  1. (Psalm 91) What does this psalm teach us about God's protection when in danger? What does it teach about our authority to vanquish our enemies? What promises does Psalm 91 contain? How does this psalm make you feel? God is with us He will protect us, He is our safety place. Because of Him we do not fear those things that comes up against us, because it cannot touch us even though we will see it , He promises us that He will rescue those of us that Love him, He will protect us, answer us when we call on him, will be with me in trouble, rescue me. We must make so hard decision sometime to separate ourself from those that are amonst us in order to stay faithful to God will for our life so that Psalm 91 can become real to us. I Love you Lord and thank you for giving me the choice to choose salvation.
  2. Q1. (Psalm 61:1-4) What images does the psalmist evoke to communicate his trust in God's protection? How do the first four verses of this psalm make you feel? The Psalmist felt that God was his Rock of safety. That God is strong enough that nothing or no-one can hurt him. The first four verses give me reasurance that God is the Strenght of all my hurt, pain and situations. He is more than enough to take care of us in every situation. God is God and it is no one are nothing in the spirit or out that is like him and our Lord and Savor Jesus Christ. I find safety in His Love for me. Think you God for Jesus and the Love that is was given.
  3. Exercise. For one of the psalms in this lesson -- or another psalm with a similar theme -- do one of the suggested exercises to help you experience the Psalms (www.jesuswalk.com/psalms/psalms-exercises.htm). These include such things as praying a psalm, meditating, reading to a shut-in, paraphrasing, writing your own psalm, singing, preparing a liturgy, and memorizing. Then report to the forum what the exercise meant to you personally or share what you've written with others. I will like to share that since I've started studing the book of Psalm, it has been such a blessing. God is really revealing his Love for me through the Psalms. I'm understanding more and more each day. His present is always with me. I think God that He place this in my heart to do. Thank you also for sharing you blessed gift to us. God bless
  4. (Psalm 40:17) In this verse David combines both humility and faith in his prayer to God. Why are both humility and faith necessary? What happens when one of these qualities is missing? First I must say this is a powerful Psalm. When you go through so much pit fall in your life this is the Psalm that will humble you. I believe to be humble is to have faith you can't have one without the other. You see sometimes God allow us to get to the place when we have to become humble, he may be trying to tell us we are going the wrong direction, and place us back on the right road. Once we lose one of these qualities we are missing "God" blessing on our life. We must stay focus of what we are saying, doing, and wanting in our life. As for me I may sometime feel lonely but I have to focus on this one thing. It's not that I can ever be lonely because my Father in Heaven is always with me. This is a blessing to remember for me. So I humble myself like now and just get up and read His word which will bring my focus back on how blessed I'm that I still call talk with my God at 2:13am and not wake him up because He is always waiting to here from me.
  5. (Psalm 40:5b) When you realize that God's thoughts and plans are focused on you in particular, how does that make you respond? The first world that comes to mine is WOW. To really think that God who created everything and everyone is so powerful that he don't omit anyone especially me. To really know that he have a plan for me in this life and already know what it will be like in the end is great. But the problem is that we don't alway see it that way. But we should all take this time and really focus on that fact that we are really never alone. God focus is really on us. That is powerful. I never really thought about it that way, we often say God knows everything, are God see everything but to think about that fact that God focused is on everything it goes beyond seeing, and knowing, it tells me He is taking a special interest in me, he is watching over something/someone that is very important to Him. So in other words we are never alone, we always have someone to talk to, to embrace, someone that Love us no matter what. I think you in Jesus Name.
  6. (Psalm 69:30-32) Why does this lament (and nearly all laments in the Psalms) end with an upswing of hope and praise? What does this teach us about our own laments and prayers? Why is praise, the language of faith, so important in our prayers, especially prayers of desperate pleas for help? Once you go through some hurt and pain and you understand that God is who brought you through those thing it give you that extra hope and praise that you may need for things to come. It teaches me that no matter what we can't give God anything except our praise, because he is worthy to be praise. Our material things don't replace the praise, in other words God look at our heart not those things that is material on the outside, not those things that show that we are rich, He welcome our praise that is real. Praise is the language of faith and it is very important because it remines us that if you don't have faith we don't believe that God have control over ALL things, even when it doesn't go the way we want it to, you see God know what is best for use and we must only Trust him, and know that he already have it worked out.
