What application are we disciples to derive from this passage so that we might understand God's might as Creator? Weary is the primary word in these verses. He compares our weakness and weariness to His strength that holds us up. According to the passage, weariness is inevidible in His creation; even youths whose vitality and strength we tend to admire, He says WILL grow weary. This is then compared to the LORD who will NOT grow weary. Not only that but He possess the strength to hold and strengthen those whose hope is in Him. He provides the strength for us to walk, run and persevere. He created and sustains. Its comforting to know that weariness is not a bad thing but a sign for me to depend on Him. As disciples, to be able to understand Gods might as the Creator according to this passage we must put all our hope in Him who is able to give us strength and renew it daily even in the face of any tiredness or weariness. It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in: That bringeth the princes to nothing; he maketh the judges of the earth as vanity. B. v.28 Because He does not faint or grow weary, there is no searching of His understanding. His promise to His children in v.31, that as we look to Him, rely on His strength and hope in Him, we shall mount up to Him in closeness, shall run and not be weary, walk and not faint or become tired. I'm so thankful that He understands our frailty. Jesus on earth Who was fully God and fully man, got tired, thirsty, hungry, sleepy. Normal human needs. God is the Creator and He is too big compared to our puny self. While we become weary and tired, the Lord does not. He is strong and He remains strong all the time. But we who are weak, when wait on the Lord, our weakness is turned into strength. That’s what He told Paul. In Paul’s weakness, God’s strength is perfected. Jesus said, Come to Me all who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest. Our God is El Olam, the Everlasting God, who created and sustains everything by His power. We get so worked up with the mountains before us, but in the presence of the Lord, those mountains will melt like wax. Rather than looking up at the mountains from our perspective, it is so important that we soar up high like the eagles. From that vantage point, those mountains would seem so small. His grace is so sufficient for our lives. He is the El Shaddai – the all sufficient one, who is able to meet our need much more than we are able to think or imagine. The applications we should derive from this passage is that God does not grow faint or weary like man often does. He can renew our strength and cause us to run and not get tired. Fainteth in 28 is derived from the root faint which is found in 29 and 31. The word weary is in verses 28, 30, and 31. Strength is found in 29 and repeated in verse 31. As disciples we need to understand that 'He that sitteth upon the circle of the earth', He is the creator of everything. He alone can make or He can break. He alone is El Shaddai, the Almighty God. He has the power to do as He pleases. Verse 22 declares that 'the inhabitants thereof (the earth) are as grasshoppers'. Have no value without Him. There is nothing hidden from Him. This basically means that God our Creator will give us His strength and power when we seek Him, love Him and worship Him. It means that once we hope in the LORD, our God, He will empower us and renew us so that we too can soar like eagles and live with the power of His might. The most vigorous and powerful men may faint under strain,and utterly fail, but those "inner court" Christains have sabbath rest because they are now in the holies of holies, siting in heavenly places with Christ. Even youths grow tired and weary but God promises refreshing for those who will hope and trust in him. We can't exhaust God. God is Always on his job at all times. When humans get tired of their job at the end of day. God never gets tired of doing his job. He is always Faithful to fulfill what he promised.
