Him as our Lord and Savior, Repent of our sins and received forgiveness and enjoy the abundant life He offers to those who believe in His name.

Paul called the Judaizers' message as a "different gospel," a perversion of the true gospel. How is this dangerous to the Galatian believers? It will lead them off God's path to salvation. They would miss the work of Jesus Christ and be headed toward condemnation. Any path that is not the path God has paved leads to destruction. The Galatian church was headed in the wrong direction thinking works would lead them to salvation.

How do twisted gospels (or an unbalanced interpretation of the gospel) affect Christians in our day? I believe it causes undo hardship because they are trying to work on something that's all ready been done. Satan uses twisted gospels to keep peace, joy, and freedom from affected Christians, and could lead them to a path of worry, fear, and eventually they give up on God because they will fail. They never receive the fullness of Christ that He has planned.

Q2. Paul called the Judaizers’ message as a “different gospel,” a perversion of the true gospel.

The Judaizers’ message was a “different gospel,” a perversion of the true gospel that gave the Galatians

a false hope. A hope that led them to believe that they were saved by the works of the law; a perversion

of the true gospel which is Christ died to save us from our sins.

How is this dangerous to the Galatian believers?

This is dangerous to the Galatian believers, because they would still be lost believing this gospel, not

embracing Christ's work on the cross.

How do twisted gospels (or an unbalanced interpretation of the gospel) affect Christians in our day?

Twisted gospels cause people to turn away from the truth and believe. This lie could cause their

total separation from Christ.

It is dangerous for the Galatian believers because it was taking them from the true gospel, which is God's Word. The false teachers were teaching they had to believe in circumcision, works of the law, and keeping Jewish holy days. All is false, all we have to do is have faith in Jesus and believe on what He did on the cross. The same is for us today as Christians. We cannot believe in the world's way. It is wrong. Believe God's Word, that He will do what He says, and stand on our faith in Jesus Christ. He is true and faithful.

A crooked interpretation of the healthy doctrine was seriously dangerous to the Galatians spiritual growth, because it was nullifying the sacrifice of Yeshua Ha'Masciach as the only source of salvation, putting their confidence in the dead traditions of corrupted teachers of the Mosaic Law. This was a strategy from the Devil himself, in an attempt to undermine the core of the Holy Gospel and leading galatian believers into eternal condemnation.

it's the same taking place nowadays, even, so-called Christian ministers come with twisted gospels, generally, according to what the general public want to hear, they want a god that fulfill all their desires, a god-slave, a genius of Aladdin's lamp....hahahahaha...that's so hilarious....they don't know The Majesty, Almightiness, Omniscience & Sovereignity of our God..."God cannot be mocked..." -Galatians 6:7-

If they accept this new gospel that means they are rejecting the original one as the truth, they are accepting a lie. All lies come from Satan so they would be turning from Jesus and toward Satan which would cause them to lose their relationship with their savior. The same is true today.

Q2. Paul called the Judaizers' message as a "different gospel," a perversion of the true gospel. How is this dangerous to the Galatian believers? How do twisted gospels (or an unbalanced interpretation of the gospel) affect Christians in our day?

It was dangererous because if they believed the wrong thing they would be going against the word of God, they would be doing the will of man and not the will of the Father.

The wrong teaching of the word of God is the same today as it was thenm if you listen to a perverse version of the true gospel you would not be following the word of God, there the Lord will, will not be done.

Accepting another gospel other than faith in the Cross and what Christ accomplisehd for us at Calvary can affect one's eternal destiny. This is extremely dangerous and satan knows it and thus tried to use the Judaizers to introduce salvation by works and trusting in one's own merits to be saved. Today, a lot of christians in the Body of Christ are affected by this same religious spirit that tells them they have to do certain rituals and works to be saved.Basically, man trying to do good works to please God, hoping he will be acceptable and righteous unto God.We can never be righteous apart from the Blood of Jesus, but the devil has perverted so much of the Gospel that I'm starting to see why many christians are falling away or leaving churches and not wanting to go back.

Q2. Paul called the Judaizers' message as a "different gospel," a perversion of the true gospel. How is this dangerous to the Galatian believers? How do twisted gospels (or an unbalanced interpretation of the gospel) affect Christians in our day?

This is so dangerous for the Gentile believers because of many reasons. The main reason is that htey have deserted him who has called them into the grace of Christ, and been removed from the true grace of the gospel of Christ. The work of Christ alone, in giving himself for our sins. They have fallen from grace and are relying on something else. They were begining to view the cross of Christ as weak and unable to secure them a right standing before God. They began to think that they would need some other thing to help them receive all the blessing that belongs to God's chosen ones. In this case, circumscion was the ticket and entrance into all that God has leaving faith in Christ alone for them as not enough. the Cross was weak and Inefficient.

The problem with the twisted Gospel that is preached today is the same thing as then. It takes away the liberty we have in Christ, brining us into a lifeless religion of bondage and heavy burdens. It takes away from the power of Cross and his work on the cross. We have a perverted view of salvation and the ultimate power of Christ's atoning work in all areas of our walk with him.

