  1. I am in the state of grace because of what Christ has done in saving me and shedding His blood for me. Many years ago I knew of Jesus but did not have a personal relationship with Him. I was not in a church where they teach, new birth, relationship, justification. I had a need and a friend told me that I could have a relationship with Christ and that He saves, delivers and heals. In my need I cried out to Him in faith and He welcomed me with open arms and revealed Himself to me. I have been justified by faith, and have peace with God, through our Lord Jesus Christ. He began a work in me and will complete it by His wonderful grace and also to help me when I mess up. When Christ came in my heart I received peace with God and also the peace of God. I was an undeserving sinner saved by grace. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9 The opposite of peace with God is no peace.
  2. It is a powerful revelation of God's Grace, because the land was guilty of the vilest adultery in departing from the Lord. Gomer prostituted herself to other men as Israel went a whoring after other gods. Of God's grace, mercy, love, compassion and forgiveness. God's relationship with Israel - Example: The Lord said to me, 'Go, show your love to your wife again, though she is loved by another and is an adulteress, Love her as the Lord loves the Israelites, though they turn to other gods and love the [sacred] raisin cakes.'" (Hosea 3:1) God's Grace: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning;great is your faithfulness." (Lamentations 3:22--23)
  3. God forgives all sin when we sincerely repent. Rebellion creeps in little by little. That is why we need to stay close to the Lord and His word. ”Those who refuse to repent, those who reject or ignore his offer of pardon .He does not leave the guilty unpunished; he punishes the children and their children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation. Because the children usually follow in the footsteps of the parents.
  4. We learn in what God said to Moses - And he passed in front of Moses, proclaiming, “The Lord, the Lord, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness, maintaining love to thousands, and forgiving wickedness, rebellion and sin. I had wondered why He said twice, the Lord, the Lord? Because God Himself is Grace. Everyone one of His attributes point to grace - compassion, grace, patience, love faithfulness, forgiveness - nothing we deserve.
  5. Grace is a free gift of God. None of us deserve it. You don't have to work for it. Wages you get from a job, because you did the work required of you. You don't get God's favor by being good. It is only by God's grace. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:17. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9 The God of all grace - He not only gave himself for us, but continues to give Himself for us in giving us of His Spirit, of His working His character in us, in making intercession for us, we are always on His mind and He that began a good work in us will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.
  6. When you judge the law, you are not keeping it, but sitting in judgment on it. 12 There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to save and destroy. But you who are you to judge your neighbor?" (James 4:11-12) It is so tempting to criticize others because it causes us to not look at our own faults but on the faults of others, making us prideful. Until we have walked in someone else's shoes and been what they have been through, we have no right to judge. Criticizing someone conflicts strongly with the law of love. "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails." (1 Corinthians 13:4-8).
  7. They are all so vital because in doing them the Lord delivers us out of our predicament and we draw closer to the Lord and we grow in Him. They go against our flesh because flesh wants its own way We are to put to death the deeds of the flesh by the Holy Spirit living within us. Resisting the devil because I am not sure it is always the devil. Sometimes I think it is me and then afterward I know it is the devil.
  8. James refers to church members as adulteresses in the feminine form deliberately, however, because he is referring to believers as married to God. The church is the bride of Christ. Adultery consists of flirting with the world. When we are married to one husband, but flirt with another lover, we are adulterous. Christ is the aggrieved husband. When we are friends with the world, our allegiance is not toward God but to the world Anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God."
  9. No, God is not against pleasure. Rev. 4:11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. If you are living to increase your pleasure in evil desires, passion and ****, and are not seeking to love others and caring for their needs but our own selfish and lustful desires, God is not pleased.
  10. Peacemakers sow peace with Love and produce a harvest of righteousness. Love needs to displace selfishness in our hearts. When our heart is changed by love, our tongue changes and we can produce a crop of righteousness. We are no longer filled with selfishness, we are filled with selflessness. We may have slip ups but we can ask the Lord to help us. A scripture I say is " Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in thy sight Oh Lord, my strength and my Redeemer." Psalm 19:14 The crop of righteousness grows in peacemakers.
  11. Bitter envy is jealously of someone else and what they have, selfish ambition is your wanting and ******* to have something no matter who you hurt or have to step on to get it and that is where you find disorder and every evil practice." All this is not humility. Humility is putting someone else ahead of you and caring for their needs and concerns. Denial of bitter envy and selfish ambition prevents healing because you are not truthful and honest and your heart is not right. Our words betray our hearts. If we confess it to the Lord and ask Him to heal our hearts of this, we can be healed. Boasting about these prevents healing because we are prideful.
  12. No man can tame it. All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles and creatures of the sea are being tamed and have been tamed by man, but no man can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison." (James 3:6-8) Don't you see that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and then out of the body? But the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart, and these make a man 'unclean.'" (Matthew 15:17-18) There has to be a changed heart.