  7. Q1. (Psalm 69:12-18) How could David dare to ask anything from God after the shameful things he had done with Bathsheba and Uriah? How does God's grace and mercy function in the face of our sins? How could he not? David knew that God was the only one that could truly forgive him and get him out of this mess. The great thing about this is that David had enough God in him to know that he must repent, ask for deliverance, and make a clean start. God grace and mercy shows his love for us, that is, He is not only a forgiving God but also a God that forget, he don't continue to bring our past to surface he directs us to what we need to do next to stay protected in his loving arms. Even when we are in our sin God is still watching over us. If we think back of those time when we wasn't a Christian, what if we had a God that didn't care about us enought that He gave us a second, third, and some fourth chance to recover, get out of our sinful ways. I'm thinkful that even to day as I rest in my bed with the flu I can still find the Love for My lord to think him for just be God in Jesus Christ name I love him with all my heart and I'm greatful that he cared enough about me that he still watches over me.
  8. In Psalm 95 we are commanded to worship the Lord. What are the reasons why we should worship contained in this psalm? Why do you think the warning in verses 8-11 is included in this psalm? How does this fit with the earlier elements of the psalm? We should worship the Lor because He is the Rock of our Salvation. He is the King above All king and He is Great the Great I'am. God created everything in Heaven and on Earth. He is our True and only God that takes care of us, we are his children. In verses 8-11 God is warning us that we don't want to be like the generation of our past. We need to listen to his command, follow it, and be obey it no matter what. God don't want to be angry with us, he have given us a chance to repent and get out of our sinful ways but it's our choice. Like he told those in the past when Moses was to lead his people to the promise land, because of the deaf ear to hear the command of the Lord it took them 40 years to get to the place were God was trying to direct them. Something when we want what we want we will often hear what we want to hear this is when God is telling us to unclover our eyes and see that we are about to commit a sin. We need to carefully adjust and focus on our life in truth and spirit of what we are doing that is not pleasing to our Lord. We don't want him to become angry with us, so the warning is in place we must take it and live by it. I Love you Lord
  9. Q1. (Psalm 150) What does this psalm teach us about praise? Where should praise occur? With what should praise be conducted? Who should praise? What does this psalm make you feel like after reading it out loud? This Psalm teaches that we should sing praise to God on earth and in Heaven. Praise should occur in his sanctuary. Praise should be conducted with trumpet, dancing, string instruments, harp and lyre. Everyone that have breath should praise the Lord. When I think about this Psalm it shows me how powerful our God is. How we should honor him at all times and sing praise to him no matter what, as long as we have breath. When I think about it, I will say Wow. God is such a wonderful God. It's not like he is asking us to do anything unpleasing, Our praise should bring us joy, peace, laughter, and it also clear our mine from the things of this world that may seem hard. I see this Psalm also as a Psalm the teaches us, what to do when we are grieve, afeared, receive bad news, going through difficult times and going through good time. It tells us to open our mouth and speak to the Lord through it all.
  10. Psalms 27 is a special Psalms for me. My sister sent this Pslams to me when I deployed. I read it day and night. When I feel down and evil try to come up against me I read it again and again. It have power behind the words. You see for me the Lord is my All and All. When I was afraid he covered me, when I was confused he directed me, when evil tried to come up againt me he kept me focus on Him. He watches over me day and night, even when I sleep he have me to rest knowing that it's ok. God power is beyond any thing I could experience. It's wonderful to know that God is God and it is no other like my Jesus. I want to Love like he love us. It's a powerful feeling to know that He is ALL that He said He is. In Jesus Christ name I love you Lord forever and ever. Thank you just for thinking about creating little me with a big heart.
  11. (Psalm 15) The Wisdom Psalms are meant to instruct us. How would you use this psalm in your family to instruct your children? What topics of right living does it cover? To teach them that in order to be with God you must live right. Do what is right, don't mistreat people, show love and despise evil. David said it all. It cover many topic, such as Love, gossip, money, hurt, pain, slander, and etc. This Psalm is a guidance that tell you in more detail what you need to live right. If you live right than Heaven belongs to you, If you don't than you make your bed in hell. The choice is what one must make for themself. As for me and my house we will serve the Lord. I will dwell in God house one day.
