Q3. Delay in Christ's Coming

Recommended Posts

WOULD NOT JUST BE WONDERFUL

TO KNOW GOD'S TIME TABLE?

WE MUST STAY IN FAITH AND KNOW

IN OUR HEARTS THAT IS IN GOD'S TIME

AND NOT IN OUR TIME

THIS GIVES US THE OPPORTUNITY TO GROW

AND MATURE AS CHRISTIANS

BUT OF COURSE OUR SHORT SIGHT AND OUR

DELIRIOUS WANTING CALL FOR NOW! NOW!

GOD, WE DEMAND AND THIS IS TOTALLY WRONG

WE MUST LEARN TO LIVE IN THE NOW

MAY GOD RICHLY BLESS YOU.

Q3. (2 Peter 3:9) According to Peter, why has Christ's coming been delayed?

The coming of the Lord has been delayed because God is a gracious and merciful God, He wants all of us to get the chance to repent and come to know, He is giving us time to come to an acceptance of him, He wants all to be saved, he is so loving that He doesn

God is way beyond our comprehension of patience and He is mind boggling in His Love for people who want to take away His sovereignty and become their own God. He knows what little minds and what lack of understanding we have, yet He delays so that all who will come to Him will have an opportunity to receive His gift of salvation. He above our word awesome. We have no word that can describe His absolute Holy greatness.

Q3. (2 Peter 3:9) According to Peter, why has Christ's coming been delayed? What does this teach us about God?

Christ's coming has been delayed because God is patient, which is an attribute of love. Both the earth and our minds are in a process of renewal. We are part of a courtship process preparing us for perfect unity. In the same way the events described in Jesus' Olivet discourse concerning Christ's return to earth must come to pass, these same events occur within the life of an individual believer. This is how the last generation will be able to recognize the imminence of His return. We have only a deposit of His Spirit, but that Deposit leads us into the truth about Jesus and conforms us to His image through submission and She is our engagement ring as well. The revelations She gives us about Jesus are preparatory for a more full union with Him. Christ is patient because He is loving and will not take us by force; instead He says "Do not arouse or awaken love until it so desires" (Song of Songs, 3:6). When we say "Come, Lord Jesus" and "Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord" with the full cry of our heart, "He who is coming will come and not delay."

3a)Christ’s coming being delayed, shows God’s long suffering patience with us, he doesn't want anyone to perish, his time scale is forever, a day is like a 1000 years to us.

B) That God cares about us so much, he gives us maximum time to repent and turn to follow Christ.

Q3. (2 Peter 3:9) According to Peter, why has Christ's coming been delayed? What does this teach us about God?

Christ's delay in His second coming is because God desires as many people as possible come to Him before the Day of the Lord.  God's desire is that all people would come to know Him.

God is patient, loving, and merciful.

Q3. (2 Peter 3:9) According to Peter, why has Christ's coming been delayed? What does this teach us about God?

According to Peter Christ's coming is delayed because of Gods patience, so that none may perish.

This teaches the three qualities of God

First, God is patient with you.

Second God does not want anyone to perish.

Third, God wants us all to reach repentance.

According to Peter, Christ's coming is seen to be delayed because God measures time different than we do. This teach us that God's ways are higher  than ours and in the time to Christ coming He is making a way for many to hear the gospel message so that none would perish.

Q3. (2 Peter 3:9) According to Peter, why has Christ's coming been delayed? What does this teach us about God?

It has been delayed so that people can be saved and none may perish and go to hell. It teaches us that God keeps His promises and also is a God of love and wants the best for the world. He wants those He has chosen to come to Him.