Stand fast in the liberty and be not entangled again in the YOKE of BONDAGE

Paul called the Judaizers message a different gospel because the false teachers had proclaimed as message contradictory to the true Gospel- the good news of Jesus Christ. Paul preached the christians in Galatia that Jesus gave himself for our sins to rescue us from sin and all evil and by putting our faith in the Lord Jesus we can live a victorious life. the false teachers confused the galatian beleivers with a wrong message which created doubt , confusion and made many to turn away from the true gospel. This became a dangerous circumstance because galatian believers were turning from their faith in Jesus Christ.

Unbalanced christian teachings create doubt and confusion in the minds of beleivers. Even in these present days true christian walk is hindered when the Word of God is misintepreted. Various doctrines and new teachings that are not in accordance with the Word of God make people turn away from their trust and faith in Christ Jesus.

A perversion of the true gospel will rob the gospel of its power. They were preaching law and outward obedience as the means of salvation. They didn't "get it", just as we often don't get it today.

Gospels today can get twisted just as they were in Galations. Well intended actions may stress certain acts/attitudes/beliefs and they can be misplaced in terms of importance. The truth of the gospel is simple, yet it is profound. It is hard for the human intellect to accept. We are conditioned to "earn" our way. Thus, misappropriated efforts are spent on trivial matters and the souls of the children are corrupted.

Paul had preached the Gospel to the Galatians , Galatians were pagans and he had preached to them about the death and resurrection of Jesus, he was teaching them the truth, the freedom they receive when they accept Christ, but the Judains came and they started to teach them Law, now before Christ came into this world and before he was sacrificed for us and during the times of Moses they were given these laws which made them aware of their sin, but in they failed to realize and put these laws above God, and now they were coming to the Galatians and trying to confuse them giving them the laws that were given to them, and as they refused to accept Jesus they wanted the Galatians also to follow laws and not accept the truth that Jesus died for all to give us eternal life thru him. Thus they were preaching wrong versions to the Galatians and putting them in confusion.

2a)The Judiaser’s were preaching that to be saved people were to be circumcised in adhering to Mosaic Law(Act’s15:1) It was dangerous for Galations believers potentially withdrawing them from grace of Paul’s gospel- that salvation came through believing the grace of Jesus sacrifice alone It drove wedge between Judiazers &others who followed true Gospel

.b)preachers weakening message¬ presenting core truths that we receive spiritual freedom from constraints of Law,hold of guilt &sin thro salvation in Jesus alone, not from human tradition, confuses unbelievers &denies them eternal hope.Paul described it a cursed deception.

Q2. Paul called the Judaizers’ message as a “different gospel,” a perversion of the true gospel. How is this dangerous to the Galatian believers? How do twisted gospels (or an unbalanced interpretation of the gospel) affect Christians in our day?

Any distortion of the apostolic gospel changes that gospel into something else -- a false gospel.

It was dangerious and serious, then as well as now, to preach a message that results in the eternal destruction of souls. Paul was not tolerant of such false teachers and neither should we be.

Paul in 1 Thess. 1:8-9 twice pronounces the solemn curse of God on anyone who preaches any other gospel. God has only one message for doomed sinners -- He offered salvation by grace through faith Jesus Christ, entirely apart from law-keeping. Those who proclaim any other way of salvation must necessarily be doomed -- a false gospel.

Paul says an angel from heaven, not angel from God. An angel from heaven could conceivably bring a false message, but an angel from God could not. Language could not express more clearly the uniqueness of the gospel. It is the only way of salvation. Self-effort or human merit have no part. The gospel alone offers salvation withour money or price. Whereas the law has a curse for those who fail to keep it, the gospel has a curse for those who seek to change it. See John 14.

False, distorted gospels end in death and destruction.

It was dangerous to the Galatian believers because they were being lead away from the true gospel and started following the false teachings and created confusion.

It affects Christians today as it did then.

This was dangerous to the Galations because they started believing in a wrong gospel and were led away by wrong teaching. They were made to believe that by keeping the law they would attain eternal life while the truth was Jesus had already paid the price for them to get eternal life. Paul accuses the galations who have deliberately followed a wrong gospel and warns them that as the consequence they would looses their salvation and would be cursed.

When we believe in twisted gospels there will be confusion and turmoil in our peace and the peace of the church. Twisted gospels make people do so may things and put so much effort to attain salvation while the truth is Jesus has made it freely available to us. There are many false gospels being preached around, so one has to study the word of God to discern between right and wrong things being taught.

The Galatian believers were believing a truth different from the truth Paul taught them and this was dangerous to them because they would be led astray and far from the actual truth of the Gospel.

The same affects Christians today when they are led to an unbalanced interpretation of the Gospel or the Gospel is twisted and preached to man's conevenience. The danger is such things leads us away and we become people pleasers than be obedient to God.

By this being a different gospel, the Galatians are in risk of being led away from God and Jesus by false teachings. They can end up following a pagan type of religion eventually. They can end up losing their salvation and graces in God's eyes..

Twisted gospels today are sugar coated sermons that take any bite out of the concept of sin. They spoon feed people a view of Christianity that is easy to swallow. They do not condemn any bad behaviors that the people in the congregation might have. They softly explain what it is to be redeemed. They have very false sense of righteousness. They attend Sunday worship and then the rest of the week they live in the materialistic world.
