  1. It is jarring because of its violence. And mess. And suffering involved with death. The awfulness of our sin. The terrible cost involved in cleansing our sin. We don't like to think of ourselves as messy, sinful and deserving of judgment. Certainly not to the point that God's Son had to suffer and die for us. Too uncivilized.
  2. Because Jesus is worthy of all praise for all time. Jesus cleanses all of us, and he is LORD of all of us. We must treat each other as considering others better than ourselves, because we are family and valued equally by the Lord Jesus. Should not act like we are better than anyone else. Listen to, love and respect them.
  3. To bring final justice to God's creation. Deterrence to those who will listen. Retribution to those whose hearts are hard. We think of Lambs as gentle, innocent. It is hard for us to think of wrath as pure. We get anger wrong all the time. Jesus is full of grace and truth. If we err in our thinking one way or the other, we get it wrong. An angry, vengeful God, or a big Grandpa in the sky. Neither accurate. We then will think speak and act wrongly.
  4. It was wonderful to praise God out loud. I felt His presence, and a reminder of who I am and who He is.
  5. Sin. Despair. Negativity. Yes. He is a good God worthy of my praise. He wants my eternal fellowship. I don't know why, and I don't deserve it, but I am thankful for it.
  6. It says that He values me greatly, an desires that I have an eternal relationship with Him. He was willing to die and endure unimaginable suffering so I could live with Him eternally. Hard to fathom that. I pray I can think of myself like He does. I should hold Him in awe and reverence, yet be unafraid to boldly approach his throne, and cast my cares upon Him. He was found in likeness as a man and became obedient to death on a cross.
  7. Standing though slain. At the throne, though slain. All powerful and all seeing though slain. He is able to carry me and help me live in His joy, comfort, and victory. They are my strengths in as much as I allow God to comfort me, heal me, and work through me in these areas. Which means I turn them over to Him as my LORD.
  8. Humility leads to victory. By giving up our way/power, we are given God's power working through us. By displaying attributes of the lamb, Jesus gains the role/ attributes of the lion. Being formed into the image of a man, and submitting to death on the cross. It is necessary for us to be humbled so we live and work according to God's po and not our own.
  9. Everyone is worshipping because they see God clearly. Nothing hinders their access to Him. That is the proper response, to sing and praise Him. We get bored when we lose our vision of Jesus. Unable to fix our eyes on Him, we think @ our own concerns. It indicates we are prone to wander. We can continue seeking Him asking for a soft heart and eyes fixed on Jesus.