  13. Because in being a teacher, you have to teach what the Word says and not your own opinion. You need to hear from God and speak truth. Because they should know better, be an example and need to practice what they preach. Teachers are held to a higher example. They need to teach truth, as they are accountable to God. They need to practice what they preach, as they are an example to the people. They are held to a higher standard since they know better! When we know better, we should be held to a higher standard also,
  14. Salvation is by grace not by the works of the law. Eph.2:8-9 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy he saved us by the washing of regeneration and the renewing of the Holy Ghost. Titus 3:5 It is only after we put our faith in Christ. "For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do" Ephesians 2:10. In other words, we are not saved by works, but saved in order to do good works. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Eph. 2:8-10 Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
  15. They believe and know there is one God and shudder. We believe Him, we trust Him, reverence Him, cling to Him and He is an every day part of our life. The non-practicing Christians know the right words, can easily be lead to worldliness, their heart is not changed, they are self centered and not Christ centered. They may sound nice to someone in need but do nothing to help them out.
  16. Yes, we are responsible for the poor in the church community. They are the body of Christ with whom we share and love. To those outside the church we have an outreach that distributes to the poor in the community, giving food, clothing, and witnessing. Also, every Saturday during the summer, at noon, we have a ministry called "Pizza in the Park" where we witness, give the Gospel, pizza and pray with the poor and homeless.
  17. Faith is dead if we are not stepping out on what the Word says to do. If we are not a doer of the Word, our faith is dead. Faith without works is dead. Our faith is alive when we do the works of God. Love one another, as I have loved you. Give and it shall be given unto you, Give testimony, be a good example of what the Lord has done in you life. Shine for Him.
  18. In showing regard to the wealthy we are showing favoritism and not having mercy for the poor and that is breaking the Royal Law. if you have been merciful, God will be merciful when he judges you. Hosea 6:6 For I desire steadfast lovea and not sacrifice, the knowledge of God rather than burnt offerings. Matt. 5:7 Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy. Matt. 9:13 Now go and learn what this means : ‘I DESIRE COMPASSION , RATHER THAN SACRIFICE ,’ for I did not come to call the righteous , but sinners .” Mercy is our bragging point as believers. Not that God won't send people to hell for their sins. He will, but he takes no delight in it. Our bragging point is that our God shows mercy to sinners, and delights to do so. Let us tell the world.
  19. It is the Royal because it takes in all the commandments. Loving God and loving our neighbor as ourselves. It is more royal than the Mosaic Law because when you love your neighbor as yourself, your not hurting him, killing, stealing, committing adultery, stealing his wife, or coveting his goods. It breaks the Royal Law toward the rich person because when you are showing favoritism it is sin and you are convicted by the law as lawbreakers. It breaks to Royal Law in regard to the poor person because God loves everyone. Favoritism is evil in God's sight. God's Word says, Do not pervert justice; do not show partiality to the poor or favoritism to the great, but judge your neighbor fairly. (Lev. 19:15)
  20. We need to spread ourselves out and not have favorites - welcoming and getting to know everybody. The person you are judging, you really need to get to know. You might change your opinion. To know someone is to love them. They are probably going through the same thing you are.
  21. I discriminate against cliques in the church. Sometimes people of certain cultures in the church don't think of you as one of them and they have their own favorites. Maybe as a child we were taught to just hang with our own family or culture, but when I became a Christian, God took away color from me and I did not see color, I saw a person that was just as I and had the witness of the Spirit, that we as Christians are both children of God. I have a problem with judging and criticizing the way a people in the church dress, holes in jeans on platform, etc. and I am asking the Lord to help me with this. I want to look at the person's heart, not their outward appearance. As far as i know, the church and myself are not trying to impress anyone.
  22. We need to think before we speak. Having an untamed tongue brings hurt and pain to others. We are not giving glory to God or being a good example of our faith. Would we like to be hurt or demeaned by others? Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets. Matt. 7:12 Caring for the poor takes us away from ourselves, showing compassion for others. Giving and sharing with others in need is s an act of Worship.
  23. The perfect law is no longer rules and regulations. It is the perfect law what God has put in our minds and in our hearts as believers. It is God's love. It is doing it, the law He has put in our hearts to love one another as He has loved us. When we do this, as He says in His Word, it is the perfect law of liberty.
  24. We are easily fooled and think that listening to Bible teaching changes us. It does not until we are a doer of that Word. I was memorizing scripture and then realizing that I did good in memorizing but now actually thinking on what I was saying it became life to me and the Holy Spirit bringing it to my remembrance when I needed it. Don't get too familiar with the Word that you think you are doing it, deceiving yourself.
