Paul prays that the believers grasp the fullness extent of Christ’s love for them because we have got to know that if he loves us he will be with us at all times. We will be able to turn our lives over to him because we trust him. Knowing this love we will be willing to do the things that God asks us to do and we can trust that He is with us always. There is no end to Christ’s love for a person because he died for us on the cross because he loved us.

The love of God is so amazing,we are incapable of fully understanding it. What soil is to a tree.love is to the Christian life. If a tree is not deeply rooted in good soil,it may die. Likewise,if the Christian life is not rooted and grounded in love,it will be a failure. Here Paul is praying that believers get rooted in the love of Christ, get closer to spiritual maturity by grasping the love of Christ. We have to experience operation of Christ's love in our lives so that we can be all that He wants us to be.

When a person truly understands Christ's love for mankind,it transforms the person spiritually. One will be able to love other as Christ taught us to love.

Christ love is limitless. The Bible tells that God loved us with an everlasting love. The Bible also says because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning.

God’s love is total, says Paul. It reaches every corner of our experience. It is wide—it covers the breadth of our own experience, and it reaches out to the whole world. God’s love is long—it continues the length of our lives. It is high—it rises to the heights of our celebration and elation. His love is deep—it reaches to the depths of discouragement, despair, and even death. When we feel shut out or isolated, remember that we can never be lost to God’s love.  Prayer is about God’s immeasurable and inexhaustible love, Paul’s says it in Romans 8:38, 39.

Christ dwells in our hearts through faith an active infinitive which points toward a specific act of faith. There is a fluidity being deeply rooted" This is a perfect passive participle which could be translated  to be rooted in God.

Q6. (3:17-19) Why does Paul pray that the believers grasp the fullest extent of Christ's love for them? How does comprehending this love change a person's spiritual life? Is there any end to Christ's love for a person?

God's love is so vast, it is impossible for the human mind to understand.  Can we think of any person who is outside the love of God?  No, because God wills ALL PEOPLE would come to Him.  ALL.  The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance." (2Peter3:9)When we comprehend even a bit of His great love, it changes us. We realize that God will out-love each of us every time.  Jesus exhorts us, "Love one another as I have loved you, (John 13:34). A tall order.  I am grateful for the Holy Spirit.  Further, Jesus tells us, "Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you," (Luke 6:27). Another tall order.  I am doubly grateful for the Holy Spirit.
