  1. Q5. Why should Christians look forward to the events surrounding our resurrection? It is everything we hoped for during our trials and tribulations on earth Why do you think Christians have largely lost this as their active expectation and hope? Because life comes in and crowds out our hope and tribulations make us waiver. If we are not steadfast we fail. What should be done to reclaim these truths? Bible study, small groups, counselling
  2. Q6. (Revelation 11:15; Psalm 24:7) When people think of spending an eternity in heaven, who do they most look forward to being with? Relatives? Jesus? What does it mean that he will reign forever and ever? In what way is he the King of Glory in your life? It means just what it says, Jesus will reign for ever and ever. I am seeking Him with all my heart and though I am still very far from it I want Him to saturate my life. He is my King of Glory.
  3. Q4. (Malachi 3:2-3; 1 Corinthians 3:13-15). How does Jesus purify and refine his church? How does he purify and refine us? On the Day that fire will test your deeds, will you have anything that remains, besides your salvation? Jesus purify His church with His Word and His Spirit, and us He purifies by putting us in the fire (trials and tribulations). I do not think you will have anything left, lets face it, even our best actions is like filthy rags before God. Only the price Jesus paid on the cross will allow us to see heaven.
  4. In what sense is Jesus “Heir of All Things”? What does it imply that we are co-heirs with him? In what sense do we possess all things? All things were created by and through Him. Absolutely everything belongs to Him. Jesus said that we are His brothers and sisters. This makes us co-heirs with Jesus. We possess all things in the sense that everything belongs to God and we are His children. Praise the Lord for His grace.
  5. (Revelation 1:17-18; Hebrews 12:2) What do the titles First and Last, Alpha and Omega, Beginning and End teach us about Jesus’ nature? How does knowing that Jesus is the Author and Perfecter of our faith help build our trust in him? Jesus is everywhere all the time. He is our source, our fountain of wisdom. The One we need to go to, to be saved and taught. We can trust Him with reservation. In fact, He invites us to trust in Him.
  6. (Hebrews 1:3; Matthew 17:1-2) In what ways did Jesus show the Father’s glory in his ministry? Why do you think Jesus allowed Peter, James, and John to see his Transfiguration? How do you think Jesus will appear in heaven? Jesus showed the Father's glory in everything He did. His life is a testamony to the Father's glory. It had to be them, to fulfill the purpose and great plan for humanity. I have never thought of what would Jesus look like in heaven?
  7. They will be like Jesus but without the scars. I think it all has to do with the new concept. The old is gone, the old will be burdened with all the old shame. God wants us to be new in heaven. I think God being a creator decided all will be perfect in heaven. He is like a parent who wants to give His children the perfect holiday or birthday and wants everything to be perfect for it.
  8. Q3. What does the phrase "redemption of our bodies"(Romans 8:23-24) tell us about our resurrection? What words in 1 Corinthians 15:42-44 describe our resurrection bodies? We will not have our old bodies anymore. So no more disease, pain, creaking lims, stiff joints. The words that describe our resurrection bodies are imperishable not perishable, in glory not in dishonor, in power not in weakness, and spiritual not natural.
  9. Q1. What is the word used in the Bible instead of "rapture"? Resurrection When will the resurrection take place in relation to Christ's return? After the appearance of Christ in the heavens. In relation to judgment? Directly before judgement. In relation to glory? Glory is the final step
  10. It just tells us that He is equall to God, because He is God.
  11. The Lamb took the sins of the world and paid the price for that sin. He shed His blood for us and then rose again declaring His victory over death. He is worthy to the max.
  12. Q2. (Revelation 5:6) Decode (that is, identify) each of the following symbols that relate to the Lamb: The lamb itself represents ....Jesus Standing after being slain indicates ...That He is alive (risen) Horns represent ....He is all powerfull Eyes represent ...He is all seeing The number seven carries the idea of ...completeness, perfection To summarize, then, the Lamb has the qualities of being of ....being all powerfull, all seeing, alive and completely perfect.
  13. Q1. Why is the Lamb called "the Lion of the tribe of Judah" and "the Root of David"? What do these titles signify about him? "The Lion of the tribe of Judah" refers to Jacob's ancient prophecy over his son Judah, picturing Judah as "a lion's cub" and a "crouching lion," from whose tribe, the Jews believed, would come the Messiah "The Root of David" is a reference to Isaiah's prophecy: In that day the Root of Jesse will stand as a banner for the peoples; the nations will rally to him, and his place of rest will be glorious." (Isaiah 11:1, 10) Jesse is the father of King David, from whose descendents the Messiah would come.
  14. Q4. Extra Credit: In what sense have we been set free or relased from slavery to sin? Why do we need the Holy Spirit to help us keep this freedom? Jesus set us free completely, forever. The Holy Spirit is our teacher who teaches us how to keep this freedom.
