The "belief" of a non-practicing Christian? It is essential to believe in the existence of God, but it is not sufficient. We read that even the demons believe in the existence of God and that they shudder at the thought of their eventual punishment by Him. The reaction of the Christian is exactly the opposite; we have peace with God, knowing that our future is secure in Him. This we see in Romans 5:1; “therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” The belief of the demons is not a saving faith, and ours is only achieved when we truly believe on the Lord, and totally commit our spirit, soul, and body to Him. This commitment in turn results in a changed life. Faith apart from works is head belief, and therefore dead belief. The non-practising Christian is still captive to sin and self, his life being dominated only by his own concerns. Whereas we find that in the genuine Christian there is evidence of communion with God, compassion for others and conversion from self. The “belief” of a non-practicing Christian? The difference between the belief of a demon is that they belief the same thing as a Christian but they shutter because they know that in that knowledge they are doomed to spend eternity separated from God to the Lake of Fire. The belief of a practicing Christian is that the knowledge of God and His promises help us to look forward to spending eternity with Him, praise and worshipping God forever. The belief of a non-christian is that there is no God therefore I don't have to obey His commandments, nor they believe in a heaven or hell, just you die and that's it. The “belief” of a demon is actually full awareness that God is alive, powerful and plans to send him to eternal damnation. Hence the demons fear God and try hard to neutralize God’s plans instead of repenting. The belief of a practicing Christian on the other hand, is alive with faith that motivates and transforms him from the former man to a new man with love, compassion leading to good deeds. The "belief" of a non-practicing Christian? The “belief” of a non-practicing Christian mimics that of a demon without going so far as to be actively destroying God’s children. It is sterile, of doubtful effect in saving his soul, and as dead as the body that is cast into the grave after being separated from the spirit. A non practising Christian believes there is a God ,they may live an upright life style, but they have no real love for God. Their lives are selfish and revolve around themselves. They have no personal relationship with God. A follower of Jesus, loves Him wholeheartedly, submits to Him and obeys Him with a willing heart. They love to be immersed in the ‘ things’ of God. A Demon knows of God but does not honour God in thoughts and actions, not having faith to follow God's ways, unlike a practicing Christian.The "belief" of a non-practicing Christian? Somewhere in between. The seed of the Holy Spirit is still there as a constant reminder of right and wrong. Belief is not often applied to everyday life. The “belief” of a non-practicing Christian? The demons believe in the truth, but does not submit their lives, hearts, and souls to follow the True One. They believe and know there is one God and shudder. We believe Him, we trust Him, reverence Him, cling to Him and He is an every day part of our life. The non-practicing Christians know the right words, can easily be lead to worldliness, their heart is not changed, they are self centered and not Christ centered. The "belief" of a non-practicing Christian? The belief is possibly very much the same but what that belief does is different. The belief makes the demons shudder or as some translations put it "fear and tremble" and that's where it ends. The belief of a practicing Christian fills him with love towards God and a desire to serve Him, to obey Him, to worship Him, to live for Him fully and completely. The "belief" of a non-practicing Christian does bring out the fear and awe of God but it is as if they are still tied up into non-activity. Almost as if pushing everything into the background, silencing the desire to be active and really living for the Lord. Cords of selfishness, deafness and blindness are wound around them. The belief of a practicing Christian is that God not only exist, but is alive, is closer than a brother, he is the way, the truth and the life, he is someone to lean on when we are weak and a compassionate, loving Father. The belief of a non-practicing Christian is that God exists and that person is able to tell you Bible stories, doctrine and theology but does not have a personal relationship with God. Old Jerry Posted July 20, 2022 Report Share Posted July 20, 2022 The difference between the “belief” of a demon and the “belief” of a practicing Christian is the demon beliefs there is a God but doesn’t know him as his savior. A Christian beliefs in God and knows that Jesus is their savior. Even a non-practicing Christian knows that there is a God they just don’t show their belief.
