Q1. The Rescuer

Recommended Posts

Q1. (Galatians 1:4) According to verse 4, for what purpose did Jesus give himself? How does Jesus rescue people today? How does he keep people from falling back into their old ways?

Jesus gave Himself as the ultimate sacrifice to pay for our sins. His death and resurrection was for all mankind past, present and future. When we accept His sacrifice on our behalf and recognise His deity in the Trinity, we are empowered by the Holy Spirit to strengthen us as we continue as redeemed children of the Living God. Devoting ourselves to His Will gives us guidance in the face of temptation and, though there may be times of weakness, His grace and love will bring us back again if we will submit our will to His.

(He)gave himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age,

That we may not perish in our sins. We are all born a sinful birth when we are first born. By being born again, by the Spirit, we are washed clean from our sins and sanctified (set apart) to lead a holy life through the Holy Spirit indwelling in us to lead us down the right path.

Jesus died on the cross for my sins because I am guilty of breaking God's law. Jesus not only died for my sins, but also rescued me from this evil world. He not only died for my sins but for the sins of the whole world - his death is the free gift of God for all who believes in Jesus.

God gave us his word (the Bible) to teach us His will and the Holy Spirit to lead us every day

Q1. (Galatians 1:4) According to verse 4, for what purpose did Jesus give himself?

Paul mentions in this salutation that Yahushua is the One Who gave Himself on behalf of our sins, so He could deliver us out from the present evil age according to the will of our God and Father, to Whom be glory forever and ever. Amen This little bit epitomizes the Good News. Yahushua’s atoning death, forgiveness of sin, salvation’s promise, obedience to God’s will, resurrection and continuing authority, all for God’s glory. This is the standard against which to measure the false supposedly good news that the false teachers had brought.

How does Jesus rescue people today? The same way He has ever since he ascended into the heavens. By the power of the Holy Spirit, He calls those whom He plans to call.

How does he keep people from falling back into their old ways? Rather than our obedience to Him and the ‘whispers’ of the Holy Spirit, legalism is based on obedience to a set of rules that was never intended to save us, but only ground us in the view of our need for salvation’s promise through the blood of Christ Jesus rather than animals that were used in the interim until the perfect Lamb of God was revealed.

As a good co-shepherd would, Paul had no choice but to use the strongest possible language because he had been the man responsible for establishing these congregations on the path of truth. If not, these false teachings would have destroyed all of God’s work that He had worked through Paul. If Paul had brought any other gospel, it would have been an accursed thing.

It is kind of like when the High Priest would take the fire from the established altar and take that to use when he entered into the Holy of Holies, if he had ‘not’ taken the fire from the altar, this would have represented a false fire, a fire that would not always stay lit and would soon burn out. If he had used any other fire, he would have died. Similarly to the angel in John’s vision that took the censer, filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake. If it were not fire from the TRUE ALTAR, it would do nothing but burn out as it is thrown to the earth.

Leviticus 16:12-13 And he shall take a censer full of burning coals of fire from off the altar before the LORD, and his hands full of sweet incense beaten small, and bring it within the veil: And he shall put the incense upon the fire before the LORD, that the cloud of the incense may cover the mercy seat that is upon the testimony, that he die not:

This is the way that we all keep from falling back into our old ways. We are filled with the fire from the True Altar and as long as we heed the promptings of the Holy Spirit, we will receive salvations promise and we shall surely live.

The purpose that Jesus gave himself was for our sins and to rescue us from the evils of this world according to the will of God the Father.

Jesus rescues us today by using the people in the ministry to evangelize those who do not believe in Jesus. We are all in the ministry and we are to go and make disciples and baptize them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Ghost. Then He gives us a leader to keep reminding us what Jesus has done for us and to help support us in our ministries.

Jesus gave himself up to die on the cross for our salvation from sin and the resultant eternal death.

He rescue people today in line with John 3:16 : For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (KJV).

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (KJV)

Jesus' purpose was to give himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age which was the will of God and Father.

Jesus rescues people today by offering them salvation thru His death on the cross and resurrection. All people have to do is believe that what He did is true, that He is God, and turn from their sins. Acknowledge that they are sinners in need of a savior.

God sent the Holy Spirit to help people stay on track. The Holy Spirit guides and directs our path and helps us know what is right and wrong.

(1a) Jesus gave Himself for our sins so that He could deliver us from the evil world. Jesus' death was for us so that we can have eternal life.

(1b) Jesus rescues us today through His original plan of salvation. That we believe Jesus died on the cross for our sins; we ask for forgiveness os our sins on a regular basis declaring that we know we are a sinner.

(1c) Jesus keeps us from falling back into our old ways by His Spirit living within us and convicting us of our wrongs or evil ways so that we ask for His forgiveness and help in living a more Christ inspired lifestyle.

(Galatians 1:4) According to verse 4, for what purpose did Jesus give himself? Jesus came as a sacrificial Lamb to take away our sins. He stood in our place. It was the will of God the Father for Him to talk away our sins and to deliver us from the evil of this world.

How does Jesus rescue people today? He rescues people the same way He did long ago. He offers the gift of salvation to anyone who will believe on His name. If we confess with our mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in our heart that God raised Him from the dead, we will be saved/rescued from the present darkness of this world. Hallelujah!

How does he keep people from falling back into their old ways? I believe it's through the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is our Keeper. When we accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, He made a promise of the Holy Spirit. If we walk in the Spirit, we will not fulfill the **** of the flesh (fall back into our old ways).

Christ give Himself to rescue me from my sins. His death became the death of my sins through my faith in Him. He showed his love for me by dying on the cross in my behalf.

Jesus rescue people today by offering Himself to us. If we accept Him as our Lord and Savior, we become among the people whom He rescued from their sins. We become freed from the bondage of sin and enjoy an everlasting and abundant life with Him.

Jesus encourages us to remain in Him and to let His words remain in us. If we are detached from Him, we will surely die and fall back to our old ways.

Jesus Christ gave himself for our sins, as a great sacrifice to make atonement for us. Not only to redeem us from the wrath of God, and the curse of the law, but also to recover us from the corruption that is in the world and to rescue us from the vicious practices and customs of it, which we are naturally enslaved to. Jesus has done so according to the will of God and our Father and His own free will. Because He completely rescued us from our sins, there is no place for efforts to save ourselves. Our Christian faith rescues us from trhis evil world in which we live.

Q1. (Galatians 1:4) According to verse 4, for what purpose did Jesus give himself? How does Jesus rescue people today? How does he keep people from falling back into their old ways?

Jesus gave Himself to rescue us from our sins, since sin separates man from a holy God. He rescues people today by the preaching of the Cross and sending missionaries and others to spread the message of the Gospel, the good news. He enables us to overcome the past and not go back by leading us by His indwelling Holy Spirit, by giving us His Word, which has the power to strengthen us so that we dont go back to doing the things in the flesh like we used to.
