The significance it brings to the crucifixion is that,Jesus in His Human body suffers all the Physical pain,..all those bruises in His Body,all those wounds,all those stripes bring so much agony in Him,so that we will not suffer the same punishment..WHY? Because God love us so much,that HE Give His Only begotten Son,to suffer,die in our behalf..(John 3:16)..Heaven was shut out black for three hours when God Punishes Jesus because of our Sin..He treat Jesus as one of the vilest,sinful man,and punish Him,and send Him to hell for three days..but even hell can’t contain Him,that in the Third Day,with all the power and might of the devil,to make him stay…JESUS ROSE FROM THE DEAD,TRIUMPHING OVER THE ENEMY,SHOWING LEADING CAPTIVITY CAPTIVES,PROCLAIMING THAT …HE HAS DEFEATED DEATH ,AND THAT WE NO LONGER MUST FEAR DEATH,FOR JESUS CONQUERED AND DEFEATED DEATH FOR US.. 1 Col 1:15- Disarming the rulers and authorities, he has made a public disgrace of them, triumphing over them by the cross.
