4. 1 We have to recognize our sins and desires if we can't then we don't have the God's will in our heart. If we ask for forgiveness and ask the Lord to help you to do His will then God will forgive you. You will look at things different and will want to do God will. 2 If we neglect to do this then we will live our lives in sin and never be able to discern God"s will. We will hear Satan voice clearly. We all have to give our lives to the Lord and Pray for forgiveness and do the Lord's will. when we do this we will listen and hear God's word and will want to do what is right and will be able to discern right from wrong. 3 Holding on will only let us live a worldly life never being able to hear God's voice. Unless we are living for the Lord all we will hear is Satan commands.

3 1 Out in the world not living by God's word stealing ******* sexual desires never picking up the bible never listen to God's word. 2 Doing things on Sunday that can be done through the week. 3 Satan telling you its okay not to read the bible not true anyway. Go out with your best friend wife he will never know. I could go on and on 4 You have to know God and his word not to do all of the above. If you don't believe and know the word then you don't thing nothing wrong I pray all will get to know our Lord Jesus and read his wonderful word and make heaven our eternal living place with Jesus.

5 2 We first have to study God's word and practice what we read. We have to be able to discern when we hear the word if it is scripture as in the bible.as we read and study and grow we will be able to understand and grow even greater. 3 if we know the word we will realize as soon as we do wrong. All believer should know right from wrong. If not we need to read and mature more in God's word.

Lesson 5 1 Gideon believed. . H e didn't have enough faith or needed more encouragement to do what the Lord wanted him to do. 2 Gideon should have done what the Lord told him to do the first time. He should have prayed again and listen for what the Lord told him. I think when we have to ask for signs we are testing God. When we do it over and over this displeases God. When we ask the Lord for what we want we need to listen for his answer and not ask for signs. 3 I myself don't ask for signs but I don't think it displeases God it we ask again. After this I think it is very displeases God because if we believe we don't even have to ask the second time 4 I think even if we ask for signs it displeases God we should have enough love and faith to know God will bring us through. I think when asking for a fleece it becomes a substitute for God wisdom that comes from bible study and prayer.

4 1 Pride keeps us from letting the Lord do his job. We get above Our Lord and think we can do all things ourselves. Proverbs is a good book of the bible to read scriptures on pride. 2 we read our bibles daily we pray for the Lord to keep us humble. We let the Lord live in our hearts and guide us daily.

2 Our Lord died for our sins he did it because he loved us so much. because of this who would not want to be obedient to him. He loves us so much that we can start a new day with a new start by asking for forgiveness and be obedient. One of the commandment is we should love him with all our heart and if we we will be obedient and ask for his love he will love us in return. If we want eternal life we will trust and obey for there is no other way, Praise the Living Lord. Mess up posting this post

4 1 It is God's way or no way. Lots of people think they don't need our Lord but he is in command. We will learn the hard way to trust Jesus he loves us but he will bring us to him sometimes using discipline and punishment. We are not in control our Lord Jesus is our commander.

4 1 If we don't know the Lord we will not even listen for his voice. This was what happen to Samuel he had not know the Lord. 2 If we know the Lord we will read and study his word and pray and most of all listen for him to speak to us. We have to know the Lord to want to follow him and try to become more like him. We will have faith that he will be with us and help us through our trial 3 When we are united with Christ by trusting in him we experience the power that raised him from the dead. We are to press forward to the high calling of our Lord Jesus Christ. 4 Paul knew he might die soon but he had faith that he would be raised to life again. this is what will happen to all that believes we will all die but will be raised to live with Jesus Christ forever.

1 Eli told Samuel to go and lay back down if he called him again say speak Lord for thy servant heareth. 2 yes it was good counsel. Samuel did not know the Lord yet and this was the begining of his relationship with the Lord. 3 Eli told Samuel to say your servant heareth. From this Samuel realized that he was a servant to the Lord. when we give our life to the Lord we are servants to him.

1 To know God's will does not mean we must hear his voice He leads in different ways. We must be sure our plans are in his will. 2 Do exactly what Psalms 27:14 tells us to do. Wait on the Lord and be of good courage. Wait I say on the Lord.

David prayed for a clear message from God. He may have been urged by the Holy Spirit. he could have went to the High Priest who consulted God through the Urim and Thummim. 2 God gave David clear instrutions on what to do and David follow completely.

1.I think you can tell about the people you are around by the feelings you have. I think this is the Holy Spirit letting you know. 2. I think you should pray and ask the Lord if this is him telling me or am I being judgmental. Ask the Lord to help me with the feelings I am having about these people. 3.Yes I have. 4. When we someone who needs help really needs it the Holy Spirit will guide you to do what you can.

1. yes. 2.We may not understand God's plans at first but the results will prove that God's way is all ways right. 3.Yes I have. I acted on it. Our Lord Jesus took care of it. 4.I followed through and I praised and gave all the glory to the Savior

First Peter doubted himself.After thinking of the vision the Holy Spirit spoke to him telling him to go to the men knowing the Lord showed him it was alright. If the Holy Spirit had not spoken to Peter I think he would have sent the men away. In this time it was not even possible for Jews to associate with Gentiles but following the Holy Spirit Peter took the gospel to a Roman and Peter went despite his feelings. It takes strong faith. If you quote scripture to someone they may reject you. We have to keep on keeping on.

