  1. God is love, He is merciful, and by the grace of God were we saved. How could we not serve and praise God, the only true God. He is so rich in mercy,a nd loved us so much, even though we were dead(because of our sins), gave us LIFE when he raised Christ from the dead. PRAISE GOD EVERYBODY!!!! WE ARE ALIVE IN CHRIST!!!! SHOUT FOR JOY!!!!
  2. People can unwittingly follow Satan from a lack of knowledge and understanding of God's Word. Satan is the spirit that works in the heart of those that disobeys God. Following that passionate desires and inclinations nature is what gets us in trouble. We have to put to death the desires of the flesh and yield to the spiritual. We are responsible for all of out action and choices. We will have to give an account before God. We have to be careful that our guide is what God desires of us and abide by his word. God in all his fairness love us, but he is a just God. He says if we love him we will obey him. There is no other way, we are accountable.
  3. Our non-believing friends are dead in the sense of their many sins and disobedience to God. We were once in this state, not realizing the state we were in. One might even say, "How can I be dead and still living?" Knowing that they are spiritual dead we should tell them how to live. Tell them how much God loves them that He gave His only begotten son that we could live. The wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life. The difference betweenn us and them is that we have accepted the gift of salvation and we are not bound by sin. We are obedient to His Word and we are made alive by Jesus Christ.
  4. There is unity in Christ. Christ is what draws all things together under one head. It is thru Christ that this will happen. God is the Creator of all things, not just believers. So all thing in heaven and earth will be under one head. Every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that he is Lord.
  5. I have been set free from the bondage of sin through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. If it were not for Jesus death and resurrection, I would have no hope. I was bought with a price. There would be no way to gain eternal life, and Jesus is the Way. It would be a life of doom, how hopeless. Our life would futile. How awful it would be to live in this world of trouble without hope. We can now say this is not our home, We are just traveling through to a better place. PRAISE GOD! I HAVE AN ETERNAL HOME NOW AND JESUS MADE IT POSSIBLE.
  6. Adoption shows how God sees us. We are special in his sight and He loves us. We are His children. This is encouraging to know that one person does not have the edge over another. He loves us the same and we all have the same opportunity(salvation) through Jesus Christ. We are a part of God's family and the inheritance is the same. Isn't that someting worth shouting about!
  7. HOLY IS THE WAY GOD SEES US WHEN HE HS FORGIVEN OUR SINS THROUGH JESUS CHRIST. WHAT A BLESSING! WE ARE CONSECRATED, SET APART TO GOD, WE BELONG TO HIM. IF WE ARE SURE WE ARE IN THE FAITH, KNOWING THAT GOD HAS FORGIVEN OUR SINS, WHICH WERE MANY, THEN WE ARE BLAMELESS BEFORE HIM. THANK YOU LORD JESUS! OUR SLATE HAS BEEN WIPED CLEAN BY THE BLOOD OF JESUS. GLORY TO HIS NAME! WE ARE AS WHITE AS SNOW, NO LONGER ARE WE AS RED AS CRIMSON.
  8. I belong to Christ, I am no longer my own. Being in Christ makse a world of difference when it comes even to making daily decisions. Daily, regarless of what the situation might be I will consider how it will affect my relationship with God. If we live our daily lives sin Christ, other will see Jesus in us. We will be that light that can not be hid. In this WORLD today, let us be that light. There are everlating benefits from being in Christ. Come on Saint, les stay in Christ and keep the light shinging.
  9. I guess if looked at from a human standpoint, predestination can be scary. It might seem as though some are predestine to live eternally and some might not. One might look at predestination and say, 'Why even try". Since this is of God we as Saints can have the assurance and the comfort that all is well and right. Paul brought this up to let them know that they did not just happen to be. The realization is that we did not just happen either. We are here for a reason and we have purpose. Regardless, God is still in control.
  10. This type of understanding will make us think that prayer really does not change anything and that it is a waste of time and energy. Our prayer life will be casual and passive. There is lack of faith and trust on God, being the God He is. God is a rewarder of those that deligient seek him. We can become unbeliever in our prayers if we are not careful. Let us remember that prayer is our way of communicating with oour Father in heaven. This helps build that personal relatiomship that we have with Him.
  11. The people had forgotten who their savior truly was. They begin to worship and sacrifice to a god mad by man. How easy we are to forget what God has brought us through. A loving God can be angry just as loving parents get angry when their children misbehave or just disobedient. God has told us that sin stink in his nistril and sin do not go unpunish in some form or another. God is the total opposite of sin. God's sentence is justifiable and serious about destruction. There are time he show mercy even tho there might be consequences. There will come a time of judgement when we must all stand before a just and righteous judge (God).
  12. We should continually ask for forgiveness because we want God to forgive us and we surely don't want forgiveness blocked. As long as we are in the flesh we are in need of forgiveness. Forgivensess is helpful in so many ways; good health and healing for the soul. If we want God to forgive us we surely are going to have to forgive others. This is a must! This is the Word of God. This is a matter that we all can be prayerful about because it is not easy to forgive certain people. This is going to have to be with the help of God.