  15. Q4. (2 Corinthians 11:2) What does it take for us to be presented to Christ as a pure virgin bride? It takes for us to totally submit our lives and will over to Jesus. The only way we can ever be pure is through the blood of Jesus. How faithful are we to Christ? To what degree do we partake with the adulterous and sinful generation that Jesus decried? I think this is an individual question and a general answer will be incorrect. We are each different in our personalities and our walk with God and we all sin in one way or another. And lets face it, we are sinners and will not be perfect this side of heaven. What does the marriage relationship say about love, communication, and intimacy with Christ? You are supposed to be your mates best friend and companion. Jesus wants to be your companion, your sole mate.
  16. Q3. (Colossians 3:2-4) To what degree is Christ the center, the focus of your life? If you had to prove to another person that Christ is the center of your life, what evidence would you muster? What evidence would contradict this? What kind of repentance is necessary to reprioritize your life? I try to make Him the total centre of my life. Wow, I do not know how to prove to another person that He is the centre of my life except by the way I live and treat other people. The contradiction would be that I do get angry but then I never said I am perfect. I am also just learning and a work in progress. I am but a toddler when it comes to my faith. Everytime I get angry I repent afterward and ask God to help me not get so angry. I am much better than I used to be.
  17. Q2. (John 6:51; 15:1-5) What do Jesus’ teachings on the Living Bread and the True Vine teach us about drawing from his life? Jesus teaches us that we desperately need Him for everything just like the leaves need the vine to survive we are totally dependant on Him. What happens to our vital Life when we rely on ourselves, and stop relying on him? Our spiritual selves wither and become a poorly mishapen dry twig. Why is it so hard for us humans to learn the lesson of dependence and trust? It is because of the selfish nature we carry with us. We are so worried that we will not get what want, and sometimes we do not even trust ourselves. We want to make our own decisions and walk our own perfect(in our eyes) road. Luckily God will help us learn dependance and trust if we allow Him to.
  18. Q1. (John 1:9; 8:12) In what sense is Jesus the True Light? In what sense is He the Light of the World? He is the True Light of the world in the sense that He bring spiritual light. Why do you think people resist Jesus’ light, his truth, his view of the Father, our world, and eternal life? I think people resisted it because they had their own ideas of what He should be and what He should do. They were very hard headed and stubborn in their ways. They knew what they wanted and nothing else would do. How does the world’s so-called “light” differ from Jesus’ light? Jesus brought spiritual light to the world and not physical light. What can obstruct Jesus’ light in this world? Us What can obstruct our light? Again us. If we do not shine for Jesus and put our light on a pedestal then we are hampering not only ourselves but also Jesus.
  19. According to the slave-ransom analogy, who is the slave? We are the slaves What is he enslaved by? We are enslaved by our sin Who offers the ransom? Jesus offered the ransom for all of us. If Satan is involved in the enslaving process, why isn't the ransom paid to him? Satan hates us. He will not accept a ransom and then let us go. No, he wants all men to perish in the fires of hell. I believe that the heavenly realm is much more complicated than we can understand and as such I trust in God and that He excecuted the perfect plan to save us. Why isn't the slave-ransom analogy spelled out completely in the New Testament? This question brings to mind another that is also not spelled out in the new testament. Explain the triune God. Remember God wants us to trust Him, have faith in Him. In His wisdom He decided that we do not need to know all the particulars. We just need to know that He loves us and that he is our provider and heavely Father.
  20. The open grave and the disciples seeing Jesus again afterwards. He even taught them again. Then the best proof is how Jesus changed his disciples and even today every one of us who gives our lives to Him. If you just open your eyes to Him you can see every day how He walks with us and keep us safe and teach us. God is amazing
  21. In light of all the world's religions, how can Jesus be the Way to God, the exclusive door or gateway? Jesus declared this to be so. He is 1 part of the triune God. His word is true and also a word from God. Believe it. Why does this offend the world? Because the world wants to compromise. They are like a hard headed child who kick against everything. How can there be just one way, there has to be more. Not true. Since it is true, how can we most winsomely declare this truth to our generation? I really do not know. I am suffering a teenager at the moment and can honestly say that there is none so deaf as those who do not wish to hear.
  22. How does the disciples' psychological state after the crucifixion provide excellent support for belief in the resurrection? They were sad and dejected and in grief. Badly. This means that there were no plan or expectation for the resurrection.
  23. How should we disciples apply the principles: "You are not your own, you were bought with a price"? How should this affect our living? We should live like we are accountable to God. We belong to Him and He paid the high price so we can be free from the world. We should therefore live the way He requires of us.
  24. What does being steadfast and immovable have to do with the hope of the resurrection? Why is our labor not in vain in the Lord? It is so because just like all those years ago the Jews refused to believe such an outlandish event as ressurection, we still refuse to believe in especially the Holy Spirit and resurrection. We have to be steadfast and immovable in our faith as this is the points the devil likes to attack us on. You did not and cannot see it so how do you know it is true. Just believe. Our labour is not in vain as God sees everything and knows everything. If nobody else knows you can be totally sure that God does.