Paul knew he had to fullfill his mission. The Holy Spirit showed Paul that he would suffer. His strong character was a good example to some who also suffer for Christ. No Paul had already been told by the Holy Spirit to go. Paul thought life was worth nothing unless used for Gods work. There was work to be done in Jerusalem. What Paul put in to God's work was more important than what he got out of it. We are humans and I think we would take the easy way. It takes a fully faithful person to take the hard way. Paul was the greatest missionary that ever lived. We all need to focus on the task that God has given us to do. We need to stay in the Spirit to do whatever God leads us to do. read his word daily, pray listen for God to tell us what to do.

I think with all the things that are wrap up in our life is as loud as earthquakes howling winds. We have to put all our troubles and all our concerns a side and quit trying to deal with them our self. Turn them over to God. We really have to listen for that still small voice and be in tune with listening for the Holy Spirit to speak Eiijah was made known by God that there was plenty of faithful prophets that could and would assist him. We miss God"s voice because we are in a hurry with our quite time with him. We have to plan our quite so we can really listen for that still quite voice.

When we are saved and and receive the plan of salvation and believe in the resurrection then we have the mind of Christ. Only the ones that accept plan of salvation will feel and have the mind of Christ which is the Holy Spirit. When Christ ascended he promised we wouldn't be alone he would send us a comforter which is the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the Lord Jesus Christ who I depend on daily In the quietness of our time bible study,praying or just meditating is the perfect time to listen for God to speak to us.

His promise was he would leave the disciples but would be with them still through the Comforter the spirit of God himself. The Holy Spirit dwells in us if we know Jesus as our Savior. Through the Holy Spirit he will be there always to guide us. All we have to do is call upon him Hearing God is reading his word praying for the spirit to fill you and listening for that still small voice to speak to us.

1 Because of his unity with God,Jesus lived as God wanted him live. Because we know Jesus we must honor him and live as he wants us to live. 2 It is true what the scriptures say Jesus does his Father's will. We are to do the Father's will and pray in the Father's will. 3 We know to get into God's word study pray for understanding of it and for the Father to give us wisdom. This is where the listening for God's word comes in. We study and listen for God'word to be discerned to us. We are to do all things in God's will. 4 By praying to the Father. Doing what the Father would have him do. Asking him in his will. Listen for his answer. By asking in the Father"s will Jesus is doing exactly what the Father would have him do.

Jesus starts his day off by talking to the Father. You need quite time for this you cannot pray with other things or lots of activities going on. The morning time is best all is quite and serene. Jesus could connect with the Father alone and praise him and thank him for helping him for what he had done for him the day before. Early morn he could pray for quidance for the day starting. He ask for the Father to show him how to apply himself to help all that comes to him. I am sure he prays for the words to say to all his followers. The disciples love the drawing of a big crowd and the healing that Jesus was doing. Jesus was trying to to show all the people he was the Messiah. I do have quite time. If I'm behind on things I wait on my Bible study . I pray about this and will put it first.

Hello my name is Mary Wyrick. I love bible studies.I think the studies give you better insight of God's word. I am from Knoxville Tn and enjoy quilting in the cold winter days. In the warm months I love working in my flower gardens.I am so glad to be a part of this bible study.

1.The means of the Holy Spirit is to convince the world of its sin and calling it to repentance. Showing God's righteousness to anyone who believes because he would no longer be physically present on earth 2. No it is not it is the presence of the Holy Spirit that has to convict you. We can do the ground work for the Holy Spirit like praying for the Spirit to come upon them. We can testify what we did when we felt the Holy Spirit. The holy Spirit is the only way to becoming a believer in our Jesus Christ the Holy one. 3. We can do nothing on our own it takes our Savior to do it we can pray and ask the Father for the Holy Spirit to come to the unbelievers

1. There would be no gospel unless Jesus did what he came to do. If he had not died he could not remove our sins. If he did not go back to the Father the Holy Spirit would not come. Jesus presence while on earth was limited to one place at a time his leaving meant he could be present to the whole world through the Holy Spirit. 2. the disciples working in the power of the Holy Spirit the Gospel of God's Kingdom into the whole world.

1. To testify means to tell others what Christ has done for you. In testifying you will plants seeds in other and they will want what you have. 2. Jesus used two names for the Holy Spirit Comforter and Spirit of Truth. The Comforter relays to us the helping and encouraging and strengthening work of the Spirit. The Spirit of Truth points to the teaching and reminding work of the Spirit. 3.I read God's word and I can testify from personal knowledge about Jesus. The apostles were eyewitnesses of Jesus teaching but I read the word and know it is true and this is how we keep our eyes on Jesus Christ through his word. Jesus brings me peace from prayers he gives me strength when I am weak.Jesus is the only true friend we will ever have.