  13. We like for others to think we are in control and don't need any help. To be truthful we all were in need of a Savior because we could not save ourselves. We should always be thankful because God has given us strength to make a living and earn what we have. For this I am very thankful and grateful! We are only stewards over what God has allowed us to have, all we have belong to Him.
  14. We are praying for the return of Jesus and this we will see fully on his return. The kingdom of this world will have become his. We know God is in control and that he allows thing to happen. We are not to be selfish in praying bur pray according to the will of God. We are praying for the quick return of Jesus. His timing is not our and that is great because he desires that we all are saved. We can't say that we have not had a chance to repent and receive Jesus as our LORD and SAVIOR. We should live a life of expectancy. Hopefully we are prepared for his return and ready to meet him. This is a great study because I think we all need help in how to pray and what to pray for. I want to pray in the spirit and according to the will of God.
  15. Our daily living/words should be acceptable to God. We should have reverence for God for HE is holy. Our words/life should be of respect for our Father. We should never use God's name in vain and in a common casual way. HE is our creator. Let us approach God with reverence and respect when we pray for who he is. He is our Father and he is great and holy. He deserve all our praise, respect and reverence. One day we all are going to have to stand before our Father.
  16. I have a tendency to discriminate against drug addicts and alcholic and those that have been in the household of faith for a longtime and still drinking milk. I pray for God guidance in these areas. I am in pray. God love us all and He shows no favortism. We should do the same. Our church family is a church that shows love to others. We have been told this over and over from vistors. Some have become part of our family because of the love shown. We try to make all feel welcome and love.
  17. I believe James is focusing on living daily the life that wew profess to be. We need to move out our comfort zone and be of service to others in need. The love that God wants us to have toward others will move us to action. When Jesus looked upon the people we had compassion. Let us folow the ultimate and perfect example, Jesus Christ.
  18. The perfect law is love your neighbor as thyself. We have to have the love of God in us inorder for us to love the way God requires us to love. This is not emotional love, we are to love regardless and inspite of. God loved us that he gave his only begotten son that we might have life and have it more abundantly. We are no longer bound by a set of written rules and regulations that we are unable to keep. We are free because we have the law in our mind and heart. What a blessing!
  19. According to the world if we are well educated in an area of study we are an expert on that topic. We might know about the word of God, we may even know the word of God and are church goers but are not doers. We become self righteous because of knowledge. On the ouside we look clean, but oh when you look on the inside you see the real picture. Let us not be deceive! We have a tendency to look at others and see what they are doing or should not be doing. We are expert in pointing the finger at others. I have notice that when we are pointing the finger at others we have several pointing back to us. To see a true picture of oneself just look at the Word of God. His word is still speaking to us today. IT IS TRULY THE TRUE AND LIVING WORD! We need to hear the Word and also doers of the word.
  20. We are not here by chance, all is an act of God. In order to be spiritually alive we must be, we got to be born again! We believe in and trust the Word of God because truly and literally it is God's Word. Our Spiritual life have everything to do with the Word. God is a true and living God that is still speaking to us today.
  21. If we lack wisdom we should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. The condition is that we must believe and not doubt. We must ask with a clear commitment and faith. Trials help us receive this wisdom by helping us take a good look and identify the issues and do what is necessary to make the decisions we need to make.
  22. Trials help us admit or identify the part or parts that are sinful, wrong and then we can repent. We come to the point where the rubber hit the road or hit rock bottom that we have to sumit to God and resist Satan. The Words says when we do this that satan will flee. Our mind should be on God. When we are victorious in our trials and we remain faithful, God is glorified. We also grow spiritually. We need to keep our mind stayed on Jesus.
  23. People blame God because we always want to blame others and not ourselves. There comes a time and there will be a time when we have to stand before God for ourself. There is the possibility for evil but not created by God. We are free-will individual and we have a choice, just like Adam and Eve. We sin from our own evil desires that are within us. God may test us but this is not to see us yeild to sin but to strengthen us and make us stronger in our faith. God wants what best for us and want us to be obedient to his word, regardless.
  24. Trials have had tremendous value in my life. At the time there were times I did not think so. As I matured in Christ and look back over my life, I have benefit from my trials. My trials have taught me to lend on and trust God. The WORD tells us to submit to God and resist the devil and he will flee from us. God's Word id faithful, just, and true. Therefore I have NOT let Satan destroy me. God has refined me over the years and I have changed in so may ways. Thanks be to GOD!
  25. Abraham is expected to live righteous before God. He expects Abraham to be true to the covenant. We are not perfect in the flesh but are complete in the spirit because of our relationship with God through Jesus Christ. We are declared righteous because of our faith in Christ. God expects the same from us today under the new covenant.
