Q3. Cultivating Inner Beauty

Recommended Posts

Q3. (3:4-6) How does a person cultivate inner beauty? How does one gain character? Why is true character so important and precious to God? How can character help a Christian woman win and hang onto her husband?

A person can call of eight inner beauty and gain character by following the precepts of Saint Peter of:

  • Faith- to trust, to put their hope in, the promises of God.
  • Obedience to God and His Covenant with the children of Israel and to local authorities.
  • We are to be fearless, courageous, and rise above a reign of terror. We are not intimidated. We live upright lives because of their character rather than out of fear. We obey Earthly laws when they are in line with the attributes of God's Kingdom.
  • Righteousness, a person of God lives an upright life and blesses those around  (Proverbs 31:10-31).

We cultivate inner beauty by trusting God for all things, obedien to God commandments, living a righteous life and be courageous by living a fearless life. The true character is so important and precious to God because it's an evidence of proving our loyalty to God that we belong to Him. The godly character helps woman to win and hang onto her husband because he sees in her something worthy to behold.

Inner beauty like everything else we want to improve takes time and patience and perseverance. True character which includes love, compassion, patience is achieved by recognizing what it is, desire to achieve it through prayer and much repetition because we won’t be 100% true. We need to recognize that as Jesus was faithful to His Father, we need to be passionate about following His example. Everyone is attracted to beauty that they can see, but beauty from the inside reflects Jesus and even if it is not initially recognized as a Jesus quality, it is something that attracts and retains relationships. Only by this can we lead people to Christ.

How can character help a Christian woman win and hang onto her husband?

It is by joining our life to the life of Jesus that the Holy Spirit will start producing the character traits found in Jesus (John 15:4-5). We must know Jesus, love Him, and imitate Him, then the fruit of the Spirit will grow in us and give us that inner beauty. It is not possible to do this on our own, we need His help and the working of the Holy Spirit in our lives. Being like His Son is important and precious to God. We will be putting all our faith in Jesus, we will be living a righteous life of obedience to Him. Any husband will count himself most fortunate and will want to hold onto such a precious jewel.

Inner beauty is cultivated as a wife hides the word of God in her heart. You become what you continuously do. If we are to establish His character and live out the fruits of the Spirit, we need to constantly keep them in front of us.We can't be one way today and another way tomorrow. We have to be consistent, putting others needs before ourselves, living like Jesus did and loving like He loved. Your inner beauty will be seen by your husband as you illustrate these traits: meekness, humility, respect, obedience, love, empathy, consideration...You will win his heart when He sees this in you.

One cultivate inner beauty and gain character by yielding regularly to the Spirit of God and letting that Spirit reign in your life. True character is important and precious to God because he values us so highly.   Being obedient to God's word pleases Him. Character will help a Christian woman win and hang onto her husband because he will see her great value.  He will notice her inner beauty filled with love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

Inner beauty is cultivated when we allow ourselves to die to "self" and allow the Holy Spirit to renew our hearts. This takes submission, discipline, self control, daily application of the word of God. Character is gained when we set our minds to practice or put to exercise God's word( the fruit of the Spirit), in a daily basis. We start forming habits(good), which with time form our character.

True character is important to God because it is through our testimony(our walk) that He is glorified. It's through us that others will come to know Jesus. We are reflecting our Father in heaven. This pleases God.

According to the bible, women with godly character can win over their husbands with the way she treats him: with love and respect. I, myself, am having a difficult time with my husband in this area. Makes me feel like he's taking advantage of my "niceness", and continues in his mean, egoistical(selfish) ways. But, this is where longsuffering comes in, and patience, and trust that God is in control and will give me the victory.

1. It is cultivated by having the respectful inner beauty that God desires, having the original attribute of the divinity and everything belonging,  to it. Also by gentle, humble, considerate, and a meek spirit. It’s necessary to be well ordered, have quietness without disturbance, and rest.

2. Putting our faith in God, being obedient in every way, being righteous by what is doing good, and having courage to be fearless, courageous, and rise above a reign of terror. Ensuring not to be intimidated.

3. It allows God to look on your heart and smile in enjoyment of your character which he values so highly.

4. True character helps a discerning husband catch a glimpse of your heart, making it possible for you to catch and keep him. Therefore, you might win him to Christ because he sees in you something worth having.

A person can gain character by being obedient and living a righteous life for Christ.

A true character is important to God because they are obedient to husbands and God. Thier faith continues to grow by remaining in the word of God, thus becoming righteous in the daily living.

By having a good character a woman can earn the respect of her husband and the society around her. For she is living a life that is a true witness of her faith in Christ.

By living totally for Jesus every minute of every day.  Letting the Holy Spirit change us.

Our character is changed when we put into action the fruit of the Spirit in our everyday lives & decisions.

Our true character speaks of the closeness of our relationship with Jesus each day and brings glory to God.

Husbands are drawn like magnets to the fruit of the Spirit in their wives daily lives.

A person cultivate inner beauty having a pure heart.  Character is gain from a pure heart, out of which flow the very thoughts of a man.  True character is important and precious to God because it come out of faith in God; without which we cannot see His face.  Character help a Christian woman win and hang onto her husband when she is doing what is upright and lives in good relations with her husband.

Inner beauty is character. Character is developed through suffering. There may be incremental steps toward building character in times of ease, but most of us grow most rapidly and deeply when we're put into His crucible. Only after we finally emerge from the crucible -- before the next plunging ... sigh -- can we look back to see how our characters had been strengthened, changed and made more Christ-like.

If a woman feels she has to "win" and "hang onto" a man, something is desperately amiss in the relationship. In the normal order of things, men pursue women (women don't win over men). This is why character is important. Any man worth his weight in salt will value character enough to avoid women who are not pursing holiness -- any woman of developed character will avoid men who are too immature or spiritually shallow to put character at the top of their list.

A woman with a spiritually immature husband is stuck, frankly. She should pray that God works mightily in their relationship and continue doing what she knows to be His will and being/becoming the person He has called her to be.