  12. (Psalm 1). This short psalm seems to reaffirm what we already know: the righteous will succeed and the wicked will perish. Why do we need to be reminded of this? From an emotional standpoint, what lines in this psalm stand out to you. Why do you think you like them? Because sometime while living for the Lord, it look as if many people of the world are doing great. It seem like they don't have problems as a christian. But as we all know this is only a trick of the devil. If those in the world are doing the things of the world, we must understand that the devil is out get those that believe in God not those that are don't. The lines that stand out to me is 1-3 because just knowing that I can have joy following God, and try daily to live my life that way without letting others change me to the things of world no matter how they feel, but me knowing that God is watching over me even as I go through my day and night. In order for us to bear good fruit we must be a tree of good fruit nothing inside is unclean. It a daily living and I pray that more of us will truly decide to have a made up mine that no matter what, I'm going to serve the Love of the Lord.
  13. . (Psalm 63) Why is recognition that God loves you the basis of all faith? What does this realization bring about in your life?If you can't understand and recognized that that a God whom you have never seen face to face love you so much that He gave love by send his only gotton son Jesus here for our love than how could you not have faith. Without faith how could you please God? how could you go through your days of good time and bad? How could you do anything? As for me my life is totally real with God. Jesus Christ have pave the way for all of us. My life is nothing without him. I love him because I no He love me even when I wasn't save He still Loved me. Now I'm trying to continue that love by loving others and helping whenever God led someone in my path.
  14. Q2. (Psalms 42-43). What is the psalmist feeling during this spiritual struggle? How does he combat his spiritual depression? Have you ever felt this way? How did you reach out to God at this time? He was feeling that God present was not with him. Thou he prayed day and night, he cry all night long his life was not looking as if God heard his cry. He was very depressed, but he didn't stop he keep praying, and crying out to the Lord but than he began to be still. Sometime when I didn't understand that God wanted me to just be still I continue to pray over and over for the same thing but had to understand that God heard my pray before I asked. He only wanted me to stand still so that I didn't continue to be in the way of my blessing. We must not only stand still but listen for his direction in what we do next. I thank God for allowing his Holy Spirit to teach me to be humble and direct me go in the path that I should go even if it takes a while I'm still going on his direction. Thank you God for your Son Jesus, what greater Love.
  15. Q1. (Psalm 27) What does it mean that David desires to "dwell in the house of the Lord"? What does it mean to "seek his face"? How does David provide hope at the end of this Psalm? First I will like to say this is one of my favorite Psalms. David desires is to always be in the present of God. To seek his face knowing that God present is with him he knows that no matter what God is with him. We hope is strong just knowing that the Lord is with us always no matter the hurt and pain that we exerience from our present situation are past God will never leave us nor will He forsake us. I love this Psalm of Hope it gives me that strength to hold on to God unchanging hand.
  16. David understand that it is no hinding place with God. He is amazed that God know it all before we do anthing. He know our today, tomorrow and end. My life was written before I was conceived. I was wonderfully and perfect made according to God purpose for my life here on earth. David is asking God to search his heart to make sure that he is doing all that he is to do. And to remove anything that is not pleasing to him out of his life, lead him in the way in which he should go. Order his step, and let him be the true man of God that he was made to be.
  17. Q2. (Psalm 19) Verses 1 to 6 seem very different from verses 7 to 13, but there is a common thread that relates the first part to the second part. What is it? In what way does the psalmist seem to bask in God's Word? Have you ever felt that way? How does the psalmist's wonder in creation seem to affect him in this psalm? In the classic prayer of verse 14, what is David asking God to do? God is the light of the world in Heaven and on earth. He is perfect in all thing. His amazing love never end, it is like a bridegroom after his wedding. He is joyful all day long. Now that I understand His love I can truly say that His love is so passanent and gentle that I try to stay in his present all day love and just embrace God love. It is the one and only true Love that I can alway be sure of. Davide is asking God for something that we all need to do daily that is to deliver him from all unclean thing not only by saying it but by living by it and believing it truly in your heart that God is real and his word is true. On our final day that it will be pleasing to Him.
  18. God is the one and only Great I am. He Loved us so much that he created such a beautiful pleace here on Earth. As his children he have also given us dominion over all the things of the earth. We were created to be higher than Angels and through Jesus we will restore. As children we must understand that when we feel that we are week that is when we are strong. God gave us the strength to overcome all things that the devil try against us but we have more power than the devil if we only believe and trust God. We are responsible for living our lives in a way that is pleasing to our Creator.
